Junagarh Fort

A must-visit in Bikaner! Junagarh Fort is incredibly well-maintained. Just a quick tip: don’t confuse this with the place in Gujarat; it’s called 'Junagarh' here because it means 'Old Fort,' as the royal family eventually moved to the newer Lallgarh Palace. Tickets & Guides: The entry ticket already includes a guide, which is a great deal! They take groups in batches every 10 minutes. You don't need to pay them separately, though private guides are available if you prefer a one-on-one tour. Parking: There is paid parking inside the fort premises. It’s much safer and more convenient than parking on the busy main road. Museum: The collection of heritage items, weapons, and royal artifacts is impressive. You get a real sense of how the royal family lived. Definitely worth the visit! There is a cafe inside the fort which serve snacks n few art shop inside the fort premises

This is the prime spot in bikaner & probably the highlight of your sightseeing. The entrance fees is quite nominal, and it includes a guided tour of about 45 minutes. As usual, the architecture of the fort is amazingly beautiful with minute detailed craftsmanship. The rooms inside are very colourful & detailed in their wall structures. Even the floors of the darbar inside is so beautiful.

Visited Junagarh Fort this morning with my daughter, and it was a wonderful experience. The fort is extremely well maintained, clean, and organized. The staff and visitors inside were well behaved, which made the visit peaceful and enjoyable. The guide was knowledgeable and explained the history beautifully, especially the lives of the royals—their lifestyle, contributions, and how the fort evolved over time. It was fascinating to learn about the royal lineage and their vision behind such magnificent architecture. A great place to visit with children as well..both educational and visually stunning. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Bikaner.

I visited Junagarh Fort and found it very grand and beautiful. The fort has stunning architecture and rich historical value. The interiors are well preserved and full of detailed artwork. The courtyards and palaces inside are impressive. The museum inside the fort has many interesting artifacts. The carvings, paintings, and mirror work are very attractive. The fort is clean and well maintained. You get a great view of the city from inside the fort. It is a peaceful place to explore and learn about history. Overall, Junagarh Fort is a wonderful place and worth visiting.

Beautiful fort. Loved the built. Well maintained. The museum could have been better. The audio guides were super expensive, like 600 rupees! Iean if it could have been a bit afordable, then one would get to know better about the history of the place. The entry ticket is 200 as far as I remember. Thankfully there's a cloak room for you to keep your bags if you are doing just a day trip

One of the most beautifully maintained forts in Bikaner. The best part of buying the ticket is inclusion of Guided tour that helps understand the historical relevance of the fort. Definitely visit this fort and have atleast 2-3 hours in hand to enjoy the historical artefacts and stories scattered around the fort premises. Also, this land fort has never been conquered in battle.

The Junagarh Fort is really very beautiful. It's really impressive. There is so much to see inside. One needs at least one and a half hours to explore it fully. The Holi Chowk, the dance courtyard, Anoop Mahal are particularly beautiful. It's best to visit it in the afternoon.
