Junction Hotel

Had such a lovely dinner with a friend on Wednesday night. Very happy customers from start to finish. The menu is fantastic, so much choice and reasonably priced. The restaurant is very beautiful throughout and all the staff took such good care of us, welcoming us, taking our orders, so friendly and just amazing customer service from everyone we spoke to. Loved our meal and will definitley be back again as there was so much on the menu that I was keen to try.

We had a fantastic meal two nights ago at the Junction Tavern. Great atmosphere and decor, the food was really really good, but the most outstanding thing was the staff service. All of the staff were friendly, welcoming and knew the menu so well. They were straight on to it if we needed fresh drinks, and they checked in with us to see if we were happy with everything. Highly recommend for a great meal out.

What a great hotel. An old pub that has been renovated beautifully. Rooms clean and decorated nicely. Beds are comfortable. The restaurant downstairs is great. Food was delicious. Owners are very personable and funny. Made us feel very welcome. Great location with cafe's surrounding it. Shops down the road. Bus stops not far to get around the city. Would 100% stay here again.

Food at Junction Tavern is always excellent, but on the Sunday evening we attended, the music was so loud it was almost impossible to have a conversation. The setting is quite lovely, but the acoustics with a large crowd always make it hard to hear. A band, even in the bar and not the restaurant, makes conversation impossible. Such a shame because it’s a great place

Went to the Junction for lunch last week. Lovely food in a very modern setting. Feels more like a restaurant rather than a pub which may not be to everyone’s taste. Service was a bit hit and miss as no one explained if we need to order at the bar or at the table so we were left to work it out for ourselves

Outstanding food, friendly professional service.. could not speak highly enough of The Junction Hotel... Cannot wait to return...next time we would like to stay the night and enjoy a few of their extensive cocktail list. Definately 5 stars...

We had a booking for 10 for my wife’s birthday. The staff were excellent - Callum looked after us extremely well during our meal and a young lady (who has a bike - but her name escapes me) helped me during the earlier set up of the table. The meal was excellent (as always) and the bar service was spot on. Nothing was an issue including bringing our own birthday cake. We could have chosen anywhere in Newcastle …. We chose The Junction Hotel. Thank you The Junction - you never fail to impress. well done!

Well located for The Junction facilities and only a short drive from Newcastle city centre. Twin room was basic, but functional. Staff were friendly and helpful at check in and showed us to secure car parking. |We didn't go down to the bar/restaurant during our stay but the facilities were great and the menu extensive, we'd eaten so much already during the day we didn't need anything else that night.

I was sent to The Junction for a business trip. My employers had booked me a room for a 2 night stay at The Junction Hotel. My first reaction after hearing the arrangement they had made was "You've got to be kidding me! They booked a room for me at the top of a pub?" (thinking that The Junction Hotel would be another one of those filthy pubs with a bunch of drunkards). Colleagues who stayed at this hotel tried hard to convince me that The Junction Hotel is no ordinary pub - but I still had to see it to believe it (you wouldn't blame me for being cynical too if you saw most of the pubs within the area I live in). But to my surprise...it was a nice hotel! 1. My hotel room was clean. 2. Modern. 3. Complete with necessities (like most commercial hotels): * Towels and hand towels * Shampoo - conditioner - body wash gel * Complimentary bottles of mineral water (and chocolates!) inside the refrigerator * Hair dryer * Iron and ironing board * Lots of toilet paper and tissues (no need for the housekeeper to stack them up on a daily basis * Coat hangers 4. There is a bar and a nice restaurant right downstairs: there's no need to get out of the building just to get food and drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). Their menu was great and has quiet a variety of things to choose from. The meal prices (depending on what you order) can be a bit costly. But the quality of the food served at the hotel are well worth it. You just need to taste it and refer to the food presentation! 5. The restaurant and bar staff would be willing to bring food and drinks to your room (although you will have to order by the bar downstairs due to the fact that there are no telephones inside the rooms). But hey...it's a few walks down the stairs and you're there. Unless you are ridiculously lazy... 6. Less expensive than other hotels (I forgot the exact price but it was definitely less than $150 per night). 7. Oh! Did I mention how super comfortable the bed was? I definitely wouldn't bother paying to stay at the Crown Plaza Hotel (not far away) when I could get myself a hotel room that is equally decent - and that cost less. The guests - mostly locals - were also nice. I felt that I was able to just randomly start conversations with strangers.

Really love this place. The decor and atmosphere are very cool and relaxed. The staff are friendly and very welcoming. We stayed upstairs and the rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The food downstairs is delicious and there is a wide variety of dishes which would suit every taste. They have a variety of great beers on tap. Funky, fun & comfortable.

Great pub food. Really enjoyed my Cajun Barramundi . It was surprisingly moist. But the highlight was the wait staff. Attentive friendly but not intrusive to a sole diner here for business.
