Junee Licorice & Chocolate Factory

Lucy and Poppy in the shop were super polite and so helpful, warm and welcoming. They also carried themselves well and handled a very grumpy old man with immense grace and patience. Well done girls!! Kayleigh in the mill room cafe was also very accommodating and kind. The DF mango smoothie on cocobella water was spectacular! Refreshing and flavourful. Thank you for a great experience! 10/10

What a factory experience to discover with the family! This got to be one of the most amazing chocolate place in Australia. Hidden gem tucked away in the regional of NSW. A must visit for visitors on the area. The place is pack full of quality and delicious chocolate and licorice. It is ranges from gourmet selection of chocolate to sampler pack. It has chocolate making experience for the little one in a sterile designated chocolate room. Beyond chocolate, they have cafe to chill with to brunch offering and local trinket store. The place is wide and spacious and it even has function space too. It was definitely made a highlight from our trip and anyone visiting the place. Highly recommended

I’m so sad I didn’t discover this beautiful place earlier! The dining atmosphere is amazing, the staff are super sweet, and the food is absolutely delicious. The best part is that you can actually watch the chocolate and licorice being made, and then buy the beautifully packaged products right in the shop. Simply perfect! I love this place so much—every souvenir was so tempting to take home. Both the products and meals are very reasonably priced. Such a fantastic tourist spot! 👍

I really enjoyed visiting the factory - the tour (available for a small additional cost per person) is well worth it and includes plenty of samples of products to try! Ring ahead to find out what times the tours will be on if you’re interested. The cafe has both inside and outside seating with the latter being beautifully shaded by grape vines so it is quite a pleasant place to reside even in the warmer weather! The chocolate tastes divine and I purchased a bag of mixed seconds which I enjoyed munching on for the next few days. Thoroughly recommend for all ages.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had a lovely visit to the Junee Chocolate and Licorice Factory! The place has such a charming and welcoming ambience — perfect for enjoying their delicious treats. We tried the strawberry and chocolate milkshakes, and both were rich, creamy, and absolutely delightful. The gift shop downstairs is fantastic, offering a wide variety of chocolates and licorice to take home — perfect for souvenirs or gifts. I also loved that you can watch the factory in action through the viewing windows, which makes the visit even more interesting. Don’t miss the second-floor shop either — it’s full of kitchenware and Crocs shoes, a fun little bonus find! Overall, a great stop for families, chocolate lovers, and anyone passing through Junee.

This place is an icon. You have to visit, buy chocolate and liquorice, get a mocha (or whatever your preference), browse the gift shop, wander around and soak up the atmosphere and, consider dining here. There are other local specialty goodies too, such as honey, oils, whiskey, etc. This is a must do!

What an amazing spot. The best hot chocolate I have ever had and the chocolate and licorice shop is reasonably priced. Beautiful spaces to eat, a lovely, well maintained building. Can’t wait to come back.

A fun experience for the kids (and us adults too) to watch the licorice being made. A nice looking on site cafe as well as a shop with lots of licorice and chocolate choices. A walk around the gorgeous outdoor gardens with plenty of seating and photo opportunities.

Willie Wonka eat your heart out. The Junee Chocolate Factory lies within a hulking historical building with a distinctly cool vibe. The interior is outfitted with fairy lights and, as you wander through, admiring local wares and watching the chocolate makers at work, it's hard not to be transported to a magical chocolatey world. The sweet smell of chocolate and aniseed permeates throughout the entire hulking factory calling you to purchase it's delicious concoctions like a sweet sirens song. And that's just the start of the fun. The chocolate and liquorice themselves, though pricey as you would expect from gourmet artisan creators, are YUM! And I would know because, a day after my visit, I've eaten about a kilo of it . A sweet bargain us to purchase the $15 bag of not quite right sweets. We bought two and indulged in a delicious assortment of ugly. Definitely worth a fun if journeying with kids or (like myself) kids at heart.

This place is always busy especially on the weekend lunch time. Best option is to book a table well in advance. Food is basically good pub grub and reliability OK. Coffee is good and cakes are good quality although a bit limited. Expect a long wait when it is busy. Had a good breakfast recently and it was quick due to being earlier at around 9:30am on Sunday. A definite place for a drive/ride for coffee or a meal. Plenty to see and do at the factory too.

How cool is this place! We were recommended to stop in here for a light lunch whilst on route to Wagga Wagga. This place is a hidden gem and was glad we stopped in to check it out. There is nice out door seating and as soon as you walk in the doors, you get smacked in the face by the smell of liquorice (such a nice smell it was). The staff were very welcoming and allowed us to check out the museum they had, where you actually got to see the liquorice making process. There were taste testing samples and of course, you cannot leave without taking some home for yourself. A very pleasant visit and can't wait to go back one day!

Love this place as a coffee and snack venue I have not had a meal here as yet. Great drive or ride out from Wagga Wagga. It is very popular on weekends and sometimes hard to get a table. Service can be a hit and miss but always friendly. Coffee is good, snacks from coffee counter are good but can be a bit of a wait if they are busy. Yes go there you won't regret it

I was so impressed with the factory. The restaurant apparently is under new management and the food and quick service were great. the staff at the factory were friendly and helpful and I recommend taking the tour, very interesting.

We were very disappointed. It took almost 2 hours to order and get 2 chicken wraps. 10 minutes later our other 2 orders still hadn't arrived so we shared the wraps and got our money back for the other two. At that point we'd lost all interest in looking in the factory.
