Jungle Hut

Our family, consisting of seven members, spent two days and two nights at Jungle Hut; decidedly, it was one of the best holiday times we spent. The property nestles in the foothills of the Nilgiris, which stand imposingly almost within hand's reach. A large number of deer can be seen on the property --- living in perfect harmony with its inhabitants. Occasionally, wild boar flit across open spaces in small groups. At night, animal noises keep reminding you continually that you are in nature's lap. |And to get hot water 24X7 in the middle of a jungle........total bliss!|The food is fabulous. Without being ostentatious, rich, oily and overspiced, it is delicious and homely. Three chefs work around the clock to ensure that every guest's needs are met to her satisfaction. A chance remark during dinner on our first day was overheard by one of the staff and lo and behold! the next day we had our favourite dish --- customised to our taste --- served on our table. |A Nature Walk with Rajesh was a great expereince --- educative and entertaining.|But the crowning glory is the wonderful, dedicated staff who apply themselves industriously to look after the guests caringly, lovingly, and diligently. Tracy, Aniket and Gibran are names of persons we interacted with and enjoyed the healthy vibes from.|We have decided we are going back again when practicable!

Any amount of praise you have for this place, the food, the location, the staff is going to always fall short. I’m overwhelmed by how amazing my stay was. The location is picture perfect, even better than what I had seen or imagined. The rooms, although simple and modest were still very comfortable and nice. The staff is so kind, soft spoken and lovely. The food and all meals here were so so memorable. I’ll be spreading the word like a maniac about my experience. Definitely coming back again. The owners have done a fabulous job of maintaining the property and the whole experience was so thoughtful. One of the best experiences of my life.

Jungle hut is a peaceful property located at the edge of the Nilgiris hills. It was a memorable holiday spent with my partner and our child. We all appreciate wildlife and there was plenty of bird life to see on our trip. The food on the property was good and we felt well taken care of.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine care that made us feel at home instantly. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort – every request was handled promptly and with so much kindness. Their attention to detail, personalized service, and willingness to help with anything we needed truly set them apart. You can sense that they love what they do, and it reflects in the way they interact with guests. A special mention to the way they treat families and kids – patient, friendly, and always ready to help, which made our stay so relaxed and enjoyable. If you’re looking for a perfect mix of nature, comfort, and heartfelt service, Jungle Hut Resort is the place to be. We left with beautiful memories and a deep appreciation for the wonderful team who made our stay so memorable. Highly recommended!

Our stay in the Deluxe Tent was fantastic for our family of four. The tent was incredibly spacious, easily accommodating us with its two queen beds. The location is a huge plus, being so close to the buffer area of Mudumalai Tiger Reserve. We loved seeing deer packs and wild boar right outside our room – a real treat! The staff also mentioned frequent elephant sightings nearby, adding to the thrill. The food was good, though I felt it leaned more towards standard city hotel preparations rather than offering a strong native culinary touch, which could enhance the experience. A special and heartfelt mention must go to the staff for their outstanding care and vigilance. After breakfast one morning, we decided to take a short walk down a village path next to the property. Within about 500 meters, a staff member came running all the way to escort us back, warning us that the path was dangerous as an elephant had tragically killed someone in that very area just a month prior. Their quick thinking and dedication to our safety were truly commendable and deeply appreciated. The pool was quite small and could benefit from being a bit larger. Also, extending the pool usage timings from 9 AM - 6 PM to 7 AM - 6 PM would be very helpful, especially for guests who need to check out early in the morning and would appreciate a quick swim. Overall, a highly recommended experience, especially for wildlife enthusiasts and those who value attentive service

One of our best holidays! |This place truly exceeded expectations. |The drive was very pleasant through bandipur and mudhumalai forest. We were greeted by amazing views of the hills covered in mist as we entered the property.|Spacious, very clean, and well equipped rooms and bathrooms offering an excellent view of the jungle beyond. We had spotted deer, wild boars, langurs and other wildlife near our room for company. It was a true jungle experience!|The bird life here is simply amazing, we couldn't keep a count of the variety we spotted here, it is a nature lover's and a bird watcher's delight.|The food is simple, local and very tasty with ample options to choose from, you wont be disappointed. I strongly recommend trying their in house pickles and jams, they are really good.|The staff are terrific, very helpful and always smiling. A shout out to Neha, Shruthi and Aniketh for the smooth reservation process, they were very accommodating. Thank you!|Jungle Hut ticks all the boxes, will definitely go back!

Why JH? Because:- Beautiful place to spend a peaceful vacation. Delicious food with multiple choices/ options. For a buffet system they also customised some of the food items for people who are allergic (another reason for choosing them- personalized care). Extremely good and passionate customer service (including the owner). All the staff members are on their toes with great passion for customer service. They will ask or come to our door to check if all guests have eaten food if we are not seen in dinner ( super). 24-hours petroling assures security at it's best. Good Wi-Fi connection all the times. Birds, boars, deers, monkeys and other small animals are like residents of the resort. We will visit again. Thank you team. Our stay at Jungle Hut Resort in Masinagudi was a truly refreshing and immersive experience. Nestled in the heart of the forest, the resort offers a perfect blend of comfort and nature. The huts are clean, well-maintained, and offer a rustic charm that enhances the jungle experience without compromising on basic amenities. We woke up to the sound of birds and occasionally spotted deer and peacocks right outside our cottage. The resort staff was extremely courteous and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. The food was homely, fresh, and delicious. Overall, it’s a wonderful getaway for anyone looking to unwind in nature, away from the city buzz. Highly recommended for nature lovers, families, or couples looking for a peaceful retreat in the wild.
