The 6 Best Hostels in Tel Aviv (Updated 2025)

"As a fun, social party hostel, Jungle Jaffa is the cheapest option in the city and comes with lots of free perks like coffee and tea all day plus a daily vegan dinner (breakfast available for a small fee) and a fully equipped kitchen. I love that they organize tons of events — comedy nights, karaoke, etc. — so it’s easy to meet people, though there’s an 18–45 age limit and the beds are basic bunks with no curtains and average mattresses, so expect loud, late nights rather than a quiet sleep-focused stay." - Matthew Kepnes

In terms of appearance, the place itself is… fine, if you’re on a tight budget, but the vibe is very relaxed and welcoming. The vibe is pretty good. It is also placed at an absolutely wonderful location, within (relative) walking distance from the Old City of Jaffa, which I really liked. I have to strongly commend the staff there, who, aside from being very friendly and chill, are also committed to the safety of their guests. Another guest there made me feel extremely unsafe, and they took my complaint very seriously and immediately sprang to action and kicked him out. I am very grateful, and should I need accommodation in the area again, I will likely go back.

I like the place. A lot. I never stayed at a hostel, was worried it would uncomfortable or be loud or crusty. This place is comfortable and clean and an incredible atmosphere to relax, cook, sleep, and socialize when you’re not exploring Israel. 10/10.

Best hostel in Tel Aviv! Really great vibes, everyone is very kind and friendly. The hostel is kept very clean and has a nice spacious kitchen. Loved all the fun events like Eurovision and bbq’s on the rooftop. 20 minutes walk from the nearest beach too!

This was my first time in a hostel. I enjoyed it a lot. Everyone treats you like family and I heard stories from everyone this is one of the cleanest ever and they have really cool events too.

I had a great time staying at Jungle Jaffa. The common room, Kitchen and rooms look amazing. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The location of the hostel is incredible 10 min walk from the beach and from old Jaffa. I strongly recommend staying here. I will come back soon

Really, this was the best place in whole tel aviv! I stayed in different hostels around the city and in Israel, and I reaaaally recommend it. So easy to make friends, you feel at home and the place gives you the structure you need with comfy beds, clean toilets and eqquiped kitchen. Also a good lobby and roof to work and find your peace in the moments you want to be more quiet. The vibes are great, you feel at home but with cool friends!

A place not suitable for living, there are many insects and diseases, and there is nothing clean. I do not recommend visiting.
