We stayed in the jungle cottage. What we really liked about this place is the way it is truly connected to nature. We wanted to experience the monsoon here and it was amazing to sit out and listen to the insects trilling along with the sound of the rains. The wildlife wanders close, so this is a quiet retreat, no loud music, partying etc. That makes this place extremely peaceful. The food was simple, tasty and wholesome. We opted for all meals and we ate really well.. :) The hospitality was also very good. The hosts were kind and courteous. They made sure to check in with us for everything. Served coffee, tea and snacks to the room, so we could spend that precious time gazing at the beautiful view of the Bhramagiri too. The room was cozy and comfortable, but I would add it could have a bit more storage space and a better dressing area. The restrooms could also use a bit of a upgrade and better maintenance. Apart from that, we had a great trip. :)

My husband and I visited Jungle Retreat in January, and without a doubt, it was the best trip we've ever had. We stayed in the treehouse, and waking up amidst the raw, untouched beauty of nature was absolutely surreal. The forest was alive around us. Peaceful, wild, and humbling. ||The food was Incredible. Every meal was delicious, comforting, and made with such care. ||One of the highlights was meeting Ani before we left — hearing his stories left us with goosebumps. His deep love and respect for the wild is so contagious. Just sitting and listening to him felt amazing! ||Our wildlife sightings were great too — but what really stood out was waiting and observing, not chasing. Being in the animals’ world, on their terms — that’s what Jungle Retreat is all about. It's the jungle in its purest, most honest form.||The guided walks were amazing, and everything about the place — the people, the atmosphere, the passion — was just perfect. Manu and the entire team were so warm and kind. Everyone there lives and breathes wildlife, and there’s so much to learn from each of them.||As they describe, this isn’t a luxury resort but the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the experience is richer than anything a five-star hotel could ever offer. If you love nature, peace, and the raw energy of the forest, this is a must-visit. We’re already waiting to plan our next trip.

Must stay in Wayanad! We spend 3 nights at the Jungle Retreat and it did not disappoint! It is a hidden gem for nature lovers. Waking up to the sounds of the forest and spotting deer, elephants, wild boars right from our cottage was a surreal experience. You really can’t beat it! The staff were warm, knowledgeable, and made us feel right at home with their hospitality and let me tell you the FOOD! Absolutely delicious home-cooked meals, plentiful where we never hungry and always craving more! The stay was incredibly peaceful—truly a rare escape into the wild. One recommendation was if the rooms could have a kettle and a fridge it would be very handy! Highly recommended if you're looking to disconnect and reconnect with nature. Don't think twice!!

The location is simply amazing if you are a nature lover...not so much if you have come here for a fun outing. The reason is simple...the property is right in the wilderness with a meadow and a water hole right before it and the jungle beyond . || So incredible opportunities to see wildlife just sitting in your balcony. Any noise would only disturb the wildlife hence so loud talking, playing of music etc ||If you want a pure wildlife experience this is hard to beat as a stay option.||As for the food it was very good with a variety of cuisines on offer...the overall service was also good.

Our stay at Jungle Retreat was pure magic. Waking up to breathtaking views from our room, completely enveloped by the serene forest… it’s a feeling I’ll carry with me forever. The wildlife felt thrillingly close—just steps beyond our door, nature’s wonders unfolded before us. And the food? Delicious, authentically local cuisine that made every bite part of the adventure. But someone you shouldn't miss is Manu, the manager. His warmth, attention to detail, and profound love for the jungle transformed our trip. Watch closely when he speaks about the forest—you’ll see his eyes twinkle with passion. For nature lovers seeking peace, wonder, and a truly authentic escape? This is your place. We’re already planning our return.

Nice place but the staff were a bit annoying trying to upsell you on the safari trips and nature walks. You tell them once that you are just chilling out, but they keep telling you to take the trips and that you are missing out, they even make you feel guilty the next day that they had so many wild life sightings the night before and we missed all of them. Otherwise, good cozy property and good food. Sort of recommend it.

Our stay at Jungle Retreat was nothing short of magical. Waking up to the breathtaking morning views from our room, surrounded by the serene forest, was an experience we’ll always cherish. On our nature walk, we were lucky enough to spot elephants, deer, and wild boars — truly a once-in-a-lifetime moment! The food served was delicious and authentically local, adding to the charm of the stay. A special mention to Mr. Manu, the manager, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. His warm hospitality and deep knowledge of the forest made our trip even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for nature lovers looking for a peaceful and authentic retreat!

The stay was memorable. Amazing hospitality and the whole experience left us feeling very relaxed. They served us tasty and nourishing food. It was like having food at home, not too oily and it did not leave you feeling heavy like restaurant food. ||The overall experience was great. We'll definitely come again.
