"Bohemian Department Store in Little Five Points For the bohemian population of Atlanta 's Little FIve Points neighborhood, Junkman's Daughter is the place to buy clothing, gifts and accessories for the home. In 1982, before the neighborhood looks like it does today, local Pam Majors, the daughter of a junkman, opened a store full of her favorite bizarre tchotchkes. It soon became a favorite for visiting and local celebrities and musicians."

This is such a nice local place to go to when looking for vintage stuff. They also have a large variety of other things that are pretty cool! It’s definitely a really nice place to check out, if you’re looking for interesting things.

I heard about it from Reddit and stopped onto Moreland while on a little mini-vacation to Atlanta with ny thrift-loving kid. He was enamored with the street, the myriad of shops, but Junkman's was the highlight. Absolutely stellar, super reasonable prices. We spent about $100 and walked away with 2 pants and one shirt. I loved ny XXL button up and he can't wait to get home and show his friends with hand woven shorts that look like a rennaissance painting. I even found a little Gary The Snail figure for his SpongeBob collection. The place is great! Would go again in a heartbeat!

The store has everything you will need. You never know what you will find and I love the different types of styles. We will be back soon.

Top 3 vintage stores ever. It was once our destination in high school that we ditched school to visit and now I get to take my 15 year old daughter here when we visit Atlanta. To see Atlanta by bike, visit our guide at Bikabout.

this has been my favorite place in Atlanta since I was a kid. the vibes are great, the merchandise always changes around which makes you want to come back again and again, and the employees are kind and have great style. I hope it stays here forever. and the parking is free!

Google
Such a cool store! Vintage, clothing, boots, figurines, incense, purses, cards, crystals, wigs, plants. Never been in a store like that. It’s also large.

Absolutely loved this store! A wide variety. We spent a few hours just shopping around Junkman's Daughter during our trip to Atlanta. My family if neurodivergents ages 16-48 all loved this store.

EDIT: I messaged them on FB and worked with them to receive a refund, but also being able to keep the shorts bc I live an hour away and wouldn’t return within the return policy window. They said they’ll look into the matter :). Just make sure anything you buy has a brand tag & is trackable. So, here’s the thing. I used to love shopping here, typically they have cute stuff. The other day I bought a pair of bloomers from Junkmans daughter, when I get home I notice it doesn’t have a tag, like the tag was CUT OFF. so I reverse google search the bloomers, and they’re being sold on shien for $15, when I believe I paid almost 40 for them? ABSOLUTELY not. Disgusting business practice. So I’m sure they buy PLENTY of their clothing from Shien and resell for at least x2 the price. Cutting off the tag bc they KNOW buying and reselling from shien is unethical, buying their clothing from SWEATSHOPS!! This place has gone HORRIBLY downhill, as it seems they racially profile people who walk into their store, & resell cheap clothing. Pretending like they support local businesses and artists, when they’re reselling shine clothing.

Yelp
Love this shop in Little Five Points. There is so much this store has to offer. From clothing, art, etc. Junkman's Daughter has some of the best gifts for any type of get together. The crowd that comes in here is a mixture of goths to the everyday Joe. There is clearly something for everyone. Highly recommend if you are looking for birthday gifts or even bachelorette/bachelor gifts.

Yelp
This store has a little bit of everything from clothes, toys, novelties and everything in between. My friends and I had a good time looking at all the trinkets. I would highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

Yelp
Really cool selection of statement piece fashion!! Lots of bobs and bits and trinkets too! Enjoyed looking around and found lots of cool items that I would normally need to go online for! People were fairly nice too. Only real shortcoming is that a lot of the clothing was cheaply made items that I have seen on shein, so that was kind of a bummer. Especially since the prices were a lot higher than what you'd find online. Also makes me question the ethicality of the clothing. Additionally, most of the clothing only goes up to size L. There is a pretty good plus size selection, but it's of different items -- which further proves the shein-theory. I had read a few old reviews before we came here, so going in I was expecting quality material and unique pieces. The uniqueness was there, but the material of everything I looked at felt so cheap and slick. Even the sweaters weren't fully knit, as the insides were lined with a slick/cheap feeling material. HOWEVER!!! I would still recommend stopping by!! Still such a fun stop!! Weird lil trinkets are always worth it!!! Plus the parking is pretty good and there's lot attendants.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place. The service was impressive- this one woman working in there was very subtlety accommodating and even brought me a basket. They have such a wide selection of so many items - from clothing to incense to tapestries. You could be in there for at least an hour perusing! The value and quality of their products is very evident. You don't find value like this just anywhere. I will be back for sure. Check it out!

Yelp
This place is always a slice of heaven to me. It has literally EVERYTHING you can think of! I love the novelties they have but also the clothes and cosplay items. In fact, there so much unique items in here that you literally would have to scrape the bottom of the barrel of the internet to find some of these things. Like I found a pirate hat and it was one of its kind. Was definitely buying of course! It reminds me of a cross between a metaphysical ship with Spencer's and a thrift shop! I believe everything here is priced appropriately and I always finds something super cool to take back home. I'd go broke shopping here for sure lol!!

Yelp
Junkman's daughter was always a destination when I frequented Atlanta in the 90s. I enjoyed their used/vintage clothing section in particular and scored a major find! It was a 100% leather [sorry vegan folks] biker jacket I sported for years and it was a great price! I'm not sure which ex ended up with that jacket but I certainly wish it were still in my closet! Thanks Junkman's Daughter for the excellent, enduring product at a fabulous price!

Yelp
I've been to Little 5 Points on previous visits to Atlanta but somehow have never come to Junkman's Daughter. So glad I came in! What an absolutely cool store! It's enormous with so much to offer. A variety of things from clothing, jewelry, gifts, plants, patches, pins, shoes, Knick knacks, costumes and so much more. You can spend a long time here exploring all the goodies. The decor is cool and eclectic. The staff was nice in all my interactions with them. You can find some good deals and also some pricy items but you're guaranteed to get something unique!
google avatar

Yelp
Interesting spot for those with an eclectic style. Not your typical shopping store. More of a trinkets spot with an emo comic book nerd vibe. Was cool to step in and see what they had. I liked the books section. Had some nice cook books. Besides that, the items here are outfield which might be exactly what you want! I was visiting ATL and stopped by here bc I saw it listed as something to check out in the city. Ehh I wouldn't say it is, not much to see, just a store.
google avatar

Yelp
Prices have gone waaaay up! It's ridiculous! I saw a bikini from Shein priced for $32. Avoid!!
google avatar

Yelp
Pretty cool spot off the grid and full of fun surprises to find! If you're a collector of unique gifts and crafts, definitely get a peek at all they have to offer! The prices seem reasonable for the area and they have an awesome array of items for any tastes

Yelp
This store is awesome. It has cool stuff. The coolest grunge and hippie things. However, the staff sucks. They're not friendly . I guess it's the aesthetic , but for the price of the items I expect for you to roll out the red carpet. Then they watch you so much, it's so obvious. A lady came up to me and asked if I need help. She helped me go through the Tripp NYC skirts( brought my first one today) yayyy!! I had items in my hand, and she asked did I mind if she placed them up front. They were suspicious of me. I spent $650 , and they barely said , "thank you". They are not fond of other races. They went through another black lady's belongings last time I was there. I shop there every quarter , and the vibe is sh!tty. You just have to ignore the workers' attitudes. Again, very cool and unique items. Just vibe to yourself , and smile at all the cool stuff.

Yelp
There is nothing but to love all the novelty items that this store has to offer. From socks to pet rocks that have just about everything that you never thought you wanted until you get there. Nostalgic pieces are just about on every shelf. I think this is the perfect place to find things for your home bar, or for special birthday parties or events. This is a place where you would need about 200.00 to get all the things that signify something about your life as a youth or adult, they have it all here under one roof. There is a pole parking in front and on the side of the building. It's the perfect place to bring guest who are traveling from out of town and to grab some keepsakes from your local ATAlien JMD - A little pricey from what it was about 5 years ago.... But some of the items may be a once in a while deal so judge accordingly

Yelp
Wasn't expecting much based on the exterior and neighborhood but this shop was really cool and had a lot of fun stuff. I especially enjoyed their book selection, but they also have lots of clothes, wigs, international candy, home decor, toys, and games, etc.
google avatar

E J.

Yelp
They have gone down. It used to an elite and eclectic and exclusive spot. However, most of what is in there is exclusive to rock and roll and goth. A prime example is looking for anything MJ related during the Halloween season. I can pretty much name the black artists they feature in their tee collection - DMX & Aaliyah with a sprinkle of Oukast. When you know better you do better. There are tons of others in various eras including MJ, Prince, Whitney, and James Brown all of whom could literally have their own soul section, but ARE NOT FEATURED. I'm just saying after decades, step it up. Also the staff is whack. They definitely will treat you like trash and definitely have an air that you're a thief or are beneath them. It's as if they are trained to be aggressive but it's riddled with a passive and demeaning undertone.
google avatar

Taina J.

Yelp
This was such a cool place to visit! There are so many novelty items that will make you laugh and/or think, so many enticing games to choose from, and I was hooked on the book selections. Definitely a place worth checking out since there is something for everyone!
google avatar

Sarita M.

Yelp
This place is an absolute HOOT!! If you want some (irreverent) window shopping fun, come check out the gems in this place. I was visiting my little sister and she said we HAD to come here and I'm so glad we did. I was chuckling within 5 mins. Lotsa lotsa costumes, this place must have been popping during Halloween..and wigs galore. But there's also a great selection of clothing and accessories (fairly reasonably priced too) for the fashionistas Among us. There's also something for the cannabis enthusiast, the feminist (*raises hand*) the dominatrix, the sweet tooth and the sock collector. Literally something for everyone (as long as you don't mind the foul language and crass humour in some of the merchandise). If you're uncomfortable with having to check your backpack or large bag at the door, might want to leave it home.
google avatar

Nicole I.

Yelp
Such a cool place to visit and they have something for everyone. I bought some wooden big foot earrings and have received so many compliments for them. I would definitely add this to your list of places to visit.

Yelp
I love this place, definitely very niche, but better quality than some of the other shops in Little Five Points.

Yelp
I'm a longtime fan of Junkman's Daughter - it's been one of my favorite shops to browse since I was a kid! However, the last couple of times I've visited, I decided to try on a few clothing items as the selection is really cute and eclectic and I haven't taken the time to try on any of their clothes in the past. What I have found is that the clothing selection is highly un-inclusive, which was a massive disappointment as I loved the variety of styles they carry. For reference, I wear sizes L/12 - I tried on a variety of items and barely any of the pieces fit my body. Some items were so small I had to double check the tags to ensure I actually grabbed a size large instead of a small. Knowing some stores just tend to run small, I checked out the plus-sized section. Unfortunately, the selection was very sparse and the styles aren't comparable to the rest of the clothes in the store. Currently their stock is catering towards a very specific body type - I love Junkman's Daughter but would like to see them update their clothing selections to be more inclusive for larger bodies. Note - I didn't browse the section with more masculine clothing so not sure if the comments above also apply to other clothing sections in the store.

Yelp
A for effort for design and appearance. Unfortunately as often occurs with similar shops; $$$$ Expensive, pricey Less than great quality (thick) cotton T-shirt's (all over 20$). Lot more browsing than shopping going on...
google avatar

Meri L.

Yelp
A very interesting store that I always stop in when I'm visiting Atlanta. A wide variety of so many different items. Punk and alternative is how I would describe the common theme of items. Music posters of many different artists are available as well. Interesting clothing attire that I've never seen anywhere but here. So many items that amaze me. Variety for everyone. Except boring people. Boring people should stay away. Far away. I always want to buy so many things...but it wouldn't fit in my suitcase back to NY. Some prices are a little high, but you can't argue with quality. Every time I've been here workers have always greeted me and asked me if I needed help with anything.
google avatar

Kelly C.

Yelp
Very cool store with plenty of variety and interesting place to shop around if you are looking for something for your friend. Prices are on the high side, a dress for $42 or a T-shirt for $22, so you'll have to go in with a heavy wallet. It's not entirely a vintage store, more like a store with an interesting collection of items. Definitely an unique store, leaning towards almost eccentric.

Evan S.

Yelp
Closed on Halloween. What a joke. While sitting outside I've counted at least 15 people go up to the door and try and get in.
google avatar

Meanole M.

Yelp
Awesome store in Little 5 Points! I'm not a big shopper but I enjoyed looking at all the stuff in this store. My wife and daughter bought some really cool clothes. I bought a couple of trinkets for my son. If you like vintage this store is a can't miss, but they also offer a variety of clothing, shoes....etc. If you like music themed items, go to this store. I spent a long time just looking through the posters and art in the store. Store was very clean and well organized. Staff was helpful and friendly. I will definitely go back just to look around, but if you like clothes, jewelry and shoes you will really enjoy this place. I only wish I'd taken some pictures.

Yelp
What a change this place has gone through in the years I've been away! Love it! So much to enjoy in this place. This is what shopping is all about. Nothing boring in here. Kitchen towels that saw what's on your mind. Products with icons from the past. Wonderful treasures you can only find on a trip to the Junkman's Daughter! If you are ever in Atlanta, you must drop in. The ladies here are so nice! I asked if she could find some boxed for my two bunny mugs. Seconds later, they were ready and waiting for me at the register. This is absolutely my favorite store in all of Atlanta!

Yelp
If you really want to piss off your conservative Grandma bring her here. It's the best weed, occult, liberal hippy store in Atlanta. I've been coming here for 20+ yrs and now I'm a proud satanist- coincidence??? I think not.
google avatar

Jahnay C.

Yelp
This is by far my favorite place to go! They have so many cool things here! David rose as Mary candles, incense sticks and holder! There are so many trinkets it's hard not to buy every little thing here
google avatar

Yelp
Always a great time!!! Love this place!! Treasures abound throughout... I would tell everyone to visit
google avatar

Chelsea A.

Yelp
Definitely a different kind of clothing store. Thrift/vintage/costume/alt in a sense. I thought it was a thrift store but it's wayyyyyyyyyy to expensive to be considered a thrift store! I was shocked at the prices of the clothing there. I did end up buying a 2pac shirt for $16, but there were other items i didn't mind buying but thought that they were 100 percent overpriced.
google avatar

Mary L.

Yelp
I hope Danielle B sees this as my issue with this junk shop is the fact you sell such items THAT SAY MARIJUANA AND CANNABIS. Do not be rude to me in yoir shop when you're carrying items that are bound to provoke a question or use of the word. I didn't walk in and inquire anout marijuana for no reason. Absolutely absurd. Anyone interested in a fantastic CBD store shop as well as great items saying weed, and a kick ass kind associate to chat with, go around the corner as there's an apparently legal head and cbd shop. (No THC. They'll kindly explain the differences. Gave me hope in Georgia!)

Yelp
Awesome customer service.Come here if you want something cool.Great selection of vintage clothing.

Yelp
Junkman's Daughter has been a beloved staple in Little Five Points for many years. They have an eclectic and extensive selection of fun, unusual, and often vintage second-hand items. As an actor & LARPer, this place is indispensable in my arsenal when looking for costume pieces, fun props, or even just eclectic or vintage clothing or household things for my own personal use at home. The staff are usually very helpful, and strike a good blend between being available but unobtrusively not up in your face while you are browsing. I am thrilled and comforted to know that the shop is complying with professional scientific recommendations with regard to quarantine procedures.

Yelp
So the first time I ever set foot in junkmans daughter I was 16 and at the height of my alternative look. This was back in 1999. Yeah I've totally just dated myself. When I returned last week it was like time had stood still in all the best ways. It's like that best friend from high school that still looks the same (No grey hairs, no wrinkles) and you just get jealous. I went for a pair of heels because I forgot to bring mine with me. We showed up 15 minutes to closing and I ran upstairs to find out that the shoe department closes down before the rest of the store. I ask nicely if I could have 5 minutes. I knew what I wanted and it was just a matter of sizes. She graciously gave me the time. She also gave me a chance to grab a pair of boots for my daughter. I was in and out in the 5 minutes I promised. As I was going down the stairs I saw the cutest long black skirt and snatched that up headed towards the register (also for my daughter). I really wish I had had more time to look around and reminisce, however I already kept them over their normal time. This is a most go to if you are alternative and in Atlanta. I hope one day to go back and get something for my grandson or granddaughter. Kinda like a family tradition. So far they have clothed 2 generations of my family. I really hope for more. They are timeless in all the best ways.

Yelp
Junkman's Daughter is a large, locally owned, independent retailer in Little Five Points that sells alternative fashion, costumes and wigs, gag gifts including cards, books, and t-shirts, tobacco products, and other random, assorted knickknacks. The store is aptly named because, well, it does seem like it's stocked with nothing but a bunch of junk. It's been around for over 30 years and is a neighborhood icon. I've been to Junkman's Daughter multiple times over the years as it's usually one of the more interesting stores to check out while walking around L5P. It's one of those novelty gift stores similar to the Spencer's gift stores at the shopping mall back in the day. There are a lot of unique, crude, funny, odd, and/or adult-themed gifts and items. One random example I saw recently was a button-up shirt with a logo for a made-up XXX production company and a name tag that said "Talent Scout." If you like to wear spikes, this is the place to shop. They stock many different articles of clothing, shoes, and accessories with spikes on them -- spiked bracelets, spiked necklaces, spiked boots, spiked corsets, spike ball caps, etc. There's a variety of goth, hipster, and alternative wear. To get to the shoe department, you have to walk up a flight of stairs inside a giant red, high-heeled shoe. They have enormously high platform boots that remind me of the pairs the girls in the Cruxshadows, who show up to Dragon*Con every year, wear. There are dressing rooms if you want to try stuff on. There are geeky pop culture items to be found too. I saw a long-sleeve, stretchy/conforming shirt that looks like a furry brown werewolf wearing a basketball jersey. This is a direct reference to Michael J. Fox's character in the 1985 movie Teen Wolf. They have cartoon, comic book, and video game drinkware such as Adventure Time and Batman beer glasses, Street Fighter IV thermoses, and Pac-Man cup sets. The tobacco products are located in the back, in a separate area. Sometimes, I've been carded before I could enter. Other times, not. They have a fascinating collection of pipes, hookahs, and other related items. There's a funny collection of pipes that are animal-themed. For example, they have a Hello Kitty pipe, Angry Birds pipe, and panda bear pipe. Some of the hookahs are massive (and expensive). I can't help but picture James Franco and Seth Rogen smoking them. A great thing about Junkman's Daughter is free parking. That can be hard to find in L5P. However, parking in the Junkman's Daughter lot is not free if you plan to leave the property. There are parking attendants on-hand monitoring the lot and they will charge you $5 if you leave your car in the lot and go elsewhere.

Yelp
Stuff. Things. Doodads. Gizmos. Thingamajigs. I could go on and on. And on and on. After dinner at The Vortex, I wandered into the Junkman's Daughter to walk off some of the adult beverages I partook in - and I ended up spending close to an hour looking around. Shelf after shelf. Fixture after fixture. Display case after display case. Every where - stuff. Some cool. Some not so much. Some weird. Some junk. Just have to remember, that - one's man junk is another man's treasure.
google avatar

Joshua M.

Yelp
Literally the rudest people I've ever had the displeasure of experiencing. Attendants were blatantly disrespectful and combative. Wouldn't go here if you paid me.
google avatar

Nicholas M.

Yelp
I have seen a handful of reviews stating how the "covid lecture" that you receive before entering is intense, but I want to say how much appreciate how serious their precautions are and I do not fault them at all for being stern! I'm sure they have so many annoying people that they have to deal with, so I understand the need to be direct!!

Teresa F.

Yelp
I had an out of town guest that I wanted to take to the store. We had masks completely covering our faces, but when we wanted to go in, we were given a stern lecture about how if the mask slipped down, we would be asked to leave, if we did this, then we would get in trouble, yada yada yada. We are very safe and take COVID seriously so we would never dream of taking off our masks, which made the hatefulness of the man all the more intimidating. I mean he was threatening. We went in for one second and turned right back around and left. I don't need to be spoken to as if I were a kid. If we broke their rules, then ask us to leave, but until we do, put a lid on it, especially if you show up wearing a mask. I will NEVER go to this store again. You training your employees to be mean.
google avatar

Makaila S.

Yelp
So many amazing pieces here. I was in heaven from the second I walked in. There's a lot of variety as well. The employees are very warm and welcoming too.

Yelp
I thoroughly enjoyed exploring this shop!!! I have to return without my 3 year old because everything amazed her as it did me however, I know what NOT to touch! She's still learning!!! Very unique and cool items that you won't find at any other place. Some like to compare to Hot Topic, to me it's much better! Hipster + Weirdo gear = Fantabulous!!!
google avatar

Juan D.

Yelp
Okay this is a cool looking store. They have some cool stuff but a lot of it is overpriced and tbh you could get stuff just as good at Spencer's but whatever. Now what really grinds my gears is this situation. I went with my girlfriend and she wanted to try on these little shorts like made of a slick spandex material. She is lowkey thicc so she can't just buy things without trying them on. Well she took them in the dressing room but the sensor had stapled right through them it so you couldn't try them on. I went to see and they are all like that. I asked if there was any way she could try them on and they said you aren't allowed to try them on because people "stretch them out" BULLSHIT. I mean ok if you're gonna be like that at least have a real return policy. They were overpriced anyway though so it's not a big deal but I think its a valid complaint.

Yelp
Junkman's Daughter: groovy. Or at least that's what we might have called it ages ago. It's a bit less groovy than when I first walked through their doors some twenty years ago. Less stuff, less cool stuff. But it's still a cool place to browse, particularly if you're looking for an off-beat item or a costume accessory. Or you need a new bong. I stopped today because a friend wanted to do a postcard exchange and I figured this would be a good place to find an unusual card (I was right). I'm a fan because Little Five Points needs to stay edgy and Junkman's Daughter epitomizes the edginess of L5P. Check it out.

Yelp
This is such a fun little boutique shop. Lots of interesting and fun items and clothes. Reasonably priced and in a fun decorated building. My favorite shop in Little Five Point.

Yelp
I'm a long-time customer as I live in O4W. I love this store, if for no other reason than the fact that I've discovered a few artists to follow through their selection, now I have several Naoshi sand art prints in my home and it's delightful. You never know what you'll find. Today I visited and got a matching kitchsy cat mug to a previous one purchased here. I also bought some fantastic gothic platform boots for stomping out racism and the patriarchy. The staff is always helpful and friendly. Next time I'll buy some new BLM gear or something witchy to celebrate and support my local shops, absolutely I mean it as a slap in the face to all the rude folks who think it's cool to try to drag our neighborhoods and stores down with poor reviews. :) Those folks should go back to Old Navy and and Bed Bath & Beyond where they belong. The rest of us will keep shopping at Junkman's because we're not boring to death.
google avatar

Ashley S.

Yelp
I just love this place. You can call it a thrift store if you want but I call it PARADISE. You can find almost anywhere here with great prices and always friendly service. I went during COVID and they were very safe. Masks were worn and they were counting people as they entered and exited. I LOVE JUNKMANS DAUGHTER!

Gyamfua G.

Yelp
This place is eclectic. It is a large store full of fun finds ranging from cute clothing with unique fun statements to socks, posters and weird wild shoes. The store is a bit expensive, but it is located in a very popular part of town. I would advise vistors to first taken in the wonderful graffiti paintings on the outside of the store/strip mall before taking in the store itself. This store is fun for young and old alike.

Yelp
Always been a long time favorite place to shop. You will find amazing vintage clothing, nick nacks, trinkets and stuff you don't need but just gotta have it once you see it. I realy don't there is even another place like it. Even if you just wanna window shop you can pretty much count on going home with something from this store.v
