21 Best Bars in Tokyo, from Hotel Lounges to a Tequila Speakeasy | Condé Nast Traveler

"Yata is a warmly glowing oasis floating 10 floors above the neon-lit frenzy of Shinjuku’s east side. It’s standing-room-only at this cozy sake specialist, so park yourself at one of the hexagonal wooden tables or sidle up to the counter, which curves around the room and overlooks the Blade Runner -esque scene below. The extensive sake menu changes daily, and we recommend the tasting flight, which allows you to try a variety of brews." - Melinda Joe

A really wonderful and stylish sake bar! Even though it’s located in the middle of Shibuya, it wasn’t crowded on a Friday night. We did the 45min tasting course, and then extended for another 30min. It was so much fun chatting with the friendly and knowledgeable staff and all the other guests. Totally recommended for everyone who wants to learn more about sake!

Amazing bar - we had such a fun evening doing the all you can drink saké. Highly recommend if you want to try lots of different flavours as the staff were super helpful.

Small, but unique sake bar in Shibuya. Our server was very attentive, and kept the glasses full. We chose the all you can drink option which allowed us to try multiple sakes for a reasonable price. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a relaxed, hip vibe and a wide variety of sake.

Amazing find!! We were randomly looking up bars in Shibuya and found this little gem in the heart of it. It’s an intimate sake bar with lots of sake to choose from. We got the tasting menu- basically all-you-can-drink within a set amount of time (you can choose between 45 or 75 mins/ its 2000/ 3000 yen respectively). Ordering was easy, we told the staff the flavour profile we wanted and they would recommend a drink. Everything was really good! Would recommend.

Price wise is undoubtedly good for enjoying sake. Definitely a bar to enjoy different sake, I recommend one with a rock name called “電気菩薩” if you have enough experience in sake.

Amazing, small sake bar with an extremely well curated list. They offer a 1-hour all-you-can-drink tasting where the bartender will guide you through varying styles of sake. Also have a small, tasty snacking menu to pair with your drink.
