4 days in Barbados after a 14 night cruise and we ate here twice a day every day. We usually got the shrimp platter, but tried mahi mahi, chicken Caesar, and most of the menu. Platters with fresh grilled vegetables and grilled potatoes can not be beat. This is as fresh as it gets. Watch them grill your order in the very small kitchen and enjoy your meal in the open air dining. A++++++

This place has great food! It’s conveniently located, has plenty of seating and many options. We got the grilled shrimp, catch of the day platter, and ribs. I found my marlin to be dry and overcooked but the ribs and shrimp were fantastic. The desserts - carrot cake and cheesecake - were great, too.

This was my worst dining experience while in barbados. When I was looking at the menu online it looked like a nice sit down restaurant. I was wrong. - first, it is in the middle of the strip Plaza parking lot, and is open air. -There is a tiny kitchen and counter to order from, the kitchen has windows you can see in, it didn't look dirty, but didn't look clean either. - you order and pay before you sit down. You get 2 receipts, one you have to take to another small counter on other side of restaurant to get your drink. - when your food is ready even if you are eating in with plate, they call your number and you have to go pick it up from the kitchen. - I had streak with vegetables and ceaser salad. The steak was not great, the vegetables was burnt carrot, squash, and tasteless corn on cob. Ceaser was vinegary and not great. I was so disappointed that half way I started googling other restaurants to get something else. Negatives besides bad food: - workers were not friendly. I always say please and thank you for things, the lady who gave me the drink was rude and didn't respond, and when I picked up my plate at the counter I said thanks and again they didn't smile or say anything or even make eye contact, just ignored me. When I ordered I asked for the steak, and she was confused, but they only have one steak on the menu, I had to to read new York steak off menu for her to understand. - none of the tables were clean. The workers were not busy, and most tables were empty, but still all were dirty with food crumbs, sauce, or drink rings. - this was the only place on the whole island that I saw a cockroach. I almost made it the whole 1 week stay without seeing one until I came here. I got up and left when I was half done. I would never eat here again.

Small, well-known local restaurant. Great food and really friendly staff. We ate well and are very happy!! Maria, who supervises, is doing a fantastic job because everything runs smoothly. We were standing outside after supper, and she even came out and asked if we were OK or wanted a taxi!! That is above and beyond 6 stars in my book!!

Good food. It's a bit pricey but tasted 😋 Parking is good but during peak hours it can be troublesome. Safe environment and family friendly. Oh. There is an ice cream shop next door with lots of sitting areas.

So far, after 3 days on the island, this has been our favorite meal. I liked the setting; kind of an open air, plopped in the middle of a parking lot vibe. You order at one booth (?) and pick up your drinks at the other booth. I had a jerk chicken platter with coleslaw and ceasar salad. The plate was piled high with 3 pieces of dark meat chicken (my favorite). The meat was cooked well and tasted delicious, though I prefer my jerk chicken a little hotter and really slathered in sauce. Being super picky about my coleslaw, I was extremely pleased with the one served at Just Grillin'. Like perfection, ya'll! My husband had the Catch of the Day with coleslaw and macaroni pie. We both walked away stuffed and happy. Try it out, and you might find your new favorite place too! Update: We went back today because...yum! If jerk chicken is what you are after, I would recommend two things. #1, get the Jerk Chicken Sandwich Platter. It comes with the same number of sides (2) and one less piece of chicken than the Jerk Chicken Platter but includes a bun with tomato plus a significantly lower price. Win! #2, ask for the sauces: BBQ & hot sauce, mix them together and dip that chicken sandwich. Dreaming of it now!

The food was great and reasonably priced. The staff was courteous and helpful. I will definitely be returning to purchase the same meal again since I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Just went to Just Grillin for my first meal in Barbados and they didn't disappoint. I went with the jerk chicken sandwich which comes with the choice of two sides. I went with the macaroni pie and the rice and peas. The sandwich had a healthy portion of jerk chicken on it and was flavourful with a good kick. The chicken was grilled to perfection all in all a 10/10 sandwich. The macaroni pie was delicious , not the cheesiest I've ever had but solid. The rice and peas came with a topping of marinara sauce which was good but different. I would have rather had some gravy from some ox tail or jerk chicken on top. The Banks was cold, great way to wash down the meal. Great value for $28BDS. The place was packed but we were still able to get a seat and only had to wait about 15 mins for our order to be up. Just as good as I remember it in 2018. Would recommend and will return.
