JUST ROYAL BCN

I did this cooking experience with my friends. It was very nice and great time. The space feels like you've been invited to friend's home for a dinner party. Claudia started off by showing us around Mercat de Boqueria. She gave us some background of the history and took us to a nice charcuterie vendor upon request (a family run shop with great people manning the stall, I forgot the name unfortunately). Then, after returning we started cooking and the whole experience was very comfortable. It was nice because we were able to be involved with all the steps of cooking the main portion of the meal. The food was delicious and I'd highly recommend anyone visiting Barcelona to check it out! Our host Claudia was very friendly and personable and made the experience feel that much more special!

We had a great time cooking with Claudia. She was fun & informative. We started with a variety of regional tapas. We then made an omelet on tomato bread, a wonderful dessert, and amazing paella. Claudia made the whole experience fun and laid back. We were paired with another small group that was also great company & made the experience fun.

Claudia was amazing! We had some chatty people in our bunch, and she handled that very well! Learned a lot and had great dinning experience! And lots of wine! Would highly recommend!

This was somewhat of a last minute decision. I was looking for something to do on a short visit to Barcelona and happened across the Just Royal class. It fit my time and interests so I jumped in. It also helped that I was staying about a 3-4 minute walk away. I was in a small group, which also helped. The space was ample for 3 though I realize it can accommodate quite a few more. It is set up well with nice views of the plaza below. Claudia, the instructor, had everything ready, mise en place, but began with a tour of a local market about a 5 minute walk away. It was just a tour though. I had expected that we'd be making some purchases for the meal but we did not, so I went back the following day to enjoy the sights and pick up a few things on my own. The instructions for the Catalan créme, seafood paella, and Spanish tortilla were well presented, prep was smooth, the cooking went along without a hitch. We had a nice dinner and then left a little before our 4-hr window. Since the meal was preceded by a selection of representative tapas, no one was hungry. I can recommend the class without any reservations.

She made the class both educational and entertaining, keeping everyone involved and making it easy to follow along. The atmosphere was relaxed and fun, and the paella turned out delicious. We did the paella cooking class as a team activity and it was the highlight of the trip! Claudia, Alfredo and the rest of their team were fantastic with our large group. The space is beautiful and the food was amazing! They were super accommodating with everything and we all had a wonderful time together. The cooking class with Claudia was one of the highlights of our trip! It was nice to learn about the market and the best way to pick out fish as we toured through the market stalls. The class itself is held in a charming apartment overlooking a beautiful plaza. Claudia is a fun and informative instructor. The 4 hours flew by and I would recommend this company for cooking classes to anyone looking for a unique social and learning experience in Barcelona.
