Angela Kinsey’s Grub Street Diet

"While wine-tasting in Paso Robles, the wonderful folks at Justin Vineyards & Winery sent us home with a great mix of their whites and reds, and that evening we enjoyed a glass of their Russian River Pinot Noir and Viognier." - Paula Aceves

Best wine tasting experience ever! We did not have a reservation but the host seated us with the best , unobstructed view. The view was gorgeous. The food was delicious and our wine guide was lovely and knowledgeable. She even gave us a free glass of wine for free ( the high end Isoceles). We are definitely converts for Justin wines now and will continue to buy them / gift them from now on. The restaurant is michelin rated and next time we come here, we will try that out!

Not the experience you expect from a “world-class” winery We visited Justin with high expectations, but the overall experience was far below what a leading winery should deliver. The service felt uninterested and not at all welcoming — surprising for a place that positions itself at the top of Paso Robles. One of the biggest disappointments was that all the wines were poured into the same glass. At every reputable winery we’ve visited, they provide a proper flight of glasses so you can appreciate and compare the wines. Using one glass for multiple premium pours made the tasting feel rushed and low-quality. Even the chocolate pairing was poorly presented. There were no explanations, no guidance, and honestly no way to tell which chocolate was supposed to pair with which wine. It felt like random pieces of chocolate on a plate — no story, no intention, nothing special. For the price and for a winery that markets itself as world-class, this was disappointing and left us feeling robbed rather than valued. I originally wanted to become a Reserve Member, but after this experience, I don’t see a reason to return.

Beautiful tasting/restaurant space. Our well mannered pups were welcomed and treated like family. ❤️ Our server, Kevin, was absolute perfection. He balanced information about the wines and winery with personal stories of his life. So glad we took the sideways way home from Cambria to Auburn today! We WILL be back again with friends! The Sauv Blanc was the best choice for the warm day, the Cabernet Sauv was also delightful. Worth the drive.

Just came back from THE amazing experience dining at Justin. We have been a fan of Justin wines for years but didn't have the dining experience until tonight. The creativities, the artistry, the brilliance behind every dish... we were so overwhelmed! The service and staff was amazing. Rest assured that they are not cutting corners in every way in my opinions and give you the best experience you possibly have. Please please dont be less than what you are and that how you maintain if not gain more loyalty to your brand. We walked away with SB reserve, Savant and Justification ♥️♥️♥️.

Google
Pretty setting but way overpriced. The food was salty and expensive. This was the most expensive wine tasting I’ve ever done and the wine was mediocre. I have tried much better wine for a much more reasonable price at other wineries. The pours were small and the experience was impersonal and stuffy. Will never go back. Absolutely ridiculous.

Google
This wine estate is a bit farther from most of the wineries here but they have some really tasty wines! I recommend making reservations for lunch ahead of time so you can enjoy a flight with some food. The burger here is really fantastic and juicy too. Great open space and pretty busy on the weekends too.

We went to the Restaurant today and it was disappointing from a few perspectives: 1. The service until they find out that you are not buying a lot of wines is good. 2. Once wine selected, checkout at the desk (and not at our restaurant table) was very disappointing A. They did not offer the check as such. Just quoted a total number that was hard to decipher. B. They asked us to pay tip on total amount including the wines we were paying to take home. Who does that? c. Despite asking for detailed bill, he did not offer one. 3. Seating asked in the patio in sun was not even explored. We sat some place we did not like. The place is less than welcoming and shows a bit snobbish style.

Another fabulous tasting experience at Justin! I’m an Isosceles Reserve Member and my experiences are always A+. This visit was exceptional! I treated my niece to her first ever proper wine tasting experience. Kyle made our visit absolutely memorable. My niece enjoyed every single wine we tasted and our lunch was so good!!!She’ll be bragging about this experience for many years to come. Thank you Justin and Kyle for making our tasting wonderful. I’m so happy to be an IR club member.

Yelp
Short Version Assistance+ Balance+ Cleanliness+ Deliciousness+ Environment+ Long version Assistance+ Service was prompt professional and delicate. Greeted warmly, sat quickly, waited on, and never left wanting. Balance+ Quantity/Quality vs Price was equal most of the food was from scratch and hand crafted, the wine pairings were flawless. The flight was inexpensive and we each got two pours for coming in. Cleanliness+ Even indoor outdoor seating was clean. Literally as if it had just been swept and wiped clean that morning. I'm assuming it was. Deliciousness+ I've craved the pumpkin dessert with carmelized pear topping since the first bite. Their focaccia was perfect. The handcrafted truffles were to die for! Environment+ Amazing floor, tasting area, the seating outside was gorgeous, the themes were on point. Everywhere was a modernized traditional italian style to it. Absolutely beautiful.

Yelp
We drove to this location which was nestled in the foothills of Paso Robles. Very scenic ride. We arrived, it appeared to be busy, we didn't have a reservation. We were told we could get some drinks at the bar pending a table opening up. Our server was Laura. She served us several samples and enjoyed the different flavors and taste. Approximately 15 minutes passed when we given a table. We tried the $49.00 sampler of four different reds and ordered food. Three of us had the famous cheese burger with fries. One order of a vegan cheeseburger. The burgers were huge and tasty . The dessert tray consisted of 5 different chocolate delights and passion fruit edibles. The service was outstanding as was the wine. Jeff Utah

Yelp
My wife and I went to Justin Winery for a wine tasting and dinner tasting menu which lists on their website $225. per person. When the bill arrived it was $903.00 (DOUBLE THE PRICE THEY LISTED ON THEIR WEBSITE) We were in shock!! When we got to Justin they tried to upsell us and I said, no thank you, I'd just like the $225. per person Dinner Tasting Menu we signed up for. The food was mediocre at best and they claim its a Michelin star restaurant. I've been to many amazing Michelin star restaurants and this was not on the same level, nor was it worth double what we were told when we made the reservation. I want to warn everyone going here, it's not what they tell you. My wife and I went to Daou winery just before visiting Justin, and Daou's food and wine were much higher caliber and we were able to eat and try over 8 different wines for $150.00 for the both of us. DO not go to Justin - it's a rip-off!

Yelp
Had such a wonderful experience with friends at Justin for lunch and a tasting! Kyle helped us and was so friendly and informative. He was interesting to listen to, we learned a lot, and enjoyed every sip and bite along the way. The truffle fries were a delicious hit and the burger was one of the best I've had. Pours for the tasting are generous and we didn't feel rushed at all. We also enjoyed a walk around the beautiful grounds afterwards. Justin is a place to go for an upscale experience. They have excellent food (and so many gluten free options!), a beautiful atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious wines.

Yelp
This is my third time being here and it is one of my favorite wineries to come, do a tasting, experience the wine life and enjoy myself with friends and family. Carly took care of us today and she was amazing at guiding us through the tastings and this time we also did a chocolate flight ($20 each) and it is sooooo worth it! It takes the wines to another level with flavor and the complexities of the different wines. Highly recommend. Please do yourself and your party a favor -- book a time -- become a member and enjoy a piece of the sweet life per Justin wines. You'll thank me later! ;-)

Yelp
Wine tasting was perfect Had a good time at the restaurant for dinner and good stay at their Inn .

Yelp
Nice 20+ min drive to get out of town with beautiful scenery. Arriving you can tell you're in the right place. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming from the hosts at the entrance to the servers and soms. Kyle was our som and extremely knowledgeable and friendly which made for another great experience. We only went for the wine tasting and they did not disappoint. Everyone loved the wine. Yes the tasting is expensive but you know that going in and if you buy a couple bottles, they comp the tasting which was a nice surprise. So basically 2 bottles for 1. Also had a sampling of chocolate and was a nice addition. Walked the grounds a little and the chefs garden was nice With so many wineries in the area don't know if I'd go back but if you haven't, you should.

Yelp
Made my reservations on Tock as soon as we planned our Paso Robles adventure. I found reservations were a bit confusing but basically, just reserve for the number of people in your party: each guest is not committed to a wine flight and/or food. They have a beautiful patio area overlooking the vineyard and the weather was perfect. My bf started off with the wine flight, and I ordered a glass of Sauvignon blanc. Justin has a seasonal lunch menu, but the Justin cheeseburger is a permanent fixture on it. My friends absolutely raved about this burger and our server told us it was "one of the top 3 burgers ever". We had high hopes, but actually found it salty. The perfect well balanced bite was in the middle with a bit of every item in it. The truffle fries were bomb. A must upgrade! We also ordered the cauliflower which had bits of braised lamb, pistachio, mint, and a yogurt drizzle. This was delicious! $49 wine flight is not cheap (well compared to Napa it is!), but is waived with a $100 minimum wine purchase, which of course we did. Please note: If you're purchasing wine and your lunch is on the same bill, make sure your tip amount is what you want it to be. I settled the bill when I was tipsy, (it was not itemized, just went directly to the tip screen), automatically pushed the 20% button only to realize once I got the receipt online hours later it was tip on the grand total. Not that we didn't receive great service, but not 40% great.

Yelp
Date: Sunday, July 23rd, 2023 Time: 11:30am Party of: 4 What: Wine Tasting & Lunch The hubby and I met up with some friends for lunch and wine. I believe my girlfriend's boy is a member of Justin? Or a member of a winery associated with Justin? Anyways, he ended up making the rezzies, so I can't comment on how far in advance you should book your appointment. Premium Flight ($80) $40 for Wine Society Complimentary for IR Members Tasting Fee Waived with $200 Purchase *2019 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon: 100% cabernet sauvignon *2020 Justification: 66% cabernet franc, 34% merlot *2020 Isosceles: 88% cabernet sauvignon, 6% cabernet franc, 6% merlot *2016 Isosceles Reserve: 86% cabernet sauvignon, 6% merlot, 4% cabernet franc, 3% malbec, 1% petit verdot *2018 Isosceles Reserve: 62% cabernet sauvignon, 16% cabernet franc, 13% merlot, 6% malbec, 3% petit verdot Wine Flight ($49) Complimentary for Wine Society Members Tasting Fee Waived with $100 Wine Purchase *2021 Rose: syrah *2020 Right Angle: 84% cabernet sauvignon, 8% malbec, 6% petite sirah, 2% petit verdot *2020 Reserve Malbec: 100% malbec *2020 Isosceles: 88% cabernet sauvignon, 6: cabernet franc, 6% merlot *Local Cheese & Charcuterie: cheese from shooting star creamery & central coast creamery, cured meats from alle pia & house-made pate ($55) *Truffle Fries: parmesan, thyme, chive, gruyere cheese sauce ($16) I ended up getting the premium flight while everyone else got the normal flight. It was a good way to try all the wines since the hubs and I shared. This was our meal until dinner, so it was nice having some cheese and charcuterie. And who doesn't love fries with everything?! We had someone with a dairy allergy at our table. We made our server aware of this, but he ended up having a reaction. We did tell them we were going to share the fries, so we needed everything with dairy on a separate plate. Luckily he ended up fine by dinner time, but he had to leave due to his reaction. I had fun wine tasting here, but definitely be careful with the food and cross contamination. If you have an allergy, they may not be able to accommodate. REVIEW #3433

Yelp
Ever been somewhere you could actually sit at all day and it only feels like a little bit of time has passed - that was JUSTIN for my family one afternoon. First off the property is STUNNING. The windy roads to get there were a challenge for me - I was beyond nauseous from the windy roads but it was 100% worth it. The building and space is open and airy and beautiful, but the vineyards and gardening around it are what make the experience. And our server, Andrew - he hands down made the experience and went above and beyond with serving us and teaching us everything that came to mind. The premium wine tasting is a must do. Spread out over a few hours (and with some other special pours we were lucky to get) it really gives you enough of a variety to distinctly taste and appreciate each one. I don't like typical reds you pick up from the grocery store and I loved each red that was poured here. It's pretty night and day between these authentic bottles and grocery store stashes. Besides perfect wine - the lunch was exceptional. Like actually exceptional. I thought we'd be nibbling some nuts and bread or something appetizer like - absolutely not. We had the focaccia to start with the mushroom tapenade spread and that was amazing. Our whole table got the salad with some sort of protein and the burger. The salad. Is. Fantastic. Soooooo filling and fresh and you're looking a garden while eating it so it's hard not to be happy knowing (or hoping) some of the ingredients came from there. The burger is HUGE. Could easily feed 2 people. There's a huge patty and a thick slab of Brie melting on top. It's seriously gigantic, but so delicious. The BEST thing that we ate this whole trip though was truffle fries. If you go, get them. You won't regret it. Last thing worth mentioning is that our server, Andrew was amazing. We had a lot of people with a lot of questions and he wasn't phased. We also bought sooooo much wine to bring home and he was nice enough to give us a discount. 12/10 hospitality and service.

Yelp
Our dining experience was out of this world. Everything was well thought out and we had a person in our group with a glute in and dairy free needs and they accommodated and made substitutions that never for a second made him wish he was eating what we had. It's truly an e perir ce worth having.

Yelp
Justin was the last wine tour on our trip . The grounds are very nice with a beautiful garden. The food is good but, a bit pricey ( reason for the 4 stars) . We had lunch and a nice wine tasting on the outdoor patio. The staff was nice and accommodating . Plenty of parking close by.

Yelp
My fiancé and I recently had the pleasure of visiting Justin Vineyards and Winery in Paso Robles, and I must say it was an absolute delight for all the senses. From the moment we stepped onto the property, we knew we were in for an extraordinary wine-tasting experience. The vineyard itself is nestled in the picturesque hills of Paso Robles, creating a stunning backdrop for the wine tasting adventure. The rolling vineyards, lush greenery, and serene ambiance set the stage for a truly memorable visit. It's a place where nature's beauty meets the artistry of winemaking. The staff at Justin Vineyards and Winery are true ambassadors of their craft and so warm and welcoming! Visiting Justin Vineyards and Winery was a true highlight of our time in Paso Robles. The combination of outstanding wines, breathtaking scenery and knowledgeable staff makes it a must-visit destination for any wine lover!

Yelp
Beautiful property and land. We were in Paso Robles for one day and someone at the previous restaurant recommended we visit a winery when we asked what is there to do in Paso Robles? She called out Justin and I remember having this brand so I called for a same day reservation and they accommodated us. The building is white and beautiful. Elegant. When the host checked us in, they said there's outdoor seating (it was a hot day but they have plenty of outdoor fans blasting) or we could taste indoors but it was standing room only around the bar. Wish they had more indoor seating options though because if you drink wine and are tipsy that could be a dangerous game. They gave us the tasting menu there were only two options a $50 basic one or a premium one double the price. Then we looked at the wine list and decided it was more economical to order a bottle then spend money on a tasting with barely any wine or a glass that's $15-30. The older man that helped us with the hat was real nice. My friend wanted a bubbly but they don't carry effervescent wine so we opted for a white with fruity notes. I made fun of her because I told her she basically wanted fruit juice lol and we were laughing so much that a bigger man who was working asked what we had because we were laughing already before getting our wine. We were just being silly I couldn't tell if he was serious or not. The environment and vibes inside did seem pretentious where you had to be on your best behavior, if you're going to laugh or be silly probably best to sit outside. Overall $40 for a bottle of the white we had, it was okay. Lots of fancy people dressed up. Would I come back? No. I prefer a more family environment when it comes to wine tasting. A place where laughing and being yourself is acceptable.

Yelp
We came for the wine cave tour and it was interesting as I had never been on one before. Lindsay, the woman who led the tour, was very passionate and knowledgeable. The wines were good and the cave tour was great. Bring a jacket though because it's chilly!

Yelp
Justin was the last stop on our wine tasting tour during a recent bachelorette party. As I did not participate in wine tasting, this review is specifically in regards to our group's dining experience. Pros: The building and views are stunning. You can tell they invested a ton of money into the space. The restrooms were very clean. The $36 cheeseburger was delicious (or we were super hungry). Cons: We were not allowed to make a reservation larger than 5 individuals (despite having membership here), so our group had to be split. They were also not able to seat us immediately during our reservation time and we had to wait a bit - which remained a theme throughout our dining experience. Service was horrible - our waitress was hard to find and was extremely inattentive (despite mentioning she had worked there since 2008). Several items we ordered were never brought out. The wine tasting is quite expensive and our waitress was slow to bring out each of the tastings. HUGE Cons: Our tables were attacked by yellow jackets throughout our meal. The restaurant is aware of this issue and joked they "didn't know what else to do about this problem" and "they are attracted to meat." I'm not sure it was safe for us to eat outside with this issue. Half of our table was also in direct heat and there was no one available to move the umbrella for us. I would NOT recommend this spot nor would I return in the future.
google avatar

Yelp
Way off the beaten path- but well worth the drive on the long and winding road! Make a reservation. Although difficult to get to, it is a sought-after winery and restaurant. Find time to get away from the average wineries that are everywhere in Paso, and visit this extraordinary one.
google avatar

Cathy P.

Yelp
We've been members here for years and just love this place even though it's pretty far away from downtown Paso Robles. The wine tasting experience is top notch, the view is fantastic and the lunch is great.
google avatar

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Justin was known for their first time going to competition with the Isosceles Wine and put Paso Robles on the Cabernet Sauvignon map (per the waiter that served us). We tried out their flight (and you can share it if you're winery hopping) along with a charcuterie board. There's not much of a view nor much to learn from. While the cheese and spreads were good, the waiter wasn't very interactive and we didn't feel it represented what we thought Justin was about. Also, it is very expensive compared to the other wineries in the area for subpar service and atmosphere. Also, only the Isosceles was good, all the other wines were quite flat. Their restaurant also have a Michelin star but you would need to make a reservation way early to be able to try it.

Yelp
It's worth the long drive to visit this place from south bay. If you are staying the night, definitely. We came for lunch and wine tasting over a weekend. The tables, all outdoors and can be a bit breezy, were pretty much sold out. Food menu was simple with burger as the only full-sized item. There were three wine flight choices. Guests can order whatever, including wine by the glasses or bottle. We got the "Heritage Flight", the most expensive choice, and a glass of Viognier. Ordered Charcuterie board, roast cauliflower, chicken pot pie, and burgers. All were delicious! Heritage wine flights were all expensive reds and we were impressed. At the end, I joined the wine club and bought enough to waive all tasting fees. I am sure I will enjoy the wines at home and come here again in the future.

Yelp
Love the Central Coast! Love Justin Vineyards! We've enjoyed their wine for years so it was nice to finally experience their vineyard. It did not dissapoint, the service was friendly and we learned a lot from our tasting. Clean, spacious, a great place to have an event and lots of nice merchandise for souvenirs or gifts! Cheers!
google avatar

Yelp
Justin wines have been one of my favorites of the central coast for many years. Now that I live in Paso, I relished at the opportunity to come see it up-close and in-person. RSVP is practically required. So, a few days before, we called and luckily got an afternoon spot. They have several tastings, but my party of 4 all opted for the $50 tasting. One white, and four reds. They were all fantastic, but the highlight was the famed Isosceles. Kevin, our educator, was so fun and had heavy pours. Perfect. We loved it so much, we joined the wine club. Incentives: the wine tastings were comped, and we got 30% off any bottle (I got 3). So, worthwhile indeed. The only downside is that we had a 2pm reservation, so we ate lunch beforehand, and had early dinner plans. Bummer! Could have had one of their $36+ burgers that looked (and I've heard is) phenomenal. Recommended

Yelp
If you going or passing Paso Robles, I highly suggest to stop at Justin Vineyard. They have great food, great wine and service.

Yelp
Visited this winery with my partner and dog for my birthday. Our server (forgot his name :() was very friendly, attentive and informative. I appreciated their open area outside so that my dog could walk around if needed. Wine and food were both great as well.

Yelp
The drive is wild. There's no reception. We couldn't log into their WiFi, our server was ehhhh. But, I left being a member. I was able to make a reservation. The wine was delicious. The food was tasty. They started us off with rose. For someone who doesn't drink Rose, it was good. We split the burger. It's huge. There's no way I could've finished a whole one myself! Didn't even finish the split. The fries were amazing. Add an egg to the burger. It was perfectly cooked. At least we didn't take an Uber. lol I wouldn't know how we would call one to come get us!

Yelp
A wonderful winery to stop by in Paso Robles. Tasting fee waived with some purchase of their wines. Beautiful location to spend time for a tasting and photo taking. Also. a variety of Justin merchandise are available for purchase as well .

Yelp
Justin Winery Our first winery in Paso Robles area! There is Free parking and a good amount also. We made reservations for a Saturday at 130 and got there early at 1230 and was able to get seated early. The host and hostess were very nice and asked us how our drive was since we told them we were out of town. There are three different flight options for the wine tasting or you can do a single glass or whole bottle. We decided to go with the $80 premium tasting flight. This flight comes with 5 tasting at 2oz each. They also give you a complimentary wine to start with and an extra complimentary wine to end with. We also wanted lunch and I ordered the chicken pot pie and the hubby got Justin's burger and truffle fries. My chicken pot pie filling was good but I wish the crust was more the traditional style. It was a cheddar and thyme pie top crust and it was just ok. The hubbys burger with the fig jam and side of truffle fries made me wish I had ordered a burger myself lol. Jill our server our server was very kind and knowledgeable about wines and the history and story behind the isosceles logo of the Justin brand. Our favorite wine was the 2020 reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, the flavors were just perfect! ALL the other wines were really good as well. The scenery surrounding the winery is beautiful and we walked around a bit after finishing our meal and tastings, and took some pictures to remember our visit. I would definitely recommend this place and come back when we are in Paso Robles again!!

Yelp
We visited the winery during the extreme heat of 110 degrees on July 5th. The tasting/dining room was nice and comfortable. We soon found out they didn't offer tap water, they only offered 1 small bottle of fuji water for each person. If you want more, it's $1 per bottle. Huh???!!!! This is how you treat your customers especially in this extreme heat? Luckily we brought our own water, or we could go broke buying water from them or passed out due to the heat! No joke! Fortunately the wine and food were both tasty. I like the reds, there are layers and flavors with their reds. Then unfortunately, the person conducting our tasting was disappointing. She knew it was our first time visiting the winery but she didn't bother to offer any background of the winery or introduce the 26 acre garden where they harvest edible flowers, vegetables, herbs...etc), the inn on site, the Michelin star restaurant they have....etc. And what's up with the flies flying around indoors while we were trying to relax and enjoy our wines and meals???!!! They really should do something about it! It's not a fast food joint, it's supposed to be a high end elegant winery!

Yelp
What a lovely afternoon! Really wanted to check out the food and wow! Was it delicious! I had a special...salmon with a tri color quinoa that was friggin amazing. The English Pea Ravioli my husband had was light and so yummy. Then we finished off with the chocolates and I might have died. So good! Wines were great! Jill our server was great! They were accommodating to our pup as well. A perfectly lovely visit well worth the drive off the beaten path'

Yelp
Did the barrel tour. Lindsey was knowledgeable and kind. Wine was okay but I'm not the biggest red wine fan so take that with a grain of salt

Yelp
Hands down the best winery in Paso! The land it sits on it's absolutely stunning and the tour should not be missed. The tasting is also great. You MUST try the hamburger which was the best I have ever tasted. The staff are absolutely wonderful, helpful and make you feel so welcome. I had the best time with my family when we visited.

Yelp
Where do I start?? Justin vineyard's first impression on us is how grand this estate is. The soft serenity of this 160 acre vineyard is incredible. There is someone you greet you in and escort you into the lobby, where a server will guide you to the restaurant. There is hardly anything to complain about the food, creative and beautiful, to say the least. The dessert wine is wonderful too. There is an order to the place, from when you need to go to the restroom, to the table service at the table. Justin is somewhere where I see it becoming 3 stars soon.
google avatar

Sonia M.

Yelp
We went Justin winery to celebrate a friend's milestone 50th birthday party. We were expecting to have a great time but it was the opposite. We tried to sit together as we were part of a large group of 17. The manager wouldn't allow us to have 2 tables placed together as he stated the server can't legally serve that many people. The tables were separated but the waitress served both tables anyways. The waitress took our order but only took it for one table and not the other. She assumed we were ordering for both. The food was full of mistakes. We didn't receive the truffle fries but regular fries. The hamburger had hair in it. We ordered pasta without prosciutto and it came with prosciutto. The burgers were also cooked wrong. There were lots of bees outside and some of us almost got stung. The manager refused to come over snd address our issues.

Again, a solid 4 star experience. Justin is definitely corporate owned -- and there's a definite corporate feel to it -- nevertheless, the people working here make for a nice experience. The Platinum Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is the REAL DEAL dayummmm. That's the best wine I ever had at Justin - what a treat. The views, the vibe, everything is top notch. Bring your piggy bank....it ain't cheap.

Yelp
I am soo sad that our short visit was not a great one. I LOVE this wine, it is smooth, I love all the variety, usually I am a white wine person, but Justin is just soo good. I want to start off with that. When we came, the front reception people were so rude. My friend is a member and they were rude to him too, rude to me, pointed at menu's for us to look at instead of telling us what was available, or saying, "here take a look at these, this is what we have at the moment"..... I mean, you are the first people we see when we walk in the door, no company, no matter who they are has the grand reputation to have customer service like this.... No matter, this is your job to put on a happy face, smile and be nice to the customers.

Yelp
We visited on a Friday afternoon for a 3:45pm reservation. We were seated in at the tables overlooking the vineyard which was a plus but it was fairly hot that day. They had fans to help with the heat but luckily they had some ice for the bottle waters to help keep us cool. We both did the wine tasting and thought all of theirs wines tasted good. Our favorite was the 2019 Isosceles Reserve and we purchased a bottle to take home. I would definitely come back to this winery the next time I am in the area.

Yelp
Wine Flight: $49/tasting for 4 pours (fee waived with $100 wine purchase), Premium Flight: $80/tasting for 5 pours (fee waived with $200 wine purchase), and Heritage Flight: $155/tasting to choose any 5 off the list of "Library" wines. What more can I say about Justin, that hasn't already been said? Is it pricy? YES! Are the wines worth it? In my opinion, YES!! As far as I'm concerned, all of the wines that Justin makes, especially the reds, are as if their wine maker asked me specifically what I wanted them to make for my drinking pleasure. This was our first visit, and I understand that Justin was recently purchased by the Fuji Water people, so I don't know if that makes a difference from what they were like before. We sat outside on a beautiful, covered patio with views of the surrounding gardens, vineyards, and hillsides. NOTE: They have a couple EV charging stations in their parking lot. WINES: The service was exemplary. Stephanie poured for us, and she was so friendly, and her pours were generous. My wife and I shared both the standard wine flight, and the premium flight, but we also received several other pours, including the '18 Platinum Reserve Cab. Sauv. Most of Justin's wines are made of French varietals (Cab. Sauv., Cab. Franc, Merlot, Malbec, Syrah, Petite Syrah, and Petit Verdot). As I stated earlier, we loved everything and decided to take 8 bottles home with us. Therefore, we joined the Wine Society club, which saves you 20% off your wine and merchandise purchases. It also includes 20% off dinner service at the restaurant, accommodations at the JUST Inn, free tastings, and much more. Then after you join, you can upgrade your membership to one of several "exclusive" clubs, which can get you up to 30% off your purchases. The minimum commitment is only 6 bottles, twice a year. You can also enjoy lunch during your visit (served Thur - Mon 11 am - 2:30 pm), but we didn't take advantage of that on this visit. In summary, even though the price for tasting is on the high side, and the bottle prices can be steep (unless you're a club member), I definitely think it's worth a visit, at least once in your life. The wines and service are to a level you would expect for the cost. I highly recommend.

Yelp
Our first time here. Kyle was our server and hands down he was the best server we had this wine tasting weekend. His service was amazing but above his amazing service he knowledge of the various wines, how it was made, preserved and color pigmentation was very helpful in guiding us throughout the meal. Highly recommend the food and wine here.l and try asking for Kyle if you can. He's exceptional at his craft.

Yelp
Unfortunately I've just cancelled my Justin membership after my most visit on 12/28. After making a reservation it took 20 minutes to be seated. We started the tasting, then got up to take a picture of the view, and our table was given away. It then took us another 30 minutes to get re-seated and our server jumped back into the tasting as if nothing had happened. It was clearly a busy day but the lack of urgency and acknowledgement was disappointing.

Yelp
We did a tasting and lunch here on a busy Friday afternoon. Reservations are a must. We had a nice table outside in the shade. We shared a burrata appetizer and each had the Justin burger. My husband had his with truffle fries and I got a salad. The burgers were delicious, perfectly cooked and my salad was also great. Our server weaved in all the different wines and though the tasting fee is pricey, they waive it if you buy at least two bottles. The wines were wonderful and we took home a Malbec and Isosceles. This place is expensive but very elegant and classy but casual experience. Would love to try the restaurant for dinner someday.

Yelp
Loved the service and the food here. They staggered the seating and there were only a handful of tables. The 6:30 seating was perfect since we could catch the sunset. Each dish including all the amuse bouches were delicious. Loved the burrata and peach. Loved the cheese soufflé!!Loved the lamb dumpling thing and the beef was so flavorful. They deserve two Michelin stars not one.

Yelp
I have no words at the phenomenal service, food or wine at this place! This was the first time I went to wine taste and was pleasantly surprised how they do it. You get to sit at the patio with a food menu and can opt for the premium or regular tasting flights. I wished I snapped a pic of the food menu. Either way everything we had was beautifully curated and tasty down to the last bite. We will be stopping in here again especially to buy more wine. One day I hope to stay at the Inn there. The ambiance is unmatched and so fresh!

Yelp
I love the food (available on Thursday - Monday) and every tasting from the classic wine flight was a winner. The burger and the truffle fries seem to be a fabulous staple as they have been here on past visits. Heads up: The appetizer portion of the fries is more than generous; the gooey melted cheese with hints of truffle and garlic is addictive and worthy upgrade if you do the burger. Speaking of the burger, it is juicy and solid. My fiancé added avocado but it was so yummy and flavorful because of the Brie cheese that it was not needed. I ordered the chicken pot pie and it was perfect for the cold rainy day. I follow the school of thought that the pot pies need to shine with warm, delicious innards; the crust should be yummy and crispy as a good way to add texture. Justin's pot pie was perfection in this regard. The balance between veggies and chicken was nice and the sauce herby. It's not always on the menu but I will definitely hope it is when I return. As for the wine, you can't go wrong with any option here, but the Right Angle is the best overall. Service is super nice and attentive. We went once on an earlier weekday and while the kitchen was closed, they were kind of enough to offer the cheese and charcuterie plate. It was impressive, filling, and worthy of its heavier price tag. I also love how dog friendly they are; it's nice to be able to include your pup on vacation (they are very people friendly too and that makes you feel very welcomed). We relaxed on the covered patio. It was a rainy day but it was still lovely as there were heaters and the patio was lively with other guests. A perfect lunch.

Yelp
Service was amazing. Carly was our server and she took great care of us. Very friendly and very knowledgeable about the wine. Food was excellent. We were a party of six, we all had the burger with extra as well as truffle fries or regular fries. We also ordered the chocolate flight which did not disappoint. Justin is a very nice winery. My daughter in law has been a member for a while now. We definitely recommend you visit when in Paso Robles.

Yelp
Amazing wine, beautiful landscape and the staff was so helpful and friendly. I will definitely be back. Better than Napa. My new favorite vineyard.

Yelp
Service was amazing . As you walked in the door, there was a greeter that helped us out, and we were sitting outside. View is 5 out of 5, but the heat was a killer it was 100 degrees outside during the time I went in July. Even with the water fan, it's tough to be out, but the view was so nice we stayed outside until we let the server know, and they were able to sit us inside upstairs, and it was . We were able to finally enjoy the wine. I say Justin wine oveall is 3.5, even for whites and red. Good wine. Food is better. Burger was amazing. Service was top of the notch

Yelp
Beautiful location about twenty minutes outside of Paso Robles in the hills. I went on a work weekend and it was at least 105, maybe 120 degrees there. Hottest day of the year. We were seated outside in the shade overlooking a hill of vineyards. Absolutely must try the cheeseburger here. Never had a Brie type cheese with a hamburger before and it was delicious. I would also try the viogener wine. Hard to find anywhere but was perfect with a salad. Service was outstanding with plenty of Fiji water (Fiji bought Justin years ago). Will come back and try the restaurant for dinner.

Yelp
This winery was probably the highlight of my birthday weekend. There are certain Central Coast wineries that I think can stand up to Napa/Sonoma, and I think Justin is one of them. The property is simply stunning and the views go on for miles and miles. We were able to get a table outside and that's the way to go. Of course, it does feel pretty corporate when you walk in with all of the Fiji water bottles around, but everyone working here seems to trying to give it a more personal feeling. We had the premium wine-tasting flight ($80/ for 5 pours) but I genuinely felt it was worth it. The Isocoles is truly outstanding. Next on my list will be trying out the Michelin star restaurant, also on the property.
