Amazing experience with a lovely Monastery with incredible history. Loved the ruins to explore around it and the views. Wind was wild! Wear shorts under your skirts, ladies!

Visiting Lari Monastery is an unforgettable experience for most since this is a holy site The monastery is easily accessible and is a 2 min uphill walk from the parking lot. The monastery is overlooking Aragvi and Mtvari rivers. The monastery also offers breathtaking panoramic views of the ancient town of Mtskheta.

One of my favorite monasteries that we visited in Georgia. You can come to pay respect to the original cross of Jesus. A piece of the original cross is safe inside a wooden cross. It is on the wall on the left when you enter the building. Make sure you pay respect and follow all the rules when entering the holy places.

Whether you're a history enthusiast, a lover of architecture, or simply seeking a peaceful retreat, Ivari Monastery is a must-visit. The combination of its historical significance, architectural beauty, and natural surroundings makes it a truly inspiring destination.

The place was very calm & once you go to the top of the mountain, the view is amazing where the river is flowing by & lush green surroundings in the peak of summer. The Monastery has a rich history & a must place to visit in Georgia. You can walk straight to this place and there are no charges.

Jvari Monastery is a sixth-century Georgian Orthodox monastery on a hilltop near Mtskheta. The main structure of the monastery is intact, but surrounding smaller structures are broken. It's a very unique monument sitting on a hilltop and provides excellent view of Mtskheta city, rivers and mountains. It's visible from Mtskheta city itself. It's one of the must visit places in Georgia.
