We stayed at JW Marriott Anaheim Resort for three nights during our Disneyland trip, and it was a fantastic experience. We booked through the American Express Platinum Hotel Collection, which included breakfast and it was well worth it. The rooms were spotless, the hotel itself is beautifully maintained, and the staff was warm and welcoming throughout our stay. Valet service was prompt and efficient. The breakfast team always greeted us with a smile, adding to the overall positive experience. Thank you for a wonderful stay

We stayed at JW Marriott Anaheim from July 17–24 and while the hotel is modern and the rooms are spacious, our overall experience didn’t live up to the 5-star label. The rooftop bar—one of the key amenities we were excited for—was unexpectedly inaccessible without a reservation, which was never mentioned by staff during check-in or orientation. Both Seth and Joy had highlighted the rooftop as a major perk, but never once said reservations were needed. When we tried to go up, we were denied access and told it was in a text they had sent—something we felt should have been clearly explained in person, not hidden in fine print. To the hotel’s credit, management did follow up: Duncan reached out and offered us Executive Lounge access for the fireworks and complimentary breakfast (which we appreciated and used for two days). The director, Cindy, also invited us back to the rooftop bar, but we declined based on our initial experience. Valet service was excellent (although being $70 a day is ludicrous), and the front staff—including Seth and Joy—were kind and welcoming at first. That said, the hotel just doesn’t deliver a true 5-star experience, especially at nearly $400/night. There are other hotels nearby with similar amenities at a better value. One and done for us.

The hotel is clean, beautifully designed, and incredibly well-organized. Everything from check-in to daily housekeeping ran like clockwork. What truly set this experience apart, though, was the outstanding staff. Every team member I encountered was warm, professional, and attentive. In particular, Sean deserves special recognition. He was an incredible representative of the JW Marriott brand—genuinely kind, proactive, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure guests feel welcome and cared for. Because of this experience, I can confidently say I will be choosing JW Marriott for my future travels wherever possible. This stay made a great impression, and I’m already looking forward to returning.

This hotel is fantastic—it’s in excellent condition and perfectly located near Disneyland. I did have an issue with my room initially, but Victor, the manager, went above and beyond to make it right. Every staff member I interacted with was genuinely friendly and helpful. One thing that really stood out was how quiet the rooms are—nearly soundproof—which made for a peaceful and restful stay. The rooms themselves are spacious, with comfortable beds and a clean, modern feel. I travel frequently for work and stay at many Marriott properties, and from top to bottom, this team is among the best I’ve encountered. I would 100% stay here again.

Arriving at the hotel we knew we had made the right decision to book at JW Marriott Anaheim. We had arrived from a long haul flight that had an unplanned stopover that made our flight 20 hours, so getting out of the car, being told we have your bags just head up and check in was about all we could handle. ||Check in was a breeze, kept short and to the point, given clear guidance on resort fee, hotel amenities and room location.||Finding our room was simple and our Pool View room was quiet, clean, modern and perfect for two adults and one teen. Bathroom was spacious and beds comfortable.||We used the cafe downstairs to get grab and go breakfast using our resort fee credit, room service when we were exhausted and bottled water from the bell desk when we went out and about. Service was as expected from this level of hotel. We loved the proximity to the GardenWalk and had meals at the restaurants and also ordered via door dash and just walked down and collected.||Walk to Disneyland was easy and pleasant in the morning, middle of the day and at night. We did uber to and from the park on 2 days due to our teens exhaustion as she was unwell.||We didn’t have a car, but our Ubers and airport transfers were able to easily access the hotel with no lines. ||We actually spent 5 nights here then moved to another hotel of the same star level in the area, and our teen became unwell and was not fit to fly home. That hotel had no rooms available to extend our stay so we booked back at JW and they were fantastic, offering us a park view upgrade, allowing us to view the room to see if we liked it and helping out with getting us quickly settled and a late checkout due to a night departure. Much more accommodating and very helpful that the other location we stayed who did not offer any solutions or late checkout to help us while we tried to source another hotel while our teen was unwell. JW staff helped to ease some stress while we worked out how we were getting home after having to cancel our flights. Greatly appreciated.||Thanks for a great stay, top of our list for accommodation for when we next visit.

Google
My go to Disneyland hotel. Always an excellent and personalized experience. Comfortable and spacious rooms, tasteful and comfortable atmosphere. Everyone from the valet to front staff to room service and runners are helpful and genuinely interested in your positive experience at the property. Never rushed when requesting late check out. Will continue to book again and again!

Stayed here as a family for Disneyland. Great spot. Very short walk to the park entrance. Don’t even consider a shuttle, very easy walk. Check in was the best I’ve ever experienced. The gentleman was so welcoming, fast and thorough. Didn’t keep me at the desk for any longer than needed but I was told everything I needed to know. Rooms are very new and spacious. We had 4 of us in a twin room with a plethora of bags and we still managed. Bathrooms are modern and spacious. There is a Starbucks in the foyer too which was convenient. Also a Starbucks and a Huckleberry’s outside the hotel which we used every day on the walk to DL. ||The negatives for me, the lobby bar was consistently under-staffed and the chaos of trying to get a drink made it not worth it. Also for the 7 days I stayed there nobody answered a single phone call.. reception, room service, housekeeping.. weirdly not a single call was answered from our room. ||Overall an amazing hotel with a few flaws but would probably choose to stay there again, just won’t bother going to the lobby bar.

We came back!|This is our new place to stay for Disneyland. Our 2nd visit here this year. We love it here. Easy walk to Disneyland. |Big shout out to Joy, at the front desk. He is sooo nice. He is such happy person, and made us feel very welcome during our stay. |Also, big thanks to Alejandra at the Market Cafe on first floor. She was by herself this morning, and worked super hard with a great happy attitude and smile. This is a good place to use your daily credit (coffee and almond croissant is delicious). ;)|Self parked in Garden Walk parking structure ($30/day). Park on 4th floor, by Starbucks, and walk towards Huckleberry's. The JW Marriott back gate is right there.

Yelp
Was here for a conference. The rooms are spacious, clean, and modern. The gym was nicely appointed. The staff were nice. The food served at the conference was fresh and delicious overall. The desserts were meh. I'd give this place a 4.5 stars only because they don't have self parking, no jacuzzi, and the water pressure was just "mid" (to quote my teen).

Yelp
I am currently staying at this hotel for one night and so far, it's been one problem after the next. -The Valet parking is $65!! before tax, as much as the Grand CA down the street, no discounted rate for Platinum Bonvoy Members, asked the front desk if I could forfeit the 1000 points (which has nearly zero dollar value) for free parking instead of points, and she said no. -We checked in around 10:30 and waited 45 minutes for our luggage, for two people, my daughter was very tired after our plane was delayed twice, we arrived much later than we had hoped -The gal at the front desk went over all of the perks including room service -We didn't eat on the plane and both extremely hungry, we called from our room because the touchless menus weren't working, she said we had to order over the phone, I called back five minutes later and she refuesed to take our order, saying it was too late, but gave no indication five minutes earlier on the phon that there was a cut-off time -There is no room service, you have to order over the phone and walk down and get it yourself, since the lady at the front desk refused to take our order, I walked down around 11:00 pm, and the bartender barked at me in front of a ton of people who were clearly being served drinks and food that he was not going to take any food orders from me. -At that point It's 11:15 PM, still no food for my daughter and I, and I go back to the front desk, she said the restaurant is now closed and that I need to go to the 11th floor to the rooftop bar, I asked her twice "Will the Rooftop Bar be open?" She said yes, and a nearby employee said, yes it's open. -I get in the elevator, get out to the rooftop with another gal she gets seated and given drinks and food and then the same waiter comes to me and says, I am sorry I can't get you food!! I told him I was sent by three different workers who ASSURED me that it was OPEN, and now you're telling me there is no where to get food? There were probably 20 plus people getting food when he was refusing to take my order. -The front desk gal also suggested I go walk over to the Garden Walk Mall at 11:30 PM at night, alone in search of food, since the hotel refused to serve us. *Absolutely deplorable. Horrible customer service and I wonder why I have wasted so much time and money at Marriott properties that don't offer you anything special, no offer for an upgrade.

Yelp
Highlights - Booked through Chase Rewards and service was superb from the time we checked in to the day we left. Got a small treat in our room upon arrival. - Rooms were clean and cleaning team was professional. Same cleaning team member every day in her note to us and thoughtful to give extra daily trash bags when we needed. - Staff at restaurant for daily breakfast that was included with our package that we had was phenomenal. Accommodating our toddler and the day of his bday, the lovely hostess surprised him at our table with a balloon tied to a Mickey plush and mini cars, since she noticed he had Cars on his shirt. - Front desk was amazing when my toddler's balloon flew away outside in the garden, he noticed from inside the hotel and opened the door to tell us he was going to get another balloon for us x2 since the next one flew away too. Totally made our day! - Close enough to walk to Disney parks approx. 15 mins, CVS, and a shopping retail/movie theater/boba/Starbucks right in the plaza next door. - Fireworks at Disneyland can be seen from the rooftop bar, staff at the bar was so accommodating to allow our family to sit and watch in a quiet area away from the bar. Improvements - Fridge that we had wasn't as cold and kept feeling like it turns off when idle. Can't freeze anything either. - Ordered room service several times. First time my gelato was only one scoop, second time they gave me two scoops when I ordered the same thing. - Valet is expensive $90/daily, but it's expected for this area and it's close enough to self park at the retail/restaurant structure next door if you wish. Tips - Highly recommend and I would stay here again.

Yelp
I've stayed here on four separate occasions. Whether you have a good experience is very random and can't be predicted. Sometimes it's phenomenal and other times, just basic. Let's face it, basic at the price point isn't great, and when the bathroom has another guest's hair in it. I know it's just hair, but, yuck. Would I stay here again? Idk, maybe... but it doesn't seem worth the five star price. And there are a lot of other options in the area.

Yelp
I really like this place!!!! We were greeted and our items were taken directly to our room. You get the vip treatment and yes I love that!!! We let the front desk know that we were getting married and he was so nice he gave us all lot of vouchers . We got a suite and it was beautiful! Very clean and details were all there! The bar area, pool, design of the hotel were extraordinary! Buffet was not good! That I would not recommend' I'd definitely return to this hotel for sure!!!

Yelp
I was in town for one night for disneyland and I wanted to stay at an updated hotel. The property is beautiful. It is a 16 minute walk or a short walk to the toy story line bus. When arriving we were welcomed and valeted our bags were taking and they held them til our room was ready. FYI valet is $65 and they tax it so an extra $10 which seems rediculous to me especially if tip is recommended. Early check in is $100 decided to not to do it since we were going to be at the park. You pay a $30 destination fee that can be credited to you if you make charges to your room. They also have some really nice perks they include like yoga and wine tasting. The rooms are nice and update. The beds are comfortable. The shower and bath are huge. I really like the aesthetic. Our room had views of the pool. Also the plugs in the rook are updated. I love that they have regular and usbc that is a plus. I stopped at the bar and ordered a pina colada and an espresso which was good. Now the food was a different story I ordered wings they were not good and the pizza was okay. The pool was beautiful and it big. There were nice setups and seating. You can also order from the bar outside. The sun doesnt shine on that side so it is chili on top of the pool not feeling heated. The pool hours are 6am-10pm which is nice considering pools usually close early. I did like that there are restaurants within walking distance. Overall location is great. The staff was nice. The property was beautiful.

Yelp
JW Marriott With Disneyland just a 15-minute walk away, I figured this was the best Marriott property to stay at for my one night in Anaheim. I arrived at 5:30am on a Friday and no one was there to greet me at valet or on the first floor. I was able to check in on the second floor then go back down to the first floor to ask them to hold my bags. When I returned in the early afternoon my room was ready. The suite was very clean with views of the city and Disneyland from large windows. It was also very quiet which is a plus. I also like that among the toiletries they provided shower caps. I spoke to staff a couple of times when I had questions or needed recommendations and they were always professional and helpful. Of course, there were a few things that I need to point out. When I checked in at 5:30am, if I wanted to check in to my room early (the room I was assigned wasn't ready, but another one that was the exact same was available) I would have to pay $200. After 10am I believe this cost lowers to $100. Also, there was no late check out available, which is never guaranteed. Even worse, the Wi-Fi was terrible. My devices would connect, but none of them had sufficient enough connection to work. Not even Outlook on my computer had a strong enough signal. And one minor inconvenience I noticed, but it didn't affect me because I mostly ate at Disneyland: the hotel food was expensive, yet there are several restaurants within steps of the hotel that are a lot cheaper. I'd rather walk the couple of minutes to another restaurant behind the hotel than order overpriced room service. If I stayed more than one night or were simply in the room longer I'm sure I'd have more time to form additional insights and opinions, but this was a good hotel for getting plenty of sleep and feeling well rested.

Yelp
This hotel is clean and the beds are so comfortable. An added bonus are the huge bathroom with tub and shower! You can also get bath bombs at the gift shop near reception. Disneyland is a short walk. Go through GardenWalk and turn left on Disney way! Really close. The only down side is the 440 dollar hold they put on your credit card so make sure if you place it on a debit there is enough funds!

Yelp
Very nice hotel with amazing art and some amazing places to eat within it. The view from the rooftop bar is over the top and the fact that you walk through a rooftop garden it's midway through the hotel is pretty cool.

Yelp
This is my favorite hotel in the area when visiting Disneyland. My friend and I stayed here for our most recent trip. Expedia messed up our reservation but the front desk was able to resolve the issue fairly quickly. We got a two queen bed room. It was spacious, had a a separate bath tub from the shower, beds were comfy, and the room was clean. They charge a destination fee but they allow to use $30/day from the destination fee to use at the hotel like breakfast, room service, to buy stuff from the store, etc which I thought was cool. Parking is only valet but in my experience this is probably the fastest valet service I ever had at a hotel. Overall I love this hotel. This place will always be my go to. Clean rooms, awesome staff, beautiful property, and a short walk to the happiest place on earth, Disneyland.

Yelp
Amazing staff. Pool bar is incredible. A bit of a hoof to the park, but easily doable.

Yelp
5 stars because WOW!! We absolutely loved everything about this hotel!! The rooftop bar had a fantastic Disney view plus amazing drinks!! We ordered food from the bar by the pool, YUM!! Like we were mind blown at how good it was! 5/5 burger! My pictures do not do it justice! The hotel smells amazing!! I loved the Himalayan sea salt hand wash in the lobby bathrooms, such a great touch!! All of the staff we came across were kind and helpful, made us feel like vip right from the get go. Our room was beautiful!! Can't wait to stay again!

Yelp
Came here for a work event and it's pretty nice! The interior was a little older than most of the Marriotts around, but still nice nonetheless. The restrooms were clean and I liked the design of the place. A few issues that I ran into though was that the parking structure smells like garbage and during this work banquet, they did not give me the correct food. I had previously ordered steak and I had a steak sign on my seat, but I received chicken. I did mention it and the server apologized and said she will go check, but never came back. I was starving so I eventually caved in and ate what was given to me. Other than that, it was an interesting time.

Yelp
This review is for the criticulture bar. I went here to meet my high school friends for a quiet afternoon meet up. First of all, the hotel is very upscale compared to other Marriot hotels I have been. Very courteous and helpful staff from the valet to the front desk and to the servers. I love how the bar is situated in the middle of the 2nd floor close to the pool. You have the option to sit outside by the pool area or inside. We opted to sit inside with the view of the pool. Food was also good. We ordered pizza, burger, salad and meatballs. Al were very tasty and presented well. Proportion size of the food are pretty good for sharing. I had a great time and will be back and will tell my friends about this newly discovered spot!

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here for a couple of nights while visiting Disneyland and I don't have any complaints. Room was clean, loved the bathroom, ordered room service twice and it was great, and the bed was comfortable. I really liked that when you go to the second floor and go outside in the garden area, there's a Starbucks and a shopping area. Definitely will be back when in the area.

Yelp
We did our first Disneyland weekend with the kids last month and stayed at the Anaheim JW Marriott. It was a nice hotel in a bland, business-like way, which was just fine by us. We appreciated that it was a reasonable walk to the parks without an obvious Disneyland mark-up. The hotel was big and busy, with a real traffic jam at the valet when we arrived, late on a Friday morning. Service was fast and professional, though, and our three-year-old got to choose a balloon while we checked in (he went with yellow, and it made our stroller easy to spot all day at the parks). There was also free face painting in the lobby on our last day (though our kid wanted it on his arm). The painter actually approached us, as there weren't other children taking advantage of her services. Our room was great, spacious and clean, with a crib for our baby and a trundle bed for our older son, who really enjoyed his set-up. We only used the room to sleep and get ready for more Disney, and it more than adequately met our needs. The valet was expensive, and there was a daily $30 destination fee. This fee was sort of offset by an equivalent food and beverage credit, which got us to eat breakfast at the overpriced hotel restaurant. Overall, though, the hotel was significantly cheaper than, say, the actual Disneyland hotel, and I'd venture that the rooms were nicer. The walk to and from the parks was a bit of a hike, through the Anaheim GardenWalk mall, but it's not like parking at the Disneyland garage gets you right up to the gates. There was also some kind of tram we could've taken if we'd been willing to deal with all the stroller hassle. I'm curious about the closer Disneyland hotel options, but I'm guessing we'll be back at the JW Marriott within the next couple of years. The kids had a blast, and the hotel made things easier for all of us.

Yelp
I stayed at the JW Marriott for a recent business trip to the area. If you want a quick summary: wow. This is the place to stay. Most JW Marriott's that I've stayed at feel a bit old. This one was built ~2020. It is modern and stylish without having the somewhat cold feeling that sometimes accompanies modern architecture. The food in the lounge is the best that I've had at any Marriott. There's an incredible amount of choices. Service is great all around with all staff members being incredibly friendly. This is one of the few hotels where the cleaning staff even smiles and says Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening when you walk by them. The room was large and featured the best bathroom that I've seen this side of the suites in Vegas. It had a soaking tub and a separate walk-in shower. There were two semi-major issues that were resolved, but that I must note nonetheless. The first issue that I had was being overcharged for parking. I was initially charged double the amount that I was supposed to be charged. They told me it was a new kind of glitchy system, which is fine, but be sure to double check your bill before checkout. The other somewhat big issue is the fact that it was kind of difficult to get them to charge incidentals to a separate card. JW Marriott uses an automatic $300 hold for incidentals, and this $300 gets refunded when you checkout minus any incidentals. The staff member working checkin was some reason very confused when I requested that incidentals be placed on a separate card. We went around in circles with her constantly asking if I planned to spend more than $300 in incidentals before she finally understood that I can't have any incidentals charged to the business card. The issues need to be noted, and I encourage all guests of this Marriott to double check their bill prior to checkout. That said, I still rate this Marriott 5 stars because it probably is the best one I've ever stayed at. The bill issues were resolved quickly, so with that, I truly checked out with a near-perfect experience.

Yelp
Our experience at the JW Marriott was truly exceptional. We were graciously upgraded to the 10th floor, conveniently located next to the executive lounge. The entire staff was exceedingly kind and accommodating, making us feel like esteemed guests throughout our stay. We were consistently impressed by the cleanliness of our room and the warm welcomes we received. Without a doubt, we plan on returning in the future. Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to the entire staff for their exceptional service.

Yelp
I'd stay here again. The staff were very helpful and the hotel was very clean. My room had 2 queen beds, a shower and separate tub. Disneyland is about a 10 minute walk away or a $7 Uber away. Valet was $59 a night with in and out. I wish I had more time to enjoy the amenities: pool, gym, restaurants, bar, etc. There's a "Starbucks" downstairs but it doesn't take the Starbucks app.

Yelp
The Hilton used to be our go-to hotel for our frequent Anaheim trips, but we were severely disappointed by the service, cleanliness, and overall quality our last few visits. We decided to start searching for a new hotel and give the JW Marriott a try. It's a newer hotel, fairly close to the parks, and near several food and entertainment options. After a wonderful 5 night stay, we can confidently say we've found our new Anaheim hotel! Room quality: In my opinion, the JW Marriott has some of the best and most tastefully designed rooms in Anaheim. They are large, and I love that the bathroom has both a large shower and a full size tub. Additionally, the lighting options, comfortable beds, and overall decor are extremely lux feeling. I wish we had had a balcony, but the hotel's rooftop bar makes up for that. Service: The service we received was exceptional. It was our anniversary during the trip, and one night we came home to a personalized note and chocolate! The maids also went the extra mile, neatly organizing our toiletries and putting loose dirty clothes into laundry bags for us. My only complaint would be that the front desk was often understaffed, leading to long waits for checkin/check out. Amenities: The hotel has the aforementioned rooftop bar which is really nice, a solid pool with cabanas, a great restaurant and bar, and a wonderful coffee shop that serves Starbucks coffees. I might have missed it, but I do wish there was a small giftshop with things like toiletries on site, but that's not a huge deal. Location: The hotel is just few blocks from Disneyland, a very walkable distance. It's also next door to the Anaheim Gardenwalk which has a lot of fun restaurants and shopping options. This was an unexpected highlight for us and made it really convenient. After our stay, we spent 2 nights at the Disney's Grand Californian hotel. While it was definitely a great experience, I actually preferred the JW Marriott room and definitely the JW Marriott price (The Grand Californian was at least 3X the price of the JW Marriott). We can't wait to go back - big thank you to the staff at JW Marriott for making our trip unforgettable!

Yelp
This is the worst Marriott I've ever stayed at. It has one of the worst service I've experienced for any hotel I've stayed at. I got the hospitality suite so that the we could have enough room for our baby and nanny to be comfortable, which obviously was very expensive. On top of that, we're gold elite. Before our stay, I got an email asking if what I needed. Nice right? Nope. I requested a microwave, baby crib, and high chair. I followed up 3 times, and they ended up saying they can't confirm until when I check in. So... they want me to cross my fingers and hope they have a crib and high chair, and if not, just leave him in the bath tub overnight I guess. Then on check out day, I requested a late checkout because our 14- month old baby's nap ends around 11.30am. Even with gold status and getting on of the most expensive suites, said they can't accommodate a late checkout because of high occupancy. I instead asked just for an hour more to 12pm so that we can get the baby settled and leave, explaining our situation. They acted like I was asking for an additional free night. Answer was no. We had to instead pack all of our stuff up and leave at 9.30am so we could get back in time for his nap. I've never experienced anything like this from a "self-proclaimed" 5-star hotel that's supposed to provide excellent service and be family oriented. I now understand the bad reviews of this place and will never stay here again.

Yelp
Honestly, if you're near Disney and traveling for work or without kids this is probably one of the better options. Was it up to JW Marriott standards? Not fully. But Disney. Reception is on the 2nd floor and while there was a wait behind 2 people who appeared to have issues I was eventually welcomed as one would expect at a JW Marriott. Upon finishing my check-in one of the Front Desk folks offered me a package of food & drink that was very kind - I didn't get the impression it was due to my Titanium status but they appeared to have 2 remaining and it was almost 10:30 PM so they gave one to me and one to another guest who spent a long time checking in. Capri-Sun (wow, that was a time warp!), a KIND bar, and a bag of M&M's. Still nice of them. The lobby bar (Citriculture) had 30-ish minutes until close and wasn't busy so I sat down for a drink and was pretty much ignored for 5-10 minutes. Then when asking if I could use my free drink voucher for a gin & tonic I was told it was applicable to a "house cocktail" or something along those lines. There was nothing on the entire expanse of the bar (probably 20+ seats) that appeared to be drink list so I was a bit perplexed and asked if I could see such list, at which point the bartender said he would accommodate me and use the voucher for my gin & tonic. Okay. Not really consistent with typical service at a JW Marriott but hey. My room was comfortable enough, though when I entered there was a very strong artificial air freshener scent that I don't know if my wife could have dealt with. The Executive Lounge on the 10th floor had a pretty good breakfast and was available for anybody with Platinum, Titanium, or Ambassador status. There's a Starbucks on the street level and the manager helping to load our bags left the back hatch open on our SUV but thankfully somebody else on the staff pointed it out before my colleague drove out otherwise our bags would have been scattered on the street and run over. Anaheim hotels are a bit unique due to the Disney factor, most reviews are hit or miss but despite its flaws I suspect the JW Marriott Anaheim Resort is still likely one of the best. I'll give it the benefit of the doubt with 4 stars.

Yelp
Was so excited when I heard a JW was opening in Anaheim. There isn't a lot of higher tier hotels around the area so was looking forward when I booked a stay Unfortunately is just falls short. Lobby is strange, main level is actually a conference floor and where people drop off valet and baggage calls. Then there's the mezzanine. Then the 2nd floor where the receiving area, bar, pool entrance & gym squished into one floor. It's a little chaotic and just misses the mark on the higher echelon Marriott lobby experience. The Lounge access, let's talk about it. If you're plat/titanium you may be disappointed. If you're looking to upgrade I would discourage you to do so. It's not worth it. Having stayed at the Spectrum, Irvine (the older one) and Anaheim. The M Lounges during their peak were top tier bites in the evening & dessert at night and ofc bfast in the morning. The food quantity and quality fell short on both days (coffee ran out and the bougie machine was not working) dry dimsum & the Residence Inn next door has better breakfast service tbh. It does look like it was a corporate decision to scale back. Even the beverages were hohum (no more wine afternoons too) Pool was actually decent size, nice loungers. Pool service was non existent on both weekend days which was a bummer. Water also gets cold at night, there was litter and used towels everywhere. They were visibly short staffed which is unfortunate. Valet is a whooping $57/night. Pro tip, park at P4 at The Garden Walk. You do need an access card to the back gates. $30 overnight and you can have an hour or 2 shaved off if you get it validated from a restaurant/store Rooms were okay, USB A and C ports! But for a new hotel the design was underwhelming (The Marriott Anaheim overhauled rooms are better). Shower pressure was almost a joke. Love that they're reducing plastic by having larger toiletries however the pump on the shampoo was broken, tried getting it replaced but no one showed so I just moved on with the wonky pump bottle. In-room dining was advertised til 11:30PM, tried ordering at 10 and the kitchen is closed Lol oh and my TV randomly turned on at 3AM at checkout day with "thank you for staying with us" lololol Gym was a winner, stepmaster, tread, 3 pelo bikes, complete set of weights. Complimentary yoga class on both weekends were no show from whoever was suppose to teach it (I wish there was at least a sticky note so guests wouldn't be well-- sticking around for nothing) Wifi was decent got some light editing done, upload was a little slow. Front desk staff were lovely when I checked out. :)

Amanda M.

Yelp
Don't stay here unless you want to pay unwanted fees that you can only use on certain days. I understand the hotel wanting to make their money back but don't do it on stupid destination fees. Why have a yoga fee? I asked to get them removed since I didn't use any of it and the front desk people were not friendly and stated no. Nice room and beautiful place but our towels were dirty and wet upon arrival and the service man stated "probably because they didn't dry all the way". BS! The towels were clearly dirty as the room was not cleaned upon arrival and there were things messed up with the room. Service is also slow. Took 2 hours to bring up an iron.

Yelp
Luxury/swanky, clean, attentive service, great location! - every staff person was SO friendly! You pass them in the halls and every employee was extremely friendly , cordial, and happy. - the best Old Fashioned drinks are in the bar! Their Woodford reserve bourbon is the key! - the truffle fries in the bar were tasty and large portioned - great location- walkable to the parks and convention center and nearby restaurants - beautiful grounds , maybe more signage to indicate where the Garden Walk and main lobby is. Cons: - the free wine tasting is a nice perk but a tiny pour. - the $25 daily resort fee is interesting. I get it but you end up paying more at the hotel to feel like you're using the fee. - I like having the coffee shop in the lobby with a good selection of on the go breakfast items (burritos, sandwiches and bagels) . However they were often understaffed. We lucked out but we did see long lines at times.

Yelp
While the hotel itself was fine overall in terms of rooms, amenities- I found the front desk (specifically a female employee working there) to be dishonest and also borderline discriminatory. When I went to request a 1 hour delayed checkout, I was quickly told that all rooms were sold out and this could not be accommodated. 30 min later, my husband approached the front desk and was told that a delayed checkout was not a problem. I found this to be absolute unprofessional and unacceptable. For this reason, I will not be recommending this hotel to any of my friends/family/colleagues ever again. Do better Marriott.

Yelp
I was quite impressed with this hotel. The disappointment I had was that it was valet only. $50 per day. The plus is you can walk to the Disneyland buses across the street to take you into the park. The customer service was superb. Everything is clean and I love it there. Tried the food at the bar with some drinks, and I was shocked at how everything was perfect. I didn't expect bar food to be the best. I could tell that the staff pride themselves with excellent service. I am looking forward to staying at this gorgeous hotel again.

Erin T.

Yelp
This was an extremely disappointing stay and I would not recommend this hotel. While the location to Disneyland was good and the room itself was well appointed, it wasn't worth the high price tag. The valet and bellhop staff were extremely friendly and provided amazing service (though they should at $65/day + taxes for valet!!). My experience at JW Marriott felt very nickel and dime and deceiving. I booked a specialty package that was more expensive than regular rate. Upon checking in, the employee was very nice but didn't mention the package. I inquired about it. He checked my membership card to ensure I qualified and then disappeared for a few minutes. When he returned, he opened a 3 set specialty package of D23 pins and said, "I was told you can pick one of these." I know that I was supposed to receive the set as the special gift advertised. I didn't say anything and selected 1 pin. The rate came with a complimentary cocktail which ended up being a card for espresso martini, which I don't drink. We were also supposed to get 10% off food and beverage, which was not applied. Housekeeping was not provided, even though 3 housekeepers were outside our room when we removed the privacy sign. The bathroom sink barely drained and there was a rotting strawberry on the floor next to my bed. At the price point, I just expect SO much more! You are better off staying at a more affordable hotel, you then at least know what you are paying for and don't feel duped by the company. Also, be aware that the daily $30 room fee can be used toward items purchased (I.e. food, drinks, internet) - up to $30/day but it is in very small writing that it resets at noon every day. So we went to Parkestry the night we checked in and the Market for breakfast the following morning. Though we were staying 2 nights, we only got $30 applied to our bill because we didn't spend money after noon the second day. Another misleading thing that you wouldn't have to worry about at other hotels. I decided to splurge and stay at JW Marriott for my birthday weekend but it really was just one disappointment after another. Stay at Hyatt or Best Western - you pay less, get more for your money, and receive housekeeping!!

Yelp
Stayed here for a work trip ... and fell in love with the hotel . The design is beautiful , the smell is wonderful and the staff provides impeccable service ! Hands down a fantastic and well thought out design and experience .

Yelp
For the bar: auto 20% on already overpriced drinks so you pay $14 for a Budweiser beer. The hotel is already expensive but takes every opportunity to rip you off, just having really average dinner and drinks is already more than the cost of your entire stay at the hotel. You will literally pay $200 for a family dinner of really average stuff and 1-2 drinks

Yelp
We got a great deal on this hotel for a Disneyland trip for our daughter's birthday. The hotel was upscale but not stiff and offered free face painting for kids in the lobby the Sunday morning we were leaving. It was an easy 15 min walk to the main entrance of Disneyland with in and out parking for those staying at the hotel. We also had $30-100 in resort credits per day which you can apply to hotel bar, dining or other amenities, including the higher speed wi-fi. Everyone was courteous and friendly and the housekeeping did an incredible job refreshing our room, towels and lots of waters for the kids each day, small things that all count when you are paying for a nicer hotel. The huge bathtub and separate shower was also great for the kids as was the roomier fridge. 5/5 would love to go back. Can't say the park view was worth it for the fireworks but the huge Halloween decorations in the garden walk and people watching made the view totally worth it for the kids.

Yelp
All rooms have soaker tub and separate walk in shower. Disneyland is less than a mile away. The private entrance to the Anaheim Garden Walk is such a nice convenient feature. Rooftop bar has a killer fireworks view! Valet is a little bit of a wait but great service nonetheless. Our company's product launch was hosted here and we were amazed by all this property had to offer!

Yelp
It's really a pity because I loved a lot of things about this resort from the beautiful property itself to the bartenders, to the people at the lounge, to housekeeping and valet. Everyone was welcoming and kind except for one person - the second person I interacted with - a guy behind the front desk: Huntington. He made such a bad first impression, that I asked my fiancé to change my hotel. He was so rude that I literally left the front desk crying behind my sunglasses. Did he care? Nope. Did he do anything to try to fix the issue? No. But worst of all - did he communicate to me like a human being to another, no. I've worked in the hotel industry before. I worked for Hyatt, and I know how to communicate with people, especially guests and especially when you're enforcing rules. You're supposed to be gentle and apologetic about it, but still enforce it. No matter what, a guest is supposed to be made to feel comfortable and at home - not stressed and disappointed. And I know I'm not white, but to be treated like less than by a young white Caucasian male who didn't even have the decency to welcome me to begin with by saying so or a smile when I work hard for a living so I can occasionally take a Friday off for a special occasion is disheartening and concerning. You don't work for the motel 6, Huntington; you work for the JW Marriott, which is supposed to be the luxury brand of the Bonvoy chain. My experience was so tainted that I'm still bothered by this situation that happened over a week ago. Disneyland (and Anaheim in general) is supposed to be a place where people can feel safe and let their inner child come out. Everyday life is stressful, and a vacation is our escape. The last thing a hotel should make you feel is unwelcome or unappreciated. And if you're having a bad day or can't handle doing your job, maybe don't work that day or choose a location far from the "happiest place on earth" and leave the Huntington area for once. If it weren't for Huntington, my experience would have been a four or five out five. But because my experience was tainted from the beginning and angers me to this day by just thinking about it, I have to give the 2 star rating. Oh, and the 3 girlfriends that joined me during the stay are absolutely disgusted by my treatment and think that maybe if I were a male, I would have been treated differently. Who knows? But I haven't felt prejudiced against in a long time and this hasn't been an issue in any of my many prior reviews. Anyway, I suggest you do stay at this resort, just make sure you avoid Huntington. There are plenty of other people who work the front desk, and I saw that during my stay. Anyone one - I mean ANYONE would be better.

Yelp
Thr location of the property is excellent. Its surrounded with so many food options and is connected to the anaheim garden walk which as so many food options. Coffee and drinks. You dont need your car to get food, just walk outside in the courtyard and pass the gate in the gardens. The gift shop needs to have more drink options and kid snack options. They do have floatable safety gear for kids in the gift shop for sale. The property grounds are very clean and elegant BUT this is a very kid freindly hotel. They do not have a spa but a very nice restaurant, bar and pool. Valet service is excellent. Blake in valet was very quick with our car and did his job to offer additional assistance with our luggage. I would not come here for a romantic gettaway or honeymoon due to soo many kids and foot traffic. It is very hard to have quiet time and alone time on the premesis because it was crowded. I do recommend the rooftop restaurant but they have very limited hours and not open every day, which was a disappointment. The beds are very comfortable, probably the best that i slept on as a marriot Bonvoy member. The shower, toiletries, bathtub and toilet have no complaints from me. No complaints about room service or front desk. Overall a pretty solid kid freindly hotel. Not too impressed with the cost for kids items in the menu, hours of the rooftop restaurant and they should offer more amenities for the price they charge to stay there. I dont know if i will return.

Yelp
Amazing hotel. Room was very clean. Theme park view was cool. Aubrea was awesome setting up the room for a birthday. Only reason i did 4 stars is because the system glitched on us. We booked 2 nights but suddenly got a call from front office in the morning that we needed to check out... i was like uhh i booked 2 nights. It was in my email and my app for days. 2 nights. Not 1 night. Then suddenly the app changed to one night. Was so strange. So I had to go down in the morning and get new room keys. $60 per night for parking is also kinda crazy but I understand. Lol

Yelp
This hotel rocks and it's located next to the convention center! I've had a lot of great times here!! Don't tell anyone that!! It's now upgraded to the JW Marriott. Still the same hotel but the prices are way higher! :( The gym is 4 stars and so are the deluxe rooms in the tower. Remind me to tell you about the one of the best nights ever in 2011!!!

Yelp
This place is great! We're here for a few days to celebrate my girls birthday's while going to Disneyland. It's a short 10-12 minute walk to Disneyland. When pulling up it's Valet only, so remember to bring cash to tip. The entrance is beautiful. The hotel has a classy, upscale vibe. Everyone was friendly. There's a good size pool, restaurants, bar, lounge, gym and outside garden. It's also connected to an outdoor mall, GardenWalk, with shops and restaurants. All super convenient! The elevator was nice and quiet. There was also an escalator available. The room was a good size for a family of 4. The bathroom was beautiful. It had a large tub and spacious walk in shower. They offer Aromatherapy toiletries. Everything was modern and we had a regular street view from the 8th floor. There's a $25 daily destination fee, plus tax, which includes: $25 daily hotel food and beverage credit, high speed internet, daily morning yoga class for 2, daily wine tasting for 2 and $15 credit at Roy's Anaheim located outside at the GardenWalk. We'll definitely come back to this hotel. It's in a great location that's quiet!

Yelp
The hotel experience was fantastic!! I am giving one star as the valet parking manager was absolutely horrible. I have never been disrespected like this. Even their own parking staff was like, " I don't know what's wrong with him I am sorry". In a nutshell, he accused me of forging a signature on a ticket to give us a discount on parking as we purchased the report pass. Instead of even questioning it, if he had any doubt he should've called the front desk and confirm it, vs giving us a hard time that the ticket should've been stamped instead of signed. He even said," for this one time I will allow it". Really??? You are doing me a favor? Show some respect as we spend good money at the JW. This really left a bad taste in my mouth as I am a lifetime platinum. The valet employees who looked like college kids were more respectful and professional then management.

Yelp
This hotel will nickel and dime you for the parking. They have done this to me not once but twice. Ya, I know shame on me for going back the second time. They charged me $38 for one evening's parking that they were not supposed to charge. Then they asked me fill out a refund request form which I did. I even tipped the young guy $5 who helped with the refund form. They never issued a refund. And some time in the evening it can take you 40 to 45 minutes to reach parking after you enter the long hotel driveway from Harbor Blvd.

Yelp
Short version: Eh, not worth the price, especially if you're paying more than $250/night. Beds are nice, hotel looks nice, points for the bathtub existing and size, mirror lighting in the bathroom, and decent smelling bathroom soap. Showers are a nightmare to try and operate, bar is more expensive than bars *inside* Disneyland, desk staff are largely useless/poorly trained, TV offerings are lackluster, and property's stated amenities such as the zen garden and outdoor spaces are exaggerated. Your local garden center store has a better setup for you to enjoy. Just returned from a second stay at this property, and it was worse than the first stay, which was a disappointment as it cost quite a bit more than last time. Upon arrival, it was clear that the desk agent was so new, I don't know if she'd received any training on the system at all. She asked if this was our first stay, when they should know we had just been at the property 3 months prior. When asking about the reason for travel and my expressing that I was taking a brief pause from real life, as I had just experienced a substantial death in my family and needed to rest and recharge, the rep clearly didn't know how to respond. Pro Tip for the hotel: don't have your desk agents pry about people's reasons for travel if they're not going to be properly trained for any and all responses. There was zero explanation of hotel amenities. Asked for a quiet room on a high floor/away from the elevators. We were given what was probably the worst room in the entire hotel, which would've made sense if we had booked on a discount site / third-party website, but nope we booked direct and are registered for the Bonvoy program. Receiving the worst room in the entire hotel was not an appropriate assignment for a full priced guest who booked direct, was staying one night, and had just told you their life was upside down and they needed a break to breathe. We were on the third floor, which is the first floor for rooms, next to the ice machine and elevators, with a ton of mechanical equipment right outside our window. You had to fuss with the impossible to navigate handle in the shower, where micro degrees of turning the handle would randomly alternate between freezing cold, somewhat cold, warm, and occasionally even hot water. If the water was almost the correct temperature and you tried to adjust it the slightest amount of pressure would get you a wildly different water temperature. - The showerhead set up and the ability to adjust them is also ridiculously challenging and not even remotely relaxing. I've stayed at much cheaper properties with far better showers that are actually enjoyable. The room was rundown and had lots of little finish and fixture damages and defects throughout the room and the bathroom. The hot water handle on the bathtub was completely loose and the entire fixture was not attached to the tun anymore, and we were afraid to operate the bathtub in case the entire handle would outright break. Trying to drain water from the bathtub generated a horrifically loud drain noise that was unexpected and unwelcome. The screeching drain noise at midnight was the opposite of relaxing. Granted, no relaxing was to be had because of the constant elevator machine noise, ice room noise and general slamming of doors and housekeeping that started a racket well before 8 AM. Also: The bar charged $18 for a Red Bull and shot of vodka. My $22 old-fashioned was bitter and not at all worth the price of admission. The hotel room thermostat would not go less than 65°, which was too warm for us. I think the most disappointing part about this hotel is it's got 80% of the right things for a great experience. Where it falls down are on basic maintenance, basic training, ridiculous shower set up that I don't understand how anyone enjoys or thinks is a good idea... this hotel is so close to greatness, it's infuriating. I also noticed after our first day we received a feedback survey and I received an email and phone call from the room manager, but this time not only were things worse than the first time, but there was no survey and no request for feedback. We also tried to self checkout but couldn't figure out how, so we checked out at the front desk. Despite telling her my room number, and handing her the key cards with the room number written on it, the desk agent failed to process our check out and accidentally checked out our neighbors who were only one night into a four night stay. I ended up having to download the app in order to process our checkout correctly. Highly recommend you book elsewhere. I will be.

Yelp
Love this resort that is a short walk to Disneyland. Our rooms had Park view and my kids really liked that as they couldn't wait to get to Disney. We also ordered room services for breakfast and it was really good, just the kids pancake had toppings they didn't tell us in advance. The only thing I didn't like was their issue with credit card machine. They were aware of their issue and were discussing with each other that their machine wasn't working. They had guests step out and try a few times to run their cards. With me, they told me I needed to call my credit card company. I had no issues with my credit card and had plenty of credit but I found that very rude from their part to have me do that when they were well and aware it was their machine. My credit card company told them there wasn't any issues on my end. It was then, their manager said yes we are having an issue with our machine. Ugh. I would stay there again because I like the resort but I did not like the check in experience. I actually had paid my entire stay when I booked the hotel so no need for all of that extra stress because of their machine being down. Not my problem. Valet services was excellent.

Yelp
We had a marvelous experience at the JW Marriott in Anahei! The customer service was OUTSTANDING! We were greeted by the most amazing employee named Scott. He made us feel special from the moment we walked in the door. His customer service continued when we saw him the next day in the executive lounge. Another person that made our stay special was Johnathon. He is an exceptional mixologist and knows his craft well. I especially enjoyed watching him teach the other bartenders. All in all the people made the difference and we were thankful! I would give this hotel my highest recommendation.

Yelp
This hotel was wonderful. I felt very comfortable there. The beds were great! The bathroom was awesome. The staff was kind and generous. I also love the Kuerig in the room for coffee in the mornings.

Yelp
Everyone was absolutely amazing and so courteous until I met the evening I guess concierge.. ordered a nice ish bottle of wine for my partner and I and commented on how inexpensive (12-23) bottle wine was now $100 relatively jokingly.. because I get it I'm in a hotel he looked at me and said" because you are in a a deluxe resort get used to it " no smile not even trying to make it funny I looked at him and said I understand that but a $12 bottle of wine really I'm not trying to blame you just commentary ... he walked out happily with his tip even though I really do not think he deserved it ..

Yelp
Really upset I had a interview for lead ballet. I got a message like around 702 letting me know about my 30 minute interview I show up early and then the manager stereotype me just because I was wearing jeans and told me that the position was filled already that he had already sent me an email about the position being filled that I didn't receive

Yelp
Great location for a Disney vacation. 20min walk to the parks. Pet friendly. Staff were all super nice. Rooms were clean, and ours had a nice view of the castle fireworks. Jett was an awesome concierge - he offered a birthday package and they decorated our room with a birthday sign, birthday balloons, cupcakes and a bottle of cider on ice to surprise my son for his 7th birthday. Room service dining actually yummy with good portions. You can also walk right out to the STC GardenWalk for plenty of restaurant options.
