Normally, one expects almost perfection from a JW Marriott. However, when we booked two rooms at the Lima Marriott for five people, one of the rooms had a leak in the ceiling that leaked into the toilet area. We called reception and they sent a maintenance person to take care of it. After two hours of dealing with this, we asked to change this room for one without a maintenance problem. They seemed reluctant to assign a new room and we had been traveling that day and would leave early the next day so this was disappointing to say the least. Two of us, there were five people in two rooms, went to the restaurant and ordered food. But this ordeal ruined the dinner of a third person who was to join us. They did finally offer an upgrade to an ocean view room, but it was night already, and we were leaving at 6 am the next morning so not so great a deal after wrestling with this problem for almost two hours. So we asked that they provide a breakfast for the two people in the room with the leak and they did provide the breakfast but only after calling for approval which kept taking up our time. This process took about 30 minutes, and we had to call back to find out if the bellman and someone with keys to a new room was coming anytime soon. Finally we were moved.||Let’s talk about room number 2 where three people were staying. We had a city view and oh was the view awful! When we first began to settle for the evening, a blue screen on the TV came on which said something about “connecting a device.” When we turned off the TV, the blue screen came on again after 5 minutes and we turned it off again. Then around 3 am the blue screen came on again and woke people up. When I reported this to the front desk people, they did not write it down or appear to report it. So much for blue screens in the middle of the night coming on…right?||I will give it two stars because the food was excellent, the water was potable, the place was clean, and gym was phenomenal.
