JW Marriott Hotel Mexico City

"How did it strike you on arrival? The beautiful lobby, filled with plush carpets and comfortable sofas, has exactly the kind of classic luxuries you'd expect from a JW Marriott. Nice. What’s the crowd like?Business travelers and older couples who trust in name-brand luxury and prefer to be in the upscale neighborhood of Polanco, also home to the Museum of Anthropology and the National Auditorium. The good stuff: Tell us about your room. The rooms are spacious, with solid dark wood furniture, cushy carpets, and floor-to-ceiling windows. We’re craving some deep, restorative sleep. They got us?The pillow-top mattresses and down duvets make for an incredibly comfortable night's sleep. How about the little things, like mini bar, or shower goodies. Any of that find its way into your suitcase? The room has everything you'd imagine from a large chain hotel. Please tell us the bathroom won’t let us down.Large marble bathrooms are outfitted with a shower and Aromatherapy Associates amenities. The Presidential Suite is the only room with a Whirpool tub (that fits two). Maybe the most important topic of all: Wi-Fi. What’s the word?Wired Internet is free but Wi-Fi comes at an extra cost—how '90s! Room service: Worth it?Room service is 24/7 and offers a selection of Mexican and international favorites. Anything stand out about other services and features? Whether it’s childcare, gyms, spas, even parking—whatever stuck with you.The rooftop has a heated outdoor pool and hot tub with beautiful views of the city. Bottom line: worth it, and why?Impeccable service and attention to detail are almost always guaranteed at a luxury hotel chain like the JW Marriott." - Susannah Rigg

The staff in this hotel was wonderful. The hotel itself fine, but did not feel like a 5 star hotel. I expect a high level of detail, luxury and style in a 5 star hotel which this hotel did not possess. For example, there was no bathrobe, minimal lighting in the bathroom, no business office lounge and a fairly average room. The pricing seems exceptionally high for what we received here. I would still give the hotel 4 stars for the staff, location, cleanliness and Corsi Restaurant.

Overall a great place to stay. The hotel staff were superb from the bellhops, front desk, maids, room service and concierges. If I had any issues with anything it was the bar in the lobby. Their bartenders cheat you on the amount of alcohol they pour in your drinks. First drink I ordered was a Bloody Mary and didn’t taste any bloody vodka. Two days later went and ordered an Old Fashioned in a five inch glass with a huge ice cube which wasn’t to the top. I wish I would’ve taken out that little ice berg and shown it to the bartender. My drink would’ve been around 2 ounces. Buyer beware.

We just returned home from an amazing trip to Mexico, focusing most of our time on Mexico City. We usually traveled to the popular coastal resorts and thought it might be time for us to learn more about the "real"Mexico. We are pleased to report that Mexico City did not disappoint, and neither did the JW Marriott. ||Our trip was perfect from the very beginning. Since we had never been to Ciudad de Mexico, one of the largest cities in the world, we had no idea what to expect at the airport. Rather than hunting around for an Uber location, we contacted the Marriott and scheduled a private driver to pick us up. Edson was our driver and he was extremely polite and accommodating. A perfect way to start our trip.||Our room was what you would expect from a JW Marriott; clean, well maintained, bottled water always available, nice views and super comfortable beds. Plus the location was perfect for Uber pickups as we spent a lot of time exploring the sights and food of Mexico City. ||One of our favorite day trips was a visit to the ancient of Teotihuacan, home to Mexico's incredible pyramids. Again, we booked a private guide and driver through the hotel and were not disappointed. Our guide, Alberto Gonzalez, did a phenomenal job of making sure we maximized our time at the pyramids while providing much education about the history of the area. ||We must also commend the bar area in this hotel. Very comfortable with some great local talent playing in the evenings. Polanco was a welcoming and safe area to stay so walking around, even in the early evenings was no worry. All in all, the JW Marriott provided a perfect all-around experience for our first time adventure to Mexico City.

Frequent traveler to CDMX for business. Platinum Bonvoy member. Nice hotel with updated rooms. Standard rooms are small. Suite are decent. Staff can be a bit of a hit and miss. Lounge is disappointing for the level of hotel. Quite small. Breakfast options in lounge are quite basic. Good value if you have a corporate rate, otherwise it seems over priced.

The entire JW team was on a mission to please for the entire stay. Janete made us feel like royalty at every encounter. All staff went out of their way to ensure we felt personally catered to. Excellent location and nice renovation since my last stay in 2017.

This place is great. Lobby is gorgeous, staff very courteous. Rooms and room amenities are not 5 star and are somewhat dated but otherwise awesome. Also top notch security

Very large, clean and comfortable rooms are probably the focal point here. I stayed here twice for business back in Dec 2024 and Feb 2025. In terms of living comfort, rooms are very spacious and clean. Functional aspects were great with a very large TV supporting your own streaming services (such as YouTube/Netflix). UBS sockets scattered around the room and a good selection of toiletries. Great views when room is facing pool side. Very friendly staff and excellent location. I felt very safe walking around Polanco (considered a posh part of town) even at night. There are a great selection of restaurants in the area at very reasonable prices and the hotel is situated within a leisurely walk to key attractions like the Museum of Anthropology & Castle Chapultepec. Only one outdoor pool but it is heated and sits in a nice terrace area. The one major let down is that the gym is extremely tiny so feels very crowded at busy times. Despite this overall positive review, this hotel is very expensive and were it not my company covering the costs, I would not pay my own money to stay here. I'm sure there are similar nice alternative hotels at a much cheaper price but if you got cash to splash, this is a very comfortable hotel.

Stayed on 16th floor so had privacy. Bed very comfy and they were on top of making of room plus turndown. Sun to Pool area is quite blocked by the architecture. 24h access gym is basic but had enough treadmills when busy in morning. Spa/massage was OK - did a 80m deep tissue and was fine. Really easy walk to nearby Polanco restaurants/bars.

Yelp
Stayed for five nights in March 2022 with my family. One of the best luxury properties we've stayed in, and my favorite hotel in Mexico City. Although the nightly rate is on the higher end, the JW still offers a great value: included with my platinum Marriott membership, we got free breakfast, a suite upgrade, and free afternoon snack/light evening meal at Xanat Restaurant. Pros: - one of the best locations in the Polanco neighborhood, walking distance to Bosque de Chapultepec, Museo Nacional de Antropología, Museo Tamayo Arte Contemporáneo, and other attractions; upscale restaurants, cafes, bakeries, and bars (Pujol, Limantour, Tout Chocolat), and other amenities (laundromat, convenience store, etc.) Lots of trees and greenery in the area, making it a relaxing oasis in the city. We were also able to walk to the Condesa neighborhood from here. - wonderful service, from the concierge, room service, restaurant, and front desk. Friendly and welcoming. - nicely appointed rooms. Impeccably clean, spacious, and extremely comfortable beds. We were on the 19th floor with a fabulous view of the park and across the auditorium. Water constantly replenished in the room, and we even got a welcome gift with snacks, a bottle of wine, and a teddy bear for my toddler. - nice heated pool on the 7th floor, with complimentary refreshments. There is a gym on the 7th floor as well. - beautiful property on the whole. Lobby, restaurant, and common areas are meticulously maintained, with fresh flowers changed daily. Cons: - one of the more expensive options, but we've also stayed at the W Hotel next door, and the JW is a much better overall value. - the 19th floor lounge was under construction during our stay. As a consolation, we were able to take afternoon snacks at the restaurant, but it would have been nice to have access to the lounge. - while friendly, service at the restaurant can be slow, especially at breakfast. Not sure if the service or the kitchen is slow, or if they are simply understaffed. Loved our stay here and looking forward to coming back!

Yelp
A top notch hotel in Polanco. We were here for 5 nights and enjoyed every minute. My husband is an Ambassador with Bonvoy and we got a great upgrade + delicious daily breakfast! It was an extensive menu and we could order whatever we wanted which was excellent! So many tasty dishes! The room was spacious with great views all around. The spa and pool area was such a nice retreat in bustling CDMX. Worth having to wind down each day. The location is perfection with lots of delicious restaurants and bars walking distance from the hotel. We felt safe as experienced the Polanco neighborhood. Definitely would stay here again!

Yelp
I truly hate giving this beautiful hotel 3- stars. However a recent stay here for business warrants this review. This hotel is seriously understaffed. To begin, The JW Marriott Hotel MEX , ( Santa Fe) knew that our large group of 12 plus were coming; there was ONE person checking in customers when we arrived. This was not the agents fault; it's managements fault. This was a busy weekend as it was for the upcoming NFL weekend being played in Mexico City for the 49ers & the AZ Cardinals. The hotel , ( from what I could tell) , seemed very crowded. Our check in took almost 45 minutes. My room , which was booked weeks in advance, was originally a King / City View / Club Level was downgraded to a 2 DBL bed room. I did not notice this , ( as the agent didn't say that when I checked in), until I was in my room and went to the club and my key didn't work. I could not handle trying to maneuver that line in the lobby to speak to him and attempted to call from the phone , ( which didn't work ) so I jumped on my Bonvoy app chat and advised him that since I was alone I would not make it a thing , BUT I wasn't backing down from the club access. There was no apology and I waited quite awhile to get a nod on the club access being allowed. I had now joined my co workers for drinks & dinner in the lobby. There was one person working a crowded bar and lobby dining area. Many of us had not eaten since earlier that morning when we had departed AZ so we ordered food thinking it may take awhile, due to my allergies , there was one thing I could order : fish tacos. I figured it would be good since we are in Mexico City and it's a JW Marriott. Well, my house margarita took almost 30 minutes to get ; many of our group from our high top table had to walk to the bar and remind the one clearly stressed bar tender / waiter about our drink order and get our drinks. Where as we all felt bad, we still wanted our drinks. My food order took over an hour and a half. It came out and truly was awful. It was a cod or some other fried maybe once frozen ? Looking plank of fish simply placed on a uncooked flour tortilla with some slaw. I tried to eat it because I was starving!!! It didn't taste right and to be honest the last place I wanted to be ill is Mexico. Besides this was a work trip and I am needed ! I could NOT be sick! The chef appeared maybe 20 minutes after I received my food , yet others at the table of 9 , had not , despite that they had arrived and thus, ordered way before me , had not received food! I didn't have the heart to tell this overwhelmed staff how bad this food was. I also wanted a wine after my initial margarita ; this bar has hundreds of bottles displayed and I figured they must have a great wine list. NOPE. There is a 'white ' and a 'red'. That is it. There is a Italian restaurant on property; it was open to 2300 the night we arrived .. then closed on Sunday. Open til maybe 1900 on Monday ? So we never got to enjoy or try that restaurant. The Executive Club was actually very nice and after not being able to get in the night I arrived, the door seemed always open thereafter! They had a great breakfast; appetizers in the evening and honor bar. My room, although not what was originally booked and quite small was nice. The bathroom was tiny and a weird set up. I did run out of hot water in the shower two different days. This JW Marriott is in a affluent area and close to nice eateries that are nicer than what you have here on property with better service , ( try the Westin next door!). There is a upscale mall with a gourmet grocery store next door too!

Yelp
The service in this Hotel is Top Notch, the staff is on top of their game. The beds are comfortable. The only issue I have is while at my stay we took a tour to Teotihuacán, the tour was done by the hotel drivers. The driver knew 5 minutes worth of information, it was pathetic the driver knew nothing and had no business doing tours it doesn't look good for the hotel to rip customers off this way. Everything else it's one of the nicest hotels to stay at.

Yelp
Everything about this hotel was fabulous, probably one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at. Be prepared to tip the guys that take luggage to your room or call you a taxi. Service was top notch, everyone was friendly and helpful and spoke English. The restaurant has a mostly American menu which is good when you need a break from Mexican food. There is also a dinner buffet with a decent selection, and 24 hour room service with a decent selection as well. It was an added bonus there is a pool - I guess most hotels in the area do not have pools. The terrace was small but I was able to get a few hours of sun during my free time while I was there for a full week business trip. The renovated rooms were very clean and nice. The bathroom is spacious. The bath towels were large and soft. There's a large walk-in shower but there's just a stationary glass pane which allows water to pool on the floor, soaking the bath mat. The room was also spacious and had a small decorative couch and a desk as well as plenty of counter space. There is plenty of lighting inside the room in addition to the tall windows with a beautiful view of the city. There is a mini bar with cold beverages but there is no refrigerator or microwave in the room for your own stuff - I guess that's what room service is for. Bottled water was replenished daily - 4 small complimentary bottles every day. The Polanco area was walkable, seemed very safe. Lots of nice dining options nearby, as well as Starbucks across the street, and a nearby park and small grocery store just a few blocks away.

Yelp
Genuinely the best hotel I've ever had the pleasure of staying inside. Our room was newly renovated. The service was amazing, everyone was friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. The view of Mexico City was mind blowing. Also, if converting pesos to dollars, it's more than affordable. This is in the Polanco neighborhood, and if I'm ever lucky enough to come back, we'll absolutely stay here again. You can easily walk to and from some amazing places. Mexico City has so much to offer, and it's an easy flight!

Michael H.

Yelp
The JW Marriott - Polanco did not impress me at all, Xanat Restaurant had the crappiest pizza I've ever had - spotty covering with a light sprinkling of cheese. The coffee machine required an engineering degree to operate; most unusual machine I've seen. The bed was way too soft - mushy. No microwave in the room. The WiFi was intermittent and impossibly slow. The room thermostat did not work; regardless of where it was set, the room stayed between 22C (day) and 21C (night). Room service - to replenish the bottled water and the coffee and tea supplies was sporadic at best; missed me three (3) days. I ordered bottled water and was charged for it on my final bill, despite being part of "normal service". I have had better hotel time at Best Western Plus Hotels (no affiliation) in the USA. How the Marriott can charge their excessively high room rates for such a place I do not understand.

Yelp
Amazing hotel, service and one of the nicest bartenders I have met in Mexico City. I have been to this Marriott two times this year and it never disappoints. The first time my girlfriend and I spent the night we were greeted by the bellman and staff that were super attentive and profesional. We were both super hungry when we arrived at the Marriott that we eat at there buffet. The chilaquiles were made from scratch right in front of you. They were AMAZING! Not to mention the fresh juices, muffins, croissants, fruit bar, and plenty of your usual eggs and sausage for breakfast items were all extremely tasty. The hotel bar they have next to the lobby is another hidden gem. I do not remember the bartenders name but he makes the best Cadillac margaritas and is extremely nice and knowledgeable about Polanco and Mexico City. My girlfriend and I will definitely be back to visit soon.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I travel to Mexico City 4-5 times per year. The last few times we stayed in the W Hotel that is directly next to JW Marriott Hotel. We decided to give JW Marriott a chance since we love the location but we wanted to see and stay in a different hotel. Beautiful hotel and great location... When we arrived we were greeted with a nice friendly smile from valet to the front desk with an easy check in process. Our room was exceptional and clean. I was very disappointed that our last evening we decided to stay in as we were tired from the day and when we decided to get room service that is 24 hours when trying to place our order no one ever picked up the phone to help. You really can't call the front desk or any other extension as phone only gives you one option for all services. I can understand if they are busy but a tried calling numerous times without being successful. I must of tired 5-6 times with in a period of 90 minutes. At the end we ended up going out for dinner since we were not able to order room service. To me customer service is a huge deal and that is why I have to give the 3 start. No doubt that is a beautiful hotel with a great location. But they need to work on their efficiency on some departments.

Yelp
Overview The JW Marriott México City is a great hotel and provided more than expected in most all areas. My favorite part of the hotel was the staff. From the concierges to the front desk staff to the Executive Lounge staff to the random staff stationed around the main level there always seemed to be a staff person right behind you when you needed something. The service at this hotel was superb and alone enough to earn it a great rating. Location This hotel is in the Polanco neighborhood which is a business district and had a quieter more suburban feel to it. Its a quick Uber ride to many attractions though and a short walk to anything in Chapultepec Park. On its own Polanco is not a boring neighborhood with safe running routes and streets of great bars and restaurants all in walking distance. There is shopping as well in walking distance. Room Room 2008 was conveniently one floor above the Executive Lounge. The room was pretty average, but nicely appointed. The view was good and the room quiet. The shower was a walk-in. There were outlets everywhere and the internet was fast. Executive Lounge The lounge staff were superb and totally went above and beyond expectations. Staff would proactively come around the lounge to refill wine and waters. If you were seen making your own coffee staff would approach to finish the job and deliver it to your table. The breakfast and dinner food presentations were large. I enjoyed all the breakfasts which over my 4 day stay consisted of French toast, eggs, soufflé, cactus, bacon, much more and the freshest squeezed juices ever. Dinners were hamburger night, pasta night, short ribs, salads, excellent desserts and more. Free bottled water and coffee was available 24/7. Pool/Gym There is a rooftop pool, though it only has sun from around 1100-1500. The pool and hot tub are both outside on the 7th floor. Unfortunately the large tower of rooms and a pedestrian bridge shade the deck completely after 1500. This made it a little hard to schedule some sun time into my day as one typically is away from the hotel midday. The hotel could do better here with bar / snack options on the roof. The roof deck was also the only place a staff person was visibly missing. Towels and very comfortable chaise lounge chairs are provided by an attendant in the gym area. The gym was small and crowded with equipment. The equipment though was high end and including free weights, a cable machine and many machines.

Yelp
I stayed at this property just for one night but this is enough to say that has been one of the best experiences in hotels I've ever had. Staff service is extraordinary. Hotel clean, great ambience and in perfect conditions. We were upgraded to executive floor because of my husband's level at Marriott Rewards and we were able to have dinner snacks at the Executive Lounge 19 floor. David the waiter was sooooo good, polite and helpful. Room was perfect, size, big bathroom and several amenities like toothbrush, toothpaste, etc which you usually need to request. We also had lunch today at Xanat restaurant it food excellent. Good portions and flavors. I definitely recommend the place, great location, views, of course if this is the area you want to visit.

Yelp
Stayed here during my visit to CDMX and overall, it was pretty good. When we first arrived, they were doing construction, and there were fumes that smelled awful when we got to our room. They offered to change our room, but we were I. The middle of getting ready for a dinner reservation, and declined. When we came back from dinner, not only did the room no longer smell, but they had delivered me a slice of chocolate cake and balloons since we were celebrating my birthday that weekend. We had a park view room, and the views were incredible. It's definitely the prettiest shower I've ever taken. As part of our floor, we had access to the executive lounge, which had complimentary snacks and meals, as well as beverages. One strange thing- wine was free but beer was not. We happened to be here the weekend of the Mayweather/McGreggor fight. Not only did the bar show the fight for free, they also had free snacks. I hope to come back to CDMX sometime soon, and I would definitely consider staying here again. Great location in a safe area, and the hospitality of the staff was top notch.

Yelp
My stay at this hotel is hands down one of my best experiences ever! The property is immaculate, clean and sexy. The staff and hotel personnel have been extremely hospitable and knowledgeable. Everyone from concierge to spa to lounge services have literally gone above and beyond to satisfy my accommodations and requests. I've even enjoyed the incredible amenities including the spa, hot tub, executive lounge and fitness area. I'm usually skeptical when I read other yelp reviews but I don't think the reviews can truly articulate the awesomeness of this hotel. I would highly, highly recommend booking this hotel if you're visiting Mexico City. I would also like to give special kudos to Liliana (Front Desk Supervisor) for helping to make this stay so amazing. Thank you again for such a memorable experience

Yelp
Wonderful hotel with outstanding service in an ideal location in Mexico City! The food at this Marriott is surprisingly good.

Foodie M.

Yelp
A popular hotel primarily as it has great Location, easy accessibility but unfortunately a dated property. Expected better from a JW property. The staff is quite attentive especially in the executive lounge and have a well prepared evening spread.

Yelp
Enjoyed a one night stay in this hotel during a weekend trip to CDMX. Upon check-in, there was a trolley of sweets (jelly beans, M&Ms, gummy bears, etc) with charming little paper cups to fill them in. Wifi is free in the lobby and 252 pesos/day for up to 6 devices up in your room. The room was spacious and beautiful. The view was very underwhelming during the day but gorgeous at night. Service is excellent here. In the evening, a lady came in to make the bed and drop off chamomile lavender chocolates, which were delicious. The bathroom is spacious, but the shower is a bit weird b/c it doesn't close all the way. Love the lavender theme of their toiletries. Needless to say, this hotel is situated in a lovely part of town with a lot of shopping and dining just a 10 min walk away.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of staying here for one night this week while on business. I was able to utilize a corporate rate to bring the cost down to reasonable. This property is expansive and is located in the heard of the Federal business district. I have stayed in this area many times but this was my first visit to the JW. Service is impeccable, the property is beautiful, and the rooms are comfortable whether you are working or on vacation. There are plenty of on property dining and socializing options as well as a number of, walk to, dining options as well. With my status I had access to the Executive lounge. It is well equipped for both dinner and breakfast. So my expense account was happy. Service in the club is beyond professional and pleasant. I showed at opening in the AM for a coffee on my way to the gym. I was not allowed to pour my own coffee to go! As a bonus it was a clear AM so the volcano was visible. The staff dimmed the lights in the lounge so I could take a picture. The infinity pool/ spa/ fitness center on the 7th floor is beautiful and I wished I could have spent more time there. The only ding is the Gym/ weight area. It's as if it was an afterthought. The area is small, there is no room to stretch, and the dumb bells are stacked off to the side so you have to carry them to the benches. The only room for the benches is smack dab in the middle of small area so while you are lifting while people are right next to you, safety issue. Other than this 4.5 stars!! Would definitely plan another stay here when my business travels take we back to MEX.

Yelp
Excellent hotel. It is little pricey, but it is very well located in an area (Polanco) that is full of restaurants, cafes and bars within walking distance. Service at the hotel is first class, they have a full gym, sauna, steam room, pool, and massage rooms. Their Concierge Lounge located in the 19th floor is also top class with outstanding service and excellent selection of foods for breakfast and light dinner. Alcohol beverages are complimentary, and they always have a good selection. All of the facilities are in very good condition, and they have a large lobby bar and restaurant.

Brian ..

Yelp
Great service and a real 5 star property. Highly recommend over St Regis and Four Seasons based on safe location, food and beverage, walkable, service is outstanding. I've stayed here dozens of times and the others as well but JW beats out the rest hands down.

Jeff T.

Yelp
This hotel is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. From the moment we arrived for our anniversary weekend, the staff was so nice and kind. Beautiful location across from Chapultapec park and just a few blocks from the rows and rows of shops and restaurants of Polanco. Dante Brussa and Parole Polanco, excellent higher end food. Loved it. I called the hotel a few days before and asked for a nice quite room due to me and the wife coming for our anniversary. Tamara put me on hold and returned to tell me that she got us an upgrade to a great room with a view. So when we got to room 2130 see photos but lets just say, awesome. Super comfy beds, great hot water in shower, big tv with Netflix and cable. Not to mention across the street from Starbucks. I simply loved our quick stay here just two nights but so rad.. when I come back to CDMX, I'm staying here again. Highly recommend. thanks for great stay.

Yelp
This place is awesome! It is first time to Mexico city and I am here with several coworkers on business. Every one of the staff have been incredibly friendly and sincerely willing to make our stay as comfortable as possible. I have eaten breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant, Xanat-- and I was pleasantly surprised at quality and flavor. The staff have had great recommendations for food and sights. The beds and pillows are very comfortable and the rooms are kept extremely clean and tidy. The pool, jacuzzi, and fit ess center will not disappoint you, as they are also above par. I would recommend this hotel to couples, families, solo and business travelers. A comfortable home away from home!

Yelp
Overall our stay was great- everyone was very friendly Concierge insisted on us using the hotel car & said that taking cabs was dangerous, but we did not feel that way at all/ the price difference is insane especially knowing how much the drivers are makings vs how much you're paying. Beautiful hotel/ convenient location & Awesome barber a few doors down.

Bruce G.

Yelp
Not quite luxurious. We usually stay at the st Regis but this time we decided to stay in Polanco. As we have stayed at JW Marriotts before we trusted their website claiming luxury. The room is somewhat small and the bedding just ok. And no bathtub. The pool has been cloudy the whole time here. Not very inviting. The location and the service is excellent. It's surely not bad, just not luxury.

Yelp
This is different than most JW's we have stayed in as it is a bit more traditional. The service is amazing. David in the executive lounge kept us coming back for great seri as. We will be back soon!

Yelp
Great Service, beautiful hotel, If you are staying in Mexico City, this is the hotel you want to stay in. Lourdes from the front desk was extremely helpful and professional every time I need assistance. Janette in the morning and David at night were very attentive and helpful in the executive lounge. I stayed there over 60 nights and they provided amazing service each and every day. Kudos to your hotel for hiring quality employees.

Yelp
Right in the heart of Palanco, the JW delivers anything you could want and very safe. Had a room on the gym level and had pool front access and nice patio directly overlooking park and concert hall. Very courteous staff and they are everywhere. For those of you like me who need caffeine especially after Mexican nights out, there is both one in the lobby and a huge one directly across the street. Saks, an upscale breakfast place with the best corn muffins God has ever created, is very close within walking distance as are 100 other restaurants. This area puts anywhere in LA to shame, and feels very Manhattan. Viente (20) is another lounge/bar that is must visit.

Yelp
Diego in the Fitness Center made my day! He greeted me so warmly early this morning & offered me fresh coffee which I really needed! It's such a pleasure to meet such helpful & friendly staff members who make me feel so comfortable away from home. The room is fine & the lobby is gorgeous! I can't wait to return to this wonderful hotel!

Yelp
Convenient location, and overall great service. My only complaint is the Wi-Fi service, it was not very reliable.

Yelp
Stayed here last Friday through Monday for New Years and I was very unimpressed with pretty much everything. For starters I was staying with a friend who has platinum status and they didn't have any room upgrades. Ok that's fine, I get it. Second they said we could use the executive lounge on the 19th floor. Breakfast options were dismal. Happy hour wasn't any better. There were two refrigerators with cold drinks. One was filled with beer but was locked and the main lady working there said "you have to pay for that." The female server who was there every breakfast and happy hour was very rude. On Saturday we left the hotel to do sightseeing and when we returned in the evening our room keys did not work. We went to the front desk to see what was going on and they didn't even offer a simple apology regarding their mistake in checking us out. Went back to our room then the lounge and our key card for lounge access wasn't working. At this point I was very annoyed. I want to wrap up here so I have to warn guests considering this hotel that the mattresses are very old and very uncomfortable. Sheets felt very old as well. Overall not a good experience at all.

Yelp
I stay in a lot of hotels for business - Hilton (Diamond), SPG (Platinum) - and I have to say that not only is this hotel awesome..but they have gone out of there way to make sure the experience we have had is fantastic. This includes; concierge desk that is actually helpful, executive lounge that is well stocked with staff who are attentive, bellboys/doormen are absolutely gracious and helpful. In my instance we celebrated an anniversary here. The staff went all out to make sure my wife's experience was second to none, truly going above and beyond (examples includes an anniversary card signed by all the staff, when we came in from our days adventure, they had 6 staff members with flowers in hand to wish us happy anniversary) The room was great, the view amazing...my wife used the pool and loved it... Will definitely return...hats off to Polanco JW Marriott - definitely won a fan - and will be telling everyone else to stay here

Yelp
By far my favorite hotel in Mexico City. The decore is beautiful with fresh roses daily. The room is super cozy and beautiful. The Staff is super attentive and informative. The concierge is super helpful, making reservations for us to any place around Polanco. Overall, it is a wonderful relaxing place to stay

Yelp
Great service. Great staff. Great concierge. Julio at concierge assisted us, gave us a tour of the property on arrival and befriended our daughter instantly. Janette in the executive lounge served our daughter a fresh, hot omelette everyday. And Indira, also in the executive lounge, offered great service. The amenities are exquisite! Pool is clean and calming. We loved the neighborhood - walked around late at night without troubles. We will certainly be back.

Yelp
I love this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were excellent. They were large and comfortable and the pressure in the shower was amazing. I dream about it. I appreciated that they gave us all the bottled water we wanted. They worked to find a room for us when we arrived before check in. Also Alberto at the concierge was extremely helpful in getting us tickets for things, even waiting until our arrival to pay in cash so we could avoid the extra credit card fee. When I return to Mexico City, I'd definitely stay at this hotel.

Yelp
This hotel is located in a posh area of DF and is a very nice property. The staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs. The executive lounge is sizable and offers a nice selection of drinks and snacks. The staff were truly the highlight of this property and their hospitality and care were truly unparalleled, as I have come to expect from Marriott. One person in particular, Janete, who we saw daily in the executive lounge for Breakfast, was extremely helpful. She took time out of her busy day to give us directions to some local sights, and even brought a special plate of machaca for my mother to try. Her hospitality truly made our stay THAT much better. I hope management will recognize this note and let her know that we truly appreciated her. I will definitely be staying here again when my travels bring me back to Mexico DF.

Yelp
Without going into too much detail, ...my friend and I were staying at this hotel during a work trip, and experienced an unfortunate event during our time in the city. I can't speak highly enough about how helpful the JW Marriott staff was in assisting with all the logistics that we needed to handle as a result of the event. They made several phone calls on our behalf (our Spanish isn't the greatest), helped make all necessary arrangements and sympathetically took care of us during the process. Thank you a million times JW Marriott staff!

Yelp
Great location and nicely appointed rooms. Staff is attentive and overall A+. The lounge on the 19th floor not only has the best views, it also has delicious food and wine if you are an executive member of Marriott.

Yelp
This is a very nice property but the real reason I give it 5 stars is because of the outstanding staff. From the housekeepers to the doorman, front desk, everyone is helpful and so friendly. My company rented probably 100 rooms and everyone I came In contact with while there enjoyed their stay.

Yelp
Had a great time staying at this hotel during a two day layover. The buffet breakfast was great - wide selection of fruits, meats, hot foods and also an omelette station. The price was decent too considering all that was available. Our room had a great view of Mexico City and we could see the national auditorium as well, which is right across the street. You can go over there and catch a city tour bus as well. Great location and a wonderful stay. I will definitely come back the next time I'm here.

Yelp
Always a fan of Marriott and a rewards member and never had been disappointed until now. The actual hotel and rooms are amazing and breathtaking, the service exceptional. My disappointment is that I booked this room with months in advance with specific instructions for a double bed room as I was traveling with my son, at arrival and check in, they stated that they only had a king size bed room and the only way of accommodating 3 people is to upgrade to a junior suite, we didn't have a choice and had to accept the additional $130 per night and their response was that double bed is not guaranteed. (really?) Also, most of the hotels in the area, the parking is complimentary but here there was a $12 US per overnight charge. ( we did stay at another hotel for 5 nights 2 blocks away and they did not charge parking). I would be more customer service oriented and not try to up sell services underhandedly, come on Marriott, you are better than that.

Yelp
this is my favorite hotel in the D. F. The rooms are comfortable and have honor bars (great for refrigerating meds, if you need to like I do). the staff is always very friendly and extra helpful. it is located near handy shopping and restaurants. The restaurant in the hotel serves excellent food (try the tortilla soup, made the right way with tomato and not chicken broth). I can't think of one thing I want from a hotel experience that the JW Marriott doesn't provide.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel with really accommodating staff. However... They charged me for Internet despite being a rewards member and they automatically included tips for housekeeping and the bell boy. I'm a good tipper but I never even saw a bell boy. I had two big suitcases and no one offered to help...

Yelp
We visited for several days over the Christmas holidays in 2016. Our room over looked the park, was very comfortable with a huge bathroom, and had awesome views. The TV service even included Netflix. We used the Executive Lounge daily for breakfast and dinner with an excellent selection of buffet items and wines. During the mornings Miguel provided perfect service while David and Vicky served us evenings. We were able to book tours and transportation through the Concierge. We highly recommend this hotel and are planning to return for another visit.

Yelp
We were unable to stay here because of a near death in the family. Our airline and airport transfer company both were understanding and gave us a credit (airline) and a complete refund (Mexico Airport Transfers - you guys are the bomb and I will definitely be telling everyone I know about you). It was only JW Marriot who behaved like a big bully. I tried calling both the 800 number in the US and the hotel itself to ask if they would be so kind as to return our room deposit. They would not. Given the amount of traveling we do in our lives, I will certainly not look for a JW Marriot ever again. This after spending 30 days at the JW Marriot in Mumbai, India. I was deeply disappointed and didn't pursue it further, as it left such a bad taste in my mouth. I just thought everyone should know how poorly they handled the situation. I wish I had taken the name of the person who I dealt with...she should go back to training. So insensitive and rude.

Yelp
One of the best of Marriott stays I have had. I am an elite member & have not had such great service before. Was met at the door & taken to my room - no front desk & as we walked to room a full description of all the features of the hotel. A large, well furnished, very comfortable room with one of the best beds.
