The staff went out of their way to ensure a perfect stay for us - always with a smile!||From the delicious meals crafted by chefs Sa, Enzo, Mohan, and Fattih - who went above and beyond to cater to our vegan diet - to the wonderful staff on the restaurant floors (Riley, Bow, Yai, Pooch, Suri, Pla, Yoyo, Ann, and Rachy, among many others we haven’t forgotten!) and Fin and the rest of the beach team, we want to say a HUGE THANK YOU.||In addition, our fantastic maid Fon kept our room spotless at all times. Our kids especially loved returning in the afternoon to find those adorable towel animals on our bed - thank you!||During our stay, our daughter turned six, and Ahmad from guest relations suggested celebrating her birthday. Of course, we agreed - and we couldn't have been happier. The resort made it a day to remember with decorations in our room, wonderful gifts, great food, and a delicious cake. To make it even more special, the cake was served by none other than Elsa from the cartoon ‘Frozen,’ much to our daughter’s delight.||The owners of this resort are very fortunate to have such great, warm, and talented people running their daily operations. With the combination of top-tier service, immaculate surroundings, and extensive activities for both adults and kids, JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort & Spa is a destination we wholeheartedly recommend.||Once more, thank you for a great vacation!

Overall, not a bad place, but in need of renovation and staff training. We stayed here for 9 nights in Feb 2025 on HB basis and have following to share. On the positive side, the most of the hotel areas are not too crowded and relatively relaxed. The fact that the pool is spread out to the whole area of the hotel makes it more private and pleasant. The sea was quite calm for the most of time. Hotel staff is generally courteous and respectful. Drives in- and out- were on time and well organized. Quality of food was always good at breakfast (Waterfront). On the downside, the room cleaning and condition were subpar. Every time after the cleaning we found dirt here and there, they never clean underneath the beds. They also didn’t change the toiletries even after being asked to do so every day. The room is in need of renovation. The floor had scratches and holes in window shades. The other disadvantage was the fact that the staff is unable to resolve challenging situations. For the most of time our neighbors in rooms around were quiet as we are. On the last night we got a family from Eastern Europe (I suspect) that was extremely loud. They were almost constantly shouting on each other. I called reception many times to point this out, but they did nothing. Or at least I’m not aware if they did anything to address this situation. Things didn’t improve at all. The breakfast selection didn’t change much in these 9 nights we spent there.

The hotel and its location were initially impressive, but our experience was overshadowed by a serious safety issue. The roof of the building where we were staying collapsed, narrowly missing my wife. This could have been a fatal incident, but thankfully, she escaped with only a minor leg injury. What makes this even more horrifying is that if this incident had occurred just one day earlier, it could have been catastrophic. Two families, including ours, were playing by the canal directly in front of our door. The consequences could have been unthinkable. Initially, the hotel staff assured us they would fully support us and address the situation. However, once we had left, they completely refused to assist us in any way. Despite our repeated attempts to contact both the hotel and their insurance company, we were met with silence and no resolution. The pictures we have from this incident speak louder than words ever could. They vividly illustrate the severity of the situation and the negligence involved. For a hotel with such a reputable name, this level of indifference toward guest safety and well-being is utterly unacceptable. While the location and views may be appealing, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. Safety and proper guest care must be prioritized, and this hotel failed miserably in both respects. I will never stay here again.

Amazing property and even more amazing staff! The restaurants serve delicious food and the best part is the breakfast spread every morning! Lots of variety and options to choose from. The beach bar and the pool bar have superb cocktails that are a must try. The JW Garden is a nice jogging track for early risers and the gym is well equipped. The rooms are very comfortable and good size for a family. Special mention to Chef Mohan and Chef Hanu for gracefully accepting our menu requests and surprising every time with delicious food. Highly recommend this resort if you’re looking for a relaxed family holiday away from the busy downtown and spend quality time on the beach and making new friends!

Second visit to J.W. For Christmas, and booked for next year before we returned to UK..|Love this hotel, the staff the food location, can't fault it, just about 10 minutes to Bang Niang with huge variety of lovely restaurants, markets Moo Moos etc, same price taxi 300 baht to go to Khao Lak centre for variety. Few minutes to Pam's restaurant which is so well known in the area..Good beach bars to walk to , all good too. All yards from the hotel . |The hotel this year had opened "the garden " which is an amazing tropical area , all mangrove and lagoons with small farm area in it, huge variety of wildlife, absolutely beautiful with pathway to cycle or run. In the middle is yoga Shalla, platform overlagoon again amazing wildlife to try and watch while practicing..all fitness classes are amazing although have to make a special mention to Benz, who specialises in yoga, everyone was commenting what an amazing teacher she is..|This year we attended the NY party which was so well done, really enjoyed it and will be booking that again when we visit next Christmas.. looking forward to it already .. thanks for amazing visit again J.W Marriott!

This is a fantastic place to enjoy a relaxing beach vacation. The property is huge and gorgeous. There is space for everyone so you never feel crowded. The service is impressive from the moment we arrived. Our room was large and comfortable. A touch dated but still in good condition. The morning breakfast was delicious! Especially the French Toast station! Wow, so good. Enjoyed the beautiful beach with its gentle sea and nice sand for walking. The resort’s pool is huge! Tons of open chairs to sit and enjoy. Hope to return again someday as this is a special place to relax.

Fantastic family vacation at this property. |Family of 5 pax ie 2 adults, 1 senior and 2 kids. Stayed at 2 bedroom suite with 2 bathrooms. Cosy and clean rooms with balcony. Housekeeping was immaculate. ||Breakfast was wonderful with good variety of food. Dining options at Olive, Sala, TaKrai and Deli were great. Deli was a wonderful place to spend a lazy afternoon over a cup of barista-made coffee (not coffee from a typical office pantry machine) and snacks such as toasted bread, sandwiches, macaroons etc. Meaw was a great host at Deli. ||Swimming pools were clean and large. Many kids activities to keep the kids entertained. Games room with pool table, table tennis table etc. Cotton candy making, cookies making, Muay Thai for kids etc. Kids really enjoyed the movie under the stars with popcorn and marshmallows roasting by the beach! ||JW garden was really serene and nice. Great for walks, jogs and they had yoga and kayaking programs too. Nipa palm mangrove, herb garden, farm animals too. Kids had fun collecting eggs from the hen coop! We went for the JW garden experience tour which was fantastic! ||Gym was sufficient. Though would be perfect if the gym could include a 20kg barbell and a squat rack with more free weights/ plates. Currently gym is only equipped with a 10kg barbell and 4x20kg plates. No squat rack. Though there’s a smit machine. ||Beach was clean and private.||Service at this property is great. Overall vibes for this property is awesome! ||We just left this place yesterday and are already missing this place! We will absolutely return again to this property for our vacation!

Great hotel, exemplary service and hospitality. The lobby and reception team, housekeeping and sports and hospitality team, deserve particular mention. Massive breakfast buffet with a quieter adult section :-) Beautiful beach and and water. Celebrated a couple of special days here and the hotel went out of their way to mark it. Would definitely stay here again and looking forward to when we can return
