JW Marriott Los Cabos Beach Resort & Spa

"Give us the wide-angle view: what's this place like?Nevermind Cabo's reputation for attracting wild spring breakers: this hotel is closer to the less touristy San José del Cabo, not Cabo San Lucas, and it attracts a refined crowd that still spans ages. No matter the visitor—young couple, multi-gen family, groups of adults, parents traveling with little ones—this hotel is set up to cater to them. Designed by by IDEA Asociados and Olson Kunding Architects, it's all clean lines, sharp angles, stone, concrete—and views of the Sea of Cortez. It's got five pools, six restaurants, a top-notch spa, and a Greg Norman-designed golf course. This hotel is for visitors coming to Cabo to indulge, but not by partying the night away. Wow—this place has it all. And who's staying here?Guests range in age and size of party—families love the kids' club and other child-friendly amenities, couples love the adults-only pool area with swim-up bar, and retirees and larger groups love the hotel-within-a-hotel Griffin Club section—but they're all fairly well-traveled, well-heeled, and of the same mindset when it comes to their resort vacation. They come here because it ticks off all the boxes: great food and drink, ideal location, spa, proximity to quality vacation experiences, and plenty to keep them busy if they don't want to leave the hotel. It's luxury, but in an approachable, family-friendly way. What was your room like?I stayed in the Griffin Club, which commands higher rates, but I vote worth it. Taking up one corner of the property, it's got 39 rooms and suites, its own pool, patio, lounge, kitchen, screening room, and game room, and includes breakfast every morning, light snacks and free beverages (including wine and beer) all day and evening until 11 p.m. It also has two dedicated butlers to assist guests with reservations, transportation, and other needs. Rooms had smooth tile floors, king beds with crisp, cool linens, and balconies with views of the pool and ocean. Bathrooms were especially large, with discrete rain shower and toilets, as well as large soaking tubs. Plenty of storage and cabinets kept everything organized and out of site, so it always felt clean and open. Tell us about the little things, like the mini bar and toiletries—what were you desperate to sneak home with you?For being in a part of Baja famous for its touristy leanings, the hotel does a great job of featuring quality products by local artisans: colorful, hand-woven beaded necklaces were waiting in the room upon our arrival; daily news was delivered in hand-made woven bags that hung on the door; each room had stylish, locally made pool bags guests could borrow during their stay (or buy at the end), and the bathrooms had artisan bowls, also made nearby, that held bath salts (also available for purchase). The on-site boutique specialized in quality Mexican products, from clothing and beachwear to ceramics, jewelry, and chocolate. Wifi at the Griffin Club was included in rate, and very strong. Bathroom products were by Bulgari and Apothecary Associates. Room service: Worth it?Room service echoed the menus at the casual restaurants at the hotel, like the Nak Grill & Bar, and had its own set of classics, as well as a children's menu, which was especially nice when we had a night where we just didn't want to get dressed and leave the room. It came especially quickly (faster than I ever remember room service anywhere I've stayed), and eating on our balconies while listening to the ocean was as memorable as a meal out. How was the service? Did anything stand out, in a good—or bad—way? The staff at the Griffin Club, who were attentive, friendly, and fully committed to making sure guests had a good stay. Also, Carlos at the Jasha Spa sets a new standard for massage technique. How about the other features, like the decadent food, or the well-made cocktails? Anything you want to call out?The pools warrant some ink: the adults-only bar, which abuts one of the restaurants, features a swim-up tiled bar. The kids' pool has sprinklers and toys are on hand to borrow. Finally, the saltwater pool is made up of three tiered pools, and directly face the ocean. The Niparaya bar pours proper cocktails and serves creative sushi; the Nak Bar has a noteworthy range of tacos (the Baja fish or the shrimp are the ones to get). And the spa. Do not miss the spa, which has private pools, a temazcal (traditional sweat lodge), jacuzzis, saunas, and some of the loveliest treatment rooms I've ever seen. No one in our party had a bad massage or facial. Bottom line: worth it, and why? Here's how our group summarized the merits of this hotel: it's luxury, but affordable luxury, and family-friendly for all ages and group sizes. It's for people who indulge by relaxing, eating good meals, and who appreciate some nice surroundings. Note the sculpture in the terraced gardens by Jaume Plensa, note the meticulously landscaped plants and flowers everywhere, note that there's no bad view no matter where you are on the property. It's rare you feel so instantly in vacation mode when you arrive somewhere after a cross-country flight." - Corina Quinn

We had the most wonderful experience at JW Marriott Los Cabos, which became the heart of our wedding weekend. From the very first visit, we were captivated by its stunning architecture and design. Every space feels thoughtfully crafted, perfectly blending into its natural surroundings. The views are simply breathtaking, and the property is kept in impeccable condition.||But beyond its beauty, what truly made our time unforgettable was working with Avril Gonzalez. She poured so much care and dedication into making each of our events flawless, always with a warm smile and the calm that every bride dreams of. Thanks to her and the incredible team, everything flowed seamlessly and became more magical than we imagined.||The food deserves a special mention, each dish was a delight: fresh and flavorful. Our guests haven’t stopped talking about how much they enjoyed it.||We left completely in love with this place and are already dreaming about the day we get to return.

My husband and I, almost all of our family members and several friends have all visited this resort and absolutely love it. We personally have been here 20+ times and everyone treats us like family. Christina Gamez, who is the head Concierge (and much more), has been a constant presence for us over the last 7 years. She is also so helpful and kind with any request that we have. We always look forward to seeing her. Angel Valeria provided us a great service on this last trip to make sure we got the suite upgrade we requested. As a Marriott Ambassador Elite, my status comes with perks but everyone at this property goes above and beyond that in every way. We love the Adult Pool and have nothing but high praise for towel guys (Nestor & Johnny) who take care of our chairs, the servers like Roy and Yael, and the bartenders, specifically Fernando who take care of us every day we are there. The spa is beautiful and very serene with wonderful services so give that a try too. You will leave here wondering when you can plan to come back!

We had a wonderful stay at JW Marriott Los Cabos. The resort is beautifully designed with a serene and peaceful atmosphere—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The breakfast buffet was excellent, offering a wide variety of delicious options. Staff were consistently friendly and attentive, making our stay feel warm and welcoming. The Kids Club was a highlight for our family. It features a large indoor play structure, mini movie theaters, and fun, engaging craft activities. Our kids truly enjoyed their time there. The club is open daily from 9 AM to 5 PM, and pricing was reasonable—$35 for a half day (1–4 hours) or $45 for a full day including lunch. We would definitely recommend this resort, especially for families looking for a more tranquil and well-rounded experience.

We visited in Aug 2024. I wrote this review at the end of our trip. I forgot to post it 🤦🏾‍♀️. When we started planing our upcoming return to the property, I remembered the review I’d written. Read below to find out why we’re returning! ||Phenomenal Service|This was a last minute family trip that worked out well.|Family of 5: mom, dad, 3yo daughter, grandma (mid 70’s) and grandpa (late 70’s)||Rooms|We stayed in the Umey suites (A301 and A401). These were very spacious rooms. Each room came with 2 bathrooms. One was extremely oversized with a large tub, that we were able to bathe our daughter in, large shower with two shower heads (rain shower head and regular detachable shower head), toilet room and two separate sinks. ||We got a crib for our daughter. The room was large enough for the crib to sit next to either side of the bed. The lights in the bathroom and bedroom were dim but there was a wrap around balcony with multiple seating areas and two loungers. So opening the curtains provided lots of light.||There’s also a living room area with a couch and chairs.||The air conditioning in the room is great (very cold).||Kids Club|This alone is reason enough for us to come back. We were hesitant to use it and leave our daughter alone with people we don’t know. The reviews we’d read about it raved about the staff within the kids club. We were not disappointed at all. The kids club is for kids starting at 4 yo but you can utilize the babysitting service. I assume it’s the same thing but with a bit more “hands on” support. There were between 2-4 staff members playing with my daughter at any point. So the ratio is fantastic, lol. There’s so much to do in the Kids Club. There’s a large in door play structure, TVs and video game consoles for other kids. Baby dolls, small animals to climb on and arts and crafts. We utilized the kids club 4/6 of our days. Each day our daughter made a different craft (tye dye shirt, the day hat, paintings,Crayon pics, treasure chest). We communicated with the staff via What’sApp. They sent pictures and videos of our daughter throughout her time which made us even more comfortable. She LOVED being in the Kids Club. While we were in the pool, playing as a family she’d ask to go back to the Kids Club. We were surprised! Thank you to the entire Kid Club! Oh they also rent out pool toys (floats, noodles, beach ball etc).||Food|The pool menu offers lots of options. The breakfast menu and buffet also have so many options. My husband and I dined out one night alone at the fancy restaurant, that was our favorite meal. We also had a great Mexican Cab Sauvignon.||Service|The service was amazing. I can’t think of a moment we needed something and weren’t helped immediately. This is throughout the entire property. We want to give a special shout out to the bar and pool staff at the family pool (Rueben, Tadeo, Rodrigo, Javier Bautista, Nester).

We just got back from The SJD Marriott. I rate stays these days for myself by the degree to which I do not want to leave and by the degree to which I want to come back. This hotel is darn near exceptional. What stands out is the excellence on service. You know it when you see it: when a culture of excellence has been created, when a common standard in recruiting has been achieved towards a team of people that are genuinely nice and helpful and want to excel. The room was perfect, the quality of everything from beds to bathroom to balcony…all privacy and bliss. The terraced pools, the grounds, the spa, the ocean lounging. Adult-only sections at your beck and call, our kids loved everything , generally great food choices and options….One cannot but come to one’s total senses here, and isn’t that what a great vacation is all about? Oh, and you’re a stone’s throw from Flora Farms ( bucket-list it now!) and Acre, and Noa, and Ruba’s need I go on. As a discerning traveller, I’m really impressed by the price/value of this hotel. We’ll be back! Wait, did I , who never writes reviews, just wrote one?

Our trip to the JW Marriot Los Cabos Resort was phenomenal. We celebrated our wedding there and I cannot speak highly enough about our wonderful JW Marriot Wedding planner, Avril. ||Avril and the rest of the team that we worked with were exceptionally professional, anticipated our needs seamlessly and went above and beyond to provide myself, my husband and our guests with the most amazing experience.||Our vacation at the JW was exceptional. All of the staff were great. Our wedding guests raved about the quality of the food, rooms and pools. A common comment was how quiet the resort is. We never had to worry about acquiring space by the pool or grabbing a reservation for dinner. We along with many of our guests visited the spa and received a myriad of services. This spa is BEAUTIFUL and our massage therapists were great! This property has earned an ongoing spot on our places to travel list. 10/10 recommend if you are looking for a quiet, luxurious and scenic vacation experience.

We hosted our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception at the JW Marriott Los Cabos in May 2025, and it was one of the most magical experiences of our lives. From the moment we started working with Avril (the onsite wedding coordinator), it was nothing but smooth sailing. She went above and beyond throughout the entire process to ensure everything was coordinated onsite and really listened to what we wanted. The day of our wedding, the staff was incredible; our food was served hot, and there was never an empty drink. We and our guests were taken care of at all times, making us feel at home. I can't recommend both Avril and the property enough! If you're looking to have your wedding at the JW Marriott take this as your sign to do it!

My wife and I spent a wonderful 4 day getaway here and it was one of the most peaceful and relaxing trips in a long time. It could be the time of year but whatever the case this is a resort for those looking for some peace and quiet. The staff was great. Beautiful landscapes and great service. The beach is not swimmable due to the power of the waves and tides but the view is amazing. The several pools and private design of the resort makeup for the beach. Will be back!

Yelp
I recently stayed at the JW Marriott Los Cabos for a conference, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the beauty and elegance of this resort. The rooms are gorgeous and incredibly spacious, offering a perfect blend of luxury and comfort. Whether you're here for work or relaxation, you'll feel like royalty in these accommodations. The staff was exceptional--always attentive and ready to help with a smile. Their dedication to guest satisfaction truly stood out and made my stay even more enjoyable. One of the biggest highlights for me was the gym. It's top-notch, with excellent equipment and a design that feels both modern and inspiring. I had some of the best workouts of my life here, which is no small feat when you're surrounded by paradise! The breakfast at UA was a dream. The omelette bar and smoothie station were just the beginning--everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. If you're a breakfast lover like me, you'll want to take your time savoring all the options. I also loved the outdoor yoga sessions and the amazing events hosted by the resort. They really know how to create an atmosphere of relaxation and fun. And don't miss out on the adult pools--a perfect place to unwind after a busy day. Every detail, from the food to the ambiance, was perfection. I highly recommend JW Marriott Los Cabos for conferences, vacations, or any reason you can think of to treat yourself. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Wow! This hotel truly delivers 5-star service. I was amazed by the professionalism and hospitality of the staff. As it was my first visit to Mexico, their warm welcome left a lasting impression not just of the hotel, but of the entire country. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like VIPs--greeted with a refreshing cold towel and lemonade. The impeccable service continued throughout our stay, from housekeeping to restaurant staff. Our housekeeper, Lilly, kept our room spotless every day, even though we were traveling with a 10-month-old. A special thanks to Alam at UA Garden Restaurant for taking great care of us during our dinners (the food is incredible!) and for the helpful conversation and directions. The live music was a lovely touch, and even during a rainy day, the hotel was well-prepared for the weather. I traveled with a friend and her daughter, and as two and a half women traveling alone, we felt completely safe and well cared for. The hotel's architecture is stunning, and we spent almost a week here without ever feeling bored. I can't wait to return with the rest of my family! Thank you to the wonderful staff at JW Marriott!

Yelp
This place lives up to the JW name. They have a lot of pools including individual pools for kids depending on ages. The Umni suite was large and had great ocean views. They have free bottle water everywhere and the rooms include a Nespresso. Everyone's super friendly and accommodating. We spent two days in the spa and they have a great set up with a private pool, lap pool, sauna, steam room, hot tub and cold plunge. We were there in September and it is the off season and it felt like we had the resort to ourselves.

Yelp
We celebrated our wedding here in May 2024 and could have not asked for a better venue. The amenities including the spa and gym were spacious, clean, and relaxing. The property feels large enough where you can spread out but manageable enough to walk across. The food was tasty, and they knocked it out of the park with the service during our cocktail hour and reception. There are bars sprinkled all over the property (including in the pool) with delicious drinks. The rooms were spacious, and we were given the chance to stay in the beachfront suite. But the best part was the staff that are attentive and personable. From arrival to departure, Fernada and Gustavo helped take care of us and our guests, making us feel right at home. While we're sad our wedding is over, we're so happy we chose JW Marriott Los Cabos, and we can't wait to return in the future!

Yelp
The JW Marriott Cabo is a beautiful property with spacious rooms and friendly staff. So why does it feel like the hotel is just hanging on? The JW is to Marriott what Lexus is to Toyota. But this property doesn't act like it. We first knew something was wrong when we ordered drinks at the pool. The staff must be instructed to water them down because you can't taste the alcohol in any of them. No issue with charging $20 for a margarita at a nice resort. Big problem when you forget the booze! Another sign that it's struggling. The dumbbells at the gym are falling apart. What high end hotel can't afford to replace worn out weights? Bottom line: the resort has huge potential but doesn't deliver. I'd try a different resort...

Yelp
I am here on work and the hotel service is more stressful then my job I am on a company account all inclusive the cortez taco place the service is the worst the only way they will acknowledge you after your first order is when you get up to leave over lack of service I went twice because i thought it was me but it wasn't they treated me like they didn't want me there i am here with over 50 other crew members and i am getting the same answer from them all No one is happy and we are all here for work and every thing is all inclusive how could you not be happy its free and we are getting paid hard task to mess up but the resort it really making it possible went to the sea food restaurant it just opened and was empty i was one person and was told i needed a reservation so i made one for two days later it was a Friday night and was told that are closed Saturday? Closed on a Saturday ? Went back an hour later took video which i will post place still empty but they couldn't accommodate one person i felt like the staff didn't want is there Was excited they had nespresso machines good luck getting the pods after you use what they leave had to goto the front desk twice the first time time they brought me a replacement phone instead or pods

Yelp
Awesome! Entryway is spectacular. A rare place that makes you feel as though you are one of only a few guests, but obviously not. Large, open and peaceful. Customer service is 5 stars. Clean and well cared for resort. Nicest place we have stayed in the Marriot family of hotels. If you have stayed at a Ritz Carlton, you will find this place to be comparable. Love it!

Yelp
One of the most beautiful and amazing trips I've ever had in Cabo. The staff was incredible and never allow me to want for anything! This was a trip for my birthday and everyone on the property knew it! The Griffin Lounge made me feel like I had the whole resort to myself. They had live music every night during dinner and cocktails. Trip was great and I can wait to go back. This is officially my new getaway spot. Only down point was the Spa...my experience was not that good. When booking the front desk staff was not welcoming at all and very dry. My massage was pretty good but my pedicure was not good at all. I was very dissatisfied. Overall I will highly recommend the resort but definitely upgrade to the Griffin Lounge level. Thank me later

Yelp
This is gorgeous resort. Every corner of the resort has breath taking view. There are many selection of swimming pool to choose from. The week we spent was not busy so it was very relaxing. Breakfast buffet is awesome, freshly made smoothie, custom omelette, prime rib is served every day. The service is outstanding and staff is always friendly and helpful. The resort is a little farther from the others which is more quiet and relaxing. Transportation is fine and it's easy to catch an Uber to venture out.

Yelp
The hotel is located on the cliffside in San Jose Beach. 5-6 separate buildings with four floors and approximately 15 units per floor. An exclusive pool is attached to a building on the eastern side of the resort that I could not explore as I stayed closest to the entrance. However, my room accommodation with my wife was lovely with a king-size bed, couch, patio, bathtub, rain shower, two vanity sinks, fridge stocked with food, Nespresso machine, and multiple storage space for clothes. I can not complain about the accommodations of the room. The staff welcomed us with warm words and a drink to start. The grounds provided multiple restaurants, plenty of pools (including a wading pool for kids), a gym, a spa, kid activities, a 24-7 cafe deli, and a store. The gym had well-functioning treadmills and cardio machines. The restaurants had terrific views of the beach and delicious food! However, I was disappointed with the frequent broken and poorly maintained things for the price we paid. My first use of the toilet in the lobby included a broken toilet seat and the smell of urine. My safe required multiple visits to keep it functioning. The poorly ventilated gym had broken and overused weights, barely running water, and minimally stocked towels and mats. The available towels at the pools appeared overused and needed to be replaced. Would I stay here again? Maybe. I can't give it five stars; four stars is too generous.

Yelp
Just the best hotel! Peaceful, spacious and beautiful! There are 7 pools on the property but we mainly stayed at the adult one, all of them are great. Everyone that works here was super friendly and accommodating. We loved how the rooms even had a beach bag to borrow. It was a great perk for platinum members to be able to use the spa amenities. We loved this resort and will bring back!!

Yelp
I stayed here for 10 nights in January and booked two rooms. Overall beautiful property that's calm and relaxing with amazing pools. Service and restaurant are a big disappointment that do absolutely not life up to the JW standard and hefty prize tag. I would not stay here again. Pros: - beautiful property with scenic views - access to private and beautiful beach with white sand - many pools, some adult only and some nicely heated - calm, relaxing vibes due to the spacious grounds - complimentary valet parking - rooms are well sized - either 2 queens or 1 king plus queen sofa bed - overall modern and well maintained - play structure inside the kids club is free of charge to use - about 12 mins drive to town with many little shops and good restaurants - bottled water is free Cons/opportunities: - service from valet to check in to pool to restaurants and bar is disappointing. No one seems to enjoy working here and serve the guests. - service is barely doing the minimum: multiple valet folks see guests approaching but don't greet you or help unless you actively approach them. Don't expect any words or a smile. If you don't tip the valet folks every time they retrieve the car, they'll get noticeably upset with you. - service at the pool doesn't really exist in the upper pools and certainly doesn't start before noon. - Be ready to set up your own towels and umbrella. And, if you don't other a drink and leave a massive tip, be assured the server will ensure you know that he's unhappy about it. - breakfast buffet is over 800 pesos. Options are very limited and the line to get an omlet is long. - breakfast a la cart takes about 45 mins to come out and the food is nothing special. - lunch at the main restaurant is disappointing compared to all the great options in town. Service constantly makes you feel like they don't really want you here. - no acknowledgment or "special" for bonvoy status members (im platinum) - not even during check in. - only 2 heated pools in Dec/Jan. All other pools are freezing cold. - waiters at the bar got upset with me when I brought my own beer from the mini bar and only ordered food. - sushi served at the bar was some of the worse I ever had. Mostly rice and fish that didn't seem to be fresh. - staff likes to be on their phones - instead of caring for their guests. - coffee cupsles in the room don't get refilled unless you ask for it

Yelp
Agree on the positives of other reviewers, the hotel is beautiful, quiet, perfect for relaxation. 3 stars due to 3 main problems: (1) A/C was unable to be adjusted to a higher temperature. We visited in mid November, we didn't require the temperature to be so low in the room but were unable to modify, only turn on/off; (2) sensor on the ceiling (see image) right above the bed completely destroyed our sleep. The red light turned on with EVERY slightest move! (3) Not one restaurant or bar had draft beer - all they had was can beer - very rarely we were able to get bottled beer but with difficulty. The only coffee shop on site served good coffee but had no REAL milk - milk was made from powder milk. Sushi was awful, but Cafe des Artistes compensated as they served truly wonderful dishes. Overall, nice resort but would not come back.

Yelp
We just had a spectacular stay at the JW Marriott Los Cabos Beach Resort & Spa for the Relish the Heritage Food, Wine & Music Festival. We arrived in Cabo and we were picked up by one of the JW Marriott Los Cabos's private cars. This is one of the many offerings (upon request) from the hotel to ensure safe & seamless transport for guests. The drive to the resort from the airport was about 30 minutes. The resort is about 15 minutes outside of downtown San José del Cabo. Upon arrival at the JW Marriott Los Cabos Resort, we were engulfed in a horizon-framing lobby that looked out onto the Sea of Cortez - talk about an awe-inspiring moment. The JW Marriott Los Cabos and its architecture is a testament to the beauty of Cabo's natural landscape. The striking architecture of the hotel was built with the purpose to blend with the shore and sea (& it does just that). This resort took my breath away and moved me to tears at points - it was that stunning. The Amet Patio was one of my favorite areas - it gave major Gladiator vibes which is one of my favorite movies. I have never stayed at or experienced a more aesthetically pleasing hotel - from the grand details to the small ones, not a blade of grass was overlooked. The vibe of the resort is desert luxury with light, neutral sand tones throughout the property. There are exquisite areas for photo-ops around every corner. The staff at the JW Marriott Los Cabos Beach Resort & Spa were the epitome of hospitable. Each staff member we had the pleasure of encountering was beyond gracious & eager to assist us with any and all of our needs. Our room was located in The Griffin Club - the Griffin Club is a boutique hotel within the JW Marriott Los Cabos resort that provides a deeper level of luxury & hospitality to guests. I'm talking luxury offerings such as an exclusive concierge & on-call butler (shout out to Adrian for his amazing service!) and access to private areas such as the Mayma Lounge which includes a private chef, a pool with cabanas, a beach, ample seating with fireplaces & complimentary appetizers and drinks throughout the day. Our Griffin Club Deluxe Room featured 1 King bed with plush bedding, a large balcony with an ocean facing view, a cozy sofa, & modern furnishings. The design elements in our room were soft & neutral including marble, wood that captured the desert luxury feel of the resort as a whole. The Bathroom featured a double vanity, large bathtub & rain shower. Our balcony was one of my favorite parts of the room - nothing topped opening those doors & having the Sea of Cortez lull us to sleep. The balcony was a great place to relax after getting in some pool time - we enjoyed reading out there. There was a welcome tasting of Mezcal waiting for us in our room - yes please! Kicking off the Relish the Heritage party with Mezcal was spot on. The Relish the Heritage Food, Wine & Music Festival was a culinary & artistic journey to remember. We got to experience so much of the resort & some special parts of Cabo including: - Dinner in the Griffin Club's Governor Suite hosted by Chef Pablo HIldebrando. - Massage & Temazcal Ceremony at the Jasha Spa (one of the best massages I've ever had!) - Sightseeing Catamaran Tour - Mexican Wine Tasting & Tapas from San Luis Potosi & San Miguel de Allende - Tasting Menu Dinner at Café des Artistes Los Cabos hosted by Chefs Thierry Blouet & Mario Rodriques We will 100% stay at the JW Marriott Los Cabos Beach Resort & Spa in the future.

Yelp
It's a solid 4. Pools are great. We were there late November. Dinner at Nak was awesome , the taco place has its ups and downs they definitely need more seating we took our food to go from that spot. Room service fries were cold, pizza was good, greasy but it's what we needed after a day long drink fest. Aside from a solid 4 for location and friendliness of staff, if you're a nitpicker read the 3 stars and under reviews I can validate some of those experiences although they didn't ruin my trip. We did lose power twice while we were there. Apparently the whole place was running on a generator and they shut the power off once at night while everyone was asleep and again when they refueled the Ginny. Sadly we were supposed to be visiting the spa at that time and were not able to have our treatment because well even dim relaxing lights require electricity.

Yelp
This property is so beautiful, though it will take you a solid 30-45 minutes to get from the airport which is inland. We booked airport transportation through the hotel, shared ride round trip at $35 each because private transportation was over $200 round trip. Check-in was easy though our room wasn't ready by 1 pm. We headed down for lunch at the poolside oceanfront restaurant and the room was ready by 3 pm. The room itself was beautiful-- lots of gorgeous wood, great storage, two comfy beds, bathroom had the BEST SHOWER EVER (we literally took three showers a day). I love the hotel toiletries. They provided water bottles for brushing your teeth. Even a Nespresso machine for morning coffee and a little mini bar fridge. Housekeeping was terrific each day. We enjoyed breakfast and lunch at the hotel restaurant each day. American breakfast was big enough to share with my traveling companion so we're the chicken quesadillas. My favorite lunch options included the burger and chicken taquerias. Poolside bar service was superb! Note the beach is not swimmable so no chairs down there. Great service all around including when my friend lost her sunglasses our last night and team found them before we departed. Five stars -- luxury, service, tranquility. I will return!

Yelp
We stayed on the Casa Maat side of the JW for a family trip during Hurricane Hillary. Our experience may have had some hiccups but the staff, butlers, and location was a true 5 star experience. The hotel was quiet since it was off season and the weather was hot and humid but the pools, spa, food and attention to detail really made this stay a memorable one for us. Shout outs to Abraham, Juan Carlos and Francisco who took wonderful care of us for the week. We definitely will be back- stay here and if you can stay at the Casa Maat, you won't regret it.

Yelp
They have the best Jalapeño Margarita in San Jose! The property is gorgeous and the view from the rear terrace is beautiful as well. We will be back.

Yelp
My husband and I just returned from a whirlwind trip to Cabo; we were on our "Babymoon" and we chose this resort since we are bonvoy members. Upon arrival the front desk gave us these adorable twin polar bears (yes we are having twins) as a greeting gift. We were very surprised how few guests there were around! They said the hotel was around 33% which was really lovely. MORE FOR US. This meant NO lines for bar or getting a pool chair or morning coffee even. Trully fantastic for us. Our room was gorg. Like described in other reviews. STUNNING. We had a beautiful ocean view. Amazing balcony we could sit on and chill. The hotel is sprawling. Romantic. Exotic. I will also agree the staff is fantastic. I've never encountered a more hospitable service team. Sergio at the pool, The piano guy at Artiste Cafe. Marco at the front desk. An amazing helpful crew they will Bend over backwards. We slept well the beds are super comfortable. Maid service is prompt and efficient. Pools are breathtaking and the water IS SO WARM. The gym is also updated and well kept. My only issue (especially being pregnant) was finding things I could eat. Only a few of the resteraunts were open at any time. I didn't realize until the end that room service would have had better options but also I didn't want to eat in my room the whole trip. ‍ The Cafe De Artistes was my favorite but definitely $$$$ so not a daily go to. UA has limited hours. The grill is cute but not a huge selection. (Remember I can't have sushi or ceviche) We also ended up going into town a bunch to like get a burger for a bit of a price break. Which meant at least 15$ round trip Uber. Aside from that issue I was really happy there and we will definitely come back. Pictures included!

Yelp
Returned from another AMAZING stay at JW Marriott Casa Maat. We have had the pleasure of visiting this property numerous times over the last four years. From the moment you are greeted by the friendly bellmen, to the ease of check-in process, and the beautiful accommodations, you are put in vacation mode. Fresh scrimp ceviche, guacamole and chips, and drinks around that ocean front pool is heavenly. We were thrilled to be upgraded to an ocean view room--probably due to our frequent visits. We enjoyed the expansive breakfast selection and creative dinners, and had the pleasure of dining at NAK also. The property continues to be beautifully maintained and the landscaping is unique. The real stars of the experience of staying in Casa Maat are the warm, friendly, and efficient team members. The spotlight goes to Abraham, Francisco, and Jesus as outstanding butlers who followed through with requests. The food and beverage area, we want to say a special thank you to Sophia, Ivan (our Tequila teacher), Anna, Montserrat, Eduardo (creative bartender) and Jesus. Servers at the pool that aimed to please were Oscar (Adrian), Rafael and super worker Luis! We are anxiously preparing another visit in the year, knowing that JW Marriot/Casa Maat will deliver another outstanding experience.

Yelp
Stayed at JW for the first night and at Casa Maat for four nights.. JW: -nice and big hotel -staffs are nice and welcoming -lots of pools -adult pool with swim up bar -family hotel -ordered food while at the pool and all the dishes was good. Catch of the day, Margarita pizza, trio tacos ( fish was my favorite) and shrimp ceviche Casa Maat is on the other side of the JW. It's a private side of the hotel. Guests at JW can't come to this side but Casa Maat guests can use all both sides of the Marriot. Not all inclusive but its almost like it. -all the staffs was very attentive and nice -private pool -butler service. All the butlers was great! Francisco was very attentive and quick with his response when we send him a message. Thanks Francisco! -free breakfast, free snacks during lunch (ceviche and guacamole) and dinner was different theme every night -it wasn't busy. Went low season so that's perfect for us. Not a lot of guests. Felt like we had the place to ourselves -free beers, wine, and water -free liquor during dinner 6-9pm -basic room was nice and clean. Upgraded to a suite on the 3rd day. Just wanted something bigger. Suite was worth it. Big and spacious. Looking out to the ocean and pool side -birthdays celebration. Complimentary cake was delicious! -casa Maat guest can use spa amenities daily for free. It's so beautiful and relaxing in there. Wish we went there when we got there and not waited til the last day -friends got massage and they both love it Had a great time here. Highly recommended for a relax and chill getaway

Yelp
Edit: stars stay the same but 5 stars to Yuliana, the Customer Engagement Manager. She at least tried to remedy the situation. She refunded us for one night and has been in touch with Marriott to help recover the rest. Do not stay here until it 100% confirmed the AC works. They will lie, so do your research in advance. If you can sleep with it being 80 degrees then you should have no problem. The management doesn't give a shit about you being comfortable, that much is very clear. I love marriott, and I'm very loyal to them. This experience has me rethinking my hotel loyalty. Very disappointed in the service and sympathy for the management staff. It's a great hotel, in a great location, but they have a lot of issues to work out. I feel bad for the staff that does care, their managers don't. We moved down the road to a Hilton, which was painful for me as a loyal Bonvoy member. I will never be back to this property.

Yelp
I got the chance of a lifetime to come to this resort and enjoy a few days of relaxation. The grounds are extremely beautiful and the sights of the ocean are perfect. They have many pools to chose from with one of them having a swim up bar. This place was just a great place. The restaurants all had amazing food too. We went to the restaurant with the piano and bar and we just had an amazing time listening to the piano player. He was so good and talented. They had a huge wedding there at the time of our stay which didn't interfere with our stay. We booked a day at the spa and it was so relaxing. I got a 30 min massage and a 30 min facial. I definitely want to come back to this place. It was my best Cabo trip to date.

Yelp
I've never been to this side of Cabo but glad I did. Very spectacular place to have a wedding. The view of the ceremony was something out of a movie. Incredibly romantic and beautiful. June was perfect weather with a small breeze. This is not an all inclusive hotel but they do offer a meal plan if you ask. We had trouble calling from the US.. no one wanted to give us a definite answer until we got there. My friend tried calling multiple times. They speak English here at the concierge. The only caveat is that the deal includes meals plus beer + wine per day but you would have to get it every day that you are staying there. We opted out because of this as we were here for a wedding and it wasn't worth it to us. (About 280$ was quoted to us per person). I did love how calm and serene the resort was. It was small enough to walk to the center quickly. They only have one restaurant open for lunch which didn't rotate it's meal options. This is the same restaurant that had an AYCE buffet for breakfast (ends at 11am) which I thought was good quality. It just can get packed. It seemed like everyone we met was traveling for a wedding. This side of cabo is further away from the main strip (about 40 mins). Definitely go to the spa! I wish I didn't go on my last day because if I knew how beautiful the actual spa was.. I would have gone twice. There is a relaxing area outside the spa rooms that is what you imagine if you were in a tropical modern island hehe. My friend and I didn't get to use the hot tubs, and steam room due to time constraints so I recommend checking it out. PS: Uber is available here! (no lyft as of June 2022). It was quick to go to offsite restaurants. There is Flora Farms about 15 min nearby and Acre. Totally worth checking out!

Yelp
I must say for the cost it was very disappointing. My wife and I stayed here for a night before our wedding weekend at Hard Rock, which was amazing. I'll start with the fact this hotel need to be all inclusive. There was a lot of maintenance going on and the hotel smelled like pure smoke all around. When you travel out the country you expect to walk into these 5 star hotels and at least smell fresh fragrances. The pools were small and the hotel food was very mediocre. Sorry it was a BIG NO FOR ME! So glad we were there for only a night. HARD ROCK ON THE OTHER HAND... there's no comparison!!

Yelp
JW Cabo Review - We Had An Amazing Stay!! We had the most INCREDIBLE stay at the JW Marriot Los Cabos!! We celebrated our four year wedding anniversary and were so blessed by the staff at this property. We stayed for 4 days, had the best meals, enjoyed the spa and the pool and the beautiful sunsets! We loved the resort and all the offerings but what we loved most about our stay was the people!! The following people went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and truly enjoyed our stay! Here are some examples of how the staff went above and beyond, and made our interactions and stay so special and memorable - Adult Pool Staff - Karen - For always checking on us and helping us name the poolside iguana "Chewbaca" Alan - For always checking on us, being so approachable and joking around with us Victor - For making ua laugh and making us the best mango margaritas Raymundo - For always being so kind and seeing what we needed Carlos - For always smiling and being so attentive Cafe Des Artistes Staff - Steve, Juan and Miguel (pastry chef) - Thank you for making our anniversary dinner so spectacular with the high level of service and of course the special dessert heart at the end of our meal Concierge Staff - Christina - For getting us the car rental so we could explore nearby cities and being so attentive to making our stay special Gemma - Thank you for always smiling, answering our questions and for helping us find the best parking spot in Cabo. She is truly a great staff member Roberto - For talking to us before our trip and planning out our transportation to and from the airport Bellman - Ismael - For going above and beyond to help us when we needed it Housekeeping - Diana - Thank you for keeping our room clean and for the sweet oragami animals and note Thank you all and we are so excited to return someday soon! Yelp
High end hotel, even the base rooms were designer decorated with stone, glass and oak wood everywhere. Very impressive high walls and ceilings throughout the resort. Swim up bars are great. Cons- pools were too warm, tiles falling off every where, a lot of walking , and the ants in our room didn't go away after we told front desk. Wife got bug bit a lot. Check the restaurant schedule, it's confusing but the food is great. Would stay here again.

Yelp
In the midst of a pandemic, we decided to take a chance and celebrate our first anniversary in the best way that we know; traveling. Mexico was accepting Americans with minimal hassle and we had enough points to stay practically for free. So Cabos was our destination of choice. This property is the most scenic I've ever stayed in with shadowed graphically interesting corridors, multiple infinity pools, gardens complimentary of the desert landscape, and views of the ocean that remind you every day of the glory of God's creation of Earth. An instagramer's playground. Our first room was a basic studio with an ocean view in Griffin Club. The Griffin pool was empty for the majority of our stay. We shared the pool with 5 other guest at a maximum, as the resort was practically empty. Visiting in July, the pools were naturally heated around the clock. We were upgraded to the Umey Suite. WOW! WOW! WOW! 2 bathrooms, a full living room, bedroom, and balcony with an ocean facing window. If you can splurge, it is worth the money, and will change the stay for you. We found ourselves debating whether we wanted to go out or stay in and enjoy the accommodations. Eating at Nak restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised at how reasonable the prices were compared to most restaurants at hotels. Entrees were in $20s USD. Drinks were around $10. Sides a la carte were pricey, at around $8 each. Best of all, the presentation and flavor was exquisite. Service was phenomenal, as there was only one other person at a table far away, and about 10 members of the staff working. They used a chalk board with the menu on it to be COVID complaint. As a COVID precaution, our temperature was checked every single time we stepped foot on the property. We also had to sign in, agreeing to leave if we became ill during our stay. Rooms were sanitized and sealed prior to guest entry, and we had to break the seal to get in the room the first time we entered both. The beach was walkable, but there were flags indicating that the water was not safe to enter. The waves crashed at shore, and looked like they could suck you in easily. Any concerns that we had at the hotel were addressed immediately. Everyone was very helpful. Staff was willing to make recommendations for local activities and restaurants off property. Parking was complimentary, but they had valet if you wanted. There was ample parking due to the low occupancy. During our stay, the hotel was at 15% occupancy, and the law capped occupancy at 30%. The spa prices were ridiculous, around $200/hr for a massage, $70 for a pedicure. In US DOLLARS. Hard pass. However, the Jasha Spa is visually stunning. The highlight of the resort is waking up in paradise each day. This was the most beautiful property that I've ever stayed in. You could spend an hour just walking around to discover the 10 or so swimming pools, appreciating the gardens, and seeing the various art pieces. It's located in Los Cabos, maybe 10 minutes from Old Town, and 30 minutes from Cabos San Lucas. We appreciated being away from the hustle and bustle. When I return to Cabo, this will be where I'm staying and I will be returning to this magnificent home away from home. Shout out to Julio Benton who went above and beyond to make sure that every desire was fulfilled.

Yelp
Our girls left there sunscreen and hats on there chairs at 9PM BY THE SALT WATER POOL they were swimming and came back to there chairs and all there stuff was gone, we asked the lost and found for 2 days still nothing turned up "WATCH YOUR BAGS!!" Sticky fingers at the Marriott!! **Update the hat and sunscreen were finally found at lost and found 3 days later and 2 days after my review** if you loose something it will take 3 days to get from the pool 50' away to the lost and found. Still no sunglasses and we're leaving so we will have to donate those if they make it to the lost and found.

Yelp
We had a wonderful stay. I don't believe I've been treated better by the staff consistently day after day. Delicious food. Beautiful surroundings. We will be back.

Yelp
Marco was great! Service was awesome across all restaurants... I truly felt like everyone went out of their way to make the stay special.

Yelp
Beautiful property!!! It's about a 30mins taxi from the airport which cost $70 USD. Upon arrival from the airport the staff was very welcoming and immediately took our temperature, sanitized our luggage and escorted us inside the resort. The resort is very secluded from anything. The nearest market (OXXO) to pick up snacks or alcohol is a taxi cab away. We paid $40 USD round trip to get a few grocery items. I was hoping to be more around shopping and restaurants but everything is a car drive away. Would highly recommend renting a car to make it easier to get around if you are planning to leave the resort. They also have their own rental car at the hotel if you chose to rent a car at the resort (which we did). Approx $80/day. Getting a taxi is super easy as their office is down the street, so that wasn't an issue. The hotel does allow for Uber drivers to come in. We took an uber to the airport and it cost $12 USD so highly recommend uber to save some money. If you are a Marriott Bonvoy member don't expect any special perks or treatment. There was no welcome gift nor was my request for a higher level room honored. I read from other reviews that Marriott members aren't given any special treatment here and that is correct. We spent a few days at the adult pool which is very relaxing and the service is amazing. All the staff is friendly and provide excellent service. Even covering my book when the rain came!! Great attention to detail. The food we ordered at the pool is beyond incredible. Best part of our stay here was the food. Overall, it is a beautiful resort secluded from the noise of the city. Room accommodation is spacious, oversized balcony and very clean. Everyone was very helpful, friendly and gracious. Will definitely return to this location.

Yelp
Absolutely beautiful hotel. The drive is wonderful nearing the property, but it's when you arrive, breathtaking! You are greeted by a very welcoming staff at the drop off point who make sure you are "temp" approved. Had an issue w Check-In as the girl behaved the plastic wall was very rude in letting us know only ONE person allowed to check on. But, immediately after I walked away, my boyfriend had to chase after me for ID and my signature. Let's just say, we thought the fun was over with her. I'm happy to say, the room staff was support! Our room was made up to perfection every day. My boyfriend bought flowers and the room staff took it from my yeti and had it displayed in a beautiful vase when we returned. I'm sad to say,our stay was too short. This is an amazing place to stay as it seems most all hotels in the area.

Yelp
When you stay at hotels every week, M-Th, for the past 15-years & counting, hotels become blase. Not this hotel, however. This is one of the most beautiful, clean, fully attentive hotels in which I've ever stayed. Immediately upon arrival, the bellman were superb. The front desk was helpful, yet not intrusive. My room was clean - and gorgeous. I had a balcony with an ocean view. I practiced morning yoga looking out at the ocean. I had a nespresso - with multiple options. I had bath salts and a clean, wonderful bath tub! I also had a separate shower. The bathroom was an entire room itself. The bed was comfortable. The closet space was ample, yet tucked away smartly. The room smelled clean. I really felt like I was in heaven. Though I normally venture off hotel properties, given I was alone, this was my first time in Mexico, and my Spanish was rusty after not living in Spain for 15-years, I decided to spend all my time on the property. The restaurants were delicious. Though I was disappointed I could not swim on the beach, I loved the saltwater pool. The Jasha Spa impressed me beyond my wildest expectations (go have a massage with Adriana!). The restaurants were all delicious. I also loved the adult pool, with the accompanying Kaha Bar. Since I abhor chlorine, I did not swim up, but was delighted that servers also brought us drinks & snacks at the adult pool with the beautiful view! On my last full day, I ordered a "sex on the beach" along with a handful of jalapeno margaritas (who's counting?) and tres tacos of octopus, shrimp, and steak. Everything was amazing. Being as it was Thanksgiving week, I also got to see them set-up for Christmas with a Nutcracker (see photo), and another guest from Washington, D.C. and I saw whales off the coast at one of the garden lookouts where there was custom artwork modeled after François Auguste René Rodin!

Yelp
Good picturesque location. Service is ok but the building is falling apart. Lots of small things that you pay attention when your trying to relax. The whole building needs a renovation

Yelp
Have very low expectations in the Wedding services department. The head sales manager's lack of communication was very unprofessional. We took our business elsewhere, where we felt more spoiled in the initial stages of the planning process.

Yelp
We stayed here September of 2021. The resort was still at lower capacity from covid and upgrades weren't available at all (I have status with Marriot)... I'm not sure if it was actually not available or they just weren't giving upgrades. Right before we flew to Cabo, there was a hurricane that knocked out the cell towers. We got there and didn't have wifi (no ones fault) but the lobby and check in process was slow and stressful. Not having internet though was oddly refreshing and we did meet a lot of people at the resort. The SPA: gosh I cannot recommend this enough-- I will probably try to review it on its own but we spent the whole day here. Every year I do a couples spa day for my fiancé's birthday bc it's a great present and I also benefit ;). We did the Baja couples spa retreat and the attention to details for his birthday did not go unnoticed. Do note-- this is not close to downtown Cabo San Lucas and it's more of a pain to get in and out. Definitely a resort you go to and lounge/ spa/ workout etc. It is definitely more of a wellness resort and mental break. We really enjoyed the gym. There are many pools but don't expect to be lying on the beach here- it's very rocky. Nonetheless, great vacation spot and they had great event spaces as well.

Yelp
I came here for my honeymoon and I can't recommend it enough. The staff, atmosphere, food and drinks were all amazing and delicious. We tried all of their restaurants and pools while we were here and you honestly can't go wrong with any of them. They really do take care of you here. Five stars!

Yelp
For my first time in Mexico, went with the JW and was very satisfied! The property is beautiful and the staff so pleasant. We spent most of our time at the adult pool, in their lounge chairs overlooking the ocean. Saw whales everyday and a variety of sea birds. The lunch service at the pool was quick, delicious, with large portions. Only ate dinner there the night we arrived, and it was fine. While Cabo is 30-45 minutes by taxi, San Jose del Cabo is 10-15 minutes and much more charming. I'd recommend dinners there over Cabo. If you are looking for a low key, relaxing stay in Mexico, I'd recommend this property.

Yelp
Overall had a wonderful stay at the JW Marriott. It was a deal we got through Costco that included $50 USD credit for food and drinks, $50 spa credit and $68 Costco credit. If you're looking for something secluded this is the perfect resort. It had plenty of different pools, bars and restaurants. The resort opens out to the view of the ocean which was amazing to see. The resort is large with various types of outdoor seating and fireplace areas (besides pool seating). Service was overall good, just wasn't sure about the housekeeping times. One day they came at 8:45am and we told them to come back later. No one came that day. The next day they didn't come until after 4-5pm when we called them. Got two 1L bottles each day for free. Rooms were clean, nice decor and had a very contemporary feel which I loved. Recommend the breakfast buffet at UA Culinary Artisans. It is roughly $30 something USD per person but has a variety of food and drink options. Be warned that it closes at 11am, after which your only breakfast option is Auka Deli. It's a small cafe which offers limited and more expensive choices. If you ARE stuck in the situation (which we were...twice) I recommend the green avocado sandwich. Kaha bar (poolside) food is okay, we got ceviche that good. Guacamole was okay and chips weren't as fresh. Didn't find cocktails very strong. We chose to dine in at Nak Grill and Bar one of the nights for its location. It's outdoor along the side of the pool with string lights and palm trees throughout the area which enhanced the ambience. Wasn't as impressed with the food. My husbands fish was overcooked and my chicken was bland. Would not recommend eating here. After this, we ubered it to downtown (costs about $5-10 USD each way) and ate there instead. They also offered covid testing on site (recommend scheduling early) for $17/18 USD and results came the same day in the evening. This was great!! We never used any spa credit. The cheapest thing was a mani/pedi which was $ 70+ USD. The massage was $120+. I would recommend this place to stay for sure, but would suggest to go somewhere else to eat if you're a foodie!

Yelp
Came to the resort for 5 days, had a great time at the pools, unfortunately i was nkt aware that the beach is not always available for guest to visit. Cage des artist was an amazing option for dinner, UA culinary artisans was good for a quick hotel lunch, i also had breakfast ala carte and that was very good. For breakfast there is a buffet but I am not a buffet person. Nak Grill by the pool was a great option for drinks and lunch by the pool. The hotel is located on the side of town that still under construction and some roads are still not finished yet. Overall, the hotel felt personalized since it was not crowded, plenty of swimming pools, although there is an adult pool (over 18 to access area) i did not feel it was better than the rest of the pools. Expect to use a lot of Uber rides to get in and out of the hotel to visit local restaurants and local attractions. The most expensive part was landing at the airport and being told that there is a $70 can ride which is not negotiable to the hotel. Concierge was helpful to assist with dinner reservations. Willy our server by the pool was amazing, the rest of the bellman were always friendly.

Yelp
The room/"house" is not clean.floors, sinks, etc are dirty.the toilet leaked. I put towels to soak up. The same wet towels were folded & left as "clean". I asked for clean towels over an hour ago & asked again only to be still waiting. This hotel caters to group events. The 1st night the restaurant was closed to group. Yesterday, the pool closed to group. The group was very loud outside our room past midnight & again 7 AM. Plan on additional $1,000. charge on credit card when checking in. Only 2 coffee pods - additional will be charged.Really, would think Marriott could budget a morning coffee for guest? Also be aware, this hotel is very far from anything. You should plan on staying and not leaving. We were told by conciere - taxi to town is $60. each way. That is NOT true - it is $20.00

Yelp
Meh. Overpriced and mediocre service. We won't be back. We spent one week at Cabo Azul before our stay here and Cabo Azul is 1000% times better!

Yelp
Very well positioned property. Hotel staff is extremely friendly and the views from the hotel are amazing. Lots of pools separated by age which was nice. They have an adult pool and a spa on site. We got a chance to use the spa facilities and they also have their own private pool with a hot tub, steam room & sauna. Very relaxing if you get a chance to use the spa facilities. I chose the neck and back massage, followed by a facial. Only negative I found was for vegetarians. There is a limited menu here at the property. We ended up taking a few short Uber rides to experience restaurants. Additionally, apparently the whole hotel just lost AC in their rooms for most of the day today. Over 90 degrees outside and JW Marriott lost their AC.... It's taking them most of the day to fix the issue, and it's literally hot in our room. Doubt we can even sleep. Called and messaged the front desk many times, still no AC.

Yelp
Aircons do not work . Zero service level . Waiters are only waiting for a big American tip . We stayed here in 2021 and it was such an amazing experience. This year 2022 everything has deteriorated so badly . Food is subpar . You get better food 10 minutes away in town . Breakfast buffet is totally not worth it . Flies are on all the Pastries and condiments . They used to have the best Caesar salad but no more . Don't waste money and time eating here . The property is beautiful and breathtaking . If you can get past all the negatives then it's ok . I will never be coming back We also lost something in our room and the hotel just had a no bothered attitude Please read the negative reviews b4 you waste your $$$ on this hotel

Yelp
We split our time between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. We decided to stay at the JW Marriott because the pictures looked just beautiful. The property is very spread out and has a lot of room in between areas. It almost seemed like there were very few people on the property because it was so spread out. We were given a beautiful room on a high floor that had a dead on view of ocean. The room was just beautifully appointed with updated new furnishings and a beautiful layout. They offer a supply of Nespresso pods for your morning coffee, unlimited bottled water and due to COVID they delivered as much ice as you wanted. There are different pools that you can visit; a kids pool area, one near the restaurant and an adult pool. I enjoyed the adult pool which the beds are first come first served. They provide plenty of large towels which was very nice. There is also a swim up bar located at the adult pool. All of the attendants at the pool and bar were very helpful and courteous. There is a gym and a spa - the gym is spacious and beautiful. As part of our Titanium welcome gift, we chose the breakfast. Well, the breakfast that you receive is continental. The view of the water from the restaurant was not the best stunning ocean view (kinda partial) so we decided for the remainder of the stay to get the continental "to go", brought it to our room and ordered Room Service for the extra hot items such as eggs, etc. With the magnificent view we had, this was a great option! This property is perfectly laid out for corporate events as there are many places for gatherings, dinners and meeting venues. It is a spacious beautiful place that excels in customer service. If you are wanting to get away to a peaceful and spacious property, this place will fit the bill!

Yelp
50 stars if I could.-absolutely most beautiful setting. I've traveled to a lot of hotels in Mexico this is the most. Beautiful, clean, kind staff, great food, attention to detail, very calm, quiet, ... safe.. can't say enough. Went thru Costco. Most amazing . Included transportation . Uber comes in minutes ... price was excellent.

Yelp
*SCAM ALERT* Please note that this review is for the gift shop and not the hotel itself. Although the hotel did not help in any way remediate the situation and removed themselves from the privately owned gift store on their property. The entire trip, we were charged in Mexico pesos; which was fine. One day, my Wife walked by the gift store and saw a necklace that she liked. The lady running the store told us the price (in PESOS) and after doing the math, we agreed that we would buy it. The lady then proceeded to run our credit card in US Dollars. We signed the receipt and moved on. When we returned home, to our surprise, the charge for the necklace was 20 times the amount we were what we were told and what we were expecting to pay. We immediately called and explained however they gave us the run around and eventually avoided our calls. Bottom line, they would not let us return the necklace for even a partial refund. We spoke to the lady who sold us the necklace and she lied and said she told us her quote was in US Dollars. We tried everything including our credit card company and Marriott corporate. No one would help. This SCAM left a blemish on what was otherwise a beautiful vacation. This is a warning, do not buy ANYTHING from the gift store. Even if you think you are careful with them, you may come home to a big surprise with no way of fixing it. It's just not worth the risk.
