JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort & Spa

Our recent stay at the JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay was truly outstanding. The resort beautifully blends its unique university-themed architecture with top-tier service, creating a memorable experience. We stayed in an Ocean View Deluxe Emerald Bay Room during the busy CN golden week holiday. The positive experience began before we even arrived, with proactive email communication from the hotel to arrange our preferences. Upon arrival, the welcome was warm and efficient. The highlight of our check-in was the exceptional service from the front desk team. We must give special recognition to Kevin, who went above and beyond to acknowledge my Elite Member status and secure a fantastic room upgrade for us, his efforts were greatly appreciated. Following that, Dora managed our check-in process with remarkable professionalism. She thoughtfully escorted us to the Red Rum restaurant for lunch while our room was being prepared and maintained seamless communication via the Marriott Bonvoy app, ensuring our wait was comfortable and pleasant. The room itself was a delight. We were very fond of the elegant, French-inspired decor, and the spacious balcony offered a breathtaking view of Emerald Bay's white sand beach. The room was well-appointed with practical features like a large luggage rack, an excellent walk-in closet, and a dehumidifier. While the overall condition was great, a few minor elements like a non-functional coffee machine and manual curtains showed slight signs of age, but these did not detract from our comfort. The resort's facilities are a major draw. The breakfast at Tempus Fugit was easily the best we had on the island, offering an incredible variety of high-quality options. The adults-only Sun Pool was a tranquil retreat, perfect for swimming and relaxing in the jacuzzis. However, the resort's most irreplaceable asset is its beach. The private bay features powder-soft sand and clear, calm waters, creating a pristine environment that never felt crowded. We thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary high-quality kayaks and paddleboards. It is, in our opinion, the best beach on Phu Quoc. In conclusion, our stay was defined by three key strengths: Outstanding Staff: The personalized and professional service, exemplified by Kevin and Dora, made a significant positive impact. Architectural Beauty: The entire resort is stunningly designed and incredibly photogenic. Superior Beach Experience: The private beach and its associated activities are simply unparalleled on the island. We highly recommend the JW Marriott Phu Quoc for a luxurious and memorable getaway. It's an experience we would gladly repeat.

They made our experience truly memorable. ​The concept of the resort, modeled after the fictional Lamarck University, is absolutely brilliant and something I truly liked. This theme elevates the resort from just a beautiful beach property to an engaging, immersive experience. ​The amenities, including the stunning pools and the gorgeous beach, are excellent, but it's the combination of the spectacular design and the genuinely warm staff that makes this resort stand out. ​I would highly recommend the JW Marriott Phu Quoc for anyone looking for a luxurious, stylish, and deeply engaging resort experience. It's truly one of a kind!

I must admit I was a little sceptical about the Lemarc university concept however I left a very happy customer. The key to it's success are the staff - shout out to May, Simba and Nga (oh and of course the Magnificent Lee!) who all played their part in looking after the fam. The beach is clean and safe, the rooms are created with so much detail it's very different from a normal Marriott experience. It's all maintained with great care and attention to a high standard. It would be great if there were more food options within the complex, also a tennis court would be a needed addition...also think of using the small running track/pitch for kids events eg mini olympics etc....

If you come to Phu Quoc, this place is a must. This is the 5th time I came to Phu Quoc and the 5th time I went to this place. Every stay at JW Marriott Phu Quoc is a seamless blend of luxury, comfort, and world-class hospitality. By the time you arrived to the hotel, you already see the "kick" by welcoming host and the crew team. Everyone is very nice and dedicated. However, what truly elevates the experience each time is the exceptional service from Kaori — her professionalism, grace, and attention to detail are second to none. She ensures every visit feels personal and memorable, setting a new standard for excellence. From the first time I met her in 2022 until now, she always improves and enhances her customer service to the top-knot. This resort remains my top choice on the island.

Incredible atmosphere - breakfasts that may not beaten anywhere in the world. Staff were exemplary and we felt incredibly well looked after. The rooms are fascinating and the whole ambience of the hotel is exceptional. Aside from us having to share the hotel for the first three days with delegates of an air conditioning conference, we were blown away by the experience. It’s expensive by local standards - markedly so compared to some of the other five star resorts. But we were delighted by the experience and only wish we could have stayed longer. In particular the staff in the breakfast were incredibly helpful. I would love to go back.

This is such a wonderful venue to stay. Even though many people choose this hotel, the facilities never feel crowded, and your privacy is well respected—whether at the swimming pool, the beach, or the walking areas within the property.||The staff are truly exceptional—approachable, proactive, attentive, and always smiling. As a yogi, I especially appreciated the many beautiful spaces available for practice: spacious and picturesque rooms, the beach, the poolside, and the grassy areas. Every corner of the hotel feels thoughtfully designed and carefully maintained. We honestly couldn’t have enjoyed ourselves more.||The breakfast selection was outstanding, offering a wide variety—from Asian cuisines (Korean, Vietnamese, Japanese, Taiwanese) to Western favorites, with excellent cheeses, fresh bakeries, and even ice cream.||Our favorite spot in the room was definitely the bathroom, with its beautifully designed bathtub and elegant decorations. And for those who are sensitive to colors, this is the perfect place—harmonious and pleasing in every detail.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Best Hotel Experience We’ve Ever Had! We honestly can’t rate the JW Marriott Phu Quoc high enough — it’s beyond exceptional. First and foremost, it’s the people who make this place so special. Every single team member we met was kind, genuine, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. A huge shoutout to Lucy, Quan, Marcus, Nhu, and Nancy — you made every meal a joy. So attentive, friendly, and accommodating, and somehow always one step ahead of what guests needed. Jessica and Sang were also incredible, making sure everything about our stay was perfect from start to finish. It was lovely seeing Ian and John around the resort — always smiling and checking in with guests. You can tell the staff here are happy and supported, and that positivity flows through the whole hotel. The culture appears very happy! Our suite was absolutely stunning — spotless, beautifully designed, and filled with thoughtful touches from the amazing housekeeping team (who even left us a few sweet surprises along the way). The entire resort looks brand new — it’s hard to believe it’s been open for eight years. You can really see how much care and pride goes into maintaining it. Even with some light maintenance during low season, it never once disrupted our stay. The beach and pools were peaceful and pristine, and you could barely tell any work was happening at all. Speaking of the beach — wow. Soft, spotless sand and crystal-clear, calm water. The team even tends to the beach daily to keep it immaculate. The pools are beautiful, serene, and spotless, with a relaxing vibe wherever you sit. The gym is great too — and Khanh deserves a special mention. Such a fun, friendly guy who’s always up for a chat and happy to help arrange diving or snorkeling. Super knowledgeable and just an all-around great energy. There’s so much to explore within the resort — little shops, unique activities, and a beautiful day spa (the team there are amazing, too!). And then… the food. Absolutely next-level. The breakfast buffet is honestly the best we’ve ever experienced — everything you could possibly want and more. From fresh sushi and miso by Rafael, to delicious Vietnamese specialties and western classics, it was all exceptional. But the real star of the show is Gin, the pastry chef! We works alongside Achyar and his apprentice Ha. Gin went above and beyond when he found out we were sugar-free creating pastries and desserts just for us(and they were DELICIOUS!). A big thanks also to Achyar for surprising us with sugar-free treats at breakfast. These guys are incredibly talented and so kind — true highlights of our stay. We also loved the French café, where we did a fun cooking class with Gin — it’s the perfect cozy spot to read or relax during a rainy spell. All in all, this was hands down the best hotel experience we’ve ever had — not just because of the stunning property, but because of the people. The warmth, care, and attention to detail from everyone made it unforgettable. We will 100% be returning. Thank you, JW Marriott Phu Quoc — you’ve set the bar impossibly high!

The hotel is absolutely amazing with brilliant service. We joined the lantern workshop this afternoon — it was such a delightful experience! Tho and Phu were incredibly helpful and professional, guiding us seamlessly through each step of the lantern-making process. The lantern is foldable, making it easy to bring home — a must-do activity if you have time!
