Pizza Sushi Is a Viral Hit — Is It Any Good?

"A small Midtown Korean spot known for an excellent $12 six-wing lunch plate with flavor options like curry and a sweet “snow cheese” powder; the unsauced original wings have a thick, crunchy coating that adheres well to the skin, the sweet-and-spicy sauce has a sticky, fruity base, and attentive service includes a plastic glove, a cup for bones, and a side of kimchi that refreshes the palate — making it a top-value, quick sit-down option in the area." - Tammie Teclemariam

Google
The cheese wings is soooo good. And the cheese rice cake is soooo addictive-taste like chips. Both have the perfect amount of flavoring and crisp that other places can’t do. I would def get the wings if you’re there. It’s a bit tight in there but solo dining is welcomed! Staff members were kind and helpful.

Google
Tenders here are so delicious 😋 I got the soy garlic and..juicy, crispy, flavorful and tender. The Bulgogi over rice, though not much for the price in my opinion, was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Great ambiance and good staff.

Google
Don't get the ddukbokgi. It's the instant pack that you would make yourself. I was actually really disappointed. Kimbap was okay, but dry and again overpriced. I don't mind paying a lot if they actually tasted normal. I get it, we're in the city so I expect the pricing to reflect that compared to the suburbs. Chicken wings were probably their best items which makes sense because that's what they are known for. BUT beware if you are not familiar with Korean wing flavors. I liked the powdered cheese flavor. It's sweet and fun, BUT my husband hated it and barely wanted to finish it. Spicy soy garlic was delish. I have pictures added because the food looked good, but just disappointing. The vibes and service were great and the interior is unique/fun.

Google
One of “The Best wings” I have had. They are super crisp on outside glazing with your choice of flavor and moist & juicy in the inside. Oh and they are big fat wings with lots of meat which falls of the bone. I was liking the bonnie ends and my fingers for that mater. 6 large piece for $12 and I had happy full tummy, highly recommended if you are in the midtown and need quick bite that is delicious.

Aleksandra K.

Google
The place was okay, but I’ve had better Korean food. A bit of a downside was that the egg in the bibimbap was fully cooked. The fried chicken was fine. I don’t think I’d come back a second time. The tables were a bit sticky. Service was okay.

Google
This is the spot for $12 Korean Fried Chicken! It’s such a good deal and the wings are fat and juicy. The snow cheese is a must order flavor 🤤 We also ordered the kimbap, army stew and rice cake skewers. Great find for casual Korean bites at a good price

Google
Stumbled on this amazing Korean spot K-Bap & Wings (62 W 56th St, NYC) near my Midtown office—total lunch savior! Their $12 made-to-order fried chicken is crunchy (soy-garlic = K-drama vibes; cheese bomb = oozing goodness). The army stew (spicy-cheesy broth, ramen + spam) is perfect for cold days—cozy & satisfying. The bibimbap (runny yolk, fresh veggies) balances bold flavors, and the kimbap (spicy tuna/beef) is crunchy & addictive. $20/person for so much deliciousness and 10/10 will be back!

Monsour’s E.

Google
The restaurant gives off a strong Korean vibe, especially with the Korean music playing in the background. The bibimbap was hearty and absolutely delicious—especially the chicken, which was flavorful and well-cooked. I also enjoyed drinking Milkis, which complemented the meal perfectly. Overall, it was definitely worth the price!

Yelp
It was a small restaurant but the food was amazing and the service was fast and friendly!

Yelp

Yelp
K-Bap & Wings fills up upper midtown's desperate need for a watering hole. I walk in and it never fails to amaze me the diversity of their patrons. You have your weebs, loners (me), stoners, bros, and all types of hoes. For me, I'm always struggling to find something to eat in this neighborhood that doesn't require a full course meal. And I suspect many others considering how rowdy it gets. Enter K-Bap & Wings. I normally opt to try many different items before writing a review but every time I've come back, it was always for one thing: their curry wings. Their snowing cheese is great too but as far as I'm concerned, the curry wings is an nyc item unique to them. If you're looking for something other than your soy garlic or hotter-than-a-K-pop-star, I hiiiighly advise the curry wings. It's not Korean curry (do they even have a curry?), it's good ole-fashion Jamaican curry from the supermarket but it's sold everywhere for a reason (the reason is it's delicious). Side note: try curry powder on your pizza, you won't be disappointed. The staff always seems frantic but that's the standard for our economy while surviving on slim margins. Maybe we should stop paying federal taxes and take care of our own. It's a great place to solo dine and deepthroat some chicken and probably an even greater place to bring your friends because there always seems to be a group enjoying themselves at the big table.

Yelp
Very disappointing experience. This was what made me realize that I really can't blindly trust online reviews of restaurants anymore on social media. Ordered wings and soondubu after hearing good things about this place. I'll admit, the wings themselves were decent, hence the 2 stars instead of 1. But when we asked for pickled radish, which is a staple pairing with Korean fried chicken, we were given Vietnamese style pickled radish and carrots. Not only did it not taste good, but it completely missed the mark. Korean fried chicken and pickled radish go hand in hand. It's the most basic, non negotiable part of the experience. You can't claim to specialize in Korean food, especially Korean fried chicken, and not serve it properly. Then came the soondubu. I wish I could've taken a picture to show how watery and unappetizing it looked. We didn't even need to taste it to know how bland it would taste. We were absolutely appalled. I tried taking two bites to see if it would grow on me but I genuinely could not see myself taking another bite of it without being disgusted. It tasted like water with a sprinkle of pepper flakes. This was the first time in my life I ever requested a restaurant to take the food away and cancel the order. They eventually did, but with no follow up, no apology, and no effort to ask for feedback. The interaction came off as unfriendly, despite me being polite the entire time. Between the food and the service, the whole experience left a bad taste. There are plenty of better options in the city, for both wings and Korean food, and do not recommend coming here.

Yelp
My girls and when I say that I mean my daughters, I have three. They wanted to go for some Korean hotdogs on this Saturday weekend, but after checking Yelp pages and seeing pictures of Korean fried chicken, we decided to go with it instead of the hotdogs. We picked K-Bap because they had my middle teens favorite dish besides the chicken and that is Tteokbokki. We arrived and was ask did we make reservations, I stated no did I need them and was told no and put at a table in the corner that lacked the air conditioning. They made up for it though because I ask to move and it wasn't a problem like I thought it might've been. I'm happy to report everyone working here was pleasant. For the restaurant size the set up was nice because it wasn't really big. It was actually small but gave a very intimate atmosphere. I like it. They had monitors up throughout the restaurant playing videos of what my kids called K-Pop music, it was definitely their type of vibes. So you could come here with friends, family, or make it a date night. It was would be fine. So we decided to order some rice cake skewers, Bulgogi Kimbap, spicy ramen, Tteokbokki, banana milk, and of course the chicken. So here's the breakdown... Rice Cake Skewers- 4.5 could have been a bit crisper on the outside Bulgogi Kimbap- 3 it was ok, it lacked in flavor Spicy Ramen- 4 was not spicy at all but still very tasty Tteokbokki- 4 was tasty, but not the best we had before Banana milk- 4 tasted just like a banana now and later candy, It also was to small and pricey, still so good I brought one to go. Korean chicken 4.5, very good just not the best I've had. As you can see from the scores, we enjoyed everything. From the food to the atmosphere, it would be a place I would revisit. Thumbs up for me. Happy Yelping!

Yelp
Pretty good prices for good Korean fried chicken! Bulgolgi beef kimbap had very fresh ingredients, pretty big pieces. 6pc wings is very filling, I had spicy soy garlic and curry flavors and both were delicious! It's a casual restaurant with decent seating, you can be in and out pretty fast. The staff are extremely friendly.

Yelp
Craving Korean fried chicken? @kbabnwings has you covered! For just $12, you get 6 pieces of crispy wings & drumsticks with your choice of 2 flavors -- pick from originals like Soy Garlic, Spicy Soy Garlic, Sweet & Spicy, Snow Cheese, and so many more. Everything's made fresh to order and packed with flavor -- the chicken is seriously crispy, and the Army Stew? So flavorful it deserves its own spotlight They've also got appetizers, kimbap, bibimbap, soups & stews - basically, all your Korean comfort food cravings in one cozy spot. Perfect for a quick, delicious meal

Yelp
I love these narrow little hole-in-the-wall places serving up delicious food at a reasonable price. The specialty here is definitely the Korean Fried Chicken. However, the other items are nice too. Soy Garlic Korean Fried Chicken: The classic Korean Fried Chicken! Nice crispy skin. No fatty/soggy pieces. Plus flavorful marinade. They offered gloves, but I was fine using chopsticks. Sweet & Spicy Korean Fried Chicken: Definitely sweet, but not that spicy. Think I preferred the soy garlic more. Bulgogi Beef Kimbap: A nice mix of beef, pickled veggies and rice. Hit the spot. Though tasted like it was made earlier in the day, instead of rolled fresh to order. Tteokbokki: Chewy rice cakes and lots of nice spicy sauce. The fish cake part was ok, but a tad fishy. Snow Cheese Fries: Kinda tasted like they sprinkled the cheese packet from Kraft Mac & Cheese on top of fries. A little weird, but also addictive.

Yelp
WARNING: These wings are dangerously addictive. Crispy and packed with bold Korean seasoning. My go-to? Snow Cheese--a perfect dusting of cheesy goodness that's seriously addictive. Prefer something with a kick? The spicy garlic is a must-try for heat lovers. These wings might just ruin all others for you... don't say I didn't warn you. Yelp
Beef bibimbap was a rip off, there was barely any beef in the bowl. The wings were decent but the sauce on them does not sit well, quite sticky and chunked. Wings are surprisingly large. Service-wise, the order was created quickly and was clean and accurate. Cozy restaurant with plenty of seating. Likely will not be returning.

Yelp
A good spot for Korean fried chicken in a casual setting. I was in the mood for rice and was pleasantly surprised to find a combination plate with fried chicken and rice on the menu. The chicken didn't disappoint- crispy, well seasoned, and absolutely delicious. The addition of a fried egg and pickled radishes rounded out the dish nicely. Service was prompt and efficient. The ambiance is very casual and a bit noisy. Space is pretty tight; my party was squeezed in-between two other groups at a communal table, separated by dividers. Not a big issue, and the food was more than good enough for us to enjoy ourselves.

Yelp
Amazing fried chicken in this place, very affordable at a good price, customer service was great i was treated well, and overall a good experience

Yelp
This was my first time trying Kbap. I like the wood aesthetic they have going on and the service was great. The Korean fried chicken was really crispy and I liked the variety of flavors. I'm not a big fan of tteokbokii but the skewers were good. The glaze was light which made it better for me to enjoy. I never had snow cheese flavor until this spot so I got it on the fries and it's an interesting flavor. Really good on the fries. I had to get the Korean banana milk. Besides that I didn't really like the rice cake in the red sauce and the rice bowl. The flavors were throwing me off.

Yelp
K-Bap and Wings can easily be missed because the entry way is almost hidden between two other restaurants. The block also has a variety of other restaurants to dine at which also makes K-Bap easy to miss. However, once you walk into this tiny narrow establishment you will be amazed with the food. The chicken wings are delicious with excellent breading and a tender meat. I had sweet and spicy along with spicy soy garlic and I was waiting for the spice to kick in but it never did. No matter, it was still delicious. If you opt for the tenders you get a ton of tenders. I think it is 200 or 300 grams of bite size "tenders". The bibimbap was also flavorful and an excellent dish. The spicy pork had a tad more spice than the wings. This place is awesome and not that expensive.

Yelp
Kbap & Wings is a homey Korean restaurant that has been opened in Midtown since 2005. You can find all your favorite comfort food here, from fried chicken to bibimbap, from army stew to kimbap. Fyr the spice level is no joke here. *Korean Fried Chicken Wings** We opted for the 6pc wings, which is ONLY $12! We tried two of their signature flavors: snow cheese wing is coated with cheese powder, while the other one is glazed in sweet, sour and spicy sauce. Snow cheese is very addictive if you like cheesy and crispy snacks. Unless you're very confident with your spice tolerance, otherwise think twice before you get the sweet and spicy chicken. Pity that our wings were only lukewarm. They would be more delicious if they were served hot. *Army Stew Army stew is so comforting even on a hot day. The pot has sausage, spam, pork and ramyun, and white rice served on the side. The portion size is hearty and you can definitely order one to share. The kimchi broth is a little spicy. *Seafood Pancakes The seafood pancake tasted bland on its own but the dipping sauce adds more tangy and sweet flavor to it. Our server is very sweet and attentive. She kept refilling water while we were dying from the spicy wings. They also value and take customers' feedback seriously when I reflected about the lukewarm wings, which I really appreciate it.

Yelp
The crunch on the wings here is phenomenal! I've had lots of fried chicken from Korean spots, but the crispiness and crunch level here was incredible. The flavors are also really strong. I recommend the Soy Garlic for sure! It's somewhat small but spacious inside at the same time because it is quite narrow. There was one server working there, but she was pretty attentive to every table despite how busy it got.

Aya E.

Yelp
Ordered: Bulgogi Box (~$23): with kimchi, japchae, rice, and miso soup 6pc Soy Garlic Wings (~$12) Beef Soft Tofu Soup (~$19): medium spicy, served with white rice Aya's take: We stopped by for a quick lunch since I was craving some Korean comfort food and what better than some Korean fried chicken and warm soft tofu soup!? The Soy Garlic Wings were really great! The wings were nice and crisp, the soy garlic was coated all over but wasn't too thick, and they were piping hot, The Beef Soft Tofu Soup was decent; plenty of tofu and a good portion of beef. The flavors were good but definitely nowhere close to some of the other spots in Ktown. The Bulgogi Box was the biggest disappointment, starting with the miso soup. It was one of the worst I've had and didn't taste like a typical miso soup. The bulgogi also appeared old/frozen and all the pieces were irregular sizes. The japchae and kimchi were the best items in the bento box. I would definitely skip that and stick to the Korean fried chicken here.

Yelp
Chicken is amazing!!! The wait was definitely longer than anticipated but still very worth it! Staff was locked in and kind, glad I stumbled upon this place! The inside felt crowded and ambience was loud, so I opted to take my order to-go! Good stuff.
google avatar

Yelp
Highly recommend this place. We had the wings and they were delicious. We ordered soy garlic and curry. Service was great, staff was friendly. Reasonably priced. My girlfriend looked this up while we were in Williamsburg. It was worth the trip. Definitely you have a new customer.
google avatar

Yelp
I love the wings here, they're super crispy and the flavors are unique. But my favorite dish is definitely the beef stone stew, it's perfect for the winter weather. The service is always very kind and I love how this place is super casual.
google avatar

Christina S.

Yelp
Really loved this place!! Stopped in for a solo dining lunch! They have plenty of spots for those who eat by themselves!! The chicken was super juicy and flavorful!! And the crispy rice cakes were phenomenal with the perfect amount of heat! Staff was very friendly as well!! Looking forward to going back next time I'm in the city

Yelp
I wish I could even rate my experience or even be able to experience the food. Sadly, I couldn't due to poor customer service. Yesterday, me and my friend went to try K Bap & Wings because we heard about it so much online. My friend barely even stepped in the door and the waitress told her there'd be no order taking at the time. Even though there were people leaving the restaurant, so there'd be tables available. As we were outside looking for a new spot (the waitress could see us standing outside), another party of 2 walked in. They were immediately seated by the same waitress who told us that they were not taking any orders. Me and my friend were shocked because once the waitress realized there was availability, she could've waved us in to come sit. It's safe to say that I will never be visiting this establishment again. This was such poor representation for a place that has such good ratings.
google avatar

Ivan P.

Yelp
My first meal at this place was memorable. They let the dining experience speak for the restaurant. Welcoming service personnel. K-Bap & Wings offers so many talking points I'm struggling to organize them. The restaurant executes with competence.

Yelp
@kbapandwings is a casual restaurant located in midtown! They sell a bunch of classic korean dishes, and are most known for their 6 for $12 KFC. ft: -chicken teriyaki bibimbap: came with a sunny side up egg, rice, bean sprouts! Super healthy, super delicious. I got the one in the hot stone. -sweet and spicy fried chicken over rice: The chicken had this apple cidery taste to it, and it wasn't too spicy! It came with kinchi and radish. The chicken was a good combo with the rice. -vegetable kimbap: Wow! I love kimbap. It was made nicely and easy to chew. The ingredients were very tasty! -soy garlic fried chicken: This was our favorite!!! I always get soy garlic when ordering KFC. The wings were super tender, flavorful, and AWESOME! -original fried chicken: This one is good for people that don't want too much seasoning! If you want something with more flavor to it, do get the other ones. Chicken was tender regardless! K-Bap & Wings follow @rebeccatakesnyc for more nyc content!

Yelp
Excellent service. Ambience reminds me of mom and pop food places in South Korea. Fried chicken wing original recipe is very good. Ramen with shrimps is very flavorful and will definitely come back to try other dishes on the menu.
google avatar

Wonjun S.

Yelp
I got the army stew, which was a good portion for the price. However, something in the soup was really salty and was pretty distracting from the flavor honestly. Also, the rice was a bit hard and didn't seem all that fresh. Very average army stew.. maybe I didn't order the right thing but I wasn't too impressed with the item. Service was fine, and the interior was spacious but was kind of dark and lifeless.
google avatar

Alex Z.

Yelp
it's a decent korean fried chicken place in midtown. the space is small and tight, i was by myself so i sat by the counter. The wings came out hot and fresh, it covered with so much sauce which is a little messy to eat. you get a free sode if you pose a picture to share on social and tag their business. if you want just a quick and easy wing without going to ktown , this is a great choice.
google avatar

Steph W.

Yelp
Ambiance (3/5): The inside is warm and cozy with a couple of dining tables. There is both counter ordering and seated service. The lighting is more on the dark side but no volume/music that you can hear. The table I sat at was sticky to touch. Service (4/5): The staff was courteous and literally jogged to get your food/requests. The food was ready in about 10 minutes. Bulgogi Bento Box (1/5): The lunch bulgogi bento box totaled to $18.45 (including tax)! This was not worth that cost at all. The bulgogi beef was low quality--it was dry and tough to chew. It lacked sauce and needed a side of hot sauce to rescue it. There was a slight sweetness and not enough saltiness/flavor.
google avatar

Sally S.

Yelp
Not so good soon tofu soup or bulgogi. We should have ordered what was in the name of the restaurant, other patrons seem to have ordered that.

Yelp
wow we are such tourists!!! walking into the moma only to see starry night and then walking straight out is lowkey so disrespectful but like damn we were hungry! i had this place saved on my yelp for a while because i was in a mood for korean fried chicken and this place did not disappoint! their chicken was amazingggg. i think it was my first time having kfc in the east coast and dang that was so good. but their beef bulgogi stone pot was okay. it wasn't worth the price and it tasted extremely mediocre. but i guess that's why it's called kbap and wings cuz they're known for their chicken! so ya if you go here get their chicken! my friend and i highly recommend it and wow we ate that uppppp!

승훈

Yelp
honestly can't stop thinking about this place. Everything we ordered was incredible! We had the fried chicken, soft tofu stew, spicy pork rice bowl (jeyuk-deopbap), and tteokbokki and every single dish was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. The chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and so addictive. The soondubu jjigae was comforting and rich, with just the right level of spice. The spicy pork was tender and savory, and the tteokbokki had that perfect chewy texture with a sweet-spicy kick. On top of that, the side dishes were fresh and tasty, and the staff was super friendly and welcoming. The whole experience just felt warm, relaxed, and satisfying. This place is a hidden gem for anyone craving real, soul-satisfying Korean food. I'm definitely coming back again soon. Highly recommend!

Yelp
The wings are amazing! We got the sweet and spicy wings along with the garlic soy sauce. We also got the bulgogi bowl and it comes with an egg. The dumplings have a beefy inside and they do not skip on the meat they stuff them with. They were a little oily but I liked them. Must try!

Pppk K.

Yelp
The best Korean fried chicken! I love that there's so many flavors and Soy Garlic sauce was my favorite! The pork dumplings were really crispy. The service was very nice! I will definitely go there again!
google avatar

Maro S.

Yelp
Came here a few weeks back. Ordered the bibimbap and tteokboki. Food wise, it was either not authentic or it wasn't seasoned/prepped properly. For the tteokboki, the sauce was too watery, which makes me think they added too much soup or didn't add gochujang and just gochugaru. The bibimbap was okay, but for the price? Not worth it. Service was good and the only person working FOH was friendly!

Keanna R.

Yelp
food here is so delicious bro if i could come back every week i would. the place is cool and i like the mini tvs on the wall that play music videos for entertainment :) service is 10/10
google avatar

Esther L.

Yelp
Such good cheesy wings!! They have so many other unique flavors of fried chicken so yummy. Only thing is it's pretty crowded sometimes because it's so popular also their spicy wings are actually pretty spicy
google avatar

Emma L.

Yelp
Walked by this spot many times & glad I finally dropped in. The restaurant gives off Korean comfort food vibes. The soy garlic wings are absolutely delicious! I actually like them more than bb.q's. The tteokbokki was too watery for my taste & also lacked flavor while just being spicy. The sauce slipped off everything which was a bummer. I'll definitely be back for the chicken wings & to try other dishes. The waitress was also very kind & extremely attentive at refilling our water.
google avatar

Michael U.

Yelp
The food was absolutely amazing! Despite the place being pretty busy, we were seated in no time. In my opinion, they serve the best Korean fried chicken I've ever had. Highly recommend if you're craving something delicious!

Ronald P.

Yelp
They're the best! Love their curry and soy garlic wings! It was a great way to end our morning adventure biking through Central Park.

Hippyj M.

Yelp
Amazing food. Highly recommend!! impressed. The fried chicken was incredibly crispy on the outside, yet juicy and flavorful inside. Their signature soy garlic and spicy gochujang sauces were delicious and perfectly balanced. The banchan (side dishes) added a nice traditional touch. The atmosphere was cozy and modern, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Prices were reasonable for the quality. I'll definitely be returning to try more flavors. Highly recommend for any Korean food lover!p

Yelp
this place is good and the food smells really good&taste good aswell. Staffs are really nice and pretty. the place is also aesthetic.

Yelp
If i could give this place 0 stars i would. My friend and I were so excited to try the wings from here but when we got to the restaurant as soon as I opened the door the waitress proceeds to tell me they were not taking anymore people. Didn't follow up with a wait time or anything, we waited outside trying to find somewhere else to dine when we see a party of two walk in and they are greeted, the waitress asks them how many are in their party and she takes them to a table. I was speechless, what made them different from us? I will not be coming back which is a shame because the food did look good.

Yelp
Fast food style Korean food. Another hole in the wall below street level restaurant near our timeshare, sparsely populated Friday 11:30am. Fast food style ordering at the counter, and then seat yourself. Got the $15 bulgogi combo while wife got the $12 Japchae Teriyaki Chicken. Meal comes with hot tea. Takes about 6 minutes for our meals to arrive Wasn't too crazy about the kimchee, nor the pickled noodles. Loved the warm Korean glass noodles with cucumbers, and the bulgogi beef over white rice, with half a hardboiled egg dipped in soy sauce on the side. Wife's dish looked like a mountain of food, but was largely white rice and Korean glass noodles, with sliced scrambled egg, and a small portion of boneless teriyaki chicken. Meat serving could be larger, but what do you expect for $12. I ended up eating much of wife's white rice, while she finished off the kimchee, leaving the pickled noodles. Coming back here if for no other reason than to get the free two sodas with a Yelp review sign!

Nikki B.

Yelp
Drove a few hours to the city for my birthday and was so excited to try this place for dinner. We walked in at 8:30pm, their hours said open until 9. We walked into a busy restaurant on a Saturday night only to quickly be told by a waitress that the kitchen was closed. Annoyed and petty, I went on their website and placed a pick up order which magically the closed kitchen had ready for me in 15 minutes. Service was a 1 star, but I'll give them 2 stars because the Spicy Soy Garlic chicken was pretty damn good.

Yelp
My bulgogi bento box was sooooo good! It had everything I wanted in one dish! Also got beef Bibimbap, and dumpling soup! Perfect for the cold weather!

Yelp
I grew up in S CA with a TON of Korean friends - the food brings back great memories. I have the kimchi jjigae whenever I'm feeling under the weather - the spiciness and hot soup clears up my sinuses real quick! And I love the bibimbap bowls. I've tried the ramen during the winter too. Totally satsifying, homemade tasting, traditional Korean food for reasonable prices. Many veggie friendly options too. A nice break when you're craving Asian food but something different from traditional Chinese or Thai. Highly recommend!
