If you're on the hunt for amazing sushi that won’t break the bank, Sushi Gallery is an absolute hidden gem. Honestly, I’m surprised more people don’t know about this place. Every time I order, I’m blown away by how fresh the fish is, especially given how affordable it is. I usually grab Togo, so I get a few orders of nigiri and a whole bunch of rolls, and it’s always spot-on. The consistency here is unreal—the flavors never disappoint, and the presentation is always on point. What really sets this spot apart though, is the service. It’s always so friendly and efficient, whether you’re ordering in person or picking up. They’ve got this laid-back, welcoming vibe that makes you feel like you’re a regular, even if it’s your first time. Sushi Gallery proves that quality sushi doesn’t have to come with a hefty price tag. If you haven’t been yet, do yourself a favor and check it out—it’s the best kept secret in town!

Sushi Gallery is hands down one of the best-kept secrets in town. This cozy, family-owned spot has been serving up fresh, high-quality sushi for over a decade—and the prices are ridiculously affordable for the quality you get. The fish is always super fresh, the rolls always hit the spot, and all their tempura (fried dishes) tastes super clean and feels guilt free. What really makes this place stand out, though, is the warm service. The staff treats you like family, and there’s a sweet, homey vibe with little touches like cute origami art around the restaurant. It’s clear they put a lot of love into everything they do. I always get a whole bunch of nigiri (so fresh!), the Cerritos roll or the hot night roll, and the mushroom bomb! Seriously, this place is a must-visit if you’re craving sushi that’s both delicious and reasonably priced. You won’t regret it!

I’ve passed by this place many times but finally stopped by to try it. It’s a cozy restaurant run by family who make you feel like guests at their home. I’m a huge fan of salmon, and they did NOT disappoint with the quality of their salmon nigiri. I also ordered the hot night roll, which has become one of my favorites with the spicy tuna mixed with the sweetness of the eel sauce. I also highly recommend the shrimp lovers roll. Everything here was so delicious and super affordable as well. If you love sushi, definitely give this place a try.

Always pass by this place and wanted to try it. My wife and I finally stopped by but it wasn't the experience we expected. The server was really nice and she did her best but there were some issues. The biggest thing I disliked was the menu, for salads it only says the name, we need to know what's in the salad too!! So I asked the server and she wasn't sure, it was kind of odd. The other thing I disliked was the size of the sashimi, very thin slivers of fish, not the nice thick hunks of sashimi that I'm used to at most sushi restaurants. This size fish was not satisfying. The quality of the fish and selection was also just okay. I left disappointed and hungry. We will not be coming back here.

Google
This Sushi place pretty good!!! The sashimi was pretty small but the price was affordable. We spend $30 on two roll, 4pc of salmon sashimi and hot tea. They also have amazing origami art.

Google
This place was reasonably priced and tasty. Not top quality like "Jiro dreams of sushi" good but still a nice little hole in the wall spot. This is a family restaurant run by the Chang family. Service was really good and the tempura ice cream was delicious. But my favorite part was the ambiance. Very cute little spot with hand made origami art. Lots of cool origami anime figures.

This place is seriously SO GOOD! I'm definitely coming back ☺️ I'm no expert but the fish quality was amazing and sushi was a good size!

Came with my gf for the first time and got the lunch special (2 Rolls and 3rd is free). Bill was less than $20. I judge sushi by it's rice and this place got it right. The prices are great too. Other places have their rolls for $11-13 for 'special' rolls. I'm going to start supporting these guys for their awesome prices. Try it out.

Yelp
Small mom-and-pop shop in a little plaza that's easy to miss. When we walked in, the place smelled delicious. I mean, I was ready to walk back in the kitchen and grab some food because it smelled so good. If you order 2 rolls, they let you pick a small salad or miso soup to go with it (dine-in only). We ordered 4 rolls so we tried both. I'm still not sure what the dressing on the salad was, if it was watermelon or strawberry, but it tasted like a chunky balsamic vinegrette so if you're into that the salad is good. Miso soup was also good, lots of tofu bits in there to enjoy. The service was pretty quick but that was partially because they were pretty empty the night we went in. They helped us order some stuff slightly off-menu, like we wanted seared salmon for the salmon roll so they let us do that. We also tried their sweet rice special. I really like crispy rice so I liked it. It was like a sweet rice wafer that had been baked a little bit so I liked it a lot. 4 rolls + this was more than enough for 2 people (we took food home). I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys sushi.

Yelp
Love that it's a local place, the decor, and the reasonable prices. Didn't love so much how thin the fish were cut on top of the rolls. It was overwhelmed by the rice and the rest of the roll. It would have been so much better to have even a slight thicker cut so one could taste the fish. We got two rolls for takeout and was told 15-20 minutes even tho they had just opened and there were only two other tables. It came out quicker than that tho, so kudos. I didn't realize I had eaten here and reviewed it more than 6 years ago. That's says something I guess.

Yelp
This is one of the best family own local sushi spots. The staff is so sweet and attentive. The food is delicious 10/10 (best bento box and albacore rolls). They have origami decor all around, which you cant help but admire. If you like to dine in an intimate spot with great hospitality and food, this is a must.

Yelp
My go to spot for sushi! Everything was super yummy, fish is fresh and delicious. My fav is the crispy rice and the service is always 10/10!

Christina H.

Yelp
I came in with my friends and, as usual, Sushi Gallery did not disappoint. We ordered the Cerritos Roll and some escolar--both were absolutely delicious! The quality of the fish is always top-notch, super fresh, and flavorful. We've been coming here for a long time and it's consistently one of our favorite spots. The staff is friendly, the service is great, and the vibe is chill. Highly recommend if you're in the area and craving good sushi!

Yelp
9.19.20 I decided to treat myself for a prebirthday meal and chose to Sushi Gallery because of the origami creations from someone's yelp review and it was a lot closer to my shop and here's my first impression. Very small indoors but enough to seat 5 ppl at the sushi bar, and perhaps 4-5 tables to seat maybe 25 ppl. It is in a plaza with numerous Korean restaurants, liquor store, and a Fantastic Cafe, too. Plenty of parking. The menu is quite simple, perhaps few rolls that most of us are familiar with; rainbow roll, California Roll, Dynamite roll, and hand rolls , sashimi and I liked that the albacore roll was the first thing mentioned. Plus they do have decent lunch menu and quite affordable from $15.99- $19.99 depending on what you like. I really don't care for shrimp but they do offer some. And if you buy 2 rolls, they give you soup and salad with your meal. It was fairly quiet, and the service was super awesome. I dropped my chopstick and the chef quickly gave me a new pair. Here I was lazy to ask for one and they noticed it right away. Love the service!! And I asked who created these beautiful origami dragons and other animal ones and Tim the owner created them all. Superb and talented!! The Albacore sushi roll was super duper good and the salmon hand-roll was awesome too. Enough food for me. Second day I craved more sushi and returned 9.21.24 at 2:25p and luckily caught them before closing till dinner menu at 5pm. I did not know that Saturday they close midday from 2:30p-5p and Tim was super cool in taking my order as long as I was taking it to go. And this time the poke bowl:) Yummy choice and had him change the fish selection to just albacore, my favorite and indeed it was my actual birthday lunch to go they gave me miso soup too. Gosh the fish is fresh and I ate that poke bowl quick!! The server remembered me and happy I returned for another sushi treat. I love smaller restaurants and Tim has had the Sushi Gallery for 18 years here at this location. Very cool it's only 7 mins from me and the 91 freeway on ramp is a block away from the plaza!!! Yay !! Now, Why a 4? Well, I really do wish there were more big slices of fish on the poke and the roll. But decent enough during these " trying" times of 2024. Ok im being emo for sure.

Yelp
I have not been here in a while, although it used to be one of my favorite places. I came back here after sometime gone, and it's just like I never left. Love the service love the food and love the quiet ambience. There is some fabulous origami on the wall, framed, and the sushi chef is the one who does that origami, and it is amazing! We ate the Cerritos roll, the baked sushi, roll, and the scallop lovers roll, and they're all absolutely delicious. They're also quite a good size, so for the two of us we couldn't finish three rolls. You definitely get what you pay for, which is good size sushi rolls with yummy taste! Our miso soup even showed up with heart scallions! The owner, Tim, makes some amazing origami and has it framed throughout the restaurant.

Yelp
My mission in life is to try as many Japanese restaurants as I possibly can. The one thing I've noticed is that most Japanese restaurants tend to be similar in cuisine. Sushi styles are also very similar in the way it's made from the filling, the toppings and sauces used. The thickness of slices tend to be the same, however here at sushi gallery, the positive side is the slices are not paper thin that you can see through it. Their tempura was good. Service was excellent. I would come back.

Yelp
My first time experience at this restaurant was chef kiss!! I really enjoyed their spider roll and hot night roll and my boyfriend said they have the best Philadelphia roll and I must say he's right. The cute decor and calm ambiance is perfect for date nights and family gatherings. The service is also very attentive and friendly. This is my new favorite sushi spot and will be coming again!!

Yelp
Sushi gallery is such an amazing spot! I've been coming here for years. It's small but the service is outstanding! The ambiance is more on the quiet side since it's small and intimate. If you're looking for a quiet good quality sushi spot, this is your place!

Yelp
The ambiance is always so peaceful here. The food is fresh and delicious and the service is amazing. You will aways feel welcomed here!

Yelp
If you're in the mood for authentic, mouthwatering sushi, look no further than Sushi Gallery, a cozy hole in the wall restaurant nestled between Norwalk and 166th Street. This family owned sushi restaurant may be small in size, but makes up for it in flavor and quality. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted like family. The atmosphere is intimate and welcoming, with a homey vibe that makes you feel right at ease. The sushi here is absolutely outstanding. The fish is always fresh, and the rice is always seasoned perfectly, makibg each bite a satisfying experience. Whether you're a sushi aficionado or a first timer, there's something for everyone on the menu, from classic rolls such as California Rolls and Philadelphia Rolls to their own unique rolls like the Cerritos Roll. My favorite has to be the Baked Scallop Roll. I usually am not a fan of eel sauce, but the way they make it here is so freakin' good. Absolutely a must try. The service here is friendly and attentive, yet never overbearing. Since it's a smaller space, it feels like a more personal experience for sure. I WILL BE BACK!!!

Yelp
The sushi tasted amazing!! Super fresh and tasty. The service was also great!! They played really good music too

Yelp
There are so many sushi restaurants around these days. I like Sushi Gallery when I'm in Cerritos because they are always ready to serve best quality food. Kay had a beautiful sushi plate with miso soup Esther chose the teriyaki / California roll lunch. I picked ten soba. Wow! First the tempura was abundant and crispy with dipping sauce. The nori topped two large mounds of soba was perfectly prepared. The star of the show was the interesting daikon, wasabi, and green onions on the side to be added to the chilled soba sauce. Delicious hot tea was served often. Priced right at $100 for four people. They also have Korean party trays.
google avatar

Yelp
Neighborhood sushi place serves up great sushi, sashimi and udon. Portions are a bit on the smaller side, especially the sashimi slices, but freshness makes up for it. They close early and sometimes during the day, so make sure to check hours before heading down

Yelp
Hands down one of the best sushi spots in Cerritos. The sushi is always fresh and yummy. The service is absolutely amazing and the pricing is reasonable- especially for the sushi platters!! The sushi platters are the best!

Paul C.

Yelp
This restaurant is very clean, has delicious food, and friendly staff. Food preparation speed is very fast with great quality. We will be coming here often for lunch. I recommend Sushi Gallery if you like Japanese food.

Yelp
Legit low key sushi spot! A nice escape from Friday night traffic leading into LA. I had the Cerritos roll bento box, and was impressed by the high quality ingredients and the generous portions! The dining area, tables and bathroom were clean and it wasn't too crowded. Very happy I made the detour! I hope to be back.

Yelp
This place was absolutely amazing . Me and my girlfriend loved it ! We loved the ambiance inside but took our food to go . Decided to try the baked mussels and were not disappointed. Highly recommend this place !

Jack L.

Yelp
Combo and it was enough to fill up 4 people. The price was extremely cheap for the amount of food. This was our second time here at the restaurant and the food has not missed. It is a nice cozy family owned restaurant with great food that is affordable. If you guys want cheap and delicious food THIS IS THE PLACE. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! The service was also a 10/10, servers were attentive and very accommodating!!

Elizabeth H.

Yelp
The food and service was amazing. I loved the dragon roll and crispy rice. Definitely try the crispy rice!

Yelp

Yelp
Good local sushi place, love coming here alone and enjoying a nice meal and a drink. Chef is reasonable and everyone is friendly. It feels very homey and very limited seating which I prefer for a comfortable solo dining.

David ..

Yelp
This is my favorite local sushi restaurant! It's family owned and the family that runs it is always friendly. I always get the mushroom bomb. It's my favorite thing on the menu and it never disappoints. The mushrooms are soft and perfectly cooked with a crispy batter. This time, I got my food to go and ordered the mushroom bomb along with a spicy tuna roll and a dragon roll. Everything was good as usual. Highly recommend this spot if ur looking for great sushi at an affordable price

Yelp
Tucked in Cerritos is this small family owned business that has great food, great atmosphere, and amazing service. What more can you ask for?? It's not an ayce sushi restaurant, but the quality of their rolls and each sushi was *chef's kiss* I saw on their menu that they have tempura ice cream and was skeptical to try it, but who would've known tempura and ice cream were such a great dessert combo. 10/10 recommend!!

Ruben A.

Yelp
First time customer. The sunny beach roll was great. The staff was very welcoming aswell.

Yelp
My wife and I had been wanting to try this place for a while, but unfortunately, our first visit was a letdown. Our server was very nice and did her best, but there were several issues that made for a less-than-ideal dining experience. First, the menu lacked important details - for salads, only the names were listed, leaving us wondering what ingredients were included. When I asked our server for clarification, she wasn't sure, which added to the confusion. We were also disappointed by the sashimi. Instead of the generous, thick pieces we're accustomed to at most sushi restaurants, the fish here was cut into very thin slivers that left us unsatisfied. The quality and selection of the fish were just average as well. Overall, we left feeling disappointed and still hungry. down the line, we might try it one more time to see anything changes.

Stephanie L.

Yelp
This restaurant is the go-to sushi spot for my husband & me!! The quality of the fish is great, the people who work here are superb, and the atmosphere is very family-friendly, which is always a plus for us. 10/10 & we highly recommend this to all sushi-lovers. :)

Yelp
Went for Valentines and don't regret it. Amazing food and customer service, best sushi i've ever had and an absolute hidden gem in Cerritos. Food was cheap and a good amount of food.

Amy H.

Yelp
The ordered sushi's are "made to order', not salty but fresh. The green tea is very good. Especially when I was very tired, go here to order a 2 items combo and a cup of green tea, I felt relax the waitress is very friendly.

Yelp
For last minute new years eve food, I came to find this place on yelp for a reasonably priced sushi party platter. I am glad I came here because it was really good. The platter I bought has 24 sushi roll prices and 14 nigiri. It was perfect for the 4 of us. I also bought chicken teriyaki bento for my daughter (since she refuses to eat any form of sushi....weird). I will be ordering more platters for the near future from here.

Jae K.

Yelp
Been around Sushi Gallery for a while now, the lady who works there is attentive, and she's so sweet and kind. The chefs are professional, can make special rolls upon request if you have any allergies. The restaurant is pretty small, but their rotation seems fast, so we got seated pretty early. This place is a hidden gem, and I would highly recommend it!

Eric V.

Yelp
Small, lowkey restaurant that has the best quiet and comforting atmosphere. They have origami all around the area and the staff is super friendly and welcoming. Thank you so much to Luke for serving us and making sure we had a great time; I loved the rainbow roll and mushroom bomb here!

Caroline D.

Yelp
Sushi Gallery is a really comforting place! I love the homey atmosphere and the origami decorations all around. Everyone is super nice and service was amazing. The Eel Lovers Roll and the Dragon Roll are favorites of mine to order, not to mention everything is pretty affordable too. It's become one of my favorite places to go to and eat, I would definitely recommend.

Lauren K.

Yelp
My favorite sushi place! The miso soup is the best I've ever had. I love their rolls my personal favorite is the tuna lover's roll. Their portions are smaller and their menu isn't very big, the vibe is a small low key family owned joint. I always order to go so I can't say much on service but whether I call it in or order there, the workers are very friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
Best sushi I've had!! Love the quiet atmosphere! Server was really nice and polite I really recommend this place!!!

Yelp
feeling nostalgia of cerritos dons days and stopping by cerritos for a quick dinner...this small strip mall has been around for decades...stopping by sushi gallery and browsing the menu...standard offerings of sushi, rolls, udon, donburi, bento boxes and more...prices are quite reasonable with a basic bento box starting at $13.99 for chicken teriyaki...sashimi bowl at $15.99...rolls starting at $6.99 and premium rolls at $9.99 or $10.99 for most...bargain prices!...taking a deluxe sushi combo $19.99, one of the highest priced items on the menu with 12 pieces of sushi...provided a salad bowl first...nicely dressed, fresh and tasty simple salad...taking a can of soda to wash it down...sushi deluxe coming next...sushi was quite fresh and tasty...paying $28.50 total after tax and tip...

Yelp
The best sushi I've had in a long time! the sushi rolls Literally melts in your mouth! The service was excellent, very attentive. It's a little hole in the wall Gem! I can't wait to go back
google avatar

Jonathan N.

Yelp
Loved the food, service, and environment here! The sushi was made fresh and every roll was so delicious. The service was extremely welcoming. We had the mushroom bomb, tuna and salmon sashimi, spicy tuna roll, and more. I recommend dipping the sushi with gochujang and soy sauce if you like something spicier, because I loved it. I recommend getting the fried tempura green tea ice cream. It reminds me of Taiyaki ice cream. I loved this hidden gem and would definitely come back.

Yelp
YUM!! This place has been sitting in my bookmarks for a while, and I finally decided to give it a try. I'll start of with the PROS: - SUPER CLEAN interior! - Great selection of sushi & rolls. - Everything was fresh & rice was not overly seasoned or cooked (i hate when sushi restaurants overly season their rice) - Fast & efficient service - VERY AFFORDABLE! CONS: - Nothing!! Overall, I'm definitely coming back whenever I'm craving sushi. I started getting tired of AYCE sushi and had been looking for a solid spot, and this is it!!
google avatar

Jeenee Y.

Yelp
With very limited seating available I was lucky to grab a table for my husband and I. This place does look like a small hole in the wall "mom & pop" store and quality here is good! I enjoyed the assorted sashimi plate and of course I ate everything! Only downside (but I'm sure they fixed this problem) was the service. I believe the server was new? But i had to keep asking for things and that made me feel a little bad (when i shouldn't) Will give another try hopefully soon!

Quynh N.

Yelp
This is my favorite place to eat sushi. The sushi is always really fresh and tasty and the mushroom bomb is always a must every visit. Not only was the food delicious, but the family that owns the restaurant is always so nice and welcoming. 10/10 would recommend!!
google avatar

Andrew T.

Yelp
Found this place back in 2013 or so via Yelp. Owned by a very nice Korean family. Both my wife and I were shocked by the amazing quality of sushi and rolls they served and they have kept us as regulars ever since, despite us moving further north to West Covina. Fairly reasonable prices too. My absolute favorite thing on their menu is their Jumbo Shrimp Tempura Hand Roll. I always start and end the meal with one. Their shrimp tempura is so flavorful it's addictive. Other favorites include their Hamachi Toro nigiri, salmon, dragon roll, Cerritos roll, and Crunch roll (basically anything with shrimp tempura in it lol) Their lunch special was a great deal that comes with a Cerritos Roll plus 4 pieces of Salmon nigiri. Service is fairly prompt too so typically don't need to wait too long for the food. The only issue is the shop is fairly small. 3 tables or so plus counter space. Before Covid, there might be a wait when coming for dinner. Recently I guess people are more inclined to order takeout so there usually not as much of a wait. Highly recommend to any sushi lover!!

Eunhae H.

Yelp
One of the best sushi places in Cerritos/Norwalk area! Their udon is super unique and incomparable to other sushi places that have udon. The broth is mushroom based--very soothing and delicious! I purposefully come here just to get their udon broth! I absolutely love to start off with their mushroom bomb. The mushrooms are stuffed with crabmeat and some flavorful sauce! All their specialty rolls are amazing and delicious. My go-to rolls are the Caterpillar Rolls and Baked Scallop Roll. Their hand rolls are also delicious and massive! I ordered the Shrimp Tempura hand roll and that could have been a meal in it of itself! Also tried their chicken teriyaki bento, which is what you would expect at any other sushi place. Definitely coming back for their udon and I want to try their other speciality rolls like the Norwalk Roll and Cerritos Roll.

Partho M.

Yelp
Have been going to this place for a while. The sushi and sahimis are the best anywhere, variety and authenticity is above reproach and the service has a homely affection to it. The twin brothers who serve are very courteous and knowledgeable and the father the master chef. The pricing is reasonable for the quality. I love the warm simplicity of the place. One of the twins is a talented Origamist. Very nice place.

Yelp
A solid sushi place that's not AYCE. I love how clean it is and how fast the food comes out. Service is really quick and to the point. Also! Really dig the vibes here during lunch because you get some nice sunlight if you are seated by the windows.
