K1 Speed Burbank

Amazing experience at K1 Speed! The track is fast, clean, and very well organized. The go-karts are powerful and in excellent condition, which makes the racing super exciting. Staff members are professional, friendly, and explain everything clearly, so even first-timers feel comfortable and safe. The facility itself is modern, spacious, and well maintained. Great atmosphere, great competition, and a lot of fun whether you come with friends, family, or for a special event.

K1 Speed is an amazing place for fun and excitement! The track is clean, the staff is friendly, and the go-karts are fast and safe. It’s a perfect spot for kids, young adults, and even older people — everyone can enjoy it. Great choice for birthday parties, celebrations, and group events. We had such a great time, full of laughs and friendly competition. Definitely recommend if you want an unforgettable experience!

My nephews and I had a great time at K1. The cars were fast and responsive and both tracks offered their own challenge.And the staff were great. If you like Go-Cart racing K1 is a lot of fun. Pro Tip - if you’re looking to test your skills on each track to improve your times go during the weekday when they open.

Absolutely incredible experience. We did go on a Sunday evening and it was packed. Waited almost 2 hours for the race. But it was exhilarating. The carts are insanely fast, and the track is perfect. We will definitely be returning in the near future. $30 for a single race is very steep, considering the 2 hour wait to get on the track, but after racing, it’s well worth the price of admission.

Love this place. Employees or team members are awesome. So awesome in fact, I’m going to apply to work here part time to make friends and help the business out. The only downside when I was there last was the printer was down, so I didn’t get my stat sheet, and I had broken my speed records, so I don’t know where I’m ranked out of 19.7 million people, this was important to me because I was ranked 600k after my first race June 15th, and then ranked 270k in my second race and I shaved 2 seconds off my time since those races and got two first places, so I’m eager to get my results. Overall had lots of fun. There are two tracks, one being slightly smaller than the other but you get a few more laps around that one to make up for it. We did the smaller track and I felt like the time spent was enough. I do kinda wish it was cheaper, $30 for one race and one person seems too high, I feel like even $25 would be a bit better. We did two races and they put a random person with us (seemed like maybe it was worker both times), which sucked because they completed the laps faster than us so our time was cut short on the races. The cost and those additional drivers is my only complaint, everything else was great.

The experience is fun. The wait times are really, really long on the weekends. We bought tickets in advance that morning but it was at no benefit for getting a quicker turn around time. We waited about 3 hours to get into the queue for the kids to race. Unfortunately this is common on the weekends. Wish there was a better way to get into the queue so you didn't have to waste half the day sitting around, especially for the kids sake. Football and drinking beer is a plus while waiting.

Unbelievable experience. If you’re looking for a good time come to K1 in Burbank. From the moment we entered until we left we were taken care of and the service was top notch. Made me wish we had one next door to us. The people are the best part of the experience. Thanks again for having us.

Amazingly fun place for a birthday! Separate party rooms and they have staff that come in and out to let you know when your race starts. There's a lot of open, dead space in the venue so they could definitely liven it up a little more but it's otherwise a really fun place. I think it's probably somewhere that you'd want to bring at least a group of 4

Fun for birthdays, events but it is not for little kids. This is because they have a minimum height. You must be able to reach the pedals to race. I would say that this is for 10+ years old. Even if a kid meets the height limit as a 9 yr old or under, you don't want to have disappointed friends who can't race since they don't meet it. When you race, it has your name show up. The race times are also emailed to you later. Staff is there to help if you get stuck or bump into some car on the track. There are rooms for food setup up. You can have pizza and cake with tables in there. Or you can eat at the outside tables. There is a bar area where you can order drinks and a game area too. I don't know how it gets when they are really busy. We came on a Sunday morning so maybe many people were at church.

With The F 1 MOVIE breaking records, what better way to test your skills! Fast cars in a safety centric environment. The cool thing is they give you a print out after the race so you can have a record of how you improve, each time. VERY COMPETITIVE folks can enter the race series. Thank You to Daniel Nava for giving pointers to our racing kid. Highly Recommend.

It was my first time visiting this location -- I usually go to the Ontario one. This location is much smaller, and the wait was pretty long, but overall it was a good experience. We had a good time, the prices were decent, the track was clean, and the cars were in good condition. I'd recommend it for a fun time if you're in the area.

We went on a Friday evening and it wasnt so busy. We were beyond satisfied by the assistance we received from the track conductors Alex, Elijah and a girl whose name starts with J. All three attendants were super helpful giving us tips before we went on each race and were very friendly and kept us safe. I will return to this location SOLELY because of these people!

i was very fortunate to visit k1 speed on my company's dime :) we had a team building event at this location and we thoroughly enjoyed the racing and the food. we had the buffalo wings, barbecue wings, beef brisket slides and cheeseburger sliders. all of the food was delicious but the wait time was quite long. the racing activity was soooooo fun, we were all very competitive and loved comparing race times. i would love to have a party here, but be warned, the food will take a while. i quite liked the service. i was saying please and thank you to the staff, and one staff member said it had been maybe two weeks since they were last told please. cmon people!! these staff members work hard to ensure a safe and fun activity, the least we can do is have manners. all in all, i would recommend k1 speed.

I gave K1 five weeks to rectify this situation, and to nobody's surprise, they fell short...again! After they responded to this review I reached out to the email address provided. After three emails across 2 weeks and a threat to expose their performative actions (which is what is happening here), they finally sent my email to the Burbank manager. While he did send a pretty lengthy explanation of the events of this horrid day from his perspective and a sincere apology, there was not, and to this day still isn't, any remedy offered. Twice he asked me to come up with a solution, and when I finally communicated that the only resolution that would have any merit as this point would be a refund, he never responded. Trust all of these awful reviews, this place is a disaster, and I'm sure it is only a matter of time before intervention occurs.

We went in registered and had 2:30 wait. They added us to the plus and didn't say must pay to reserve. They told us just come at 4:30. We came back and they gave our spot and asked us to wait another hours. We left. They should fire everyone who work there. No wonder they have such bad reviews. Never again

Extremely disappointed with the experience at K1 Racing. I called earlier in the day to ask about their race schedule and mentioned that I'd be bringing my nephew later that evening. No one said anything about the possibility of stopping check-ins early if they got busy. We showed up around 8:50 PM, well before closing, and started signing in at their kiosk. An employee (Gisselle) stood there and watched us complete the entire check-in process without saying a word. Only after we finished did she decide to tell us, "We're not taking any more customers tonight." No sign, no heads-up, nothing. I explained my nephew is visiting from out of town and only here for a few more days. She couldn't have cared less. No apology, no empathy. I understand if you cut things off early when it's busy, but the complete lack of communication and basic courtesy is what really ruined it. This kind of customer service is unacceptable. Won't be coming back.

I had never ever been to a K-1 Speed before. It was my friend's birthday and she had a party there. We went to the K-1 located in Burbank. The place was easy to find , kind if in an industrial area. The parking was not ample and the spots were very tight, but it was no biggie . There was alot of street parking but I didn't read the signs so I am not street if it was okay to park out front. When we walked in we were immediately greeted by staff. They had us come over to the counter and they checked us all in. We had already filled our waivers out online to the check in process was pretty quick. They were extremely thorough when going over the rules of how the cars worked and what behavior was expected from everyone. They put us in groups and we were in our way. At first I was afraid to go fast for fear of topping over but once I got the hang of it , I was on my way and I never looked back They have a pretty cool arcade with alot of old school games It's a bit pricey but hey you only live once I had a blast and I hope to go back soon with a bunch of friends Go check it out !!! I'm only giving 4 stars because of the lack of parking Everything else was a definite 5 stars Oh and the food was delicious!!!!

The management of K1 Burbank reached out to me after this experience and issued me a refund. I have added some extra stars as I really appreciate that they were willing to take on the feedback and make things right.

It could've been fun, but the no air conditioning in the valley in the summer is not okay. seriously was hotter inside than outside and it's SUMMER IN THE VALLEY. those poor kids working there yikes. anyway everyone was drenched in sweat and miserable and there are no water fountains or free water at all which seems messed up. for the amount of money they charge they should be able to afford ac. and until they get one stay away

I love the arcade in the face mask to help you with the helmet also, pretty good racing

It is unbearably hot in here, hotter than outside. There is no AC, I thought I was going to pass out.

My son was invited when his friend celebrated his birthday here. They went on two races. Each race consisted of several laps, and they had a blast! There was enough crew to monitor traffic, safety and prep for each group going in. Enough helmets to rotate (disinfect, air out to dry, etc) You can order food and drinks while you wait for your turn to race. When it was time for the cake, the kids went to a small room that could seat around 30.

I was invited for someone's birthday party, and I had a blast! We arrived, signed waivers, were given masks, and hung around watching other races until it was our turn. We did 3 races. It was so much FUN! I had no idea they'd go that fast ( I actually thought we were doing bumper cars LOL, not actual go karts!) With each race, we received analytics on who was fastest, but not just for the whole race, but also who had the fastest lap that round. It was pretty cool! At the end, our top 3 racers were given trophies and got to stand on a podium for pictures. This was cute. I am already ready to go back. Totally recommend for anyone looking for some active fun at a good price!

My son came here for a birthday party with his Dad, and I brought him here for a play date with his friend, and what a disappointment! It's hotter inside than it is outside, they have no air conditioning! I asked a team member about the air and her response was that the building does not have air conditioning! I asked for water with ice and they would not give it to me, they said they don't give out water and they don't have ice! It's 100 degrees in here!! Lastly the attendant didn't tell us about the hour wait, she should have mention this... who's running this place?

Customer service including management is extremely poor! We go there all the time and every time there is an issue and we speak to a manager, it's like we are a bother! 06/01/24 took my son to race. Not only is the wait always ridicules but the experience like always is bad. To be honest if there was a closer location i would never come here! If my son didn't like to race, i would never bring him here! So the race for JRs started and me and a few parents realized that there was 1 car going faster than the rest! Not only did this car have an advantage over all the kids, but kept hitting and bumping cars on the way! This was very dangerous and a few parents got together and told them to stop the race!! The employe told us that that car was in a higher speed because he knew the kid!! We told him we are here all the time and its not fair! My son with the rest of the kids were extremely disappointed! We were asked to talk to the manager and he told us that he slowed down all the cars because this kid goes all the time!! This was a joke!!! I have spend thousands at this point there and will not return! The manager gave us an attitude and thought he was doing us a favor!! I don't recommend this place to anyone! The wait and service is terrible!!!! Waited over 2 hours for a fast race!!! Go elsewhere!!!

My son has been coming here for years and has been dedicated to racing in the junior league and has a real passion for it. But the karts at this location NEVER work correctly, they are constantly breaking down and ruining the whole experience for all of the kids. They are also continuously letting a kid who is clearly not the eligible height limit to drive the karts in the league and giving him preferential treatment and letting him choose his own cart (because he says he can only reach the pedals in one which means he is clearly too short to even be in the karts in the first place) We have spent countless hours and money here but as this keeps happening over and over again we are looking into some new options for our son tocontinue racing where he can actually get a full race in without the carts dieing or slowing down constantly

overall ... decent, The karts were in good condition staff was courteous and professional, they did their part to keep things moving, explain the rules, and make sure everyone was safely buckled in. Great place for first-timers or casual racers. the racing is heavily dependent on traffic. The track doesn't allow much room for overtaking, so you're at the mercy of the people in front of you unless you luck out with a faster heat. treat it like a time trial. Aim for clean, fast laps when the track opens up.

This place is horrible! I come in on Sunday, February 18, 2024 for my partner's birthday. I bought a race and my partner had a birthday race. We initially missed our first race and had to sign up again. We spoke to Clarissa who stated she had marked us down for the next race in 30 mins, we waited about 40 minutes until my partner went to go ask how much longer. To our surprise, she had never marked us down! Very frustrating and waste of our time! As a team member/supervisor/ team lead she is incompetent. Staff wasn't able to help me resolve the issue and I had to ask for a refund! Doubt I'll be back anytime soon! Horrible experience!

10 year old birthday party at K1 was a huge hit. Staff did a great job making everyone feel welcome and getting our food out on time. They assisted with every request. The rest of the team on the track were great about explaining how the go carts worked. This was the first time most of the kids ever operated any kind of car like this, and they had an absolute blast. We topped off the driving experience with some arcade games, and it turned out to be a perfect afternoon. My daughter was thrilled.

I was hoping to have a happy updated review. We came here on August 5 again for the Tuesday once a month League racing for teens. We signed in and paid at 5:50. They let us know that at 6:30. They would start the races which they did around 6:30. They spoke to the children and then the races began. I was actually surprised everything looked to be running great races were going well. I didn't see almost any accidents. I didn't see any carts being Exchanged or broken. And he is the HUGE downfall. At 8 PM I started to notice they were doing regular races so I went to the front to see when they were gonna call My Son and they couldn't find him in the system when they found them. They say oh you're here but they never unenrolled you in a race. And of course unfortunately My Son missed the competition. They told me they could add him to a regular race, but we'd have to wait two hours mind you we had already been waiting two hours. I asked for a manager no manager was available. I asked for a refund. They said a manager needed to give a refund I spent over $100 and not to mention My Son missed his game and I left work early in order to attend to this since it's only once a month and my son loves coming. My Son was so disappointed. He was so excited about this day as it's only once a month and he left crying and disappointed and heartbroken. Called the next day. I spoke to the manager they were able to give me a refund on just the race, obviously not and all the money that we also spent there by coming. This K1 really needs to get it together!! Do better for the kids this is unexceptable to be treated like this.

The worst experience ever! You'll just throw your money away. 1) We came on Tuesday, when the third ride is for free if you buy 2. We bought 2 and didn't get the third ride. But our friends, who also paid $120 for 2, got 3 rides. Why? Have no idea 2) During the second ride one car of our friends lost speed and the race was stopped. Then the car was changed, but anyway it wasn't complete ride. If you pay $60 for 12 minutes you expect something more than that. 3) Old cars with bald tires. Helmets are really scratched Don't go there, you get nothing but bad mood for high price.

We got here at 12, I was told my turn will be at 1:15. We waited until 1:40 and they said another 20 min. Like really if its 2 hr wait u should let me know so I dotnt. And side note ---- there was a birthday party and only that birthday party kids did many rounds while we are here waiting like an idiot . Avoid avoid avoid !!!!

BROKEN AIR CONDITIONING?! For months according to your staff?! What kind of scam are you running?! To not even offer your guests free water in this heat is one thing, but to expect your staff to work in these conditions is unconscionable. Shame on you. I will not be returning.

I've been a loyal customer at K1 Speed, spending hundreds of dollars on races, but my recent experience was beyond frustrating. I've raced in leagues and understand the rules, but at this location, Dennis (the bald guy/track operator) unfairly slowed down my kart in two separate races. The impacts weren't my fault--aside from one minor hit--yet I was penalized while reckless drivers went unchecked and kept hitting me. Another racer, a dad in the same race, had the exact same issue. This track needs a better system for handling race incidents fairly, or they'll continue to lose experienced racers like me

I have spent countless hours and money at this K1. My son loves racing here and loves being part of the junior league. And the majority of the staff is great. But the carts are all falling apart. There is rarely a league night race that makes it all the way through without multiple cart swaps and problems. The experience is painful and frustrating for the kids and parents. I wouldn't recommend coming here until they upgrade the carts and maintenance of them.

This place is cool for casual races. But if you want to join the K1 GP races, don't waste your time. Some of the staff are cool and pretty fair but it's pretty obvious some of the staff members hook up their friends with the fastest karts each Tues and Sun. Its literally a waste of time and not worth going. Thanks for the cool staff members for tryin to make things cool bit it really is a waste of time due to the crappy workers.

Came on a holiday and it was completely booked-understandable. They told us our queue was 2-3hrs. We came back in time just for them to tell my friend it would be another 1hr20min wait. I personally went to the counter to talk to them and the employee said it would be a 50min wait which is completely different from what they told my friend. Not sure what is going on with their scheduling but if it's going to be a longer wait than what they tell customers, they should be more honest. Seems like a money making tactic because you can't refund your purchase.

I will never go back to K1 Speed; you guys deserve all of the other Yelp reviews already posted. Lackluster performance by staff but I had one decent "race". I had signed up for 3 races as this was my first time, did not understand there would be a VERY long interval between races. Had another commitment so could not have done 3 even if efficiently sequenced; so I feel oversold by the staff person that sold the race tickets. The second "race" was a bungled disaster. Overcrowded (~18 karts compared to the first race with ~7), multiple stoppages for mechanical issues. I was T-boned by one driver at full speed and she was not even blue-flagged. Your system may work for teenagers with nothing better to do but I would warn all drivers 25 years and older that there are issues that diminish the overall experience.

I only ended up here after a bad experience. I now see why this place has such low ratings! WHOA! No one wants to work here. We arrived during opening hours and discovered that the place had experienced a power outage. It seemed like all the power had been restored and the place was lit up. The workers kept turning away paying customers, saying it will be a while, even though it seemed like everything should have been up and running within minutes. We even compromised and asked if we can utilize the arcade room. And we were denied. All the games were on and working. So we walked away, thinking to ourselves, "HEY MAYBE there's something we DON'T KNOW. OH WELL, WE WILL BE BACK." As we made our way to our car, an employee showed up and told us the power has been back on it only takes a couple minutes for everything to start working, it's QUICK. WELP! The other folks working inside said otherwise. Someone should definitely know what they're doing in this place. Apparently no one did. NO THANKS!

This place is great. Don't know why so many bad ratings. The staff here do their best with they have. I felt like we taken cared of. Clean bathrooms , organized and friendly staff. Definitely come back here again.

Such a sad experience. Took a 10 year old to go kart for a couple hours. He was told that despite being 57" he could not go on the adult go karts. No kids were here, so they told him he'd have to ride the Junior karts alone. They would not let me ride the junior karts with him because I was "too tall" despite us being the only people there. Good job shitting all over this kids day! You guys rule. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone. PS. All the employees clearly hate their life and Kayla was rude / unhelpful!

I would have given 0 stars. This is from a kid themselves. Me and my friends waited for an hour with our class who was also racing. Finally when it's our turn, we get in the cars and learn the signals and we are all so excited, but a cart breaks down and the employee says, " i need a volunteer to go in the last race instead." And when he says this he scrolls on a screen with all our names on it. It is in alphabetical order and my name starts with a Z. He scrolls to the bottom and says, " whose name is Zelda." He then says, " are you okay with going in the last race." This put pressure on me because i knew if i said no absolutely not somebody else would be out and be mad at me. So i said, " no but i mean it doesn't seem there's much of a choice " He is completely insensitive and says, " ok you'll go last." I walk away from my friends sad, and disappointed. I say i want to leave. What's worse is this was after our last day of school had ended and this terrible employee ruined it for me. In the end, they did all the races without me and i left, even after reviewing all the rules and getting excited and now very frustrated. NEVER EVER COME HERE. EVER. If we all start going to better go kart places that actually deserve having customers, then we can put an end to this terrible stupid place. NEVER COME HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO DEAL WITH INSENSITIVE EMPLOYEES AND PEOPLE WHO DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU AND BEING WITH YOUR FRIENDS OR RUINING YOUR LAST DAY OF SCHOOL AT ALL.

While I was doing my second race, I notice my kart kept losing power, I think one of the employees were messing with my go-kart causing it to lose power constantly during the race! I was definitely getting hater vibes from them. So this lead to a driver smashing into me from behind at full speed. I hit the back of my head pretty hard. Literally felt like I got into a real car accident. After that, I puke and I had the one of the worse migraine ever. If you guys want better/authentic service, this is the wrong location.

Total waste of time and money!!! Highly disappointed with the race carts and the obvious favoritism from the staff controlling the speed of the carts. While racing, the cart continually slowed and it took several seconds to accelerate. Then on the next race i watched how two teenagers were racing, it was very obvious they were friends of staff members, zooming by way way faster than the other two carts in the race bumping each other into the walls and the other drivers, clearly those teenagers cars had no speed control.

Terrible experience. The employees do not know what they are doing. I am a new customer and went there with my son for the first time. I signed up through their computers but then they would not let me check in because their machines were broken (both of them) and I could not sign the waiver for my son. This was Saturday and instead of fixing it they just let it be like this. They kept on telling me to try online through the app which does not give the option to sign online. At the end they could not figure out and they told me a bs lie that they are fully booked anyway to get rid of me and I should come back another day. They should not treat new customers like this. I went to MB2 much more organized than this place... What a waste of my time they destroyed the enthusiasm of my kid with their ignorance

Let start off by saying my initial thoughts of this place were not good. Luckily I was helped out by this amazing girl named Kristina. She made sure my experience here was a 10/10 and props to her for her amazing customer service skills. Will definitely be coming back!

We were here last year and we bought 150$ worth of races and the place was super busy. We had to wait 3 hours and after the manager did us a favor and let us race two races. We decided to use the balance for the next time that we come. Here we are today coming over with very high expectations and excitement and the credits we had disappeared and our account was deleted. The manager said he's sorry and could do nothing about it so we asked if we lost all of our credits and he said shamelessly yes. Amazing experience, went on a Friday night expecting it to be a little packed but there was hardly anyone there, brought extra money to play arcade games while we waited for our group to be called but didn't even have tim to play arcade games and was the first group to be called up. The workers were fast and excellent. They got food games karts everything, not a bad price to race on high fast and reliable karts. Had a little injury that could have been prevented but staff quickly stopped all of the karts and rushed over to make sure everyone was okay. The workers there are great, would definitely recommend!

Terrible experience cars stopped 7 times on a 9 lap race and staff change speed of certain cars

The wait time is over 100 mins on Tuesday and they don't even fill up races when people are waiting

We had our work holiday party at K1 Speed Burbank last Friday and had an absolutely AWFUL experience with the customer service, specifically from the manager on duty Kara. I have been in communication with Selena from corporate for weeks, organizing the itinerary and the catering for the event and the staff at the Burbank location either was not given that information or deliberately ignored everything we discussed. I was told our event including the racing and access to the private room would begin at 7:30pm and the catering we ordered in advance would be ready and waiting for us at that time. However, the staff called us for our first race at 7:00pm before our whole party was even present which caused a lot of confusion. We thought we'd be in the room for a bit first to settle in and greet everyone as they arrived, but instead we were thrown straight into the race with no warning. Next, our room and the catering were both unacceptably late. We didn't get into the room until at least 8:00 and the catering came out later than that. Myself and other members of our party repeatedly checked on the room availability and the catering and the staff was very unhelpful. We were told multiple different ETAs from different staff members and no one seemed remorseful for being late. Our party also was supposed to come with 2 free drink tickets and a monetary credit for concessions for each person. I assumed, these would be given to me when I checked in however I had to ask to get the drink tickets and the staff NEVER gave us the credits. Finally, when the staff gave me the bill at the end of the night, it included the entire party and the catering. I had put down a deposit for half the group in advance and the catering was included in the fee which I had to explain to no less than 3 different employees before they adjusted the price. To reiterate, the customer service was ABYSMAL. You would think this venue does multiple parties a week, if not a night, and would have it down, but the staff was so lost and unhelpful and the manager's attitude did not go unnoticed by our entire party. I will be talking to corporate about my experience. Do better.
