The hostel is nice. Most positive aspect for me is the location, you’re really close from all the main attractions and also only two streets away from the nearest tram/bus station. On the other hand, I’d say there are many things that could be bettered. The rooms are alright, but the beds and mattresses are not. The bunk is very unstable, and if you have to sleep on the top bed, you feel a bit unsafe, it moves a lot. Also, the mattress is extremely light, and when you lay down you can feel the metallic bars on your back, which is not ideal. I resorted to using the duvet as extra protection on my back and it did the trick, the issue then was that I got very cold at night.
Another issue for me was the showers. They lack space to leave your things. A few more hangers or racks to put your clothes, your tower or your personal items should be a must. I didn’t want to change in my room because it was shared, so it would’ve been nice to be able to leave my clothes more comfortably in the shower room instead of leaving them on the floor…
The toilets were alright, in my opinion needed to be cleaned more often, specially when there are so many people on the floor and there’s only 1-2 toilets.
With this in mind, if you’re staying for 1 or even 2 nights and don’t mind these things, I’d say K7 Oslo is very good, and one of the most “affordable” (still think it was a bit expensive tho) in the area.
