K7 hotel & hostel was brilliant. I arrived early and left my luggage and was able to explore the city. I returned for check-in at 3pm and my request for a lower bunk was accommodated. Upon arrival to my room (I’d booked a 6 bed dorm, the room was roasting hot like an oven. There were a couple of fans in the room but the sun was shining directly on the room and so it was just blowing hot air around. I went down to reception and asked if there was any way I could be moved to another room. The reception team were SO friendly and accommodating and moved me to one of the newer rooms which had air conditioning, it was a 14 bed dorm I believe but the room was massive and the beds were well appointed and laid out. Really modern, has clearly been done up recently. I actually ended up being on a top bunk but it was amazing - LED lights, plug socket near the bed and I somehow ended up with a “double” bed! (Room 201 - Bed M). It was the comfiest hostel bed I’ve ever stayed in - felt like I had my own private penthouse! Towels were included which is always nice, and I never once had to wait for the bathroom/shower (there were three in the room!). Giant lockers (which you need your own padlock for). Shared kitchen was small, but clean tidy and did the job!|Really appreciate the kind and helpful staff sorting this initial issue for me, and all of the other staff i came into contact with were all super helpful and friendly.

The hotel itself is not bad for a night or two, but there are some issues. First I have to say the location is awesome, you are right in the centre and can walk anywhere, which most people will appreciate and really is worth it. But when we arrived in our room, we found a hole in the wall which was a bit weird but didn't think much of it, the worst thing was when we realized that one of our towels was still dirty, which shocked us and maybe we received it by accident, but it still was not pleasant and for me personally unacceptable. The rooms is also pretty small but I believe it's enough for a few nights. The beds themselves are also pretty comfortable, only the walls are a bit thin. The service was good, the receptionist was kind and checked us in quickly without any issues. So the only major problem which I personally disliked quite a lot was the hole and the dirty towels. Other than that it was sufficient for a few nights and would most likely recommend due to the proximity to the city centre.

Amazing experience with the stay, I feel like the central location, along with the cleanliness make it super nice. Although, i would have liked if each beds had a curtain for privacy. Also if you happen to visit, Eneo at the reception is an absolute delight, no need for a tour guide just ask him what to do and the guy has the perfect insights for the city

Do not stay here any time soon. There is night construction happening right outside the hotel which they did not feel the need to tell us about even though they have an advertisement for a “snack deal” that comes with a pair of earplugs in the elevator… This never came up in the booking process or while checking in. Also, the windows do not close all the way to help stop the noise. 0/10 experience, would not wish this on my worst enemy. You would hope they could at least give out ear plugs for free.

The location of the hotel is amazing. It's just a ten minute walk from the central station. The rooms were fine as well, although the walls are very thin and you can hear everything from the rooms next to and above you. Luckiy my neighbours were quiet. I felt that the entrance area and the hallways could be a bit better maintained. Also the breakfast was a bit underwhelming for the price. The staff was friendly and the front desk is occupied 24h a day.

I lived in the female only room, and everything else was nice but I would have preferred it be cleaner, just a bot more focus on that. Also super expensive but considering the location and its Norway I think it was just about fine. Even though I booked last minute. Staff was very nice!!

The hostel is nice. Most positive aspect for me is the location, you’re really close from all the main attractions and also only two streets away from the nearest tram/bus station. On the other hand, I’d say there are many things that could be bettered. The rooms are alright, but the beds and mattresses are not. The bunk is very unstable, and if you have to sleep on the top bed, you feel a bit unsafe, it moves a lot. Also, the mattress is extremely light, and when you lay down you can feel the metallic bars on your back, which is not ideal. I resorted to using the duvet as extra protection on my back and it did the trick, the issue then was that I got very cold at night. Another issue for me was the showers. They lack space to leave your things. A few more hangers or racks to put your clothes, your tower or your personal items should be a must. I didn’t want to change in my room because it was shared, so it would’ve been nice to be able to leave my clothes more comfortably in the shower room instead of leaving them on the floor… The toilets were alright, in my opinion needed to be cleaned more often, specially when there are so many people on the floor and there’s only 1-2 toilets. With this in mind, if you’re staying for 1 or even 2 nights and don’t mind these things, I’d say K7 Oslo is very good, and one of the most “affordable” (still think it was a bit expensive tho) in the area.

We spent three nights in April and visited the city. People at the front desk were very nice, easy check-in. If you prefer to use the online check-in I guess you would not need to talk to anybody though. Didn´t test it. Room was spacious, we had booked a family room, which was on the 6th floor. One double bed and one bunk bed. Nice little bath, room even had a sitting possibility at the window. We booked the breakfast included, there was a choice of sandwiches, yoghurts and juices. Also cookies and muffins. Tea and coffee included. Nothing special but a nice start into the day. Unbeatable location, close to both the main station and the waterfront at the city hall. Nice restaurants all around.
