Kaafi • Specialty Coffee and Brunch Bar

Kaafi is a local favorite for one of my best friends and she simply would not shut up about it, so when she invited me for brunch I was super excited to see what all of the fuss is about. Right away before we even ordered, I realized their biggest perk- The staff are simply WONDERFUL. Friendly, attentive, and personable- they treat you as if you're a guest in their home and it leaves such a great impression right away. But once our order came, it changed from a 'nice' experience to a 'wonderful' one. I ordered their seasonal 'orange hot chocolate'- As someone who doesn't drink caffeine, I'm used to having hot chocolate during winter time. But I have never tasted one that was made to taste like actual decadent chocolates. I called the owner over and threatened to harm his business if he did not make this a year-round menu item. My request was met with a "we'll see" and I'll have to accept that for now. For food, I had the omelet while my friend let me poach some of her French toast. Note that they do have GF bread options for the gluten-challenged out there- both were INCREDIBLE. At the end of my stay I immediately made another reservation on the spot for a group gathering that I was going to host elsewhere, but decided that it absolutely had to be at Kaafi. Can't wait!

We visited this cozy coffee bar and absolutely loved it! ☕️ We had a Pumpkin Spice Latte, a Matcha Latte, a Red Velvet Cake, and a cookie — everything was delicious! The flavors were perfectly balanced and the presentation was beautiful. The atmosphere was warm and relaxing, perfect for a chill afternoon. We paid 17€ for everything, which felt totally worth it for the quality and experience. Highly recommend! 💛

I tried the flat white and the avocado toast at this cafe. Avocado toast was with a mild spicy pepper sauce and it was really delicious. It is a small cafe and not a very special or cozy interior atmosphere but the food is very tasty.

Great food and service. Everything on the menu sounded good so it was hard to choose! We ended up with the gochujang chicken n waffles and the jalapeno cheese pancakes, both of which were delicious and filling. I hope to be back one day!

Together with my partner and 2 kids we had a lovely Sunday brunch at Kaafi. Partner had been wanting to try the insta-famous chicken and waffles dish for quite some time now and he was not disappointed! Kids had sweet breakfasts and I chose the falafel, which was nice and crunchy with lovely soft bread and flavourful hummus. Will definitely visit again!

Great spot sitting out front in the sunny street we had a great brunch here. Service was quick and friendly. Can't vouch for the inside dining experience. The food was tasty, good portion size and well presented. Definitely recommend if you are in Den Haag!

I come to Kaafi at least twice a month, and it never disappoints. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu, and it always hits the spot. My personal favorite is the Kaafi Fried Chicken—my only critique is that I wish it came with more gochujang (I love it extra hot!). The service is great, and they also offer an excellent loose-leaf tea selection, served properly in a pot rather than just tea bags like many other cafés. Best of all, everything is halal, which is a huge plus.

Great atmosphere, great food with lots of flavors, would definitely recommend for a brunch with friend(s)! The Turkish eggs were delicious (We were able to have a table outside right away without reservation and our plates arrived quite quickly)

Had a very delicious brunch at Kaafi. They have great warm drinks and many delicious menu items. I decided to go with the avocado toast and it was very flavorful and delicious! The staff here are extremely sweet and welcoming. I definitely recommend coming here for some brunch!

Amazing breakfast and coffees all wrapped in one Loved the jazz music and with the ironwork throughout the place, it took the Mr & I back to New Orleans. Very accommodating to relaxing, enjoying a cappucino and listening to great music But we were also there for breakfast and went back on 2 occasions - the first visit we each got the Avocado Toast and it was huge - the homemade bread lovingly carried the tender sliced avocado and perfectly cooked sunnyside egg with sesame seed which added a layer of nuttiness and perfection. The second visit we got the Turkish Eggs and this was eggs in a tomato-based sauce with yogurt added. Spicy and flavorful! We loved both and would have loved to come back again had we been staying in The Hague longer

Amazing location, and very warm and cosy place. Playing jazz but not loud enough you couldn't have a nice conversation. The staff was welcoming attentive and friendly. I enjoyed the artwork in the location with nice seating. The food/latte where amazing I highly recommend cinnamon bun French toast and the pumpkin spiced latte was warm and bold and not overly sweet. Food leaves you full and ready to tackle the day. This is a 10/10 and should stop by if your looking to start your day off amazing

Nice surprise in the heart of old world Den Haag. Family-owned and operated  business not only serves up good coffee drinks, it has a unique menu with delicious, fresh food and homemade pastry. I thoroughly enjoyed the falafel and tahini sandwich served with fantastic pappadom chip (should be a side for purchase too), couscous on greens salad with a light vinaigrette. The plate was more than I expected and filling. What I missed out on and later learned is the signature dessert:  pistachio, cardamom cheesecake. ( So sad) Next time... The environment is a chill, crisp and uncluttered decor with wall gardens on white walls, while blonde wood tables carry terrariums filled with miniature succulents. The background music was old jazz--Ella Fitzgerald and more of that era. Students were everywhere settled in working away on laptops taking advantage of the free wifi and great lighting. Kaafi is a small space but laid out well. I highly recommend several visits to Kaafi if you are in the area. chow! food chick

Kaafi is a calm oasis of a restaurant serving dishes you would expect from the middle eastern equivalent. A living wall of plants greets and fills the eyes immediately upon entering and the staff and clientele reflect the serenity it inspires. Although, Kaafi had a limited menu with four dishes available only on the day I visited; it packs a punch with every dish. I succumbed to the vegan crispy falafel on a bed of smoked aubergine and was won over by its subtle flavors, balance and texture. Kaafi is well worth a lunch time visit whether it's on your way or not.
