We dined at Kaali Restaurant and ordered a range of dishes, including papadum with chutneys, prawn pakora, chicken tikka, butter chicken, rogan josh gosht, naan, and drinks. The food was flavorful and enjoyable, but the portion sizes were quite small for the price, making it feel quite expensive overall. For example, the soda drinks were $7 each and served in a glass filled with ice and no Re-fill, which was a bit disappointing. As for the service, we believe the owners of the restaurant were working there. While the male owner was polite and welcoming, the female owner came across as rude, which affected the overall dining experience. While the food was good, the price-to-quantity ratio and some aspects of the service were not as impressive.

The owners are obviously passionate about serving people great food, and they did. My wife and I went for dinner as we hadn't been for our for a while and had takeaway before and decided to eat as the food was excellent when I did take out. The food was beautifully tasting and the portions were just right, the onion bhajis were amazing along with the saffron rice, the food and staff were amazing and thank you for allowing us to enjoy your food. I would recommend anyone to go here and try their food as we were blown away, the owners were so welcoming and caring and that added the extra great feel we had at the restaurant. Thank you

WORST DINING EXPERIENCE AND WORST COCKTAIL I had in my life. First of all, I myself am a waiter and this is not how you serve a customer. No greeting no smile from the owners when we came in. They had an angry look on their face and didnt make us feel welcomed. It was christmas day and everywhere almost was closed so we had to give it a go despite the unpleasant vibe we got. We waited almost 30 mins for our order to be taken. Eventually my partner had to get up and go to them. They treated us as if we were disturbing them so funny. We have seen other 3 tables coming and leaving after 10 mins because no one comes and take care of you. Anyway food finally arrived but which is which. No info from the waiter. Obviously I kinda figured on my own from the menu. This was my first time trying indian food. Our drinks made their way to our table after we finished almost everything. I ordered mango coconut rum, what I had was frozen mango puree, zero coconut taste and I feel like there wasnt even a dash of rum in it. Whatever is written in the bad comments everyone experienced similar things. Do not waste your money

Noosa is in good hands - both our chilli garlic prawn and barramundi goan curries were exceptional. The best Indian I've had in Noosa; we were all served quickly and received some amazing service on top of it. Well worth it!

Absolute hidden gem, we stumbled across this place wandering down the road looking for somewhere to eat and they accommodated us as a group of 9. Very attentive staff and extremely friendly service from the owner, he made sure we had everything we needed. The food was incredible, we are all from the UK and appreciate a nice Indian meal, this did not disappoint. Highly recommend. If we are in Noosa again we will be back!

Not sure where to start with this review. One of the strangest dining experiences I’ve had in a while. Booked and arrived with two families and kids. Arrived at 6.15 ish. As you’d expect with this many people and tired kids it took us a while to work out what to order. We tried to order the kids food first and were very bluntly told due to the rain they wanted to do everything in one order as the staff had to leave as they lived far away. We had to be finished by 8 apparently. We asked for a few more minutes to decide what to order and the waitress instead stood there and got impatient with us while we were ordering. Totally ruined the experience of picking dishes. I was shocked at how rude this intro was at the start of the evening. Literally like we were an inconvenience. It completely ruined the mood of the evening. Even ordering was under pressure and rushed. The food thankfully was decent enough. The naans were slightly burned but the starters and mains including the vegan food was good. If the food wasn’t good they’d be getting an even lower rating I’m that disappointed at the rude service. They did offer to make dishes without cashew for my son who is allergic which was a bonus for them. The Chilean server was great and to be honest if we’d had her the whole night I would have been happy. I own a business and if my staff treated customers like this I’d be furious. For the expensive prices and poor initial service I will not be returning. Such a shame.

The setting for this restaurant is great and it has a nice atmosphere. I can honestly say that the meal was one of the best Indian meals I have had in years! The butter chicken and mango chicken both had beautiful flavours and textures and I could have eaten the coconut rice all on its own as it was so tasty! Try their home made lime pickle as it was outstanding and their naan breads were freshly made. We will defo go back there.

Just had dinner Friday 11th Oct 2024. Amazing food. Some of the best Indian we have eaten in years. If you love Indian food you have to come here. The staff are happy, friendly and helpful. Perfect size portions with the most tender lamb my husband has ever had in a curry. The samosas are the best we have eaten anywhere in the world! We eat Indian at least once a week. This was one we will remember .

Yelp
Went to this place for dinner during our honeymoon! It was one of the cheapest restaurants on Hastings Street. Thank goodness it was open - when we turned up. The manager was still setting up when we arrived. Even though it was cheaper the food was still really good and filling. There was cocktails and beers. The manager (I think it was the manager) was pretty nice and knew what we would like.

Yelp
The best Indian fewer have ever had. Beef vindaloo is really spicy and we love that. Chicken tikka masala is just perfect. Eggplant dish was great too and don't miss the condiments plate. I couldn't even consider going to another Indian restaurant in Noosa because I can't see how you could get better Indian anywhere

Yelp
Went here with a couple of friends, and as usual we all shared the dishes - I have never understood why people go to Asian restaurants , order a dish and then just eat that dish, so boring! The food was good, but unfortunately my memory of it is overshadowed by the poor service we received. Things went well when we arrived, a friendly greeting, our wine opened, glasses provided, but it all went downhill after our order was taken. It took over half an hour for the entrees to arrive (during which time a waitress asked if we would like her to remove the entree plates) and almost as long for the mains. Fortunately we had plenty to talk about, but the young family at the next table had two young boys falling asleep before they finished eating. The waitress asked if we would like more poppadums - they never arrived - and if we would like anther jug of water - ditto. A very pleasant meal spoilt by very poor service.

Yelp
What a great little find down the end of Hastings St. Small space indoors with a generous covered outdoor dining space with colourful rugs if the weather turns chilly. So now onto the food, vegetable samosa was subtly spiced to add complexity and the pastry was light and short. So often samosas can be stodgy and dull, not so here. Then I had the chicken kofta with perfect roti... it was fantastic. My coeliac partner had lots of GF options but as always opted for beef vindaloo, the spiciness and flavour were spot on however the beef was tough, hence the four stars. Good little wine list with a Riesling that always complements spicy curries. If you enjoy Indian then make your way down Hastings st... you will not be disappointed!

Yelp
Bloody amazing curry. Chicken tikka masala was superb and the saffron rice was sublime. Excellent naan and pompadums too.

Yelp
What a find. Went tonight for a curry expecting it to be good but not excellent. Samosas were a great start. Undoubtably home made, hot , spicy & excellent. Had a chicken curry & a lamb curry both very good. Next time I will try a vindaloo and a prawn curry. This chef really knows his stuff. Licensed & not byo. Small but excellent wine list & reasonably priced. All in all a great meal . Will be back here often. Perfect for a takeaway. But better to order up big & have enough to take home for meals 2 & maybe 3. There are a number of must eat ats in Noosa . This is definitely one of them.

Yelp
Food was "good", 5 star prices is somewhat of a head scratcher for what you're getting. Perhaps they would be more comfortable in a food court. Only, it doesn't take 20 minutes to get your bill in a food court!

Yelp
Fabulous Indian food nicely spiced. Great selection including vegetarian items. Service was sublime!

Yelp
Delicious food and reasonably priced for Hastings St, Noosa. My dining partner felt that his Goan Lamb (medium) was a little bit mild. I tried something I wouldn't usually choose, slices of eggplant with a paneer, vegetable and dried fruit stuffing with a creamy sauce. Quite tasty and very filling. I would go again if I were visiting Noosa.

Yelp
Great food. Butter chicken & garlic naan is excellent and are my favourites. Wife is a vegetarian and she loves how there is such a wide range to choose. Not like a lot of places where there are only one or two vegetarian meals on the whole menu. We make sure we go there whenever in Noosa.
