The hotel is in a great location, but the quality of the rooms can be inconsistent. I was asked to change rooms for my last night, and unfortunately, the new room wasn’t as nice.
If you’re visiting Puno in winter (July–August), be prepared for some serious cold - including inside the hotel. The small heater provided offered very limited warmth.
On a positive note, breakfast was excellent. The señora in charge of the kitchen was warm, efficient, and really made a difference. The front desk staff, however, could be a bit more welcoming; at times, even simple questions seemed to be met with reluctance.
