Kadoya Hotel

Overall, we had a very satisfying stay at Kadoya Hotel. The front desk staff were consistently welcoming and helpful. The location is extremely convenient—just a short walk from the west side of Shinjuku Station, with easy access to both JR lines and multiple subway routes. Despite being so close to the busy station area, the neighborhood feels very safe, surrounded by upscale office buildings and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government offices. Our Standard Universal Room with two twin beds was reasonably spacious, especially compared to other hotels we stayed at in Tokyo and Osaka. Breakfast at the café offers a limited selection, but the food is delicious and the staff are always courteous.

Stayed here for 6 nights in November of 2025 and had a great stay! Pros: - Location within an easy walk of Shinjuku is amazing. - Breakfast was included and it was quite good. You get a choice of either a Japanese style breakfast or a Western breakfast. Both were great. - Service was friendly and helpful. - Room was a good size considering the price and location. Very efficient layout in the room. - Laundry facilities were great. - Good value for the price. Cons: - I don't really have any major complaints. I would just say the rooms are probably showing their age a bit and the bed was too firm for my taste. - The building has central A/C so you don't get to control the temperature in your room. Overall, I would stay here again if I decided to stay in Shinjuku again.

I stayed at this location with friends and had an excellent experience. The staff were extremely helpful during check in, luggage forwarding and the added breakfast was pretty good. The rooms are decent sized and while the bathrooms are spacious, the ceilings are a little low for tall people. The biggest appeal is how close it is to Shibuya station and several places to eat. The walk in a few minutes and it’s a very easy walk to other parts of Shinjuku for other restaurants and nightlife.

Kadoya hotel is located less than a 5 min walk from the Shinjuku station. The room was clean and spacious. There is a convenient store on the first floor of the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

Fantastic hotel near Shinjuku station at an affordable price point. A huge plus that the room size is bigger than most hotels in Tokyo at the same price range, I could open up two luggages in the room and still walk around comfortably. Amenities are good enough, with a washing machine and additional pillows/toiletries available at the reception.

Very clean rooms. Walking distance easily to Shinjuku station which is the largest train station in the world. Staff was very attentive. I saw complaints in some reviews about smoke smell... maybe some people haven't heard of incense? It was only in the lobby and it was a nice bit of ambience to welcome us. Would easily recommend this place to friends and family.

The location of the hotel was really good! It was close to the station and easy to navigate to and from. The staff were really nice and the cleaning was excellent! It was a normal room with enough space for what I booked so I appreciated it. :D They had plenty of amentities and I liked my stay there.

Location: The hotel is located near the station and lots of restaurants. The government building observatory is walk-able distance.Staff: The staffs were very friendly! Cleanness: Bedding, shower, fridge are overall very clean. Even though it is really humid in Japan, there was no stuffiness or stickiness in the room. If I stay around Shinjuku again, I will definitely stay here again.

Pros: Convenient location near Shinjuku station. Room temperature can be adjusted by the room. Water pressure for shower was good. Liked additional pillow option. Cons: Room key is not card key. So need to leave the key at the front desk when going outside. Need to insert the room key by the door to enable the power in the room. So air conditioning was off and the room was very warm when I first got into the room. Overall I liked the hotel because location is important for me. I had non-smoking room but smelled it a little. I will need to stay the entire facility is non-smoking hotel.
