This was a great first hotel for our first few nights in Tokyo. The staff are so helpful and lovely. The rooms are clean and nice, comfy and quiet. Nothing luxurious but great just the same. They have laundry machines which was so handy! This hotel is also in a very good location and we found it very easy to get around and less chaotic than Shibuya. We'd definitely stay here again! Just a side note that some of the restaurants in the immediate area seemed very tourist trap-ish so venture out a few minutes further for better options and check the ratings.

The location is amazing. Steps from everything. A subway entrance less than 2 minutes walking, super helpful for random downpours of rain and the scorching heat The staff is super kind. Great English, very helpful with holding luggage early, receiving packages, luggage forwarding, and all sorts of little requests such as scheduling specific times for room cleaning around our children's nap schedule The rooms were very spacious for Tokyo standards. Strong air conditioning. Very good noise insulation. In the hallways we heard the room next door watching TV very loudly, but it was completely quiet in our room. The rooms also came with many hair styling tools (high end hair dryer, hair straightener, etc) My daughters loved the free gacha machine in the lobby and all of the nice little amenities (free body oil serum, lotions, pick your own pillow types, and even aromatherapy for the room I would recommend Kadoya to anyone staying in Tokyo. Thank you for a great stay, Kadoya!

Enjoyed our stay at Kadoya Hotel. Rooms were comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful, assisted us with forwarding our luggage to Kyoto. Breakfast at the attached restaurant was a great bonus. Close proximity to Shinjuku Station allowed us to explore Tokyo at our own pace.

Excellent, convenient location in the heart of Shinjuku; Lawson is nearby. Amazing service. Although the corridor is darker, the room is spacious and well-designed. I definitely recommend it.

Honestly, such a win for location. Price was pretty decent too. It’s on the west side of Shinjuku, about a 5 min walk from the station. You get to avoid the chaos on the north and east sides but still stay right in the middle of Tokyo. Staff were always friendly. Would definitely recommend

We Give this hotel a zero. Check in was slow. There were two employees attending the counter, but they took only one person at a time. First room smelled like cigarettes. Changed to another room, and that room was smelly too. Booked rooms at an APA instead. Informed front desk that we were not staying for the two night stay booking. We were told they would not reimburse us for either night even though they could not supply a smoke free room. Should have known the rooms would be smelly, when we entered to a strange smelling hotel that was burning incense throughout their lobby.

Absolutely loved my 6 night stay at Kadoya hotel. The front desk staff is wonderful, and made a lasting positive impression. I always felt welcome. Location is perfect and close to Shinjuku station.

I stayed at this hotel for five days and four nights in a single room. It’s about a 10-minute walk from Shinjuku JR Station. The facilities inside the hotel feel a bit old, and the carpet looks quite worn, but overall, everything is clean. There are Lawson and 7-Eleven convenience stores nearby, and the area has a lively nightlife with plenty of restaurants and izakayas. There’s even a GIGO arcade, which is great for travelers who enjoy a bustling atmosphere. The best part is the spacious room—you can fully open a 28-inch suitcase and still have space to move around, which is a huge plus if you love shopping. The only downside is that you have to step up to enter the bathroom, and the step is quite high (see attached photo with a trash bin for reference). After a long day of walking, it’s a bit tiring to keep stepping up and down to use the bathroom. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for guests with sore legs or elderly travelers.

Yelp
Pros: Convenient location near Shinjuku station. Room temperature can be adjusted by the room. Water pressure for shower was good. Liked additional pillow option. Cons: Room key is not card key. So need to leave the key at the front desk when going outside. Need to insert the room key by the door to enable the power in the room. So air conditioning was off and the room was very warm when I first got into the room. Overall I liked the hotel because location is important for me. I had non-smoking room but smelled it a little. I will need to stay the entire facility is non-smoking hotel.
