Location: The hotel is located near the station and lots of restaurants. The government building observatory is walk-able distance.Staff: The staffs were very friendly! Cleanness: Bedding, shower, fridge are overall very clean. Even though it is really humid in Japan, there was no stuffiness or stickiness in the room. If I stay around Shinjuku again, I will definitely stay here again.

This was a great first hotel for our first few nights in Tokyo. The staff are so helpful and lovely. The rooms are clean and nice, comfy and quiet. Nothing luxurious but great just the same. They have laundry machines which was so handy! This hotel is also in a very good location and we found it very easy to get around and less chaotic than Shibuya. We'd definitely stay here again! Just a side note that some of the restaurants in the immediate area seemed very tourist trap-ish so venture out a few minutes further for better options and check the ratings.

The location is amazing. Steps from everything. A subway entrance less than 2 minutes walking, super helpful for random downpours of rain and the scorching heat The staff is super kind. Great English, very helpful with holding luggage early, receiving packages, luggage forwarding, and all sorts of little requests such as scheduling specific times for room cleaning around our children's nap schedule The rooms were very spacious for Tokyo standards. Strong air conditioning. Very good noise insulation. In the hallways we heard the room next door watching TV very loudly, but it was completely quiet in our room. The rooms also came with many hair styling tools (high end hair dryer, hair straightener, etc) My daughters loved the free gacha machine in the lobby and all of the nice little amenities (free body oil serum, lotions, pick your own pillow types, and even aromatherapy for the room I would recommend Kadoya to anyone staying in Tokyo. Thank you for a great stay, Kadoya!

I stayed in Kadoya hotel only for 1 night, overall I would like to describe the stay as satisfactory. To begin with, the location was just perfect, just approximately 8 min walk from Shinjuku station, there were a lot of convenient stores, cosmeceutical stores and shopping malls nearby, which means this area provides excellent transportation and entertainment. Further, the staffs were very polite and ready to help, check in and check out processes were smooth and quick. The room was clean and tidy, and equipped with all the amenities you need, however, room space was a bit narrow, which barely fit an open suitcase, you know, this was kinda commonplace for Japanese hotels. Anyway, if you want your trip in Tokyo to be as convenient as possible, then this is a good choice for you:)

Enjoyed our stay at Kadoya Hotel. Rooms were comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful, assisted us with forwarding our luggage to Kyoto. Breakfast at the attached restaurant was a great bonus. Close proximity to Shinjuku Station allowed us to explore Tokyo at our own pace.

All the staff that i encountered were very helpful polite and friendly. Able to communicate in english effectively. I stayed in a single room, and as expected, the room would be small but plenty enough for a single person. Would definitely recommend for solo traveller for its pleasant staff and location.

I stayed at this hotel for five days and four nights in a single room. It’s about a 10-minute walk from Shinjuku JR Station. The facilities inside the hotel feel a bit old, and the carpet looks quite worn, but overall, everything is clean. There are Lawson and 7-Eleven convenience stores nearby, and the area has a lively nightlife with plenty of restaurants and izakayas. There’s even a GIGO arcade, which is great for travelers who enjoy a bustling atmosphere. The best part is the spacious room—you can fully open a 28-inch suitcase and still have space to move around, which is a huge plus if you love shopping. The only downside is that you have to step up to enter the bathroom, and the step is quite high (see attached photo with a trash bin for reference). After a long day of walking, it’s a bit tiring to keep stepping up and down to use the bathroom. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for guests with sore legs or elderly travelers.

Once we figured out how to get out of Shinjuku Station, we realized how great of a location the hotel was. Kabukicho was only a 15 min walk and the Metropolitan Govt Building a few blocks away. The room smelled musty and looks outdated, but it was good enough. The room was spacious enough to fit our luggage. Appreciated the extra hair tools in the bathroom! We also added on breakfast and it wasn’t worth it IMO. Breakfast is in the attached cafe and you get a preset Western style or Japanese style breakfast. We had both and they were okay.

Yelp
Pros: Convenient location near Shinjuku station. Room temperature can be adjusted by the room. Water pressure for shower was good. Liked additional pillow option. Cons: Room key is not card key. So need to leave the key at the front desk when going outside. Need to insert the room key by the door to enable the power in the room. So air conditioning was off and the room was very warm when I first got into the room. Overall I liked the hotel because location is important for me. I had non-smoking room but smelled it a little. I will need to stay the entire facility is non-smoking hotel.
