Kadoya Hotel

Overall, we had a very satisfying stay at Kadoya Hotel. The front desk staff were consistently welcoming and helpful. The location is extremely convenient—just a short walk from the west side of Shinjuku Station, with easy access to both JR lines and multiple subway routes. Despite being so close to the busy station area, the neighborhood feels very safe, surrounded by upscale office buildings and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government offices. Our Standard Universal Room with two twin beds was reasonably spacious, especially compared to other hotels we stayed at in Tokyo and Osaka. Breakfast at the café offers a limited selection, but the food is delicious and the staff are always courteous.

Once we figured out how to get out of Shinjuku Station, we realized how great of a location the hotel was. Kabukicho was only a 15 min walk and the Metropolitan Govt Building a few blocks away. The room smelled musty and looks outdated, but it was good enough. The room was spacious enough to fit our luggage. Appreciated the extra hair tools in the bathroom! We also added on breakfast and it wasn’t worth it IMO. Breakfast is in the attached cafe and you get a preset Western style or Japanese style breakfast. We had both and they were okay.

A great spot! Our trip plans changed last minute and the staff helped us so much by calling the airport luggage storage and translating. They also accommodated extending our stay by one night very last minute. Great area, clean rooms, would stay again!

Stayed here for 6 nights in November of 2025 and had a great stay! Pros: - Location within an easy walk of Shinjuku is amazing. - Breakfast was included and it was quite good. You get a choice of either a Japanese style breakfast or a Western breakfast. Both were great. - Service was friendly and helpful. - Room was a good size considering the price and location. Very efficient layout in the room. - Laundry facilities were great. - Good value for the price. Cons: - I don't really have any major complaints. I would just say the rooms are probably showing their age a bit and the bed was too firm for my taste. - The building has central A/C so you don't get to control the temperature in your room. Overall, I would stay here again if I decided to stay in Shinjuku again.

Hello! We’re from the Philipines 🇵🇭 We loved our stay at Kadoya Hotel! The location is perfect—right in the middle of Shinjuku’s hustle and bustle yet surprisingly quiet, so it’s great for resting after long walks and tours. Shinjuku Station is very near, making it super convenient to explore Tokyo. There’s also a Lawson right beside the hotel and many restaurants nearby. The room was spacious, and the bathroom was big too, which is rare in Japanese hotels. The aroma oil set provided in the room was a lovely touch and added to the relaxing vibe. We tried both the Japanese and Western breakfast sets, and they were fresh and satisfying. We only wished there was a third menu set option, but overall, breakfast was enjoyable. The bathroom is senior citizen and PWD-friendly, which made it very comfortable for our group. Most of all, the staff were very friendly and welcoming—they always greeted us with a smile, which made us feel at home. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would definitely stay at Kadoya Hotel again.

It’s rare to find a hotel with four beds in the same room, which allowed my whole family to stay together. The location is great—close to several Shinjuku stations, with a Lawson and multiple restaurants nearby. I gave the service a 4/5 because they only provide cleaning every two days. This was perfectly acceptable for us, but I wanted to mention it as a heads-up for others.

I stayed at this location with friends and had an excellent experience. The staff were extremely helpful during check in, luggage forwarding and the added breakfast was pretty good. The rooms are decent sized and while the bathrooms are spacious, the ceilings are a little low for tall people. The biggest appeal is how close it is to Shibuya station and several places to eat. The walk in a few minutes and it’s a very easy walk to other parts of Shinjuku for other restaurants and nightlife.

Pros: Convenient location near Shinjuku station. Room temperature can be adjusted by the room. Water pressure for shower was good. Liked additional pillow option. Cons: Room key is not card key. So need to leave the key at the front desk when going outside. Need to insert the room key by the door to enable the power in the room. So air conditioning was off and the room was very warm when I first got into the room. Overall I liked the hotel because location is important for me. I had non-smoking room but smelled it a little. I will need to stay the entire facility is non-smoking hotel.
