From the moment we walked in until the very last bite, everything about this restaurant was exceptional. Jeremy, our server, welcomed us the second we walked in. We didn’t even have a reservation, but he took great care of us and sat us at the bar, which turned out to be the best spot in the house. From there, we had a front-row seat to watch the Chef (also the owner) work his magic. Every dish was treated like a piece of art carefully crafted, beautifully plated, and packed with flavor. You could see how much love and attention went into every single bite. The fish? So fresh it could’ve jumped off the plate. This isn’t your average sushi joint this is a little taste of Japan tucked right here in our backyard. My husband just got back from Japan and said the quality of the ingredients here rivals some of the best spots overseas. That says everything. We ordered seven dishes, and every one of them blew us away. Jeremy kept us entertained with stories and explanations about the menu, and you could tell the whole team truly knows and loves what they’re doing. It’s not just food—it’s an experience. Honestly, part of me doesn’t want to share this hidden gem because it feels like our secret. But on the other hand, this place deserves all the love. If you closed my eyes, drove me around for 40 minutes, and told me we ended up in one of Miami’s top restaurants, I’d believe you. Except this spot is just 10 minutes from home. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Absolutely love it.

Google
A pricey sushi place that feels worth it. The sushi is by far the freshest sushi I’ve had in all of Miami. The rolls are both creative and super tasty. My favorite roll consisted of spicy tuna and kimchi. It was so tasty and had so much flavor. On top of that all the employees are very kind and helpful. Highly recommend for a special occasion or if you want some really good sushi in Miami.

I have been eating here for years and realized I have never done a review! Throughout the years, one thing I say for certain is the dedication this team puts in giving great service, evolving ideas on the specialty menu, and quality ingredients. The taste has always been consistent, even back when there weren’t as many customers. So I am happy to see they are still successful and busier than before, no one else deserves it more than these guys here! For the quality and the price, no other izakaya or sushi restaurant can beat it in South Florida and that is a fact! Come in and see for yourself, a place that only uses bluefin tuna and many other fish sourced only from the best fisherman in Japan. If you want a taste of Japan, come here, 10/10 recommended.

Google
Definitely recommend. You will not be disappointed! There are plenty of options, and the sushi was fresh and delicious. The service was exceptional, making the whole experience feel welcoming and enjoyable. I’ll definitely be back for more!

Google
100% recommend!! Amazing and delicious spot! Staff were very friendly, fish was fresh, and the place is all good vibes. My new favorite spot of South Florida! I can’t wait to go back and try more! Thank you!! ❤️❤️❤️

Google
I recently discovered Kaeru and wow!! I was blown away by the atmosphere, the service, and most especially- the food! It is clear to see that the people who work at Kaeru are passionate about the food they serve. There is a special attention to detail that I really appreciate. They treat their food like art. Also the drinks!! Incredible cocktails. Will be dining again :) thank you! Also highly recommend trying one of the staff created sushi rolls. They’re all so good.

Google
Kaeru is the closest you will get to eating in Japan. The sushi is so fresh and delicious. The service is 2nd to none. Everyone is super friendly. Atmosphere is a vibe.

Google
An absolute hidden gem. In a city of mostly chain sushi joints this family owned and run restaurant is a godsend for local sushi lovers. The staff are all incredibly warm, friendly, and informative on their menu items. The quality of the fish they offer is always excellent with a focus on seasonal catches. So the menu items and specials will change on occasion depending on the time of year. Seating can be a bit limited due to the small size of the store but not cramped feeling, still recommend calling ahead. I personally enjoy my time best with two others sitting up at the sushi bar.

Yelp
Kaeru Sushi & Grill is hands down the best sushi spot in West Broward County. While there are plenty of restaurants on the east side by the water, Kaeru easily holds its own against any top-tier sushi destination. The quality is exceptional, and the authenticity of the flavors speaks for itself -- every bite is fresh, balanced, and crafted with true skill. This place is a hidden gem. The attention to detail, the presentation, and the overall flavor profile of the sushi is simply outstanding. It's clear they take pride in what they serve. Not only is the sushi phenomenal, but the rest of the menu also offers a variety of delicious dishes that will please anyone, even if sushi isn't their go-to. Be prepared -- it's a small and cozy space, so you might have to wait a bit. But trust me, it's well worth it. Once you're seated and that first roll hits your table, you'll understand why this spot has such a loyal following. Highly recommend for sushi lovers and foodies alike. Kaeru is a true standout in the area. Don't miss it!

Yelp
A Hidden Gem Worth the Drive! Wish I lived closer--Kaeru Sushi and Grill is an indie-Asian treasure with incredible food and heartfelt hospitality. You can taste the care in every dish. Started with the from-scratch miso soup--light, smoky, and full of earthy enoki mushrooms, soft cubes of tofu, and seaweed. The Tuna Yukke Salad was a standout: fresh, deep red tuna over greens, balanced sweet and salty soy dressing, quail egg yolk, avocado, and pine nuts--perfection. Pork belly tapas were melt-in-your-mouth amazing--braised, wrapped in paper thin Napa cabbage, served with whipped soy mashed potatoes in the creamiest broth. Use the spoon. Leave none. Pan-seared scallops in butter soy sauce? Divine. Get steamed rice to soak up every drop. Perfect soy-butter balance - fresh snow peas and mushrooms. Fantastic! Staff were warm, welcoming, and clearly love what they do. I dined alone and was treated like family. Bonus: I witnessed the most joyful birthday celebration ever. I'd return just for that! This place is a gem. Worth going out of your way for. Truly unforgettable.

Yelp
Great sushi, great service, well worth it. Julian was my server, thoroughly explained the specials and was very attentive throughout. I had the Bam Bam Shrimp appetizer and also the Wagyu & Ribeye Skewers, tasted great. The A5 Wagyu was definitely worth the price. Full of flavor and so tender. For my sushi, I had the Boogie Shrimp and also the Maryland. Both were awesome, filling, and highly recommended. If you are looking for a unique spot where they take care you and have high quality food, look no further.

Yelp
The hidden gem that you lowkey don't want anyone to know about so you can always get a table and enjoy super fresh sushi and dishes from wonderful passionate employees and chefs. Unassuming exterior with warm ambient lighting with a splash of Japan and Jamaica. Two sided, One page menu with rotating specials . Everything we ordered hit the mark! Japanese curry fries. The miso soup is from scratch. The seafood soup is delicious. The sushi rolls are unique and so tasty. The waiters are so knowledgeable, so friendly and they are open to sharing stories and making your experience delightful. I thoroughly enjoy everything about this place. And I hope you will too.

Yelp
Love love love! Love the ambience, love the food, and love the people that works there! The restaurant is a small and intimate izakaya setting. The servers had amazing recs on what's good on the menu and very thorough in describing the dishes. All the food was amazing - my favorites were smoky dream (torched smoked salmon roll) and curry fries! For those that like Guinness, the east meets west beer on the secret menu is a must get! It's half asahi and half Guinness

Yelp
This is hands down the best sushi restaurant in the Broward County area! The hospitality is consistently warm, and the staff are nothing short of phenomenal. It's one of those places we keep coming back to. The specialty sushi rolls are truly exceptional (Thank you! Salamat Po!)--some of the best we've ever had! With its relaxing ambiance, it's the perfect spot for a night out with friends or a cozy date.

Yelp
Quaint restaurant in a quiet shopping plaza. The service was superb, very friendly and knowledgeable wait staff. I came in to try out a new Japanese place with some girl friends and it was impressive. I love options on the board specials menu items. The fish/sushi options were very fresh. The hand roll with scallops and ikura was perfect! We even had a unique dish the chef specially created for us, which had Uni, ikura , quail egg on top of sushi rice. We mostly ordered off the board special menu and they were all amazing and delicious. I'm happy to find my style of Japanese cuisine located closer to home. They get pretty busy at night on Friday, we had to wait a bit to be seated. I will have to remember to make a rsvp prior to visiting. They accept reservations with minimum. 24 hours in advance l.

Yelp
This hole in the wall Japanese spot is amazing, the food and quality superb, the service great, our waiter Jeremy very knowledgeable and pleasant, his recommendation spot on. Loved the Shogun style decoration. We ordered the Negitoro hand roll, Tuna Yukke Salad, Nigiri and Sashimi Platter and a Tempura Shrimp Roll, everything fresh and delicious. We will definitely come back!
google avatar

Yelp
Some friends introduced us to this spot and we LOOOOOVED it! Very unassuming, very speak-easy-ish. We almost thought we'd arrived at the wrong spot considering there was no signage in the shopping center. Once we walked inside I was like....where have we been transported to? Service was 5 STAR all the way even though we went about 40 minutes to kitchen closing, you would have never known. They treated us as if they had just opened and we were their first happy customers. Can't wait to go back and try more of the menu.
google avatar

Jonathan T.

Yelp
Let me just say. It's a super hole in the wall and you'd easily miss if you're not paying attention. The vibes inside are super relaxed and welcoming. But the staff is above and beyond on top of the vibes so already we were off to a welcoming start. We got served by a gentleman named Eric who was extraordinarily kind in recommending options and even explaining how everything is done and what might pair well. The food was absolutely AMAZING! The quality was top notch and you are 1000000% getting everything worth your money. Will be back to try more!

Yelp
Lovely local sushi place, I'd venture to say it's the best sushi I've had in pines at this point. The people were all very friendly, helpful, informative, and professional. The atmosphere really gave a relaxed cozy vibe with some very nice Japanese detail that gave it an authentic feel. I'm already looking forward to coming by again.

Yelp
There's no signage on the building, so look for the neon sign that says sushi on the window. Upon entering I was greeted at the door which was a personable touch. 30 mins after opening and they were packed. Intimate setting, so not a lot of seats. I snag a seat at the bar and I had a great time watching the chefs make the rolls. I ordered the sashimi sampler that came with 6 pieces, chef's choice. Very fresh. They even had gluten free soy sauce. Ordered the Raging Tuna roll which was delicious and ordered the Lemon Drop cocktail and it was refreshing as promised. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Even asked if they could make my roll gluten free . I highly recommend checking this place out.

Yelp
If I could give 10 stars, I would! What an experience. First of all the place is beautiful. Don't let the small dinning area fool you, their flavors are BIG. Our waiter was Jeremy and he was amazing. He was so patient with us first timers. He explained everything on the specials board and anything we had questions about. He is so knowledgeable and really takes pride in his job and the restaurant. We had wing appetizers. Holy flavor!!! The wings were perfection, crispy and full of flavor. I told my husband I would like the plate if I didn't fear the judgement that would come from it. I ordered the Maryland (real crab with old bay, avocado and cucumber, I think, and with crispy pieces all around and a delicious sauce drizzled on it.) So good! My husband ordered the boogie shrimp roll and it was incredible! Overall we had a wonderful experience from the service to the food. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
A great spot in Pines for some sushi and Japanese tapas. The epitome of a hidden gem, this lil spot is great for a date night or dinner to catch up with a friend. I came on a Saturday night and called ahead in case it was packed as I know it's a pretty popular spot. The staff that answered the phone was friendly & did us a solid to reserve a last minute spot as we were on the way in case it ended up being busy by the time we planned to arrive. When we walked in, we actually had a choice of a table or the bar. Sitting at the bar was a great choice for me and my best friend so we could chat and watch the sushi chefs as they made rolls. Dinner and a show! The staff itself was five stars and added to the whole experience! From greeting us as we arrived to being super attentive plus giving great recommendations. For food, we ended up sharing most of our food. For starters, we did the Pork Belly Kakuni which was tender braised belly with potato puree. It was so tender, it melted in your mouth! We also got the negitoro handroll, which came with two, and is always a favorite to me. For the main course, we shared the Tuna Crunch Roll and the Smokey Dream. Out of the two, I liked the Smokey Dream more but I am biased because I love salmon. I think I would tend more toward their handrolls or nigiri here as their fish is super fresh and the specialty rolls are just okay in relation to other spots. The quality of fish and tapas shine the most for me here. Overall, a really great spot in Pines!

Yelp
This has been by far the best and most amazing sushi place I have ever been too. It feels like this place is a lot more authentic when it comes to the food. The fish is soooooo fresh. The service was amazing, super kind and helpful. The waiter takes the time to explain the menu and specials and where they get their fish from. The vibe of the place is so cute and calm. I'm definitely going back again!! ALSOOOOO they have a secret menu that they'll explain if you ask about it!!

Yelp
2nd time visiting and. By far the best sushi restaurant in SOFLO. The food is spectacular, the service is nothing less than 5 stars & a great ambience. This restaurant is a true gem! My fave is the fatty tuna hand roll.

Yelp
Extraordinary every visit. I love Zuma but easily forgo the drive to downtown Miami when I can have this gem 15 minutes away.

Yelp
I've been to Kaeru a handful of times, but each time the experience has been incredible. The service is phenomenal, the servers are knowledgeable about the menu options and pairings. The specials are always changing and are reasonably priced. What keeps me coming back is the quality of the food and ingredients. The chefs import ingredients from Japan and it makes a world of a difference. I have not tried a single thing here that I did not like. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Such a hidden gem!! When my friends invited me and I arrived I was not sure what to expect because the restaurant is so unassuming but be prepared to be blown away. The inside is nicely decorated and has a chill ambiance. Service was phenomenal, the servers explain everything in detail and it's some of the freshest sushi I've had in this area overall. Making a reservation is the best and quickest way to be seated since the place is small. Looking forward to be back many many more times!

Yelp
This is hands down my favorite sushi restaurant in Pembroke Pines. I found this place because a friend mentioned it to me and we went together. But ever since that time I have been back at least another 5 times and loved it every single time. This is the kind of place where the staff loves eachother. You feel like family when you walk in. Everyone that works here is super welcoming and wants you to have a great time when you visit. There are so many unqiue but specifc to them decorations. But everything feels authentic and like it is their place. Since I have been here a few times I have ordered few things: the pork belly is a must get, the miso black cod, the scallops, the scratchmade miso soup, ell hand roll, chirashi, scallop handroll, rainbow roll, red dragon, and the waiters each have their own specialty roll which I have tried. I specifically remember that when I brought my parents here they said that they hadn't had a hand roll like this in 20 years. The magic of this place is the freshness of all the ingredients. I love the rotating specials board and try to order at least one thing from the menu. If you love sushi a tapas style concept this is your spot.

Yelp
I eat so much sushi it's crazy I'm always trying places with the best ratings and this place has the best sushi I've ever had in my life hands down I couldn't believe my taste buds if you're a sushi lover like I am and you haven't tried this place you are really missing out and don't get me started on the service on a scale from 1-10 I would give this place an 11 oh and they don't use imitation crab only real crab meat
google avatar

Jorge S.

Yelp
I have been to this spot on two occasions and both have been great experiences. This is a nice off unassuming restaurant but be prepared this be blown away. They have great service, great food (servers ate very attentive and tend to explain the menu in great detail). If you don't like seafood they also have great options which are also delicious. My recommendation is to def make a reservation if you want to be sat quickly. My wife and I look forward to our next dining experience at Kearu.

Yelp
No sign outside... but what a surprise! Nice vibrant and relaxing place! Food was superb! Delicious and fresh! The staff is happy and eager to please and make you feel welcome, the best! I will come back for more!

Yelp
I've been going here since it first opened, and let me say I cannot explain how amazing their quality is. Obsessed!!

Yelp
This is the best sushi place I've ever been to. I've been coming since it opened and it's the most amazing quality with the nicest employees. Highly rate!

Yelp
This will appeal to the hipster in you--the restaurant has very little signage and the windows are blacked out. If you come at night you might think the place is closed. Inside you will find a cozy land of Japanese deliciousness. Service with Jeremy is always top notch and friendly. They have a board on the wall listing a lot of interesting daily specials. We usually stick to the regular menu, which is not too big but full of many great options. The Cajun edamame and the scratch made miso soup are must tries. The rolls are very fresh. Today we went with the torched salmon roll and the boogie shrimp. Great food, friendly service and laid back ambience.

Yelp
Kaeru was so good we had to go back! Exactly one week later my boyfriend and I were back for the amazing food at Kaeru. We got some things we had before and some things we hadn't tried last time. I absolutely loved the curry fries this time around. we also tried the karaage, jerk cuttlefish fish, and boogie shrimp. Everything we got was amazing had great depth of flavor. I also tried the Lady Lychee drink which was super delicious. We of course re-ordered the pork belly which was delicious and melt in your mouth. The service was absolutely amazing as well. Definitely my new go to.

Yelp
Such a great hole in the wall by Pines Blvd and Palm Ave. Fresh sushis, sashimis combined with amazing service! I've only been here twice but those two times they were all friendly and accomodating! If you are going at night though it may be a little difficult to locate them because there seems to be no obvious signs but that's it.

Yelp
I found this gem by the likes of Yelp about 5 months ago. I live in palm beach but found it while at the hard rock. I have eaten at many omakase and top notch Japanese restaurants and Kaeru does not lack in the quality department. They do a very good job overall. The servers that helped me were Kevin and Jeremy, both knowledgeable and polite and just good at there jobs. You can tell they enjoy working here. Their kitchen and sushi bar are well oiled machines. Japanese uni, massive amounts of caviar. The perfect yuzu ponzu sauce with the chopped toro was exceptional.....i even drank the sauce. I find it hard to believe some locals get to call this place their neighborhood sushi bar....because this place is world class.
google avatar

Richard M.

Yelp
There is no marquis sign outside this restaurant, so even walking in makes you feel like you know something special. Immediately upon entering, we were greeted warmly by their Staff. The specials are extensive and all sound delicious. I had an "East/West" beer which is their special take on a black and tan. They blend Guinness and Asahi. The ambiance is really cool. The music is upbeat and there are new age paintings adorning the walls. It is a little bit small, but it feels cozy and intimate. The seats are all very comfortable as well. My wife ordered sushi and I got the short ribs- both were exceptional as far as taste is concerned.
google avatar

Kim M.

Yelp
This is the only fine dining Japanese restaurant that I have ever been to that has never disappointed. Everyone from the staff of servers, to the chefs are exactly what I would except from Japanese perfection. Don't miss the opportunity to actually enjoy one of the best restaurants period.
google avatar

Jessy B.

Yelp
This Japanese restaurant rivals the best I've ever had. I did not expect to get such amazing food at a little hole in the wall restaurant. These guys take food to the next level. The servers have an incredibly intimate knowledge of what they sell and a connection with the food itself; Knowing when it arrived and from where, flavor profiles and on point with recommendations based on what you like. We could talk to these guys for hours about sushi and drinks. The restaurant itself is such a great atmosphere. People chatting and enjoying their drinks and talking with the servers. The decor is shogun like and kind of takes you back. There's really not much else to say about the food besides brilliantly crafted, sourced and plated. Try a little bit of everything and you won't go wrong. They have hot plates, yakotori, food from the grill, sushi rolls and, of course, fantastic raw assortments. You can come here with your friends and everyone find something they like. Only draw back is they are a bit small, so large parties may not be able to be accommodated. Secretly hope this place doesn't get huge cause I don't want to have to struggle to get a table, but these guys deserve all the praise. Crossing my fingers for an omikase, soon!

Yelp
Finding this restaurant that takes traditional Japanese flavors & creates some incredibly unique dishes was such a treat. Combining that with phenomenal service, a cool atmosphere & good pricing, it provides all you can ask for. It might be tough to find at first glance but make sure to keep looking, this is not a place you want to skip on! First off, this is a family owned/operated establishment & you can really get a sense for how much effort is put into the dishes here. It seems like every bite you take is loaded with layers of flavor that are crafted with great thought. Whether it's a dish from their grill menu or one of their unique sushi rolls, it's evident that these owners truly know what they're working with. Being a huge fan of sushi, I enjoy that they step outside of the box here. Taking things like a traditional California roll & loading it with real lump crab instead of the usual krab it's made with really make this place special. They offer all the goods like sashimi, nigiri & hand rolls as well. The cuts of fish are outstanding; they're incredibly fresh & basically melt in your mouth. If you're more into classic rolls, they offer some of those too but you can't go here without trying a specialty roll. They're seriously game changing. They offer all sorts of specials that change, which I personally enjoy having the variety. I went for some fried oysters which I'd say might have to be some of the best I've ever had in my life. The oysters were massive & the breading on the outside was crispy but light. There's restaurants located by the water that don't even serve seafood as fresh as here, it's amazing. I can confidently say their braised pork belly is one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten. It's served over a potato puree & bathing in the most incredible soy-based reduction. There's also a crispy black sesame chip on top to give it a nice crunch. I'm not sure where this has been all my life but I can't stop thinking about it now. No exaggeration, it's worthy of being put on anyone's top 5 food list. Near or far, this restaurant is well worth the trip. It's on the small side so be sure to show up early or call for reservations because it fills up quick & the wait can get long. Even if you're late to the party I wouldn't let that sway you because this place is something special. Pembroke Pines is lucky to have this restaurant.

Yelp
Good food, good service. Would definitely go back. We had a nice little table in the corner and we enjoyed our rolls and appetizer. We had the tofu and eggplant appetizer and I had the boogie shrimp roll. My friend had the ital is Vidal roll to suit her vegetarian diet. Enjoyed the evening.

Yelp
I love eating at Kaeru sushi! The tuna Yuke salad is my go to meal! I love the service, all of the workers are friendly and nice. I have a really bad shrimp allergy and they are very careful when it comes to my allergies! It's my favorite place to eat locally, we try to go every other week if possible! That is just how much we like it. The fish is fresh, the flavors are authentic the decor and ambiance are cool! Feels like you are in an izakaya in Japan!

Yelp
My first time here and was absolutely blown away. The service, ambiance, and food were all just incredible. The space is quaint but not crammed. Mellow lighting makes the mood very peaceful. Each dish was carefully thought out and cooked perfectly. The passion fruit miso cod was really a showstopper. Light, not fruit-forward, and perfectly cooked. The pork belly was tender and full of flavor. And it was my first time trying Uni and it was really great. My server Kevin was so pleasant, helpful, and made the experience so much better. 10/10 I'd recommend to everyone looking for good food in Pembroke Pines

Yelp
Someone recommended this spot as a one in a kind of "hole in the wall". Hidden behind a disguised store front with a neon sign that says "Come on in!" A succulent surprise awaits. We tried the nigiri's which were extremely fresh. Rainbow roll with authentic crab was a delight. And the ramen with the suggestion of the chef (upgrade to pork) was truly excellent. Jeremy was our server and the service was friendly and felt authentic, he was very attentive. Looks like they love what they're doing and this place speaks volumes. Will definitely come back!

Yelp
My other friend who is a yelper recommended this place for us to grab lunch! I always trust her choices as she has never seemed to fail (i mean duh she's a yelper). I believe this place is fairly new so their business signage is not built yet so it can be a little confusing to find but fairly easy. But let me tell you how that just shows it doesn't even matter.... Signage or no signage this place as PACKED, and as it should! From the appetizers, to entree, and dessert... all three meals were delicious in their own way. This is a small business so it was really nice to see other customers have a relationship with the owner, sushi chef, waitresses. And even if you are a new customer, like i was, they welcome you as if you've been regulars. Overall this was a beautiful yummy delicious experience and I wish this business nothing but the best! Very happy I got to experience their restaurant while I was visiting. Xoxo

Yelp
Kaeru Sushi & Grill @kaerusushi_pines Pembroke Pines, FL Chill ambiance, great service. I started out with the @floridaavebrewing IPA which was a great pair for the delicious Maryland Roll! Yelp
The restaurant is located in a strip mall next to Sedano's on Pines. The outside looks very inconspicuous, and the lighted signage was not installed yet. You can easily miss the restaurant if you weren't paying attention. When you walk in the restaurant is quite small. There's only about 14 tables of 2 to 4. We came here on a Friday around 8 pm and the restaurant was about 2/3 full. The waiter that greeted me told me they already had a bunch of reservations but he was still able to accommodate me at his last open table. My husband started with a drink. I can't remember the name of it but he said it tasted like a tonic lemon drop. He said it actually tasted good and it was refreshing. I ordered hot tea and got a variety of tea bags with some hot water. I was a bit disappointing it was brewed from tea leaves but I got to try different teas in one sitting. Our waiter was very patient and he knew the menu very well. He was able to describe everything that we had questions about. We ordered the braised pork belly, tofu and mushrooms, miso soup, chirashi bowl, tapas scallops, and the Maryland roll. Yes we were hungry. Everything was so GOOD!!!! We loved the potato purée under the braised pork. It was more like a creamy sauce. The sauce with the scallops was also delish. It was so good, we kept it to dip other things in it as recommended by our waiter. I'm not usually a fan of fusion rolls but the old bay in the Maryland roll was light and went well with the crab meet inside the roll. Overall, I would definitely come back to try their other dishes.

Yelp
Little gem of a place in Pembroke Pines I probably Wouk's have never found without Yelp! Serving Asian fusion style food, this intimate restaurant is not typical of West Broward. The service is extremely welcoming and attentive. As most of dishes are tapas style, I recommend sharing. We shared several dishes including meat skewers, sushi rolls, dumplings, and a salad. Everything was delicious and the entire dining experience was one of the most pleasant ones I have had in a while.

Yelp
I called to order some take out food and was told that they were busy and that the waiter needed to ask the kitchen if they could do take out. I was on old for five minutes with no answer. I hanged up and tried to call back but the phone was just busy. Then I went to the restaurant to order but once again I was told by the waiter they needed to ask the kitchen before he cale back telling me it would be a 40min wait. It took him less than a minute to do it when they could have saved me a trip if they just told me over the phone. This is not the first time that has happened either. Very dissatisfied with the service.

Yelp
This was our first visit. It was recommended by my husband's co-worker and as usual he was 100% on point. The location was a little challenging to find because they don't have a sign outside so we drove by it. Once we found it we were very impressed. It's a very intimate setting beautifully decorated. We didn't have reservations but arrived at 6:00pm when they opened and were able to be seated immediately. Our server Jeremy came within minutes introducing us to their specials. The dishes were typically Japanese and he described them in detail. We had a great dinner and discovered amazing tastes that are not the typical dishes that we are accustomed to at our other favorite sushi restaurants. Be sure to try the absolutely delicious orange clam appetizer followed by the Edamame with truffle salt. We had the NY Bagel and Smokey Dream rolls and the Yakitori sampler which was a delicious assortment of of skewered grilled meats. This is definitely a beautiful place for an intimate dinner for 2 or small gathering with friend - definitely make reservations if you can.

Yelp
Great little spot. It was close to the venue where we were working. We tried a fair amount of things. The things that stuck out in my mind was the chu toro nigiri, negitoro rolls were also good. Spicy tuna was actually spicy which was nice. Toro melted in your mouth like its supposed too. Fish didnt smell and tasted really fresh. Staff was super friendly and helpful as well. Will definitely return if ever in the area.

Yelp
After seeing the 5 stars reviews I was skeptical, so I decided to give it a try, I must tell you that the moment i open the door I knew everything that was said about the place was true. I was welcomed and sat down immediately and waiter was friendly and professional, he went over the specials and recommendations. I took his recommendation and I started with adémame and a hot sake, then 3 rolls of specialty sushi, I gotta tell you the fish was fresh, beautiful and delicious. I was blown away of how good everything was. I will definitely go back and take my friends and family. The place is wonderful decorated and cozy perfect for a date.

Yelp
Last week we found this little hidden gem. This gem is so hidden that they don't have a sign up but you will need reservations because it's tight quarters in there. The food is exceptionally good. Pork belly and potato purée was delish so glad we ordered it. Poke bowl was delish. Fresh tuna and it came with this rice seasoned crips. Based on the reviews I wanted to try the Old Maryland Roll. Everyone was right! Thanks faithful yelpers! That lump of crab was seasoned perfectly you can tell it's fresh! The Red dragon roll was on point as well. Our server was very knowledgeable and we definitely will be back.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of finding Kaeru through Instagram and I am so glad because it was a match made in the stars. The restaurant is decorated with Japanese painting and a projector playing sumo wrestling to keep you entertained while you wait. It's perfect for date night or for drinks after work. The staff was very attentive and informative in describing the items on the menu. We decided to do a variety of the tapas including the Korean Calamari, Chicken Katsu Tenders, and the Flying Dumplings. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. All the sauces that were provided paired perfectly with the meal. For the flying dumpling it's like a mango spicy sauce super good. Wish the portion sizes were a bit bigger but hey they're tapas so just leaves more space in your tummy to try more things. Will come back for sure !

Yelp
I can't believe how long I've been sleeping on this place. The food is so delicious, I wish I could eat here every week. Sushi and yakitori were amazing, the specials of the day (katsu and mushrooms) were prepared perfectly. Service was on point, ambience was authentic. I really don't think you can order a bad thing here. Can't wait to bring all my friends and family back.
