Great coffee and a Khruangbin playlist? In Mainz? Sound like heaven. It’s a quaint little place which is definitely worth visiting. Great service, great coffee, great music.

A very pleasant place in Mainz 🌸 I discovered this café spontaneously, while wandering around the city. I was attracted by the café's small window through which you can place an order. Since then, every time I go back to Mainz, I return to this café. The latte is really good and I'd like to give a special mention to their banana bread with a knob of butter on top, which is just excellent ! It's the perfect place for a solo date or a date with friends :))

This is a delightful coffee shop that offers scrumptious coffee, pastries, and bread. The amicable staff is proficient in English and provides outstanding service. If you happen to be in Mainz, this is a must-visit spot that you shouldn't miss.

Google
A good coffee place with a very and friendly staff and a cosy outside seating. The pastry - a shortbread - was good as well. On the other hand, the coffee was a bit a disappointment: not bad overall, but definitely not up to the standard - too creamy and watery, coffee taste itself felt weak.

I know, it's an issue of personal preference but there are two things I would like to point out: explicitly no sugar as it should not be necessary for a well prepared coffee and the offered omni roast profile. I've never understood why an espresso should be much stronger or more bitter and not as fruity as a filter coffee. The prepared coffees at Kaffeekommune are excellent and so is the coffee they sell. I both recommend to go there and to buy their coffee beans for home.

Best coffee in town. Besides excellent specialty coffee (roasted by themselves) Kaffeekommune also offers selected exciting coffee variations. Eg their winter menu includes the combination of a Colombian natural with deer ham - sounds crazy but both tasted delicious.

Lovely cafe with a calm and relaxed atmosphere. We had fantastic coffee- cappuccinos and some cake. They roast their own speciality coffees! Highly recommend 👌

Yelp
A very cool and hip place located in Mainz, but one I really wish was in Frankfurt. Kaffeekommune is some of the best coffee I've tasted in the Frankfurt and Mainz area, to be honest. Their flat white was smooth and perfectly balanced. The milk was velvety and I wish I hadn't gotten take away and walked away or I would have ordered another. I am so happy to see places like this popping up. I, personally, take insult to when sugar is put in coffee (sorry Deutschlanders), but most coffee in this country needs sugar or something to help it. It is rare that I find places like this that offer such an ideal espresso that it does not need sugar. Take mind, I will NEVER go to a place where I'd need to put sugar in my coffee because that is a surefire indicator that the coffee sucks. But then again, I was a barista in Scandinavia for quite some time years ago so I am a bit of a coffee snob. No sugar needed at Kaffeekommune. The best thing about this place is that it embraces simplicity and the products they sell. They won't serve a subpar product. They also offer efficient and kind customer service. At night from Thursday on throughout the week, this place turns into a craft beer bar. Kaffeekommune- please come to Frankfurt!!!

Yelp
Great expresso and solid flat white - packed on a Sunday afternoon but service still quick and friendly

Yelp
Excellent coffee. Wonderful atmosphere and the food is very good too. I suggest the porridge and the flat white!
