Kaffi Ilmur

One of my favorite places in Iceland. We had a quick stop at this place to get a food before going back on a road and it was such a memorable experience that next time I will be in Iceland I will definitely visit it again. I am vegetarian and I had such a delicious meal. Highly recommended

By far my favorite restaurant in Akureyri! The food is fresh and homemade but the atmosphere is what makes it ALL worth it. The ladies who work here make sure you feel at home. Their warmth and welcome makes everything taste even better. If you’re in town make sure to at least have a delicious cafe here. Oh and the bagels are 🤤 🙌🏼 exquisite!

Super nice and cosy place to land for coffee and cakes (and much more, but we did not try at that time). First things first...the coffee and cakes were divine. And to our surprise...the owner spotted us to be Dutch, because she is as well :) That was fun...and she is super nice and helpful. So whenever up North...go there and enjoy!

Lovely coffee shop in the city centre! Best croissant I've had in Iceland, great variety of breakfast choices (e.g., an excellent Shakshuka), and very nice coffee (very mild and well balanced espresso), plus super lovely service and a very cozy atmosphere.

If you visit Akureyri, you must stop at Kaffi Ilmur! Cozy ambient and tasty food, very welcome and nice service also! We had an awesome dinner, trying the traditional lamb soup and the pasta with salmon. Next day we visited again the place but for breakfast! Again worth it! Children of the group loved everything!

I don’t want to spoil the place but this is the coffee place and brunch place where this is not crowded with large queues of families. The place is quiet and comforting, food is a treat , service is fine, tables are large and clean. As a family, we recommend this place
