I just don't know where to start with this, since in my life as a traveler (both fun and business), I have never experienced such inhospitable treatment, laid back approach to the situation at hand by the hotel staff and manager.
Booking had bee. done two weeks in advance, with two follow up calls made to ensure reservations are in place and confirmed, only to travel there from Nairobi to be told the rooms are fully booked. The manager and staff turned on us and told us, we should have paid a deposit, which wasn't communicated by the receptionist Steve and the lady I later spoke to (name I would gladly forget).
I would really never recommend anyone to stay here ever, in a million lifetimes. The fact that they weren't apologetic of the situation, never got us another booking in an affiliate hotel or otherwise, didn't make an effort to provide transport to the next hotel we booked ourselves despite the fatigue was just inexplicably annoying. Instead, they just smiled and 'waved' typical of any ignorant arrogant human.
If the owner ever gets to read this review, then I would pray that this be an eye opener for him, at what goes on at his 'famous' establishment that is known for "Low-key rooms in a laid-back hotel with a pool & dining, plus a sports bar with live entertainment" which laid back I think refers to the staff and nothing to do with the hotel. Thanks for the low-key reception @KahamaHotel ❎
