Kahama Hotel

The "garden" side rooms are great, not so noisy.. love to sit at the circular window in the restaurant and watch the hustle outside.. managed to get early 6am checkin, checked out 5am next day and paid only one night, was looking for such hotel specifically, since with the traffic is best to travel at night.. love the big mirrors in the rooms..

Really impressed with this hotel, tucked away in a quiet street, which we stayed in the night before returning to the UK. A very clean and comfortable room and good food and service in the pleasantly-presented restaurant. The site is gated and there is a night porter. Asante sana - we will be back next year.|(Guests be aware that there are two long flights of steps to negotiate.)

I visit this hotel once every week. The rooms are okay but not all of them, some don't have hot showers but u will be told to wait for five minutes but still they will not warm the water. Again there are friendly staff and also very unfriendly staff who will not listen to your concern until u request for your refund. U will call them early before 4pm to request for iron box only for u to get there at 9pm and ur told ironbox is kept by housekeeper and they will come in at 7 in the morning. Rooms pricing is not standard as there days ur given rooms near the road at a specific price and the ones at the center at a higher price. Also the rooms are dusty. Even buying a drink with big note u will be requested to look for a smaller note and when u decide to leave the drink is when the receptionist goes to look for loose money from colleagues...as i said have been sleeping here for sometimes and am looking forward to getting a different one going forward. But u can give a trial maybe it was a bad day for me!

The hotel was easy to find and centrally located which makes going to other places in Nairobi very convenient. The staff were warm and helpful and the facilities were great. Would definitely come back again if I'm in Nairobi

BE AWARE and stay away from this hotel. The worst place you can imagine to spend your money. I got assigned the wrong room with torn beddings , cold shower and a washroom that was non-functional. Upon checking in I went straight to the reception and explained the situation. Long story short the manager pleaded I stay and he would sort things out and give my refund . He seemed pleasant enough to be trusted but, on my check out he bailed out on me and would not respond to my calls. Thankfully I used Mastercard and took lots of photos for proof. Never going there again. STAY AWAY.

We felt well looked after the whole time we stayed there. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional. The rooms were basic but clean and offered excellent value for money. The food was great with a nice variety of local meals to choose from at a reasonable price. The service was great in the restaurant as well. We would definitely stay there again.
