We had the best day thanks to Kahuak. They organised a completely bespoke sparkling wine tasting day for us, based on our preferences. The Chandon wine pairing lunch was fantastic - we stayed there for a few hours afterwards as we enjoyed it so much. Couldn’t recommend this company more!

I booked the “Experiencia Aconcagua” tour with Ventas Kahuak, and unfortunately it turned into a terrible experience even before it started. I made the reservation online on August 12 and started communicating with them via WhatsApp. They asked me to make a transfer to a bank account in the United States, even though the agency is based in Mendoza. That already raised doubts: it shouldn’t be the customer’s job to deal with unusual or unclear payments, but the agency’s responsibility to organize safe and transparent transactions, and then manage their earnings abroad internally given the volatility of the peso. A week later they told me the transfer hadn’t arrived and asked me to check with my bank. Everything on my side was correct. Another week later, they even asked me to try to block the transfer because they were having “problems with their U.S. account.” My bank obviously confirmed this wasn’t possible. Then they disappeared until three days before the tour (September 13), when they asked me to check if I had received the refund. I had indeed received the money back, but I lost about 40 dollars in bank fees. At that point, they asked how I wanted to pay again. I told them I had lost confidence and didn’t feel comfortable doing the tour with them. They first offered me a discount equal to the lost fees, then it even seemed like they wanted to offer me the tour for free, but always explained in a vague and unclear way. I refused: services should be paid for, but they must be delivered without creating stress or problems. A travel agency should take worries away, not add more. With Ventas Kahuak I only experienced weeks of confusion, uncertainty, wasted time, and lost money. I absolutely do not recommend them.

So we originally booked the Wine and Olive Oil tour but they screwed up the booking and didn't really help us out any. Other than that, the Wine tour they did take us on was really fun! Fernando, the tour guide, was very informative and enthusiastic. Three beautiful winery's and a lunch were included. Though the lunch was on the lighter side, it tasted delicious. Overall, fun trip, even if it wasn't the tour we originally signed up for. Would have gotten 5 stars had they gotten the booking correct.

I did a fantastic wine tour with these guys. We visited 3 first class wineries, had a wonderful 5 course meal, and our guide Dani was better than one could have imagined. It was a fantastic experience.

We had a wonderful adventure in Mendoza, we were able to taste delicious wine in 3 different wineries and ending on tasty lunch. Our guide Rosialio has been absolutely fantastic, she is a subject expert in the history of Mendoza and fine critique! Thank you Kahuak! Alicja&Angelo

Well, the first 85% went well. We booked a group wine tour where we visited three wineries and had lunch at the third. Our tour guide Anita was very friendly and accommodating, especially recognizing that we were the only two who didn’t speak Spanish (or Portuguese). The first winery (Salentein) is gorgeous and a must-see for any visitor. The second was good but not remarkable, and the third (Andeluna) had a fantastic view and good food. The reason for 1 star is that on the way back (90 minute drive), one of the other guests had too much to drink and threw up in the front of the bus (we were in the front row). They pulled over and cleaned up (needed a mop on the inside of the bus), and we continued on down the road. About 10 min later the same person threw up again in the bus (this time on the inside of the door and window), at which point the bus stopped and cleaned up again. At this point we’re an hour away from our hotel, and I don’t want to be stuck in a bus with a person who has twice vomited inside the bus. I asked if the person could be left here and travel separately, but I got a firm “no.” The plan was to just keep driving toward Mendoza and stop whenever this guy needed to vomit, hopefully outside the bus this time. We decided enough was enough, got off the bus, leaving the drunk guy and the rest of the group, and paying a private driver 2,500 pesos to bring us back to our hotel. Overall, the trip could have been nice but was ruined by one person not being able to behave well, and by the tour guide not intervening to ensure the comfort of the passengers.
