I thought the coffee was good. It’s definitely an upgrade from a Starbucks, but it’s not as unique as some other “roast their own beans” coffee shops I been to recently (not in NYC, though).
I’m got the Ethiopian brew, and it definitely was more bitter than all Ethiopian coffee I’ve had over the last two years (a lot, since it’s been my new fave).
I do want to comment that, in reading the reviews, it seems odd to me that the owners are so negative to the people who leave negative reviews. I think those are an opportunity to learn rather than to lash out at people reviewing, and not in great form to not be able to take criticism.
