Family-friendly outdoor activities in Hong Kong to thrill your kids
"Built on the former airport site, this expansive sports and entertainment hub offers more than eight hectares of outdoor space with statue- and fountain-lined plazas, badminton and basketball courts, an open-air theatre and a Youth Sports Ground for kids to burn off energy. A public multi-lane athletic track is available when not reserved for events, while indoor attractions include the city’s largest indoor playground, a 17.5-metre rock-climbing wall, a Namco arcade and a 40-lane bowling alley. With 70-plus dining choices and plazas for casual walks or pick-up games, it’s designed for full-day family outings." - Joy FangandCraig Sauers
Great experience at Kai Tak Stadium. I saw Arsenal vs Spurs here in the summer of 2025 and the atmosphere was awesome. The stadium is modern, clean and very well organised, with great sightlines and a really smooth crowd flow in and out. It felt like a proper big-match occasion and easily one of the best live football experiences I’ve had in Asia.

Definitely one of the best stadiums in the world I've been to. It's up there with Bayern Munichs Allianz and The Tottenham Hotspur stadium. It's brilliant and the atmosphere at the 7s was unreal.

Great world class stadium, with AIRSIDE and Kai Tak Mall within 20 minutes walk. There is good food outlets and restaurants nearby. Kai Tak mall is very big and AIRSIDE is around 15-20 minutes walk away. Downside is lack of transport nearby, and bus station is very inconvenient and forced to walk way longer way due to the construction works nearby.

Got to see my one and only club Tottenham Hotspur in this new, amazing stadium standing on the site of the former iconic Kai Tak Airport! There was aircon all throughout the stadium during the match! Visited Hong Kong from Manila just to come here! Malls beside the stadium also offer many food options!

Facilities are superb - however food services and shops are a bit lacking in experience. I was there for the HK7s and it was a disaster. Although I waited in line for 45 min, spent a ridiculous amount of money on food - the service was below my expectations. I will give them the benefit of the doubt considering it was a big event.keep it up guys see you soon !!

From Sung Wong Tai MTR exit D and following the sigh to this access the stadium, for me it took like 20 minutes to arrive there. The sign is clear and you won’t miss it. The stadium is has escalators and lift to goto different level of stadium. Fast food shop and drinking water tap is available. Toilets are located in different spot, clean and tidy.

The gorgeous Kai Tak Sports Park main stadium, designed by architects Populous. Nickname “The Pearl of the Orient”, its color changing with the light, bluish-purple to a sheeny grey.
