Simply breathtaking. The trip from Ogle to get to Kaieteur National Park is approximately 1 hour. While at the park, you're provided with snacks and liquids (juice and water). Time to hike. Now, on this hike, which lasted about 90 mins, you have the opportunity to visit 4 view points of the falls... each gets better as you move closer and closer. Story time My personal bad experience Now, going on a trip as this, I packed my DJI mini 3 pro drone. At the second vantage point, I decided to grab a video of the falls using my drone. It was amazing. While flying, all I kept thinking of was how good the end product would have been while ignoring a warning that says the drone would auto land in x seconds because we were in a restricted area. Unfortunately, the timer ran out, and that was the beginning of the end. The drone slowly went down, and I could do nothing but watch as I was unable to control the aircraft at this point. The word Incredible does not even begin to describe this place. What a beautiful piece of nature! I came during the dry season so the fall was not at its fullest. Nevertheless, it was such a sight to behold! The walk from the run way strip to the fall itself was not bad at all, though it was a very hot day so I recommend bringing water. Overall, amazing place to visit!

Although our tour had many pitfalls, this was an amazing site to see. I'm so thankful to have had the opportunity to see this great attraction. Kaieteur Falls is a must-see single drop waterfall. Just research the tour companies and choose wisely.

The world's tallest single drop waterfall at 741 feet! Majestic and beautiful. The surrounding environment makes a stunning panoramic scenic photograph. Would require an easy 15 minutes walk on flat ground from the airstrip to the waterfall. Must see in Guyana

The majesty of this awesome natural force was truly one to behold. Photos could never do justice to seeing it in person. It was a rainy day and the fog obscured the gorge and the falls at sometime of the viewing points. It would be best to go on a day that it’s not likely to storm, but that may also mean not seeing the falls in it’s entire grandeur as the river may have a low flow. Everything about this trip was memorable and the tour guides were wonderful. We left from Ogle Airport and 9 people were on our trip, for which we received a discount from the tour company. Flights can be cancelled at the last moment due to not meeting the minimum number of passengers so plan accordingly for that. Definitely wear slip-resistant and water-resistant shoes. There is a short walk from the trail to each view point. Some parts of the path have pools of water from rainfall that you will have to walk through and it gets a little muddy. Don’t wear your nice shoes! Under the canopy, along the trail, wet leaves make the ground extremely slippery. The guides helped older people on the tour to step up on a large rock or step down, but be sure you can manage the walk which lasts for about 90 minutes or so. Unfortunately, it is not a handicap-accessible site. They provided water but you can take extra and don’t forget the sunscreen and insect-repellant. Also, don’t take away anything from the site! Be a good guest and leave everything as it is and don’t leave any waste behind.

Before you leave this earth, visit the Kaieteur Falls. You will find peace and serenity. It is the freshest air you can ever inhale and fill your lungs with. The most gorgeous birds your eyes have ever seen or hear sing.

Incredible place hidden inside the Amazon Jungle. To get here you have to buy a tour from one of the local companies. Then you will spend almost an hour in the very small plane that will take you to the jungle. After 15 minutes of trekking you will reach the destination - absolutely spectacular Kaieteur Waterfall. There are 3 stops during the road with different views of the waterfall. Make sure you will look also at the trees and plants - for sure somewhere is sitting little gold frog that is endemic to the Pacaraima region. ADDITIONAL INFO: to have the best view at the Kaieteur from the airplane, sit on the left side of the plane during your flight there and on the right side, when you will be going back to Georgetown. Your welcome, have a nice trip!

Just do it. If you have the opportunity: just go there. You have to spend some money, but if you don’t do it, you will regret it later!
