Beyond sakura: the spiritual practice of flower-chasing in Kamakura - SilverKris

"A small eatery located within the temple complex that provides a modest, convenient menu for visitors—hot drinks, vegan Japanese curry rice, udon noodles and locally brewed Kamakura beer—making it a practical spot for a casual meal while exploring the gardens." - Mari Krueger

Small stop after visit in a Temple. Great rise dumplings 😍and ginger soda. We also tried Blue Syrup Float and Fish Soup. 🍜 Nice place with pretty views to the ocean. 🌊

Restaurant in the Hase-dera temple complex serving traditional Buddhist vegetarian, vegan set meals. It is a bit difficult to find vegetarian options in Japan, so this is a must visit. Very tasty food. Had the curry udon noodles. Beautiful ambience as well. Can get quite busy during bust season. You may have to wait for a table.

The restaurant was packed when we arrived, and had to wait quite a while. They have seats for waiting, so that was great. We were then escorted to our seat and given the menu to order. Even though they serve vegetarian, the soup base is fish, so please take note. The food was great. They only take cash. The toilet is clean too. The view is great.

Amazing views from the restaurant, you can see kites (birds of prey) flying around. The food is simple but delicious. Recommended to come here for a meal.

Had dango and got grab tea. With a perfect view of Kamakura beach. A must for that incredible view. Peaceful and calming.

Slightly pricey but the great view is worth it! It might be packed on weekends but weekdays are great. They only have vegetarian food, which is quite rare to find in Japan, but then again this restaurant is situated in a Buddhist temple! Right now they have hydrangea-inspired drinks. The blue is a sour drink reminiscent of lemonade and the purple apparently has a sweeter, more floral taste according to the waitress. It costs 600 yen but it was nice to get out of the heat and rest.

Really happy to find a Japanese restaurant only serve vegetarian food. Their curry is so good, I even bought the food package home. Great ocean view, it is nice to sit here when it was 30 degree outside. I also like their steam bun, not bad for vege bun.
