Here’s why you should make Koriyama your next getaway from Tokyo - SilverKris

"A tranquil, rarely crowded park centered on a large duck-filled lake, with recreational facilities including a baseball stadium, walking course and an open-air concert hall that comes alive during seasonal festivals." - SilverKris

Nothing much to see during late spring, but the park was relatively quiet on a weekday and there are some nice garden to view the flowers. Not worth the drive up to visit this place.

There is also a steam locomotive on the spacious grounds. There is also a Pokemon Lucky themed park in one area, which is fun.

Excellent park all around and it is adorned with Pokemon!! I was here when sakura was in full bloom but was raining. So the minus is the rain but the plus is it was literally empty, so taking an umbrella to enjoy the sakura alone is mesmerizing! Plus the rain drops make for wonferful reflection photos! Definitely worth a revisit when the weather is better but all experiences are worthwhile and this is one where you have no requirements to Photoshop any one out of your pictures because simply put there is no one there to ruin you and the sakura!!

Great park fit for everyone and all year round. Starting with Cherry blossoms in spring, Rose garden in Summer (June/July) and Autumn (October) and cozy snowfall in winter. Go alone, with your kids or your family. Just loved it.

Now, sakura began to bloom in some sections in this park. The atmosphere was so nice and refreshing.
