Kala Bahia

The restaurant location is beautiful. But that's where the positive stops. They got a wonderful location, and from there they just did everything wrong. Service can basically not be there. Tables are brown from dirt . The waiter's mind is all about talking to each other rather than guests. Prices are way above the value (expect for natural location) U don't even get a fan too help with heat. Bathroom are terrible, pee smell and staff don't care. People coming to take Instagram pictures but after that it's just a bla place that no one wants to make it what it could be. Power outage happen a few times Wifi - they said is not working from the moment we enter. Basically the only place in goa with no WiFi but price as if they are the best place to go too. Food - there are half price and 3 times better places all around. Will definitely not recommend. They just relay on location and social media but have zero ambitious to provide something good or worth a while and value to their guests.

Great food, cocktails and location. We came here twice on our Goa trip, and enjoyed the DJ set both times. Excellent sunset views as well. On the pricier side for Goa but worth it.

We didn’t stay here, but came for dinner. It was a gorgeous location! They have beautiful views, stunning sunset with tables right by the water! The servers were helpful and knowledgable too. The food was also delicious - especially the steak! And some great cocktails..! They have love music on satruday nights 7-10 pm if you’re looking for a bit of a party..

We had our wedding party at Kala Bahia and we could not have asked for a better location. We stumbled across this magical place on a holiday a little while after we got engaged. When we got there we knew we wanted Kala Bahia to be part of our special day. We set up a meeting with Mati and she was incredibly kind, helpful and clearly experienced in hosting a variety of events which gave us the confidence to go ahead with the plan. We had 70 guests travel from all around the world to be here on this day and it was the perfect location, food, vibe and host to accommodate us. Mati was approachable and available to liaise with us throughout our wedding planning to help us arrange stationery, music, cake, drinks, activities, food - every little detail (and more) was perfect - even the surprise fireworks which topped off the night. Every time we visit Goa we visit Kala Bahia and now I am so glad we forever get to associate our wedding day with this beautiful place. Thank you to Mati and all the staff for helping us pull this off.

Kala Bahia is a mixed bag of experiences. While the location boasts stunning sunset views and an incredible ambience that sets the mood for a relaxing evening, the overall experience was unfortunately marred by poor service and average offerings. The ambience of Kala Bahia is undoubtedly its strongest point. The chic decor, soothing beachside vibe, and breathtaking views of the sun dipping into the horizon create a magical atmosphere. However, the service was far from satisfactory. The waitstaff seemed reluctant and uninterested, making us feel unwelcome and neglected. It took an unreasonable amount of time for someone to approach our table, let alone serve us properly. This lack of attentiveness left us disappointed and uncomfortable. The drinks were passable – nothing extraordinary, but decent enough. However, the food was mediocre and didn’t match the premium vibe of the place. Considering the stunning location and potential, it’s disheartening that the overall experience fell flat due to poor service and average food quality. Kala Bahia could be an excellent spot if they prioritize improving their service and food standards. For now, it’s a place best visited solely for the view and ambience, not the full dining experience.

We went to Kala Bahia for dinner after a recommendation, and it was awesome! The vibe was super lively with a fun, cheerful crowd, and we ended up meeting some really cool people. The food was great – some dishes are more geared towards a Western palate, so they might not be super flavorful for Indian taste, but I really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was so relaxed and pleasant. We missed the views, but I’m sure they’re amazing in the evening. Can’t wait to come back on our next trip to Palolem!

The sunset view and general vibe of the place was very enjoyable. The cocktail menu was interesting, as was the food menu. We didn’t order much since we were mostly there for the views and vibes, but what we did order was decent.
