Kalaeloa Airport

The people are laid back the vibes are chill. You know you're at the last house on the block. Plenty of stuff to do. Aulani, and Wet & Wild are close by. Great for E-Bike rides. You can buy a Hummer close by!

It's great, I love watching the planes take off and land.

Cool little general aviation airport. Has some neat old military aircraft to climb on. An old DC-8 resides here along with a DC-6. Use to have a museum....but the state is shutting that down. Update 14DEC24: Well, the state shur down the museum and shredded all the planes. A nice way to treat our history.

Just took an initial fixed wing flight in a Cessna out to Ka'ena Point. Nice hour or so of flight time. A great way to take in Oahu and have a little fun! Definitely going to try scheduling another flight!

Thanks for going above and beyond! This airport is doing something right with their employees. This the first time I have encountered multiple TSA employees who act like they love their job and the people they encounter. Most of the time TSA employees look and act like they are miserable, not in Honolulu! Great job! Thanks for making our trip that much more pleasant and enjoyable. Thanks for showing your personality and humor. I can't say enough about how you stand out as the example of what I'd like to see more of. Please keep it up, you make the world a better place with your pleasant disposition!!!

Great airport with outstanding air traffic controllers, security, fire department, and state maintenance workers. A little gem off the beaten path. Conveniently located for increased passenger service via airliners or private jet service. Great alternative to Honolulu International Airport.

We stopped here just around 6:00 knowing we wouldn't make it to the big 3 further down the road. We were not disappointed. The shrimp was very tasty. The garlic butter was perfect and made the rice so rich in flavor that we wanted more.

Small but it is basically used for barbers point aircraft. I'm sure other planes and helicopters use this airport but it's been in Hawaii for years. Very Quiet slot of the jets take off from here also.
