My experience was amazing!!! Elian helped me check in at the front, he was very helpful and kind. (I believe his name tag said Vladimir). Our room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The service was 5 stars. The workers are incredible. This resort has everything you need to have an amazing vacation!

Went for indoor park on a day pass with son. Grabbed two waffle cones and he spent the whole day in wave pool. Pretty much what I expected. Full house on a Sunday when raining. Food and adult beverages inside. Chili was actually quite good. Could be difficult to grab a table as people claim and leave things while enjoying everything. If my son is happy with it, mission accomplished. Not my thing but he had a great time!

We’re a family of 4: 2 adults, a 7yo and a 2yo. We had an amazing time. There were so many things for us to do. In addition to the waterparks, they had a bedtime story time, a dance party, and arts and crafts. All of this came with the stay. We also enjoyed the arcade (additional cost). The costumer service was excellent. The resort was very clean and well kept. We were already planning our next stay before we checked out.

The indoor waterpark was fabulous! Perfect for all ages!! The water was decent temp as well! The arcade was pretty great! The little ice cream shop had great ice cream and was reasonably priced. The pizza here was fabulous!! However, on a day pass you did have to rent towels if you didn’t bring any. Some slides are only opened at certain times. Everything was connected which was nice! The overall location is decent to get to. But once you’re there it’s nice because y it’s like you’re in your own spot. Everyone seemed friendly as far as workers. They had lockers available as well. There were short lines for slides and things. The outdoor waterpark was a good selection too!

Been here numerous times on different occasions. Resort overall is decent and has a lot of amenities. Our recent trip there was not so great. They started by giving us the wrong room. Had to stay one night in that room but they moved us the next day. Our new room had the balcony door handle installed backwards so it ended up smashing our daughters fingers when she went to close the door. Bring your own pillow! The resort pillows are super uncomfortable. Most of the staff does not know English. People hold chairs so it can be hard to find somewhere to sit. The fridges never get cold. They just stay cool.

Google
Disappointed with the Experience – Not Worth the Price We had high expectations for Kalahari Resort given the premium price, but unfortunately, our experience fell far short. Nearly every interaction with staff was unpleasant—rude, unhelpful, and dismissive. It felt like we were an inconvenience rather than valued guests. One major issue was being locked out of our room for over 30 minutes because the battery on the door lock died. This should be something the resort regularly checks and maintains. On top of that, the microwave in our room didn’t work and had to be replaced after we called for help. When it rained during our stay, they closed all outdoor pools—which is understandable—but once the rain stopped, they only reopened the outdoor area at the main resort, not at our specific building. It felt like guests outside the main building were treated as second-class. To make matters worse, there wasn’t even a staffed front desk in our section of the resort—we had to call the main resort for help with anything. Overall, we paid a luxury price for a stay that felt more like a budget motel experience. We expected much better service, responsiveness, and organization. Sadly, we won’t be returning.

We had a great time at the water park and had a nice dinner at Sortino's Italian Kitchen! Only bad thing about our stay was our hotel room. Uncomfortable mattresses and pillows, along with a noisy A.C. unit. Other than that, we had an awesome time. Huge plus was the service, all the employees were super nice.

Google
We love our stay here. We were offered complimentary upgrade to our room which was really nice. The balcony was large and oversees the Waterpark and offered us privacy from the main rows of the balconies as we were more in the corner of the building. Quiet, considering the highway with a great view of the woods that displayed the thunderstorms off in the distance. We enjoyed our time. Love the amenities before and after checking in/ out. The staff is very kind and accommodating. Lots to do here. We are definitely coming back soon.

Yelp
They have thought of everything! It really is a resort. Walking in there are self-serve kiosks for checking in BUT there was someone walking around making sure nobody had any questions. I loved that for my party of 4 I was able to choose which wristbands I wanted to have the option to charge things to (you can turn the feature on or off for as many people as you want). It was great that it served as a room key too! We arrived at 10:30am even though check in technically wasn't until 4pm. Our room was ready within an hour, which was a huge bonus surprise!! It really helped us out. You can access so much in the hotel, besides the water park. There are restaurants and bars and our favorite, Tom Foolery (arcade and indoor attractions like go karts and laser tag), They had a free train ride INSIDE the hotel that was 10 minutes long and the train car fit all members of our family, including my 6' 6" husband. They had a nightly story-time at 7:30pm, which was sweet because early literacy is crucial! Our room was so spacious I could have done multiple cartwheels if I had wanted to. Beds and linens were comfy. Room service was top notch, even folding the towel to look like an elephant. The shampoo / body wash was nice and made me actually feel clean. The water park was understandably chaotic and they had guards everywhere but things could easily be missed because of so many blind spots. However, the guards were all on alert and doing their jobs professionally. I walked into the wave pool ankle-deep with a drink in hand and a whistle blew to get me outta there. Much respect to that! There are so many slides! I was really impressed with all the slides they had for the crowd under 100lbs. Lots of options! Also, so many life vests were available for kiddos. Many of the slides had an individual weight limit of 250lbs but only 2 of them had an actual scale that didn't display a number but instead had a red light or green light, The hot tubs stated you needed to be 6 years old but since nobody was outside guarding the outdoor family hot tub there were sooooo many little ones, much much younger than 6. There were bars and a food counter but be prepared for $7 hot dogs and $30 pizzas. Thankfully there was a $17 cup with free refills, which js the real MVP. The showers in the locker room had strong pressure (the hotel room was much weaker but at least it was hot!) and the locker rooms ran out of shampoo/conditioner/body wash but it was the same kind as the hotel room. On the day we checked out we brought our toiletries and a change of clothes to the water park with us so we could shower and change into dry clothes even after we no longer had access to our room. I would definitely recommend the water park + Tom Foolery package. It was a great combo! The indoor water park is expanding in fall 2026 so I would wait until then to schedule a trip. Overall, phenomenal time!

Yelp
I don't think I'm cut out for resorts. So this review may not seem 3/5 worthy. Pros: able to check in early without having to pay the fee. Water park included with stay. Towels included with stay. Jacuzzi tub was nice. Bed comfy including pillows. I liked the convenience of having just the wristband to pay for everything so you don't have to bring your wallet to the water park. Cons: lots of people, pricey

Yelp
The waterpark and main hotel where we stayed were clean and well kept. Cleaning staff remained in the waterpark continuously during our visit. The smell was a normal hotel smell. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, they were also available at the check in kiosks if we had questions. The lifeguards were attentive and nice. The prices are comparable to other attractions-resorts but more accessible because if you have a room you can take breaks there to eat and then get back into the fun, just plan accordingly. I suggest the following based on advice from others on Yelp and our experience: 1. If cost is an issue bring your own bottled water and snacks to keep in your room. 2. Bring water shoes, you can't wear them down some slides but you can leave them at the top and retrieve them later. They helped with all the walking around the water park. 3. Bring your own towels. 4. Bring good lotion and chapstick. I imagine the air is dry outside the water park on purpose for facility preservation. It made sense and didn't bother us. 5. Early check in is a great add on and allowed us to maximize a one night visit. 6. Try to request a room on the 4th floor. I imagine not hearing people above you is helpful.

Yelp
We came here because it was advertised as "the largest indoor waterpark". Honestly, the Ohio location felt bigger. The only difference I noticed was the Tom Foolery Adventure Park. The Tom Foolery Park was great. My son loved it. The Tom Foolery room package was worth it for us. Unlimited rides of laser tag, 4D theater, small roller coaster, Ferris wheel, merry go round, mini golf, ropes course. You can pay to go bowling, arcade games, mirror maze. It wasn't a bad experience. Just for an Ohio family, we wish we would've stayed in Ohio rather than travel so far for not much of a difference between to two locations. Hotel was clean. Staff was friendly. Water was freezing. Didn't realize Wisconsin in August was so cold (high of 82 and cloudy, Ohio was 90s). These water parks always make me appreciate how well behaved my own kids are.

Jason K.

Yelp
3 stars. Same as every other indoor water park experience. Main issue is the inefficiency, nothing is easy here, long lines at every turn. Getting a snack or a simple cup Of coffee is a pain. The water park is nice, but very over crowded. Kids enjoyed themselves, renting the cabana was a saving grace, it gave us a 'barrier' and place for the kids to relax and chill without the crowd. Best advice: get the cabana, plan ahead, prepare for long wait times. Reservations are a must.

Yelp
The hotel eventually gave us a full refund. I will never go back to the dells because that grossed me out. Hopefully they will fumigate.

Yelp
The kids were entertained and had a great time! Definitely a do at least once with the kiddos type place! The rooms are very spacious. We had the two bedroom suite in the main building so we were close to everything. Definitely a great place for both small kids and teenagers. I wouldn't necessarily say it's a place that I would do every year but it is a nice place to experience I would rather drive out for food much better prices much better food outside the resort and really close by. The nearby gas station definitely has everything and more of what you need including a liquor section with all the spirit you could need and want.

Michael C.

Yelp
The waterpark is safe and good for kids. The staff throughout is friendly and attentive. The food inside the waterpark is surprisingly tasty. I'd describe the overall vibe as "run by accountants focused on cutting costs, and who are distrustful of their excellent staff" Here are a few observations from a recent visit. - overall run-down and in need of repairs throughout. - self-serve kiosks EVERYWHERE, - staff made to bring their own supplies, and to bring them in clear plastic bags for fear of them stealing. - all food & beverage charges include mandatory gratuity PLUS mandatory service-charge PLUS suggested tip, all on top of exorbitantly high prices. - a draconian towel policy based on guests checking out and returning towels like books at a library, staffed by a single person at a single location, for the entire resort. See photo. I worry that this new management direction marks the beginning of an epic downhill slide into mediocrity, and even failure.

Yelp
UPDATE: Kalahari did call me and offer me a free upgrade to use in the next year. They were very kind and this made the experience much more tolerable. Thank you Kalahari for your efforts in rectifying this, we will continue being customers of yours. Normally, I'd be giving a great review. But this year our stay was not good because we always stay over the 4th. Unfortunately, the 4th was rained out so they rescheduled for the 5th. Totally fine! This is our 4th year coming over the 4th of July. The fireworks are always 20-25 minutes and AMAZING. The fireworks this year were 10 minutes! TEN! I recorded the whole show. It started at 9:53 and ended at 10:03. My kids were so disappointed, they turned around and said "that's it?". We paid over $2000 for our family of 7 to enjoy what's usually an amazing 4th. I'm SO disappointed, and we are definitely switching it up next year. Additionally, housekeeping has NEVER come to our suite to refresh towels and toiletry! Even though I receive text that they would.

M'Lagens M.

Yelp
It's been a few years since we've been at the Kalahari waterpark. There have definitely been some changes in the facility, which are highly welcomed! The waterpark is nicely set up, the new entrance how you get in the waterpark was fantastic, the gift shops are great, the restaurants are delicious, and the facility was clean. There is a new 75,000 sqft expansion coming fall of 2026, we look forward to visiting the new area as well!

Yelp
The amenities that this resort has to offer are great. There's bowling, bars, large arcade. The food is decent but overpriced.
google avatar

Yelp
I never had any issues with this resort. Service was great. Sometimes if it's really dead, they'll upgrade you. The upgrade was nice. There were two separate areas for showering in the room. There is an indoor theme park that is perfect for those cold winters when you just don't want to go anywhere. They have one indoor waterpark and one outdoor waterpark. I personally like the thrill of going on the screaming hyena. You get that adrenaline of hearing the countdown before the door underneath you opens. Plenty of rides for everyone or if you just want to chill in the lazy river or the indoor whirlpool spas. I found this one less crowded than the Wilderness. Food is pretty decent. Housekeepers were great.

Yelp
We took 3 young kids for an overnight stay at the resort. While we had a lot of fun, there is a huge cost that comes with it. The overnight stay for the room (5 of us shared one room) and water park access was nearly $400. This did not include the cost of food outside of the park, which was another $200 even though we looked for the best options and only had one meal. This is cost prohibitive for many families but going just for the day would cost just as much and bring even more logistics with it. Check-in was easy (on a kiosk) but still time-consuming. Our room was nice and appeared clean. The stash of treats and drinks on top of the mini-fridge is tempting to the kids and we made sure not to touch any of them. $$ The AC in the room was LOUD! And the temp control makes no sense but we slept and made due. A TV, microwave, safe (in a lower drawer), iron, coffee and maker and hair dryer were helpful. I must have gotten 20 emails and texts starting the minute I booked our stay. And during the stay I was bombarded with upcost options, info and general info. It was so over the top and I didn't see many of them because I wanted to just play and not keep looking at my phone. Apparently I missed some memos. The constant barrage of communication is overwhelming and not truly helpful. Every step costs something. And cash has no place here at all, so take a card or two. Starbucks in the hotel does not take Starbucks cards or the app, nor cash. A small locker costs $15 and be sure to bring your own towels or risk someone taking yours and costing you a replacement fee. Grabbing a single burger and slice of pizza was $30 in the park. Take lots of snacks to save on food. Put your items on a table and keep it for the day. It helps when you need a break. The waterpark is fun for the kids so no complaints on that. It is easy to lose little ones (or anyone!) so set a meeting area (chair/table) and do your best. The foam party at 2:00 was cute. Be aware of the height requirements because the staff didn't seem particularly concerned when we saw very small kids ride on some of the bigger rides. Be smart. Little kids (under 42") and anyone who is not water-comfortable should wear a lifejacket. The wave pool can be very crowded and I did help a few kids get their heads above water when they were struggling. The lifeguards try hard but it is not easy to see everyone. Lifejackets are available in the park so just grab one. (This is one of the only free offerings.) All in all, it was a fun visit. Luckily I could afford it but I know this is a huge expense and I wish it was easier for lower-income families to enjoy the fun too. Maybe the resorts could look into ways to help some have fun too. I am not adding photos because my grandkids are in them all. But look online and see the atmosphere. It is incredible. Having said all of this, I know we will return in the coming years. Just be prepared to spend even more than you planned because you can't avoid it once you arrive.

Yelp
Absolutely insane bro everything in the resort is remarkable BUT... EVERY SINGLE AREA IN THE WHOLE RESORT INSIDE HAS TERRIBLE AIR, I will wake up in the morning and have a dry throat EVERY time I go here and when I leave my throat is fine, so either fix your air or find yourself a lawsuit 2 stars

Yelp
We came to Kalahari resorts to celebrate my son's birthday. He had a great time experiencing his first water slides, but the stay was a bit lack luster for how much we paid. They were doing construction right by the check in desk which made the check in process a bit stressful given that it was the loudest sound I ever heard (basically a jackhammer in an enclosed, echoey space) I know construction is necessary, but I wasn't notified about this until a few hours before we arrived. Maybe the resort felt if they were up front about the construction, people would book elsewhere. Well, aside from that, they had a woman at the front desk with an attitude so dry I needed a drink of water after interacting with her. Maybe she was just over having to yell over the obnoxious construction sounds all day. Not sure, but not the best way to be introduced to a place. We enjoyed the water park for a few hours before our room was ready (which they never notified me about like they said they would) we had to go back to the front desk to check. The room was clean & kept up well. Furniture and carpet is looking a bit old. We enjoyed the water park throughout the stay. We didn't get passes for the rides at Tom Foolery's because my son is only 3, and I'm glad we didn't because it didn't seem like there were many to enjoy. We played in the arcade one night and several different machines ate our game credits and didn't even work, this seems to be a common issue because the people at the front desk were unaffected by this information. They did give us back the credits with no issue. However, just like front desk girl, none of the employees seemed remotely happy to be there. Maybe the vibes were off due to it being off season and very slow. But I don't feel the experience was worth returning for the amount spent. Maybe if we're ever back in Wisconsin Dells we will just get a day pass for the water park, but that's pretty much the only redeeming quality of the resort.

Yelp
We stayed at the Lake Delton Villas, which I reviewed separately. The waterparks were fun, the outdoor one being the better one. Two of the slides were really amazing. One issue was that six of the slides began on the same platform. This made the lines a bit chaotic. Much of the staff does not know English, so they struggled to keep things organized. In fact, most of the staff didn't talk at all. My kids (16&14) enjoyed the indoor park better than I did. There is an over 21 water bar and large hottub area, but it was typically filled with over inebriated parents. I was done after the first day. My kids enjoyed the second day fine. Overall, it was an ok experience; not great but not bad.

Yelp
I rented a cabin for 10 adults and 5 children and it's not cheap, I had to wait for my room until 5pm because it wasn't ready but they did tell me if I wanted to pay 365 dollars to get in my room At 1pm!!!!

Yelp
really appreciate the Hotel reached out and we reached an accommodation Still think it is outrageous that they had so many bussed in kids but at least they took my concerns seriously

Yelp
WOW! this place is amazing, great lobby, great staff, my band broke and the staff hooked me up right away! food is good to and I like the updates they did this year, Tom foolereys 10/10, I will say though I don't think it's the largest indoor water park in the USA. Overall great place vibes amazing. Recommended

Yelp
We were on the 4th floor at the Sands area across the street. Love the kitchen area and spacious living quarters! CLEAN A+ Check in, I needed special assistance (checked in Thurs 08/03/23 at 1:00PM and was assisted by the tallest gentleman working that day at check in) (hopefully management/corporate can narrow down who that was. I regret I did not get his name). He personified customer service! Waterpark and arcade were great One star deducted bc THERE IS NO SERVICE WHATSOEVER. On my kids' tablets nor my phone (we used wifi AND I tried regular on my phone) If I had $1 for everytime I turned off then on the Wifi, I could have paid for what I spent at the arcade! I LITERALLY found a spot my eldest made fun of me saying "Mama. Are you in time out?" where I got "the best" service. On the floor by the partition separating the bedroom to living room. YES, ON THE FLOOR. 1, AT TIMES I CELEBRATED getting 2 bars of the wifi.

Yelp
I love this place. I would go back again and again and again. One of the best Indoor Waterpark I have been to. We stayed at the Sands building. Its a bit of a walk to the waterpark further if you want to go to Tom Foolery. Waterpark access is included with your room. I remember during summer Safari tickets are included as well. You can also opt to have the Tom Foolery included or you can just go there to buy a day pass or buy credits. Overall, this is a must try place for family and friends.

Yelp
This is a place for children. Very minimal indoor water slides, and the water was absolutely filthy. I witnessed an employee fish poop out of a hot tub and place it into a biohazard bag, and then immediately slow families back into the water as if nothing happened not even 10 minutes later. I also saw poop inside the sink in the women's bathroom.

Joon P.

Yelp
The only good thing about this facility is the waterpark itself. If I had a do over, I would stay somewhere else and pay a daily pass for the waterpark. It would've saved me and my family from a huge headache. First of all, my family and I reserved a room that gave us dine-in and arcade credit. However, because they made us check in through a kiosk, I didn't know anything as to where this was, and I assumed it was all in our wristbands. However, that was not the case. We had to go to the hotel front desk and receive physical game cards, but we didn't know that until we got to the arcade itself, which meant we had to traverse all the way to the desk and back.  Second, water was shut off in my room both at the sink and shower, which is pretty ironic considering this is a water park.  Front office personnel told me that there was a construction going on a floor above us.  Granted, they did turn the water back on in 30min time.  Third, this place is just way overpriced for the services rendered.  I paid $600+ for a double bed room and they don't even hold luggage for you before check-in or after check-out, a service they used to provide in the past.  Again, I would not recommend this place to my friend and I would stay not here again. Update : Next morning, the bathroom started to leak from the ceiling; therefore, we couldn't use the bathroom in the morning. The entire trip was a complete mess so we asked for a refund. I talked to a number of people in the management (Hector the manager and Alisha, Hector's manager) for the monetary compensation and Alisha assured to give me a call on 9/1 after doing her own due diligence of the matter.  This never happened. I left her numerous messages and voicemails and I am pretty sure that she is avoiding me now.  Never dealt with this type of customer service before and again, i would not recommend this place to my friend or family.

Yelp
Had to leave a 5 start review for our stay here last year. This year we tried the great wolf lodge and was severely disappointed by the rides and the overall experience. Kalahri won hands down and we will return next year.

Kim S.

Yelp
Clean, comfortable rooms, easy check in process, easy to navigate the large resort. Conference center was nice and food was great. Waterparks were nice. Towel process with our wristbands worked well. Much easier than keeping track of towels or cards, like other resorts.
google avatar

Jillian R.

Yelp
Great stay. Rooms were basic with some wear and tear, but not too bad. If you have a balcony know that it's either facing the parking lot or the water park. Nice that they have so many amenities within the resort and you don't have to leave.
google avatar

June F.

Yelp
It was our first time at Kalahari and we had a great time! Weather is hard to predict so this was a good idea that we chose this location. This place has indoor and outdoor pool. Luckily we got to experience both. This resort have so many fun water rides. Tom Foolery adventure is arcade and fun rides mixed place. It was a good that we purchased the adventure package when we booked our stay. We hung out there every night after dinner. Be careful though you can end up spending extra money on arcade games because those are not included in the Tom foolery adventure package. Also this resort has some restaurants inside the facility all connected. It was convenient to just stay inside and was able to walk over to eat in between activities. Service was good overall except room wasn't cleaned until 5pm. That's when we got back from the water park before dinner so we only had our towels changed.

Yelp
I can't say anything that hasn't already been said about this wonderful resort. Great staff, awesome accommodations, and so much to do. We swam so much. The outside and inside water parks were great. Walmart, Walgreens, and other stores close by. We will be returning shortly, we have so much more to explore! Now.. for what you really want to know.. YES, they have Starbucks, yes they have room safes, and yes, they have a gym, one on each floor.

Craig R.

Yelp
Third time staying here. It's always a great time but each visit there are a few things that bring it down to a 4 star. The indoor waterpark is 5 star with tons to do for all ages. You can add Tom Foolerys for the week for very cheap and there is a lot to do there too. Variety of food options on site, but they are overpriced and none are very good, so we get the room with the full kitchen and cook our meals. Kitchen suites are very nice and affordable. Checkin was quick and easy and they texted us when the room was ready. Three big cons: 1. Every visit here we have had to go to the desk multiple times for issues with our wristbands not working. Things are very spread out at this huge resort. We walked from the sands building to Tom Foolery's and then our wristbands didn't work. They told us to go to the tom foolery's desk, but no workers were there, so we waited 5 minutes then walked all the way back to the main lobby desk. The worker there gave us new wristbands, but then by the time we went all the way back to Tom Foolery's we had wasted probably 30-40 min and had walked over a mile, so this isn't a minor inconvenience. A good resort would say sorry for the inconvenience or here's $5 of arcade credit, but nothing here. 2. Housekeeping: We stayed 4 nights and they only came once. We ran out of toilet paper, had to keep using dirty towels, etc. We texted the desk when we needed something and got it, but they said housekeeping would come daily to at least empty trash and change out towels and they did not. On the day they did come, we were at the water park and returned and our room was propped open with the slider latch lock. Nobody was around. Housekeeping had left it open for perhaps hours and only just pure luck that nothing got stolen. 3. This place has the most miserable staff I've ever seen. My 11 year old asked at one point why everyone that works here hates their life. Everywhere you go, they look half asleep and look up and see you, slowly open the gate/scan the wristband, etc., and then immediately lower their head and sink back into their deep depression. Not sure what is causing this, but you feel like you don't want to even ask questions or anything as you feel bad for the workers. After writing this, I feel like 4 stars is maybe too generous. However, overall we always have a great trip and keep coming back so it is still a good experience. It was way less crowded this year than in the past so maybe some of these cons are starting to keep people from coming back. Hopefully they can turn things around and become what they have potential to be.

Yelp
I've stayed at kalahari several times as it's the Nationals venue for Starpower that my daughter has been participating in. It's nice but worn down, I don't believe they have much time between guests. The room is ok - bed sheets are clean, but have doubts in the cleanliness of the rest of the room and this time round they didn't even fill the body soap in the shower (completely empty very hard to miss). The food venues are average but I do enjoy their breakfast buffet. They had really nice fireworks Jul 4th.

Yelp
First time at Kalahari for a conference and had a great experience. Check in and check out was fast and easy. Check out was completely contactless and done over text. The staff at the Kalahari were great and so hospitable. The hotel room was nice, spacious, and comfortable. Loved the African theme decor. The food offered at the conference was really good. Will be back with family and friends to explore the resorts further.

Yelp
I visited Kalahari on a Sunday/Monday in March. The park had a lot of patrons and seemed understaffed. This affected every experience from the water park, to getting ice cream. For the price the experience left me expecting more. Double cut was still fantastic, but Kalahari needs to make some hires.

Yelp
Got a decent deal for the winter. Good indoor waterpark and set up! Our room was a double queen balcony and very clean except for a brown streak on the tub. All the restaurants inside are ridiculously expensive so we chose to eat from outside the resort. Our room was about a 5-6 min walk from the main building. The Tom Foolery was a fun experience for the kids as well as me and my husband. I would say that on several occasions, I've heard employees talking about how they hate working there. This made me wonder what kind of working conditions these employees have since they look like international students.

Yelp
DO NOT BUY THE DAY PASSES Do not buy the day passes! It does not include towels! Prices vary for day passes depending on demand but if you are charging at least $50 per person, the least you could do as a waterpark is to give out at least 1 free towel per customer! Nope. The "towel staff" guard the towel supply like the towels are the gold in Fort Knox! (I emailed customer service to suggest they at least provide towels. No reply.) DIRTY We stayed in the waterpark for two hrs. I did not see anyone cleaning. Lots of tables had food, drinks, and empty cups. It stayed there the whole two hrs we were there. Bathrooms and changing rooms were dirty also. BORED/INDIFFERENT STAFF We went to the ice cream shop, gift shop, coffee shop, and cafeteria. No greetings, no smiles, no eye contact. I understand a lot of places are understaffed but this is the hospitality industry. The least customers should get is a hello. THE ONLY GOOD THING: BAR TENDERS WERE FRIENDLY Maybe because of tips or maybe because at some point, we all were staring at the TV by the bars watching the soccer game, but those bar tenders were the only nice part of Kalahari. BOTTOMLINE: 1) Will not come back. 2) Go to Great Wolf Lodge for more friendly staff and more kid-friendly service. They give free towels for day pass people, too! 3) Go to Wild West Waterpark for cleaner waterparks. 4) Go to newly constructed Ramada for clean hotels.

Yelp
My first time being in a water park in North America and I came to Kalahari to check this out. It is one of the coolest things I have ever seen and I would say this is an awesome place to bring the little ones and have an awesome time! My friend's kid who is 7 years old and was on Spring Break really wanted to come here and has been to this park once prior. He had so much fun and literally everything is in this park. From food, the hotel rooms, dessert, drinks you name it and you can find it somewhere inside. We stayed at the hotel rooms and with that comes your wristbands for the indoor pool adventure. Which has plenty of slides, activities and if you just want to chill they do have jacuzzis all around the area. It doesn't matter what age you are you will have loads of fun! I'm glad I decided to try something new and be a little adventurous.

Yelp
I had fun on my most recent trip to the Kalahari Resort. As a guest at the hotel I received a wrist band that accesses the water parks, arcade rides and room key. A lot of the retail businesses close early, like 8 or 9 pm but the quik-trip is 24 hours and nearby. The only thing I would mention is that the rooms look identical to when I visited 10+ years ago.

Yelp
Pros: -Friendly, helpful staff -Nice steakhouse attached to hotel - so many options go things to do for all ages - Nice play area for little ones in the water park - Free science museum tickets included (I highly recommend you take advantage of this) - So many slides to choose from. - Go carts were fun and only $6 each. - Big locker rooms with lots of showers and bathrooms - Towels available at water park so you dont need to bring your own - Complimentary coffee in the room (though I didn't care for it) - Comfy beds - Nice size rooms - Big, soft towels in room - Kids had lots of fun!! Cons: - We went over spring break at it was crowded. I wish they had a cutoff of the people they allow in! - Wave pool was packed. Lines were long and it was chilly waiting for slides - Fast food is pricey and not that great - the hotel rooms are Dated - High price for cabanas - $700!!!! - Some slides were closed until 12pm and yet the place was packed and the were long lines for the other slides - Wood looks warped near slides. I'm nervous about the structural integrity -Hard to find a double tube - some were flat - Hard to find a table - Tom foolery arcade area got really crowded too. Waited a long time to do go karts. - Safari snacks is very disorganized. You don't know where to order or how the line works. I got charged twice for something. There's no direct phone number on your invoice. I had to call the 800 number and go through the entire system to find someone to talk to. I had to go through this routine twice to get my bill corrected. They did fix it. Tips: - Wear water shoes!!! - Bring food from home. There is a fridge and microwave in every room. Bring paper plates and plastic silverware. Bread, peanut butter, hot dogs and buns. Premixed salad! Nuts, crackers, meat sticks, cheese sticks! Granola bars. Water bottles. - Macs is a fast food place just outside the hotel - I recommend it! - Visit the Tommy Bartlett science museum - complimentary tickets at the front desk - Two days is enough time. We stayed two nights and my kids were tired of the water park by the third day. Overall, kids had fun so I'm glad we checked it off the bucket list.

Yelp
I came with my family and I had horrible service . I repeated myself to them 3 times to check that I get everything im paying for and everytime i did they said yes . But when I come to the water park they tell me that I didn't get that kind of package even though I payed extra . this is just ridiculousness and I am very un-satisfied .

Yelp
Came to maybe go bowling, took 45 minutes to find parking. Before you add anything else to the property, PARKING needs to be a priority. Please!

Yelp
I'm not even going to lie this place is amazing great wolf lodge can not compare the only reason why I am saying that is because I went to Wisconsin dells 3 times aswell as great wolf lodge 3 times and everything is different in a good way! Comfortable beds, kind staff, and so much more and even though I'm a more of a stay at home person I love this place very much! Please keep it up

Yelp
Where do I start? When my husband made reservations months ago, he asked to be on same floor with daughters family. We were here for grand children. We don't swim. We plan once or twice a year for family get togethers with our daughters and their families. They wanted to come here. First of all, the 1/2 hour my husband spent on phone to secure the same floor was wasted time since he had to talk to a manager to make that happen on check in. Second, the long hairs on the shower walls was a great indicator of lack of cleaning. The spider I found in my hand bag I left sitting on the floor for the night was also an unexpected bonus. The topper for the room was the crushed cookie adhered to the brown blanket on the bed. The women's locker room was being cleaned and could have used a good sweeping prior to the mopping. The clumps of toilet paper and hair in the puddles of water on the floor was disgusting and a safety issue. No sign posted for wet floors. Let's talk about your food. I will be addressing the Mirage cafe and KuKu's chicken. The cost is astronomical! Lunch for 6 adults and two kids was $180.00 for fast food. The food would have had no taste at all if it wasn't for all the salt on it. It was inedible. A plastic cup with an elephant head lid was sixteen dollars. What's wrong with our economy? Last but not least, let's discuss your menu. You advertise a slice of pizza, side and drink. Speciality pizza was not available, no salad choice. You haven't had salad for two weeks nor do you offer speciality pizza per your employee. It is best not to advertise something you don't have. Deception is not appreciated. Lucky us we still have one more day here. I wonder what surprises await us tomorrow.

Yelp
Kalahari has lost its innovative side, dollar value and customer service for charging $600-$800 per night, Every year we have come here we are always saying can't wait to come back, but this year not the case. Honestly feel that this locations needs a good visit from ownership team. Current management team just doesn't see these issues as they work in them everyday. Sometimes it takes a visit or mentoring to get people to see things differently. Checkin: This process needs a complete overhaul. We saw tons of comments/ complaints and I could see why. Poor customer service, not very friendly and just rush to get you checked in. Rooms: The rooms are definitely starting to show their age and definitely need some updating. Food: The quality has gone down hill and is very basic at best. In the past we use to love everything, this trip we found ourself going offsite to get food. The fast food near the pool is horrible. Save your money. Water Park: This is where we are most disappointed. The water park is starting to run down. Paint flaking off, wood on the water slides looking ruff, but most disappointing is the lack of cleaning. The dust all over the park is very noticeable. We saw it last year, said they will clean it, but year later looks the same.

Yelp
Came to Kalahari Resorts at the Dells for a hockey tournament. The room was huge and very nice. It is a little costly, but the resort contains just about everything you need. The resort is nicely decorated and keep clean. We didn't go to the water park, but the hockey kids said it was great. The water park was very busy.

Yelp
so many memories here. My grandmother used to work for a company that took part in a convention here every winter. And every winter, my family of six would pack for a weekend, hop in our van, and drive all the way out here just to be a part of it. We spent our days playing in the water parks (WATER. ROLLERCOASTERS?! AMAZING.,) eating good food, decorating cookies & pottery, and exploring the hotel. The days I spent with my family here were some of the most joyful, carefree days of my life thus far, and every family should be able to enjoy their vacation time together like that. also, an outdoor hot-tub in the middle of a Wisconsin winter is AMAZING. ps: go find the monkey statues. we found them one year & the kids took pictures with them every single year after that. (I could only find two years of pictures, but there's about 6 more years of these things somewhere.)

Yelp
To start off Khalahari is an African themed resort and unlike Wilderness, Kalahari is a much better quality resort in my personal opinion. The check in was smooth and our room was clean. The walk for us wasn't to far from the water park, and the water park was very good. It had a wave pool, lazy river, hot tub, slides, and one water coaster. Also the food at Kalahari is much better then a place like Wilderness. I didn't go to the adventure park for a couple years, but from what I remember it was decent. Overall Khalahari is a great resort for family and friends to have a fun experience.

Yelp
Absolutely not worth the money! The Volcano Lounge food is AWFUL and staff say "we get complaints all the time", the temperature in this area is overwhelmingly hot. Walking into wave pool is so slippery and dangerous I almost fell three different times. Must mention wave pool is also not working! I'm beyond disappointed!!

Yelp
This resort needs more security, non-guests can walk in at any door and go anywhere. Pool security was awful, the employees were more interested in one another than making sure only guests were allowed in the pool. Cashless system is horrible, horrible! Every single thing you purchase asks for a "tip" before moving on. Maybe it's cashless because the employees can't figure out how to make change! Live and learn. I'd never go back!

Yelp
Good service for the most part. Here it is 11:35 PM in the evening and you can still hear the footsteps and jumping on the third floor above us. Management said they will call but no results in getting them to settle down. This has been going on for 2 nights. Frustrating Disappointing
