A two-night stay February 2025. The staff were great; helpful and courteous. The cabin was clean. The beds comfortable. The rates were reasonable. The weather was cooperative. A repeated scratching noise in the middle of the night. A mouse had got itself into the trash can and couldn't get out. Putting the recycle can on top of the trash can trapped the mouse, and putting the whole thing outside allowed sleep to resume. The staff offered a free breakfast as compensation. No idea what the mouse got as compensation. Staff came and removed everything and brought new trash and recycle cans. Disappointingly bad lighting in the cabin. It was impossible to read a book or see what was being done in the kitchen area. Cell phone flashlights had to be used to prepare food. Dish soap was provided, but nothing to scrub with. Odd. The shower was a puzzle. It took a while to determine that barely turning the shower on was when the hot water came out (as opposed to turning the knob as far as possible away from the "off" position), and it was very hot water but it came out as a mist, so by the time it hit a person's body it was lukewarm. The heater could not be turned off, and it made a racket all night. We were very disappointed to learn, after we checked in, that there was no access to the beach from the lodge property. In order to go get on a beach, a drive was necessary. We agreed that we will not return.

We stayed in the main lodge for one night. We arrived after dark in December and left before the light came out so we really didn't get to see the grounds very much. We were the only ones staying in the main lodge that night but others were staying in the cabins. Our room was nice It did not have a microwave or a mini fridge which is not too uncommon for national park lodges. Nor did it have a TV, but once again that's not too uncommon. We had to walk up a flight of stairs, no elevator available, to get to our room which was not a big deal. Being the only ones in the whole building it was extremely quiet. We stopped down in the dining area for dinner, I ordered the chicken breast and my travel partner ordered a mushroom dish. I really wasn't expecting much being was off season and how dead the place was, although there were other customers. However, they exceeded my expectations. My chicken was moist and well seasoned along with the vegetables. The service was fantastic. We left happy in well-fed to return to our room. For beverages I had a soda while my travel partner had a barry cocktail of some sort, They had some very strong pours there. My travel partner thought it was a little too strong for them. All in all we had a great experience and would stay again.

Highlights: Fireplace in lobby!! We had to request a fire but the staff gladly set one up and tended it. Very cozy and nice to be around people after hiking in the woods. Oceanview from bed! (We reserved a Lodge queen Oceanview room) When I was a kid my family stayed in a (now-defunct?) bluff cabin and I always remembered the in-bed ocean view… the view from the lodge, while not quite the same, was pretty darn nice! Wild mushroom side ($5) with dinner - simple and good. Staff were really friendly to us, recommended good hikes. the place generally had a nice down-to-earth vibe. Other notes: room was a simple clean hotel room (view was a major plus). Crab Mac and cheese was good as an entree. The closer beach walk was closed as if 1/22/25 - there’s another a few minutes walk away.

We spent two nights here in mid September on a circuit around the national park. It was a great ending to a week of hiking to enjoy the beaches. |We stayed in a cabin on the bluff, one of the few left. It was rustic but quite comfortable with a large main area, kitchen area, small bathroom and a separate bedroom. The exterior had a carport, patio and a picnic table and Adirondackville chairs on the lawn. |We were steps from beach access. We were also close to the lodge where we had a nice dinner one evening. The mercantile on site had a decent selection of snacks and drinks, coffee drinks and fabulous soft serve ice cream. |We were just minutes by car away from Ruby beach and fourth beach with the amazing tide pools. We walked up a trail from the lodge one afternoon to beach access from the campground to see the tree of life, walking back on the soft sand. |A very nice stay. Very quiet at night.

We stayed in a cabin for 1 night. Loved how quiet, clean and comfortable our stay was. The cabin was well equipped with everything we needed- even a good sized mini frig. |The beach was just a few steps away so we were able to easily explore the area. Ruby Beach was a 5 min drive away and Forks was another 40 min or so. |If I ever return to this area, I would definitely stay here again. Beautiful setting.

We reserved a lodge room w/ Wi-Fi, received a cabin w/out Wi-Fi. We came because we wanted walkable beach access--we were not warned either on the website nor at check-in that the access was washed out and nearest access was 5 miles away. The bathroom was awkward to navigate (would have been impossible for a larger person or anyone with mobility issues). The mattresses were old inner-springs.||We ate at the restaurant: the beer and appetizer was good, the Caesar salad was not worth the $14 for a plate of over-dressed old lettuce.||The deal-breaker was waking up at 4am to the sound of MICE and fresh mouse poop/pee all over the kitchenette and bathroom sinks. We immediately packed and checked out--the desk staff didn't seem surprised by the mice but refunded us $50.|Dinner was had resulted in diarrhea. ||We reserved 2 nights but left 6am after the 1st night.|Will NOT be coming back.

We had our wedding here, and it was beautiful. Our cabin had ocean views that were breathtaking, and the rooms were rustic and clean. There were some difficulties communicating with the front desk, but that was quickly handled. Food at the restaurant was delicious as well. I highly recommend staying here! The bluff cabins or the Kalaloch Suite are perfect for a romantic getaway.

We had a wonderful experience at Kalaloch lodge. Helpful staff. Walk out of your cabin and down some steps to a gorgeous beach! The lodge had a restaurant with great food and service. Beautiful view over the river. There was a little store next to it that was nice for grabbing snacks or food on the go. We loved the cabins! We celebrated my daughter's birthday while we were there. It worked out great to have a couch, kitchenette, and dining table. Mt husbands favorite part was definitely the wood stove. It was chilly while we visited, so to be able to go back to our cabin and start a fire was so cozy.
