Kalapiti Luxury Suites exceeded all expectations during our stay! The communication with the staff was prompt and friendly, making us feel welcomed from the start. Each suite features a private jacuzzi, while the common areas are filled with unique amenities like a sauna, bubble bath, and stunning Gaudi-inspired designs that showcase attention to detail in every corner. The lush tropical garden provided a serene escape, and the large pool with a fun toboggan was a hit with everyone. This hidden gem truly offers a luxurious and private experience that we can't wait to revisit!

We rented the house to celebrate my birthday and everything went too perfect. The gardens of the property are beautiful. The amount of fruit that we collected with my son from the garden was a beautiful experience, also the tranquility of the place was perfect, the animals and the variety of birds that we could see made our stay a spectacle. The details of every corner of the property itself, the house and the garden made our stay something wonderful, totally recommendable, and we will clearly be back next year.

We stumbled upon Kalapiti after a couple days in Santa Teresa. The house is a Moroccan inspired beauty with relaxing serene corners both inside and out. Everywhere you look is beautiful tropical lush trees and plants. The house is meticulously maintained and cleaned daily. I can’t recommend this place enough—great for couples, group of friends or families (the house is divided into an upstairs and downstairs that can be reserved together or separately). Miguel is a very welcoming host who is available to give advice, but gives you as much privacy as you could want. Fresh baked goodies by Miguel were left for us every morning. Short drive to Montezuma with gorgeous trails and beaches with lots of restaurant choices. This place is so much better than any other lodging we found in Costa Rica—charming, luxurious, private and reasonably priced!

Where to begin. Kalapiti is just awesome. Miguel and Piti do everything to make you truly feel that you are on a special vacation.||||We had the opportunity to stay a Kalapiti for a few days as we drove across Costa Rica. It was a unanimous decision of the whole family that Kalapiti was the best place we stayed (and several were large 5 star resorts).||||Breakfast (fresh made pastries, bread, locally grown fruits, home made yogurt and jams) was spectacular. We also had the opportunity to do the chef prepared dinner one night and it did not disappoint. The seafood Paella is just amazing.||||Rooms were large and well appointed. Architecture of Kalapiti is just awesome.||||We will be back. Thanks again Miguel and Piti.

Absolutely phenomenal, villas were beautiful and taken care of, fresh fruit was supplied that was delicious, Miguel took very good care of me and my two friends, got us rides to and from the villas, and even helped my good friend get the taxi driver to come back when he had left his wallet in the car. Once again absolutely phenomenal, scenery is breathtaking and the hospitality was uncanny, I would recommend this travel destination to anyone looking to stay in Costa Rica, can guarantee you will not be disappointed. I have full intention to come back and spend more time here, it’s just a matter of when. 10/10

There really aren’t enough words to describe the magic that is Kalapiti and the whole Montezuma area in general. And Miguel, who I literally feel is like a family member at this point! He truly is the most amazing host. From the minute I booked he was beyond helpful leading up to the trip answering any and all questions. We ended up going with Miguel’s friend’s local rental car company instead of Budget rental and it was the BEST decision. The car was PERFECT and the owner - Harry Mata - had a driver pick us up at the Tambor airstrip in the car and drive us to Kalapiti since we took a red eye with our kids and were exhausted. Easy peasy drop off 10 days later, great responsive service and more affordable then any of the American companies which are notorious for gouging tourists on prices in this area. You must use Harry if you are renting a car. Anyway we arrived to Miguel’s homemade pizza for lunch (he even had a chilled bottle of white wine waiting for me) while the kids swam - slide was a HUGE hit. The grounds are amazing, the kids went for nature walks everyday looking at monkeys, agoutis, iguanas, birds, etc. And we loved the beach/town of Montezuma which is a short drive. Great restaurants there (including Miguel’s). Yes the roads are bumpy but maybe it was because of the car we had — honestly was not a big deal to us at all. We had Miguel/Piti cook for us one night and the seafood paella is to DIE FOR. Miguel also booked Tortuga Island and canopy/waterfall/ziplining tour for us - both fantastic. The kids were so sad to leave and so were we. I honestly think they believe Miguel is like a cousin or an uncle or something! Don’t think about this - just go go go. Just not during the month of February because that’s when we’re going again and I don’t want competition for rooms!!!

This place is amazing! The pool has a water slide that our kids played on for hours while my wife and I watched from the second story hot tub. We woke up every morning to breakfast ingredients, several monkey's and about (literally) two-hundred fresh flowers. The bathroom is open air, which was so cool! The host, Miguel, lives on the other side of the 10 acre property. Close enough if you need anything but far enough to not be able to see the villa. My wife caught a cough from our kids, which unfortunately turned into pneumonia. Miguel directed us to the nearest doctor in perfect English and followed up several times to see if she was OK or if we needed anything. The room was cleaned daily like a hotel, even though it was more like renting a house. The architecture is very Gaudi-esque, which is so unique and cool. Stay here, you won't be sorry.

We have been in Kalapiti for 4 days ; great experience!!||Miguel, the host is a friendly catalan guy who have spent the last 30 yrs in Costa Rica||The resort is beatiful just two appartaments ( Sole and Luna) in Gaudi’ s style with a nice swimming pool! ||There is a common area with a great kitchen, bbq and a long wooden table where you can eat sorrounded by the forest.||||Every morning Miguel brings to you fresh bread and croissants and in the fridge fresh fruits home made marmalade and yougurt!!!||||The location is perfect for reaching Montezuma (4 km) and Santa Teresa (12 km) and there are some good restaurants for a dinner||||Definitely a place where we would like to come back!
