Kalatua Beach Restaurant

Hole in the wall, holy grail! We were a group of 6 that charted a catamaran for the day via PYC, and our captain highly recommended having lunch at Kalatua. After anchoring the boat, we tendered to the beach and walked right up, sandy feet and all. From the moment we arrived, the service was so friendly and welcoming with the staff offering recommendations and chatting with us as if we were locals. And then there's the food—WOW! Absolutely drool-worthy. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It was one of those meals that makes you want to come back every day to try something else. If you take the plunge, we loved the salmon burger, homemade pita with lamb/ angus steak, and the ribeye. Can't recommend this place enough.

We love to visit Kalatua on the beautiful mullet bay when we vacation in St Martin. The beach chairs are so comfortable and the food is excellent. The coco bongos are our favourite drink by far. The burrata and Kalatua platter were delicious.

MUST VISIT! To have a good food with the best view? A piece of heaven on Earth I must say! Had a table reservation with Kalatua Beach, Ms. Julie was really very kind and hospitable - very patient with the sudden changes yet guests had a lovely lunch. The food, the staffs and the venue itself - PERFECT! I highly recommend Kalatua Beach to add to your stops when going to St. Marten Definitely worth adding to your list!

Let me start by saying that the grass is greener on the other side. We were staying on Saint Maarten steps from the Mullet beach. We drove all over the island to find the best beach and the best beach club, but the best was in front of our eyes. Beautiful sandy beach with jewel Kalatua. Fantastic food and great service. Even at 32C, you have a breeze and a nice feel.

This was my favorite attraction of the entire trip. Food is pricey. However, it is delicious. Shrimp caesar salad is amazing! The beach chairs were decent/comfy. Atmosphere and decor was very Mykonos, Greece. A must see for tourists.

Our captain took us here for lunch while on our private boat excursion and it was such a treat! The cocktails are fantastic and that was hands down the best salmon burger I have ever had. The views? Unmatched. Friendly staff too! We had a member of our party who needed insulin and while we weren't even staying on the resort, a team member offered to shuttle him in a golf cart to and from the pharmacy. Not many places do that.

We’ve visited Kalatua several times now both as a couple and in friend groups. Reservations are a must during peak season! Be sure to make separate reservations for beach chairs and lunch as they are not combined. Servers are friendly and attentive …just heads up that it is French so expect European style service. Food and drinks are great, very well done. Having a DJ is nice as well; the music is lively but not too much. We enjoy parking at the casino in Cupecoy and taking the golf cart to the beach/restaurant! (Be sure to tip the cart driver!)
