Fantastic neighbourhood Korean food, served family style. Make sure to get the sticky chicken, the pancake, the beef noods!

Tassie is a delight

We both had chicken bibimbap and Korean beer and shared the pa jeon (Korean pancake) - all really tasty, pancake could've been thinner/crispier but bibimbap was perfect (added the sauce after the photo). Service was good. I'll definitely be back

Excellent Korean place on Elizabeth Street, consistently serving up great food. My first stop whenever I’m in Hobart. Not a huge place, so it’s often best to make a reservation.

Delicious tasting Korean food and friendly service. I just would’ve loved it if there were a couple side dishes that came with the dish as I am used to that back home. I ordered the Duk Bokki. It had an amazing balance of flavour and spiciness. I didn’t care too much for the egg on top though.

Their Kimchi Fried Rice served in iron pan is a bonus as it add a slight smokiness enhancing the flavour of the fried rice. Their Kimchi is well fermented and was not spicy at all. Their Beef Bulgogi is good. Their thinly sliced beef was well marinated. Topped up with lettuce leaves and a dollop of ssamjang elevated the taste. Their Korean Fried Chicken comes with crispy, crunchy coating and flavourful sauces. Topped up with the radish therein before started another piece of chicken will refresh your tastebud. Overall having a good dining experience there. The serving was quick as well. Their food portion is generous too.

First of all, I did not expect it to be this busy! Me and my partner did a walk-in and were asked to wait half an hour. It was very busy and there were 2 workers serving, so it was understandable why we were told to wait outside in the cold for a bit before they came to tell us how long we needed to wait. The food, on the other hand, was perfect for a cold winter night. We ordered the stew with rice, seafood pancake, chicken & the special chicken katsu(?). The chicken katsu (?) was a very thin piece of chicken covered with a lot of bread to make it crispy. Barely tasted like chicken, which was not that good. The stew was great, very flavourful, and suited the rice great. There were plenty of clams, tofu, and meat in the stew. It was very filling. The pancakes were crispy and very delicious, too, while the chicken were half good and half mediocre. The original chicken was very good while the very spicy just tasted like red pepper paste. Overall, it was delicious food, but some were not up to par. Would definitely go again to enjoy the stew on a cold night and would definitely book beforehand.

The food was okay, nothing special—but what really ruined the visit was the atmosphere. The Korean lady working there gave off a really unfriendly vibe that made the whole experience uncomfortable. It felt like we weren’t welcome at all. I came in expecting a warm, enjoyable meal but left feeling uneasy. The energy of a place matters just as much as the food, and unfortunately, the vibe here was way off. Just a heads-up for others considering this spot.

Fantastic delicious food! Great service too. The Kimchi fried rice was delicious as well as the spicy beef. Even the lettuce was so fresh crunchy and sweet.

Yelp
This is my second time ordering takeaway through Iner Eats from Kalbi. They are fast and efficient. The food is well packaged and delicious. I highly recommend the boneless fired chicken. I've had the honey soy, but the sweet and spicy is my favorite.
