Food was good and prices were in line with those in Chania city centre, but the service was a bit lacking. In most Greek restaurants, it’s customary to be offered a small treat after the meal, such as a shot of raki or a sweet bite. Unfortunately, nobody bothered to bring us anything, even though we spent over €130 on our meal. Don’t get me wrong – I can easily pay for raki or dessert myself – but it’s a nice and very common gesture across Greece, and even much smaller, cheaper restaurants do it as a simple way of saying “thank you for dining with us.” That’s the reason for the 4-star rating.
