We stayed here in June 2022 and I have already left a review of our specific unit (not the best), so this review will be of the building/grounds specifically. The building is older, but kept up well. The pool is small and simple, but it was always very clean and our kids enjoyed being the only ones swimming on most days. In the summer there is a small beach, and it was perfect for our kids. We loved it! The chairs on the back lawn were perfect for watching the kids play in the beach, looking for sea turtles (we saw several), or just enjoying the sound of the ocean. The ocean view is beautiful! Landscaping around the building is beautiful too- tons of flowers, and the largest fiddle leaf fig I have ever seen. We have zero complaints about this condo building/grounds and would recommend!

Wow! Beautiful views, right on the ocean, with quick swimming access to a small sandy area. Very clean facility. Sea turtle highway right off the grassy seating area (don't get too close to them! Peep the 3rd pic of one right off the shore). Condos are far enough north of the more touristy area. When swimming, just be sure to wear water shoes so you don't step on an urchin :)

Air bnb a condo here. It’s perfect location. We saw whales, dolphins, and sea turtles from our porch. A great area for families with a beach just a 5 minute walk.

Great views of the ocean on the back. Depends on ur apartment or Airbnb. Good parking slots available too

Google
Great convenient location that is minutes from amazing beaches, shopping and. Beauitful hikes. No beach access from condo due to shoreline, but right on the water.

Google
Great condo location. No beach immediately available, but calm ocean behind a reef. Lots of sea Turtles right under our sea wall. Little lizards in the gardens, very cool. Beaches minute walk away. Lahaina town 12 minute drive away. We were in KA202 , would rent again for sure. Good space, kitchen, beds, bathroom, and good wifi for 3 adults, 1 remote working.

We where lucky enough to have the chance to say here. Beautiful views, amazing sunsets and sea turtles. Well maintained, and updated. We will be saying here again if we can.

The condo served our family of three very well. The kitchen made breakfast quick and easy. My wife and I were grateful for the coffee maker. The ocean view was very nice. We could see whales breeching from our balcony. Follow some stairs down to the ocean and there is a small sandy beach. We snorkeled and saw countless fish, crab, turtles and eels. There is a small pool that we only used once for a few minutes. For us, there is so much to do in Maui that a pool isn’t necessary. I would definitely stay here again. Lonnie the manager was very nice and everything went as promised.

Yelp
We rented condo #213 and the view was amazing! The condo was well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The only issue we found was that the unit could have used a good deep cleaning, baseboards, doors, etc. shower had an old bar of soap left in it. Other than that, a fantastic value and again spectacular views

Yelp
We LOVED staying at the Kaleialoha condos! We stayed in #413 & my parents in #312 & it was great. Absolutely stunning view! We were able to see sea turtles & whales from the Lanai! The condos we're cozy, clean & very well supplied. It was a perfect home away from home! We stayed for a week and prepared many of our meals at home and it had literally every kitchen or household item we needed, which was awesome! Our only complaint is that the beds were not as comfortable as we'd hoped, with just not much support. The entire property is beautiful & well maintained. We just loved this place. Our units' manager, Lonnie is also super nice and attentive! We would definitely stay here again! On a side note, my brother stayed in #309, which was a beautiful unit but he was very disappointed that there was no air conditioner, especially since his room was a higher in cost than ours. But this unit is managed by someone else. I recomend staying at Kaleialoha in general but highly recommend renting specifically from Lonnie. Thanks Lonnie!

Yelp
Very very relaxing condo. We only got to sleep here one night but it was the best room we had on our 12days trip! The condo had everything you need! Very comfy bed and sheets! Cold A/C, free wifi and T.V. You have acces to everything a house have, kitchen appliances ( refrigerator, stove, microwave etc...) the shower has hot water and a lot of pressure. You are right next to the beach and can hear the relaxing waves while trying to sleep! There is also a pool and free parking! There was a 150$ cleaning fee that I wasnt awared of that was charged to me 2 days after I paid for the room. There is also no reception so you have to contact the owner of the condo directly if you have any questions

Yelp
Kaleialoha Condominiums #207 Grounds:Older Property with wear and tear in elevator and on outside exterior. Grounds kept clean daily. We felt safe had no problems with neighborhood. Condo will make you forget all about the exterior. All appliances and etc.are up to date. Everything you need and need to cook is in the this condo. We grilled Salmon and made coffee every morning while watching the beautiful view. We never used any beach equipment but she has it if needed. Chairs, beach towels, cooler. We sat on patio daily. She has air condition in living room and she also has fans which was enough for us and my husband is HOT natured. We were comfortable in all rooms. Everything a hotel has this condo has but more. There is a ceiling fan in each room. Lonnie was attentive and answered all of our needs. I recommend #207. Compared to the resorts and hotels and their extreme prices. Kaleialoha is definitely the best choice for your money in expensive Hawaii. When you show your friends the pics they're gonna think you were at the Sheraton. It was only about a 30 mi. Drive to Kahului and almost 3 hour drive to Road to Hana from Condo. We did majority of our activites in Lahaina so this location was perfect. Lonnie explains everything you need to know about your stay, the do's and donts. Condo was great we recommend and would stay again.

Yelp
Kaleialoha will always hold an awesome place in my heart. I got to spend 8 perfect nights in room #308 and this condo was one of the highlights of this fantastic island. For starters, the unit itself was nice. Single bedroom, bathroom, with an in unit washer-dryer. But the real jewel was the ocean facing balcony. Up on the 3rd floor, you get a nice view of the ocean, the neighboring islands, and PERFECT turtle spotting. I MEAN PERFECT! There were countless days we'd relax in the afternoon, only to spot a few turtles swim by and I had enough time to grab my snorkel gear and go out and join them. The other awesome part of this condo is the private beach access. This was superb as I didn't have to travel down to Kaanapali or head over to a crowded beach if I wanted to catch some time in the water. Everything was picture perfect. Add in the fact that this condo itself has some nice amenities and a cool looking pool. Makes this the ideal place to stay if you want a relaxing time in Maui! Already planning on staying here again in 2017.

Yelp
We stayed in unit 105 for a week in July. This unit is rented privately by the owner and not through Kaleialoha's rental agency. The unit is nice, clean, and is on the 1st floor so you can walk out through the lanai onto the grass. The condo is right on the water. It's really a great location. At $165 per night is was a great deal. There is no air conditioning so the unit did get warm. Keeping the front and lanai doors open to let the breeze pass through helped. The complex is very quiet, the sunsets here are fantastic! it's a nice place to kick back and relax.

Yelp
Stayed here in room #406 for 1 week Dec 2015. AWESOME. DOES HAVE AC! many units do not. So easy to check in and out. All amenities nearby including beach, snorkel shop, gas station, super market, liquor store, restaurants, farmers market and spa to name a few. Pool not blocking the ocean view. Wake up to ocean sounds. Doesn't get too loud so rarely hear anything other than ocean from your balcony (Lanai). No smoking on Lanai so no smell. Very close to Lahaina without the touristy annoyances. One thing to know if you plan to cook bring your own spices and condiments or it gets quite expensive. Helpful and responsive care taker Loni was nice and responded to texts. Everything was pretty self serve so didn't really need much during stay. Would highly recommend for all above but mostly for the local and view. Unbeatable for the price.

Yelp
We've stayed in 113 for the last 10 days and it's been perfect. Well-equipped kitchen with counter cooktop so I actually enjoyed meal prep with an ocean view. Comfortable bed, washer-dryer, beach chairs/umbrellas and ice chest for trips to beach...we lacked for nothing on this stay. This unit is actually wheel chair friendly, if anyone is looking for that (including shower). We will miss the lanai and all the meals we enjoyed there. Already booked for next year!

Yelp
My wife and I stayed in unit #315 for a week in November 2012. We could not be happier with our condo! Great location, and amazing views. You are seriously only 75 feet from the ocean and pounding surf. On our first day staying, we saw dolphins, sea turtles and humpback whales right from the balcony! My wife had never seen any of the three and needless to say, she was impressed! The sunsets from the complex are amazing. There is large grass area behind the complex with a dozen lounge chairs to relax on -- whether it's a sunset or an afternoon tan, there is always a nice place to rest and relax, enjoy the amazing Maui weather. Our unit (315) came fully stocked with every single kitchen gadget, utensil and appliance that you could ever need. The floor plan is spacious and open. The ocean breeze and waves crashing constantly filled the entire unit. The couch, bed and dinning room table are comfortable and perfectly sized for two or four guests. Every nick nack and piece of artwork was perfectly placed and the entire unit had a 'lived in' and welcoming feel. I felt like I was at home in my parent's' beach house. Any item you could think of is here. Blender, toaster, dishes, pots & pans, silverware, etc... The complex is located about 50 minutes from the main airport and only 15 minutes from Lahaina. It's more than convenient. There is a tiny beach out front that you can swim and snorkle from. Everything about this unit and complex are top notch and worth more than their cost. We couldn't have picked a better location to stay at. If you plan on coming to Maui, this is the condo complex to consider. Trust me.

Yelp
Stopped at this property to inquire about future rental and the possibility of seeing a unit as I had viewed the property online and like what I seen. Maintenance man/manager said he was too busy and if I wanted any information there was phone #'s on the message board. Wow! Very unprofessional attitude to potential revenue at the door! His attitude will guarantee checking this property off as a NO for future vacations.

Yelp
Holy Moly, if there was a 0 star option I would definitely opt for that. This establishment never made it past reservation. Faulty and unprofressional on ALL PROVIDER SIDES. Let me start with the fact that I was initially calling a rep to discuss an issue with the pricing advertised, to explain: I found a room listed at $161 per night, I attempted to book 3 days. Upon reserving I noticed the total coming to around $745 all together for a booking from 29 Jun 2018 - 02 Jul 2018. The price breakdown stated $161 per night/$77 taxes per night and a $29 resort fee. $77 of $161 seems damn near 50% tax, so I called to get this cleared up. First number was apparently expedia, who supplied me with an outsourced rep who barely spoke english. The rep even tried to get me to HANG up by pretending not to hear me for around 2 min, which I proceeded to call out and BOOM, miracle..she can hear me. No help was obtained here. She proceeded to give me a "direct" number to the hotel which just turned out to be another expedia contact with the SAME AUTOMATED MESSAGING SYSTEM.....come on. So I looked around and found an 808 number to call the maui resort directly and ohhhh boy. I got a hold of what appeared to me a "Lani" or "Lonny", not sure but she was not the greatest. I proceeded to explain my issue to her and she kept cutting me off and stating I had the pricing wrong and what total is listed is whats listed. She informed me that hawaii is a 14% tax rate but when I inquired further that %14 of 161 is NOT $77, she kept yelling at me that its NOT TAX PER NIGHT and kept mentioning something about a cleaning fee, that is definitely not listed. But I asked "If its not $77 tax per night then why is the total this much?" Lonny or Lani or Loni, whoever this person is, and bless her soul cuz she needs some help, proceeds to go "You know what, the total is the total, I dont know I cant do this, Im not going to bother, Im going to hang up" THEN I GOT CLICKED ON! Goodness gracious, im not sure what "Hawaii" tries to advertise but I've lived here for years and customer service on the islands for damn near any mainline establishment is sub bar but this takes the cake. This was so bad that I actually took the time out of my day to write a yelp review so this could be documented. If there is a corporate somewhere, they are getting emails, calls, whatever source of communication there is because this service and treatment is damn disrespectful, unprofessional, and utterly appalling. P.S. As I proceeded to write this review this random unidentifying number is texting me about expedia deals for the resort. I call inquiring who this is and GUESS WHAT?! Its LOOONNNNIIIII. And shes as rude as ever. I even tried to ask her again for her credentials and or manager/supervisor and she CLICKS AGAIN. God Bless.

Yelp
It is difficult to find the right deal in Maui when it comes to the balance between economical spending and adequate access and comfort. I would say this place did a great job of offering an alternative to the uberexpensive resorts 10 minutes down the road. Maui inflates prices on just about everything and you have to hunt well for prices to match your budget. We stayed in #304 and for the most part it was pretty awesome. It was like staying in your grandma's friend's beach condo... when she is gone. The kitchen was small but stocked with utensils, pots/pans, china, and newish appliances. Some of the furniture (pull out couch, tv stand end tables) look Hawaiian with a tad of old people style. There is a small washer and drier in the unit and all the closets are loaded with beach towels, coolers, and stuff you normally keep at your own place. Mostly prior owned stuff so it is a little like staying in some one else's place creepy. But I digress, the place has essentially everything... including a lanai/balcony equipped with a table and chairs for eating breakfast literally feet away from the ocean....everything BUT air conditioning. The place, despite open balcony, windows, and front door shutters, could get stifling humid and hot. We had a 4 month old with us so that was a small pain. Overall, this place was worth the price. Located close to Lahaina and all the fancy shops and resorts but tucked away from overly tourist-populated corners, it offers convenience without the added price tag. You get a much more relaxed atmosphere. PS: I do not recommend dragging around babies on your dream vacation

Yelp
We stayed in #209 on our trip in November 2011. It was more than we could have imagined. It was clean and well stocked. I couldn't stop taking photos from the deck. The first two nights I kept waking up to get different shots in sunrise, sunset, dark, light, etc. The sea turtles are pretty cool too. The entire process from reserving to staying was completely positive. The first night we slept in the sofabed right off the deck so we could enjoy the sounds of the ocean, and I just didn't want to leave the view. It was a great location to walk to the farmers market for great local ingredients and the BBQ area allowed us to cook up our own Hawaiian meals. The first part of our trip was on the east side of the island and more about the scenery then where we were staying. The stay on the west side here at the condos was scenery as well, but more relaxation and a great atmosphere to do so.

Yelp
My wife and I are currently staying in unit 105 as well and absolutely love it! The view is fantastic, sunset are perfect, and we have even been able to swim with turtles right out in front of the condo. Why spend tons of money on a resort when you can a place like this for half the cost?!?!? Definitely would recommend to anyone thinking about staying here!

Richard S.

Yelp
We've been staying in #304 for 18 years. It has always been at least a four star until this year. There was a change of ownership in 2012, and things have changed! The new owner removed the only air conditioner. It was hot and humid! The manager told me the new owner was there a month before us. The faucet in the bathroom was duck taped together (obviously broken) and was broken 4 weeks before us and was still the same after our eleven days there. We won't be staying in #304 again!

James A.

Yelp
I cannot say enough good things about this place. When we were first booking our trip to Maui, which was our first actual vacation in 10 years, it was a major toss up between staying at a resort or at a privately owned condo. Man am I glad I chose to go with Kaleialoha. Yes, while it might have been nice to take a brief elevator ride down to a pool bar, just the simple fact that this was "our" little place away from the resort crowds sealed the deal. We stayed in room 210 which was decorated beautifully with sea turtle decor everywhere. The condo was just the right size for us, clean as a whistle, and had the most incredible view out onto the ocean. Just sitting outside and watching the sun set each evening was an experience in itself. On multiple days we even had front row seats to a group of sea turtles eating right off the reef directly in front of our place. I'm really going to miss walking down to the beach or over to the local coffee shop just down the road a bit. Even more so, just lying in bed with the sliding glass door open and listening the waves every night, as well as the ocean breeze.

Yelp
This place is amazing. My wife had stayed here before and recommended it. We booked in advance and received an upgrade bc the condo we originally reserved was not available due to the owner wanting to reserve it. The view is spectacular. The condo, #315, is very nice with everything you can possible think to need. Very clean and nicely decorated. There is a washer/dryer which I wish I would have know bc then I wouldn't have packed so many clothes. Also the location has a pool, very nice and warm. We went swimming one day and the temperature of the pool was about 89 degrees. There are turtles that swam in front every evening as the tide came in. The only thing my wife said she didn't care for was the mattress. It is a little bit hard in this particular unit and gave her neck and back problems through the week. It didn't affect her activities but they might consider upgrading the bed. Great place!! And very reasonably priced! These units are about $130, give or take a night which is not that much. You will pay much more for your standard hotel and you may not get a view or if you do, you will pay more for it. We will be back! May 2011

Bill E.

Yelp
Stayed here for a week on my honeymoon. They place is absolutely awesome. We rented a private unit (not through association) had loved it. Beautiful views off the lanai of the ocean. Snorkeling out back. The grounds are kept clean and updated. We'd stay here again.

Susan D.

Yelp
Great place to stay! We just spent a week in a condo here. We saw so many turtles and got to swim and snorkel and watch them feeding - right outside of the condo. The condo was clean and updated and had a phenomenal view of the sunsets! It was also in a great location if you prefer to be a little away from all the people. It's close to the beach walk and the resorts but also far enough away that it feels more private and remote. We didnt see any kids at the complex while we were there, which was perfect for our 5 year anni celebration. There are lots of stores and restaurants close by, which was convenient.
