A sweet space in a good location. It’s a small space inside & there’s outdoor seatings as well. Good menu with vegan & vegetarian options. Great staff that took time to explain & to suggest meals. The food is presented simply & uncomplicated but in an appealing way. Good choice of drinks & generally a nice place for lunch in the middle of the city. Definitely affordable ⭐️

This was one of my favorite places that we ate in Stockholm. We were trying hard to find reasonably priced places to eat and found this one. It's a very small place, so a lot of people take their food to go. There are a few tables along the window and then there's stadium seating along one of the smaller walls. It's a cool concept, but it's kind of hard to climb up, especially when you're trying to climb around people. It does provide a good view of the restaurant though. It's fast casual, so you order at the counter and they bring your food to you. The service was pretty fast. The food is incredibly good. We did one of the dishes with meat and the other with vegetarian. We got the sauces they recommended with it. It had so much flavor and tasted very fresh. I would highly recommend coming here while you're in Stockholm. We enjoyed it way more than the places you have to pay the times the price.

I ate here twice before today and the food was good. The second time I asked the waiter if they use olive oil in their food and he said they only use rapeseed oil because it's a Swedish product. He didn't like that I asked. This time I came with a friend this evening and the same waiter kept looking at me as if he remembered me. I ordered a fish wrap. But it didn't taste like fish at all, it was just a few vegetables, potatoes and a little bit of sauce. It wasn't good at all and I felt a tight stomach afterward. They say they use organic ingredients but I'm not sure how reliable they are about food hygiene or if it's actually fresh!

Google
Perfect experience! Honestly, the service was outstanding. They really took their time in thoroughly explaining and recommending some of the menu options. Note that it was not busy at the time. The food itself was great - plentiful, healthy and well presented. Not to mention the prices, very much appreciate finding more affordable options in Stockholm! Don’t hesitate to try their homemade drinks. Fully recommend this place.

Great gourmet fast-food restaurant serving New Nordic Cuisine in a simple and approachable manner. They serve locally sourced, organic food. It is a self service restaurant, but they bring you the main dishes. Try the Stockholm and the Köpenhamn.

Google
I highly recommend this place! Everything is 100% organic and the plates are assembled right in front of you. There's an endless amount of mix and matching, especially with the tasty sauce options. For those that aren't familiar with Swedish food, the staff gives great pairing options with the ingredients and beverages. The food comes out very quickly and you can sit inside or outside for a quick bite or an extended meal. There aren't that may seats but they turn over fast enough that you won't need to wait more than a few minutes for a spot. Also, for a city as expensive as Stockholm, this was a nice place that didn't break the bank.

Yelp
A small place, but with some crazy stadium style seating. The food here appears to be all organic. My wife had a Nordic open-faced sandwich, and after eating those in Copenhagen, Oslo and Sweden, she said this was the best one she had. I had a bowl of the fish stew, which came with a side of cream that was like sour cream. I watched some other gentlemen take a spoonful and put it in their soup and eat it. That fish stew was hearty and delicious. They also serve organic beers here and I had a Stockholm Organic Lager, which tasted like a German Pilsner. It's not a huge place, and when we got there, the tables at ground level were full. They have outside seating, but seeing how this was early January, we didn't want to eat outside, even though it is covered (but still a bit open). They have these "stadium-style" seats with little tables, though, and we climbed up there. They have everything partially made, and when you order, they put it together. There were only two people I could see handling it, but service was great. Some of the best food I ate all trip.

Yelp
I can only think of positive things to say ! Not sure how close this to a proper Swedish meal but from a tourist amateur taste palette, it's pretty damn delicious. I had the Stockholm w/ fish. Three fish balls were surprisingly enough because it's paired w/ rice, potatoes, onions, and sauce of your choice! The staff was also really helpful in explaining the sauces & recommended me the more popular choice on the menu. I can't wait to come back and have this again.

Yelp
If you want a very clean and fresh Scandinavian plate, check them out. I got a blend of seasonal organic Scandinavian root vegetables (onions, beets, potatoes, etc.) They dress this with shredded cheese and a cool horseradish. On the side they serve Swedish meatballs. The meatballs withheld this meal I really liked from really loving. They give just a bit too much resistance on the bite for my taste and also have just a bit too little fat blended in. This left them a bit too dry and a bit too bland in my opinion. Overall, however, I do recommend this place. The service was fast and friendly, the meal was clean, and the food pays homage to the terroir of central Sweden. Anyone visiting the city for the first time will find this a nice affordable introduction to the cuisine.

Yelp
Okey, now I've been here three times so I guess I'm entitle to grade this place. You enter this tiny place which they've actually used the space very well. It's an open kitchen/living-room solution sharing the small space with the employees. The menus are creative and there's flavored that you normally don't find in food in Stockholm at a place like this. You bring the utensils, water glass and some paper towels to you table. I decided to climb to the top of the restaurants seating stairs creation. If you are into eco-food, locally produced etc then you have come to the right place. Today I asked for something to fill my stomach since I was really hungry. They recommended the special called Ramsele (120sek), a plate with 3 micromini tiny-sized meatballs, iceberg lettuce, walnuts, carrots, onion and other raw-food things and a sauce. The food was a bit salty and a bit too much butter flavors, but it's all good and quite interesting.everything is like always really nice presented on a rectangular plate. Problem is when I ask for something filling I'm counting on that I will leave a happy pancake. But no, the plate consist of like 30-40% of this cheap iceberg lettuce and the meat was probably no more than 40grams. This place is not a value-for-money place at all. Come here for a snack, not for a full meal if you don't want to fill up with bread. Personally there are many other restaurants that I can recommend which are much better.

Yelp
For some reason, I thought this place was vegetarian but they do have meat and fish options too. I ordered the Stockholm with meat each time I went in. Never disappointed. And I never used the sauce that's included. I think the dish is tasty enough as is. The staff is really friendly. They have a menu in English, but it's printed out and located near the register. And they accept AmEx, which is a big deal for corporate card holders.

Yelp
This is one of those places where the colors of your plate scream "Healthy food!" And it's not only that, everything here is delicious, fresh and organic. Straight from Scandinavian farms. Highly recommended. Come here and you will not regret that you did.

Yelp
Easily the best meal we had in Stockholm. The employees were incredibly helpful. The meatballs were so tender and delicious. The roasted veggies were colorful, bursting with flavors and beautiful. I would recommend the remoulade sauce. No idea what's in it but damn it's good. If you're in town, don't miss this spot! They have options for omnivores and vegans alike.

Yelp
If this is your first time eating Swedish meatballs in Sweden be warned that these aren't "traditional" Swedish meatballs. Kalf & Hansen puts a modern twist on Swedish meatballs. If you're into the whole vegetarian thing then this is the place for you. We tried the Stockholm style meatballs, one order of fish and one order of regular meatballs. Both meatballs were alright and not that great. Potatoes are either baked or roasted, I couldn't really tell because it was layered with pickled onions that I didn't really enjoy with the dish. Overall, it was an interesting experience but I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for traditional Swedish meatballs.

Yelp
Fantastic fast food. The Stockholm dish was tasty. I wouldn't get the meatballs again bc they tasted like breakfast sausages. Everything else was so good that I still give 5 stars.

Yelp
Amazing organic food! The service is great and the people are really nice. We got the meatballs and the salad. Everything was delicious, and service was great.

Yelp
Tasty, vegetarian, healthy foods. And the juices are delicious, too. It had a very laid back vibe with friendly waiters who took time with us explaining what each dish was. It's in a really great neighborhood, too, across from a park with a fountain. We sat outside since it was a beautiful spring day. I'd definitely go again if we return to Stockholm.

Yelp
I went here on what has probably been the hottest day of the year so far, and these people were nevertheless cranking out their delicious food (and I was told it was even hotter in their kitchen downstairs...) -- kudos! All-organic food and drinks with options of like sandwiches, salads, and soups based around different kinds of "frikadeller" (think meatballs - veg, fish, or meat) and choices of yummy sauces on the side. The make-up of the rest of the dish is determined by what's in season. Because I was last here in July, my Oslo salad had watermelon, among other things. So delicious and filling! The place is a little on the small side with stacked/leveled-ish seating. I've mostly gotten food to go so no issue there, but there is also seating outside in the summertime. I like Kalf and Hansen. I really like it a lot. It makes me so happy to know that there are people who genuinely care about food, where it's sourced from, and how it's prepared, and also have it taste so great. Yay!

Yelp
Finding Scandinavian food - modern, classic, or otherwise - at a modest price point in a low-key setting in Stockholm isn't easy. Kalf & Hansen makes it possible with a contemporary twist. The cozy spot occupies a busy corner of Södermalm and offers a fun dining space with an industrial vibe. I had the København with meat, which did not disappoint. Portion sizes are sufficient, but for the value I should should have ordered multiple plates to have a sampling! The service is quick and friendly. By far one of the tastiest and best value restaurants we visited in Stockholm.

Julianne C.

Yelp
The menu is vague so we weren't sure but it turns out the meat and vegetable specials change... very fresh! Not a lot of seating but you can make it work. The staff is incredibly helpful and I cannot put in to words how delicious the food is! Reasonably priced and absolutely worth your time! Highly recommend.

A small eatery with some tables outside. Vegetarian dishes available. Overall it's pretty decent.

Yelp
So happy that we stumbled upon this place! The food was great, they were very friendly and fast, and it was really a great deal. Highly recommended way to get a more modern spin on Swedish Meatballs!

Yelp
Enjoyed a delicious meal of meatballs with beet salad and horseradish sauce that was to die for. Our 13 year old scarfed it down!

Yelp
This is a really great place and fills all its promises. You don't usually get this good food with this fare price. Pourtion could have been a little larger to reach for five stars. But definitely this restaurant shines in its own category.
google avatar

Jennifer M.

Yelp
Extremely good locally sourced dishes and the staff is very friendly! The restaurant is small but cozy and you can get take away to the park nearby when the weather is good.

Yelp
Perfect place to go for a fast healthy tasty lunch. Always a go back to when Im visitibg sweden. Quite small so if you want a seat don't go there when everyone does, but they have take away and that is probably what makes the most sense. Nice staff and a cool owner. Check it out. And it's 100%organic

Yelp
Really tasty food! Very flavorful! The veg Stockholm and Nuuk were delicious and the carrot ginger smoothie was great too!

Yelp
Really delicious organic/ecological ingredients here. I tried the "Oslo" with meatballs and it was super delicious (especially after a nice yoga class). The salad came with sprouts, mint, watermelon, hummus and so much more. The three meatballs were super yum. Portions were perfect for lunch and priced well! I did a take away order and ate lunch at the park! I'd come back here - fast, friendly service too.

Fatina H.

Yelp
It's a bit different than the regular IKEA, or Meatball for the people style, but really delicious. I recommend this place if you love good quality food.
google avatar

Yelp
My second kitchen. The city's best meatballs served with a Danish touch in an ecological packaging. Friendly staff. Good for lunch, after work take away or your weekend pick nick.

Yelp
The ambiance is definitely hipster, but that should not deter anyone from eating here. I spent three days in Stockholm before finding this gem and if I lived here permanently I would make it a weekly stop for lunch or dinner. The food is of high quality, the Swedish Meatballs taste on par with my Grandmother's recipe, and the food is locally sourced and seasonal - everything you could ask for in cuisine. Many say that Swedish food is tasteless or outdated, but Kalf and Hansen is putting a modern twist on the classics. I asked one of the workers about the sourcing of the food and she spent a few minutes talking about it with me, talk about a fine establishment!
