"This themed raft ride is a great way to cool off on a humid summer day, but beware — you're almost guaranteed to get wet, if not absolutely soaked." - Travel + Leisure Editors

Google
I remember a very similar ride existed in Mexico. The only difference was that it was much more fun there, since the steering wheel allowed everyone to steer the tires, allowing them to decide who got wet. The ride is also really short here, with only one slope. Luck will decide if you get wet, since the water only falls on two or three seats. I expected more from this attraction.

Google
Nit up to par with water rapid rides in other parks. Not worth more than a 30 minute wait.

Ruchita Agarwal

Google
This was a low thrill level ride. Nice but not worth more than 20 minutes of wait. You get wet, so plan to carry rain coats. I used the lightening lane pass so enjoyed it. The ride is in Asia zone and teleports you to Nepal like mountain region.

Mariel Ortega

Google
Kali River Rapids was a fun and refreshing ride with a surprisingly short wait time—just 5 minutes! Plus, you get a fantastic view of Expedition Everest as you float along, making it a great addition to your Animal Kingdom adventure. Perfect for cooling off and enjoying the scenery!

Oliver Findlay

Google
A mediocre river rapid ride. I did feel this lacked in the exhilirating feeling when going on a river rapid. I have certainly been on better. if you're waiting for more than 45 minutes then it certainly isn't worth it sadly. At the time of the ride, the water cannons to 'soak' the people on the ride wasn't working (which is a shame when you fancy being evil for a short few minutes!)

Thom James

Google
Very fun ride. Well timed too, as the heat and humidity were getting to us, so we took the Kali River Rapids and soon cooled down. Note: you will get wet! Absolutely. But it’s a very fun ride when the lines are manageable and not too long.

Rachel Morgan

Google
You will get wet in varying degrees. 2 or 3 riders usually get soaked! Very fun, and the line wasn't too bad when we went, maybe a 10 min wait. I recommend it and would ride it again, knowing that you will get damp or drenched.

Eric Stankovitz

Google
Such a fun rapids ride here at Animal Kingdom. It’s the perfect ride to enjoy when it’s hot or even just beautiful outside. After ascending up a nice hill, you encircle the top before catapulting down into a huge splash which pretty much ensures you get wet or totally wet. Lots of fun!!! I dare you to ride it when it’s a little chilly…

Royce L.

Yelp
I was underwhelmed on this ride. It's set up like water rafting/tubing? I'm not sure what it's called but it's a round "raft"/boat and you get strapped in. It does spin and you'll probably get wet as there a few small drops to get you splashed. The reason I say it was underwhelming is because it was short. I was lucky enough to have a lightning pass for this ride but I wouldn't have wanted to wait for this ride. There are also lockers before you get on line to store your stuff and you can buy ponchos at one of the stores close by.

Yelp
Welcome to the jungle, we got fun and games!! (Guns N' Roses) Float down the river in Africa! How fun. This reminded me of the movies Jumanji (Jumanji Welcome to the Jungle and Jumanji: The Next Level). Is there snakes? Crocks? Dangerous obstacles? What adventure awaits! Well, you don't need to worry about any of those things on this ride lol Only the water! Buahahahaaa You will for sure get wet. And if you are "lucky" you will get even more wet than everyone else on your tube. If you don't want to get wet, then don't go on this ride people lol That's the whole point of this. The thrill of getting wet while you float down Kali River in "Africa." Tons of fun overall.

Maggie H.

Yelp
It was moderately warm when we rode Kali River Rapids. I enjoy a ride like this. We didn't get very wet, but the people on the other side of our raft did. Some fun sound effects here and there on the ride. Roaring and that sort of thing. The queue to the ride isn't too interesting, but that some of it was outside made for good people watching. We watched two toddlers fight over who got to sit on a rock.

Yelp
Kali River Rapids at Disney's Animal Kingdom is an exhilarating river adventure that immerses you in the heart of the lush jungles of Asia. As you board your raft, prepare for a thrilling journey through rushing rapids and swirling waters, surrounded by stunning scenery and exotic wildlife. The unpredictability of the rapids keeps you on the edge of your seat, ensuring every ride is a unique experience. While you may get wet, the excitement and joy of the ride make it all worthwhile. Kali River Rapids offers a refreshing escape from the Florida heat and is a must-do attraction for thrill-seekers and nature lovers alike visiting Disney World's Animal Kingdom.

Joseph G.

Yelp
Kali river rapids is a water tube ride attraction located inside of disneys animal kingdom. The ride which isn't themed off any worry cost show or movie (maybe they could do Moana or some other movie involving boats or water?) is a pretty fun ride that is suppose to emulate white water rafting in Africa. While a water ride I've never really gotten to wet on Thai ride and it's always pretty peaceful and a nice ride that can usually fit even larger families like mine all on one ride. Wait times for This one can be hit and miss. Usually not much longer than 40 minutes but it you time it right during the day or evening there won't be a wait. Overall pretty fun ride that my family like to ride when it gets kinda overbearing hot in the very unshaded animal kingdom park.

Erik P.

Yelp
Daughter wanted to go on here since it was a hot humid day. Lines - Long wait times for the ride and not sure why, employees could be hustling and moving people in and out faster to keep it more consistent in my opinion. Ride - Kinda of short compared to other parks I've been to and not as enjoyable. Overall it's an okay ride but not worth the wait in my opinion.

Emily L.

Yelp
This is definitely a family friendly ride. It was ok. but could be longer with more drops!!! We didn't get that wet but saw others who came off soaked LOL. Must've felt nice in the florida heat. The line could use more decor / be more entertaining since the wait was soooo long. We only rode it once. Idk if we'd do it again but maybe!!!

Jacky C.

Yelp
1) You will get wet. It's a matter how wet you're going to get. 2) The ride mainly bumps you around the river followed by one drop. Very anti climatic if you ask me as I thought there would be multiple drops. I guess they didn't have enough space for multiple drops.

Monique W.

Yelp
Kali River Rapids is a water ride located in Animal Kingdom within Disney World. It's very similar to the water ride at Disney's California adventure except the drop is not as large. My daughter was scared initially of Kali River Rapids, not wanting to go on the moving platform to board the ride considering her experience at the Disney's California adventure ride. I'd looked online and it stated this ride was much more calm. You're on essentially a circular raft that seats a fair amount of people. With social distancing guidelines, families were situated in every other seat. There are several dips and water blasts on the ride, however, we ended up not getting wet at all!! Our clothes, bags stayed fully dry. I'd imagine there are some other lucky individuals who will get splashed on the ride, but we made it out safe! The wait time wasn't bad, about 20 minutes to hop on the ride. There are social distancing markers setup for the queue and hand sanitize stations placed throughout the ride. It's a short ride, but a good break on a hot summer day in Florida!

Kristina G.

Yelp
We ride this EVERY. TIME. The theming is cool and it is a lot of fun! Unfortunately is it a short ride so we only ride when the wait time is short or we have a fast pass. I wouldn't wait more than 20 minutes for it. Its a great way to cool off and you normally get pretty wet but there are "hot seats" that tend to get it harder than others and its so funny to see who will be that lucky person(s). It has some turns and drops but even my non thrill ride motion sick prone mom will ride this so it's definitely not scary or sickly. It's just a good time and a great way to cool off and enjoy the scenery during a day at Disney's Animal Kingdom. Beware at the end where you people watching can push buttons and get you even wetter.

Gaylon G.

Yelp
This is one of the best rides in the Animal Kingdom portion of Disney World. The ride is about the effects of deforestation on the environment and besides having a message about responsible use of the Earth, it is a water ride that results in a lot of splashing. Disney does a great job of getting parks decorated in an eye-catching way that helps you to spend time while in line. This is no exception, being done as if a Buddhist temple. Once you make your way through the line, you will mount a massive innertube type device that seats about six people. From there, you will make your way through a depiction of the forest that has been denuded of trees through over-logging. It finishes in a large drop that typically results in people becoming soaked to the skin. Not a bad idea on some hot Florida days. In previous times, before COVID, there were additional opportunities to get wet as onlookers could spray you with fountains on your way to disembark. Experienced travelers know that they should have extra clothes or rain coats to keep dry, or at least not to wear white t-shirts and pants. However you choose to dress, expect much water on this short and wet ride.

Lorie L.

Yelp
I appreciate the theming of this ride which made waiting in standby more interesting but the ride experience itself was only average. It also felt short. Others on the ride with us said "that's it?" About 10 ppl will be in the float as you travel the "rapids". There's a few dips and a couple of water blasts that may get you wet depending on where you're sitting in the moment. We exited fairly dry and I was thankful my shoes stayed dry. Lockers are available prior to getting on the ride. Otherwise you need to carry on your bags. It's always a good idea to carry baggies and wrap your phone or other items vulnerable to water.

Curtis C.

Yelp
Great ride to cool down on. While it's a little short, I'm not sure how much longer I'd want it or what else to add to it. Don't get on if you aren't willing to potentially get soaked. Sometimes you come out mostly dry, other times you're drenched. I like riding in the winter months when lines are short and it's "warm" for someone from Utah like me. It was a walk on today.

Clay G.

Yelp
This is a ride that Disney could certainly update. It's relatively short, simple, and people really don't get wet. Honestly, I'm surprised they haven't tried to add a movie tie-in. While it's great for a hot day, any semblance of a long line should have you looking at the other attractions.

Bess Z.

Yelp
Opinion of Ride: - There was one tiny drop and that was it. Otherwise it was more like Kali River Not-Rapids. It was also really short. - The only good thing about the ride is that when it's hot, it helps you cool down a bit. - Once you exit the ride, you cross a bridge where you get a chance to spray other riders. I liked that when the boats were stalled/backed up the sprays were turned off so that you couldn't soak anyone. Helpful Note: - If there are things you want to store, there's a locker nearby. I don't recall where exactly, but I didn't spot it until exiting the ride. Fast Pass (FP+) or Not: - This is an easy pass. Wait times aren't as bad as other rides but if you're short on time, you wouldn't miss out on anything if you skipped this ride altogether. Wait Time: - This was low on my priority list so I didn't pay too much attention to Standby time, but the highest peak time I saw was 55 minutes. - Again, if you're short on time, feel free to skip this ride. It was a major snooze fest. Not worth a FP+ or a long wait in line.

Zach G.

Yelp
Long wait time, short ride! The kids and I enjoyed it though. We all got wet and it was a fun way to cool off mid-day. You're riding this with other guests in the raft, so it helps if you're grouped with others who are in it to have a good time. I would watch the wait times on this one and try to catch it at a slower time if that's possible.

Amanda B.

Yelp
Have the people who wrote these other reviews actually gone on other Disney rides???? This one is my least favorite ride of all the parks. You climb up all excited for a crazy journey, and then you slowly spin at like maybe 7 mph on a boring river. No Disney theming, no exciting music. Literally the most boring 5 minutes of my life. PASS

Martine K.

Yelp
You will get wet so it's perfect on a sunny hot day. If it's chilly you might want to rethink it. Many people go on with ponchos so if you don't want to get wet go to Walmart and get those cheap ones for a dollar. It's a fun ride and you spin around as you bounce off the side walls praying the waterfall won't get you. Near the end of the ride there are people on the bridge who can squirt you. All in good fun!

Paulet D.

Yelp
We had such a blast on this ride. It was literally non stop laughter even after getting soaked from the downhill. The raft sits 12 so if you're with a big group it's perfect enough for everyone to fit. Surprisingly the line for this ride moves rather faster then the rest of the rides, guessing because of the capacity of the raft. It's so much fun even with kids. You sit and enjoy the ride and get to see the animals and some of them spray water at you until you get soaked... like not kidding soaked! but it's so much worth it.

Ward D.

Yelp
Cool off with this ride. This is inside Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom Park. It is in the Asia section near the back of the park. This is the first time that we have been on this ride since COVID restrictions began. They handle the crowds very well and our wait time was about 10 minutes. In fact it took longer to walk up to the ride than the wait that we had for the ride. If you have to wait, there are some very interesting items along the various building that you walk through to get there. It is a seated ride in a circular boat where they typically fit 2 groups facing each other. You will probably get a little wet but the Florida heat should dry you off pretty quickly. Overall, a very refreshing ride to go on if you visit the park.

David N.

Yelp
This ride sucks, we tried twice in one day to ride it and both times we almost got on and then it broke. I don't get it, should be a simple water ride. The only redeeming factor is they give you a new anytime any ride fast past instead.

Styarria G.

Yelp
Board your raft, enough seats to fit 12 people, and get ready to get wet. It doesn't matter where you sit, you will get wet to some degree, some more than others, and very possibly soaked. You travel up and down the rapids, by waterfalls, and areas of water shooting up into the air. It's a lot of fun! Once off the ride, as you're crossing the bridge, where you can see the rafts of the ride below, notice the boxes with red buttons. When you press the button, the elephants alongside the river spray water on the riders as the rafts pass by. It is quite entertaining. If you have items you don't want to get wet, there are lockers located outside of the ride area, before you scan to enter the ride area.

Jeff C.

Yelp
The sign leading up to the ride does not lie... You may and very likely will get completely and totally soaked! Now that being said it is a fun ride I don't think ta worth a long wait, so you definitely want to fast pass this one as well. The ride itself is pretty funny it's not terribly long but there are ample opportunities to get yourself wet and laugh at your friends as they get soaked! As always with Disney the theme is absolutely incredible. It is located in Asia kind of Tucktaway but still one of the better rides here. BRING DRY CLOTHES!!!!!!

SharonLee A.

Yelp
Bring extra clothes. I'm walking around in drenched clothes right now. However if you missed the tip for extra clothes, there's always the ponchos they sell.....or standing underneath the hand dryer for a good 20 minutes inside the restrooms. YOU WILL GET WET. You MAY get DRENCHED. Unfortunately I was one of the "maybes" I was so soaked to the bone that people I walked past--if they had ponchos, they were relieved, and practically every parent mouthed "Bless your heart," I was a WET BLANKET literally and figuratively. It's not like Disney didn't warn you...I just wish I chose my better judgement and opted not to ride.......but in the end it was a pretty funny experience. Catch my video on my IG account. I captured the moment when the tidal wave hit me. Anyway, the family we rode with gave numerous tips so I will share them here too. Put your feet up because water will rush into the tube. And there is a compartment in the center where you can protect your purse/backpack/belongings. But again--you will get wet. I had to wringe out my undies. Sad day at the happiest place on Earth.

Erik H.

Yelp
Ok if you complain about getting wet on this ride, you are a whiner and shouldn't even be on it. All I hear people say is "I hope I don't get wet". If you are worried, then don't go and don't be a fool and wear a rain jacket. I had 10 people on my raft and we all had some variation of thoroughly drenched to wet t-shirt contest winner to bed wetter. you WILL get wet and the only question is how much. The only question is if you have a bag or something like a leather purse that might get water spots, I'd check it in the lockers. Otherwise there is a central bowl in the middle of the raft that is a little wet but you can put your nap sack or cinch sack in there. For those familiar with the Grizzly Peak rapids ride at California Adventure this ride has a Nepalese theme and the drop ie early and smaller. You do get wetter though and there are more squirting things that are likely to squirt and get you wet. I feel the ride is maybe a minute shorter than the one in LA. Also the standby line said 60 minutes but we waited about 35.

Rebecca H.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite rides of all time. About 10 people are sat into a big circular boat. At first, you slowly go down the river with a surprise jet popping up here and there to splash the randomly chosen lucky winner (yes, I was one of them!). You continue down the river twisting in the boat in all different directions. Once the river starts getting choppy, you know what's to come! The last drop is a doozy but in the best possible way. You get absolutely soaked in this ride but it's so refreshing in the unbearable Florida heat! As we got off the ride, we walked through the exit line where people could clearly see what they were in for (seeing me walk my walk of shame, soaked from head to toe!). I highly recommend this ride and it's so worth the wait!

Benny H.

Yelp
Expect to get wet. Really wet. Like soaked down to the point where you can't walk anymore. Still, if you're hot then this might be what you need. It's like any other tire tube ride. You sit down while you move around the water and things shoot water at you. Pretty basic, but always good for a laugh and a cool down session. It even started rainy after we got off, so we got even more wet! It's not a long ride at all, which was kind of a bummer, but in the end I felt like I got wet enough since my shoes were making that wet squeaky sound. Overall, a lot of fun.

Amy S.

Yelp
Love this ride and it's absolutely perfect for the hot and humid days! You're gonna get wet. Did you hear me? I'll repeat myself: YOU'RE GONNA GET WET! Who knows how much or how little, but you're gonna get wet. So if this is something that concerns you, don't get on this ride! During the hot, hot months we have here in Florida, getting soaking wet is actually not so much of a bad thing. It feels nice and will cool you down and believe it or not, our FL sun is so blistering hot that you'll dry off quicker than you think! Even though there are 12 in a boat and they move through quickly, the line can get really long for this attraction (especially during the summer months... and we have a LONG summer here). So I'd seriously consider grabbing a fast pass for this one! There are lockers you can store your items in so they don't get wet, but I've never had a problem putting my bag in the middle of the raft under the protection cover thingie. Now that I've said that, the very next time I go, my bag will get drenched. LOL Gotta love Murphy's Law. If you have a DLSR, I would definitely put that in a locker.. there's no way I'd risk that not getting wet. Kids are sure to love this ride too. What kid doesn't love getting wet? It's like a white river rapids kind of experience, but you are perfectly safe. Personally, I don't think there's anything scary about it. However, some kids may find that scary. As I've said about other rides, only you know your kids, so you make the decision on whether or not you think they can handle it. Don't miss this attraction when you're at Disney's Animal Kingdom!

Jim V.

Yelp
One of our favorite Disney World rides, not just at the Animal Kingdom, but throughout all the parks is Kali River Rapids. Warning - be prepared to get VERY wet, not just a little! Bring something water repellant to store your items in that you don't want wet. They used to have pockets to store things in the middle of the rafts, but no more. We rode a couple of times - one time soaked - one time just a little wet - you never know which one you'll be, part of the fun! The rafts are large and hold 12 people. The lines move quite fast as the ride is a continous movement style of ride with easy on/off. A couple of waterfalls/dips that really soak you. Near the end, the people watching the ride can use squirt guns to fire on their friends in the rafts as they float by - fun! Great ride for kids of all ages!

G.D. S.

Yelp
Are you kidding me? Anything less than 5 stars is just proof that some folks can never be happy! It's the "Magic Kingdom",.... buck up and get in there. Enjoy!

Veronica P.

Yelp
The shortest ride ever!!!!!! I dot know about you but I'm used to a rapid ride that is longer than one short stretch and a small waterfall drop. This ride felt like it lasted like a minute, I'm used to Disneyland's rapid ride that actually takes you in and gets you wet. This is great to entertain the kiddos and cool off on a hot day tho. Just don't be disappointed when you have to stand up right after sitting down, after waiting an hour. Big build up, little pay off!

Jeremiah T.

Yelp
This is my wife's favorite ride in all of Disney . Although it seems like it doesn't get you as wet as it use to , it'll still get you soaked on occasion. It's a great ride for the entire family . You e got to give this one a try .

Bill S.

Yelp
Kali River Rapids is an attraction at the Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park, in the "Asia" area. It is themed as a rafting expedition along the Chakranadi River, courtesy of "Kali Rapids Expeditions". In keeping with Animal Kingdom's message of conservation and environmental protection, this attraction deals with illegal logging and habitat destruction.

Lindsey D.

Yelp
The basic river ride in a circle! Great for kids. Great for families. My adult brother and I thoroughly enjoyed it! We came here first thing in the morning and waited no more than 30 minutes. I wore a pancho (like a wimp- so what?!) but it was well worth it because being wet all day with a park hopper was not an interest of mine. Ride: recommend Pancho: suggested

Fiorella G.

Yelp
This is like a game of water roulette. If you enjoy getting wet on a summer day...this is the ride for you. If you think you're going to get a little wet but don't want your clothes, including your shoes to get soaked DONT get in this ride. I don't often go on this ride because my significant other doesn't like his sneakers to get ruined lol. When I do I really like it...half the round raft will get really wet...the other half barely wet and at least one person is going to be dripping. I suggest you take a plastic bag for your electronics, there's a center console for stuff but in my experience...half the time the stuff in there gets soaked regardless.

Philippe B.

Yelp
Wet? Dry? Soaked? Time to Play Kali River Rapids Roulette! Overall: 4 Stars If you get on this ride wearing a poncho or another garment meant to prevent you from getting soaked you are missing the ENTIRE point of the ride. It is a relatively quick ride with a few splash/soak zones. Typically 1-2 people will stay remotely dry, 4-6 will be wet, and the 1-2 unlucky souls will be drenched from head to toe. I fell into either the first or last category. I'll let you decide which one I was. I HIGHLY recommend putting your feet up on the lower wheel. The raft floods easily and get into your shoes. If you're wearing sandals keep them down...unless you have socks on. At that point it's best you're friends scold you for your fashion sense. The center of the raft has a sizable space to store your personal items, but I wouldn't solely rely on that. Bring a ziplock bag or waterproof bag with you to place your cellphone, camera and wallet to prevent them from getting soaked. Don't be that STUPID person forgetting how to properly use a seatbeat and nearly fly out of the raft like the girl across from me did. This attraction is a MUST-RIDE, especially on a warm day. The standard wait time for this ride was 60 minutes during my Mid-July visit, therefore I highly recommend a fast-pass, if you haven't used them on the other main attractions.

Min Min I.

Yelp
An underwhelming river ride for a very long wait. If I had known what it was like, I would have skipped it and just lined up at Expedition Everest a second time. While it's fun to get soaked, there really was nothing to look at as you're traversing down the river. Personally, I wouldn't go on this if the wait was more than 30 minutes.

Angela M.

Yelp
Fun water ride, but sooo short. Good news is you can store your purse and valuables right on the ride so it won't get wet. The ride is actually funny. You laugh because either you or your neighbor gets soaked. But it's over in what seems like 1 minute. Too short...

Andy J.

Yelp
The big drop occurs early in the ride. The raft is circular and spins around very slowly as you meander down the river. How wet you get depends where you are in the spin process when you go down the big drop. Those who go down backward will get completely soaked b a wall of water at the bottom and those on the far side will get splashed a bit. If you do not want to get wet then don't ride this! All riders will range from slightly wet to soaked afterward.

Chad A.

Yelp
* Fast Pass Available I seriously cannot believe I forgot about this great attraction... Between the heat and the humidity this attraction proves the perfect solution to relieving one from dealing with the above. You are strapped into a large circular raft where you are treated to a White Water Rafting experience. While maybe not quite as exciting as actually going White Water Rafting this attraction still proves a lot of fun to the rider... especially if you are sharing the experience with others. You are taken on a course that includes small hills, waterfalls, and even an area where those watching can squirt you with water. If you ride this attraction then there is a pretty good chance that you will get wet and therein lies part of the excitement. We may do our best to stay dry, but deep down we know we want to get wet to help relieve a little bit of that mugginess that Central Florida provides. This one gets you really really wet! The lines may be long (but they move quickly and are for the most part shaded and comfortable,) but I still highly recommend this one!

Catherine O.

Yelp
A great cool rie for a hot day. You will get wet on this attraction and might even get soaked. Be prepared before riding unless you want to get wet. While the lines do get rather long, it is well worth the wait as this attraction is well made and the ride keeps you cool. I never miss this attraction when I am at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Emily R.

Yelp
The perfect ride for a warm day at Animal Kingdom. The line moves pretty quickly and it's in the shade, which is optimal. The boarding process is quick and efficient. Once you're on the ride, it's very much like other rapids ride. There are storage lockers at the entrance, but we just took our backpack with us and stored it in the center storage area to keep it nice and dry. The rapids are fun and they regulate the splashing to coincide with the temperatures so you won't get as wet when it's cooler and you'll get soaked on the extra hot and humid days in the park. Definitely worth a trip while you're here. Try to go doing the hottest part of the day so you can dry a little quicker.

Michelle B.

Yelp
Mother of all water rides. We rode this 8 times in a row. In the pouring down rain. This ride was beyond fun. I was wet from head to toe but I had the best time.

Clarice O.

Yelp
Kali River Rapids is a lifesaver on a warm day. Picture a humid day when breathing can make you sweat all of the liquid in your system (an exaggeration but I am sure I got my point across) and walking around under the hot Florida sun for at least half a day. Now picture a building with plenty of shade and a ride that will sure to cool you off. Now are you not immediately a fan of this ride? The line can get really long, but it provides shelter from the hot sun. The decorations you will see while waiting in line would also whet your appetite for an Asian adventure. And then getting wet will help you lower your body temperature to more tolerable level. If you are hot, go head to Kali River Rapids, STAT!

Daisy D.

Yelp
If you love water rides & want to get wet, this is the ride for you. If you like hearing little boys scream like little girls with excitement, this is the ride for you. If you like to laugh at those that think they can't possibly get THAT wet, this is definitely the ride for you. I've been on this type of ride numerous times through my theme park adventures, but none of them have ever compared to the consistent drenching of Kali River Rapids. At Universal you have Popeye & Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges (http://www.yelp.com/biz/popeye-and-blutos-bilge-rat-barges-orlando). And at Knott's Berry Farm in California, you have Bigfoot Rapids (http://www.yelp.com/biz/knotts-berry-farm-buena-park) None of them - for me - compare to Kali River Rapids. I have gotten soaked on Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls (http://www.yelp.com/biz/dudley-do-rights-ripsaw-falls-orlando-2) in Universal and barely a drop on me at Popeye in the same visit. Considering we usually Fast Pass a ride any time we have the option, I can't comment on the regular line. But with the constant circle of loading & unloading it can't be horribly bad unless it's a really hot day.

Yelp
This has got to be my favorite ride!!!! You might get lucky and not get too wet. it is perfect for hot summer days. i have ridden this ride over 3 times in one trip and i never get tired of it! it does have one drop but its not too bad, especially since it is such a big raft so you barely feel the drop. this is a must go!!!! no need for a fast pass, the line moves pretty quickly since they can fit 12 people in each raft.

Yelp
You have to fast pass this ride or you might be waiting for over an hour. Disney recently added lockers next to this ride so you can keep your belongings dry. It is free for the first 120 minutes and then they start charging. It's a toss up if you will get soaked or dry. Half our raft was completely soaked and the other was bone dry.

Yelp
It's okay if you want to kill time. You will either get drenched or stay dry-you have a one-in-eight chance of either happening!

Yelp
This was so much fun! It's the longest wait at Animal Kingdom, so use a fast pass for this one! Also, you will get wet or soaked. If you don't want to get wet, don't get on this! You board a large round raft from a platform and there you go! You dash through the rapids and get wet! It can be very fun and even a little different each time! Word of advice: don't wear sneakers with socks! I never had stinky feet in my life but now I own a pair of really stinky sneakers! It's still super worth it.
