Kallang Riverside Park

The nature side of this township, walking distance from the mrt. Good place to relax for people in this area. Nothing extraordinary but the big trees are giving good shades plus filtering the air around. Worth a small walk if you’re at this area.

I came here because there were some people said that we could see the otters running around this area and I also saw the sign that otter might cross by the pedestrian way. However, the lucky is not mine that day as I didn't see it coming, but I saw a turtle swimming under the bridge and there were groups of fish swam in the middle of the river. Really enjoy the long walk around this riverside park.

A rather quaint place to fish, with sufficient space for a few anglers simultaneously. Some caveats, however: 1. Clearing of aquatic plants happens on certain days. In my case it’s on 14 Nov. When that’s going on - all the fish are likely spooked. Will revisit to see if I can establish a pattern. 2. Lots of aquatic plants. Mainly Hydrilla. Lots of macro algae too; the filamentous kind. So that limits / influences the types of lures we could use. Be prepared to keep cleaning plants and algae off your lures.

Stretching along the calm waters of the Kallang Basin, this riverside park offers a gentle escape from the city’s faster pace. Wide paths run alongside the river, where joggers, cyclists and evening walkers move at an easy rhythm. As the sun begins to set, the light softens over the water and the skyline slowly glows in the distance. The space feels open and peaceful, with plenty of room to sit, watch the boats pass, or simply enjoy the breeze coming off the river. It is the sort of place that invites you to slow down for a while. A quiet stretch of green where the city feels just a little further away.

Discovered this hidden gem accidentally 😅... Nice, quiet and peaceful park by the river. Big open fields nearby and many trees around, providing cool shades during the sunny days. Will definitely come here more often to chill or just for a family picnic.

This is a 7 hectare park that connects the stadium area, Kallang, and the Marina Bay area via a park connector. You can often catch a picturesque view of the Marina Bay area while exercising. Many couples come here for a quiet walk, as do some groups, for their weekly Sunday picnic. My favorite part of the park is the connector to the Marina Bay area, but keep in mind that access to that part is often blocked up during September, as preparations for the F1 night race are underway, for safety reasons. A quieter and more peaceful route would be to go the opposite way, towards the National Stadium. This park is also conducive for water sports like canoeing and dragonboating, if you should so feel inclined that way.
