We stayed at Kallichoron for 4 nights, it was a recommendation from an acquaintance of mine and it did not disappoint! As soon as we arrived the lovely lady at reception made us feel welcome and Casanova the black labrador, who is totally the Master of the hotel, accompanied us to our room to ensure that everything was up to his standards. :o)||The room has a tablet where you can order breakfast for the next morning (needs to be done by 9 at night) and lots of other info. You can also order breakfast by filling in the paper form, and leaving it at reception, but we opted for the online method for less paper wastage. The breakfast (called Grandma's breakfast) has won awards and I can totally see why, it was a huge selection of traditional and local products and we chose something different every day, I wish I could have stayed there forever to try everything on the menu! ||The hotel staff have also provided a map of the island and very helpful recommendations on beaches, restaurants, bars and everything to do and see on the island, which was really appreciated! ||The rooms are nicely laid out, clean and our room had a beautiful view to the castle and windmills and a cute little balcony area where breakfast gets delivered in a tray every day. There’s also a handy hanging rack and clothes pins for drying your swimsuits outside. In the room there is a small kitchen with all necessities, including a Nespresso machine with Taf coffee capsules, Greek coffee, a variety of teas (even hand-picked sage tea!) and reusable/biodegradable straws made of wheat, really everything has been thought of by the Kallichoron staff, no detail has remained unnoticed.||The staff also helped us book a great day trip to Kounoupes, Koutsomitis and Red Rock with the beautiful traditional boat Perla, which was a highlight of our trip.|I’ve recommended Kallichoron to all my friends already and can’t wait to stay there again next time I’m in the beautiful island of Astypalaia. Kudos to the staff for their friendliness, hospitality, and the amazing job they've done with the place, and an extra ear rub for Casanova!||PS. The only small criticism I had was that there was a note in the toilet saying to leave towels on the floor if we want them changed, and we never did, but they were changed after the second night. For a 4-night stay, there really is no need to change sheets and towels, especially if not requested by the guests.||Air-con: Yes|Fridge: Yes|Safe deposit box: Yes|Hairdryer: Yes|Free Wi-Fi: Yes|Toiletries: Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and body lotion, vanity set|Towels: 1 body, 1 head, 1 hand per person + bath mat|Breakfast included: Yes, the most amazing breakfast ever!|Walkable distance from city center: 3 min walk from the center of Chora/windmills|Bedside tables & reading lights: Yes, on both sides|Luggage racks: One, plus low shelve that can fit another suitcase|Freebies: Lemonade at arrival

I wanted a secure solution for my holidays in the beautiful island of Astypalaia, so I chose this hotel despite the fact that the price was one of the highest on the island.|I was not disappointed. Everybody made us feel welcomed. The room was big and comfortable with many amenities. The breakfast very good. You have to choose from the night before, among infinite options and it will be delivered to your door in the morning.| The location is great, exactly in the center of the village. We needed a car and they arranged it for us at a good price. There is parking area also. They provide free transport from the airport (I suppose from the port also).| I recommend this hotel to those who prefer to live in the main village from having the beach at the doorstep. However if you have a car, the main beach is 5'.

I was expecting a lot and the bar was raised even higher! Thank you so much to the Kallichoron team for a wonderful week in September! The breakfast was phenomenal and the view too! The service was great! Would recommend it for everyone visiting the island.

Congrats Carolina / Maria on creating a ‘home away from home’ comfortable stay with emphasis on quality and genuine hospitality. Stunning views of the Chora and Castle. 2-3 mins easy walk to the Windmills, eateries and local bus stop. Every conceivable convenience is covered making for a memorable stay. ||Location. Great vista of Chora and the Castle. 2-3 minutes easy walk to local Bus Stop (to local beaches), Windmills, Eateries and Cocktail bars with the Chora beyond these. Stairs to the Port area below located opposite the Windmills. Because of the hilly landscape there’s stairs to negotiate but there’s always help with luggage. ||Value. Good considering location, room amenities (see below) and superb and plentiful ‘Grandma’s’ breakfast plus the free transport to and from the local Port making arrival convenient. ||Sleep quality. Very good, clean & comfortable beds. ||Proprietors. Professional, informative and hospitable. ||Room. Good size with all modern conveniences, TV, AC, Kitchen facilities Nespresso, Bath Robes, quality bathroom accessories and hairdryer, digital safe, stocked bar fridge etc. ||Breakfast. Simply the best! Grandma’s selection of local ingredients and produce is wide, fresh and mouth watering delicious. Served at your balcony / room with expansive views of the Chora and Castle. What a way to start the day. ||PS hello to Gabriel and to Casanova the dog….

Honestly we can not say enough good things about this hotel and our stay. The breakfast was amazing, the staff friendly and SO helpful The products all Greek and food mostly sourced locally from on the island. The view of the castle every day was icing on the cake! Close enough to walk anywhere in Chora and set apart to be quiet and comfortable. You have to ask Carolina for tips on where to go and what to do, she was more than a hotel owner/host, she made our entire trip so much better! The beds were super comfortable and the space always clean and well maintained. The staff from the owners to breakfast servers to room cleaners were friendly and helpful and so glad to help enhance our time there.

A wonderful 4 night stay in a lovely contemporary styled double deluxe room. Great sea, castle & windmill views particularly at sunset. |Carolina & the team were totally on the ball, local cruise and car rental recommendations were spot on. Ordering breakfast via a tablet was a first, however the menu was extensive, very tasty and arrived right on time. |The central location is a big plus when it came to restaurants, bars and of course grabbing a few essentials from the main supermarket.

We spent five days at this excellent small boutique hotel. From the moment we were picked up by Carolina from the harbour until she drove us to the airport at the end of our stay everything was perfect. She is a wonderful host and is always on hand to address any queries. The room, the large balcony with the amazing view of the Chora, the staff and the delicious breakfasts made for such an enjoyable stay.
